When to leave an abusive relationship

Question: I have recently finished reading and studying your book Save Yourself and found it to be most enlightening and inspiring. Thank you so much for bringing forth these teachings.

Page 129 – My understanding of the concept presented here is that it is not necessarily your karma when someone abuses you but it is always an opportunity to learn and grow. How can one distinguish whether or not they are receiving returning karma in an abusive relationship?

Excerpt from the book:

Question: Speaking of challenges that we encounter on the path. Is there a specific attitude or approach that will help people deal with life’s more difficult situations in a way that helps them grow?

I would recommend that you adopt the attitude that everything that happens to you is an opportunity for growth. Even life’s most difficult situations offer you an opportunity to learn something about life and to grow. It can be used as an opportunity to let go of some element of the lower consciousness or some attachment to the things of this world.

I want to make it clear that I am not thereby saying that everything that happens to you is acceptable according to some ultimate standard. It is not correct to say that if someone abuses you, it is just an opportunity for you to learn, and therefore abuse fits into the great scheme of things. Abuse, violence and other types of unkind behavior is not part of God’s plan or vision for this universe.

What I am saying is that you should approach every situation as an opportunity for you to grow, regardless of what other people do or how they respond to the situation. In that respect, it is extremely important to understand the Law of Cause and Effect. According to this law, no one can escape the consequences of their actions. If someone abuses you, that person will make personal karma and the person can never escape that karma. This is described in the Bible in the statement, “Vengeance is mine saith the Lord, I will repay.” The true meaning of that statement is that God will make sure that every lifestream will reap what it has sown. No one will escape the consequences of their actions.

When you understand how exact God’s law is, you can overcome one of the major stumbling blocks on the spiritual path. If you look at history, you will see that millions of people have allowed themselves to be dragged into drawn-out conflicts with other people. In many cases, such a conflict started because one person did something wrong to another. However, the second person now entered a state of consciousness in which he or she felt that it was necessary to punish the first person. When people enter that state of consciousness, when they respond with anger, hatred or the need for revenge, they are actually punishing themselves. [end quote]

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

This can be determined only on an individual basis. If you will use the spiritual tools I have given, especially the technique for inner attunement, you will gradually come to an intuitive understanding of what is happening in your relationships.

As a general guideline, let me advise people to be very sensitive to what they feel about a situation. For example, many people are in an abusive relationship but simply do not feel that they can let go of the other person and move on. If this feeling comes from deep within your heart, it is most likely a genuine intuitive sense that you are not done with the other person. The reason is that you either have not balanced your karma with that person or that you have not learned the lesson you needed to learn from the relationship. Either way, this intuitive sense is a clear indication that you need to stay in the relationship. (Unless the relationship is violent and your safety or heath is a concern.)

That being said, I also strongly encourage people to use the spiritual tools and to learn the lessons they need to learn from the situation. Once again, inner attunement is important and I encourage people to use the violet flame and the invocations and make specific calls for the consuming of all karma you may have with the other person. If you will diligently use these tools, you will at some point come to a clear inner recognition that something has fundamentally changed in the relationship. Either the relationship will improve, or you will know that it is time to move on.

Let me make it clear that many people stay in an abusive relationship when they should not do so. So the distinction here is whether you are acting on an intuitive impulse, which shows you that it is not time to move on, or whether you are acting based on fear of what will happen when you move on. Generally, you should never stay in a relationship because of fear. When fear is involved, you are always in an unhealthy situation that will impede your spiritual growth. Therefore, if you are committed to spiritual growth, you need to overcome those fears so that you can get a clear sense of what is the right course of action concerning the relationship.

Again, use the spiritual tools to overcome this fear. Be diligent about giving calls for your spiritual protection and ask Archangel Michael to consume your fears. Use the technique for inner attunement and ask your Christ self to show you how to overcome your fears and how to reach a higher understanding of the spiritual dynamics of the relationship.

I do not encourage anyone to stay in a relationship because of fear. Yet if you have fear, it will always impede your spiritual progress. Therefore, I encourage you to make it a priority to overcome the fear. This will give you greater clarity and make it easier to decide if or when to end the relationship.

Dealing with karmic relationships

Question: Were a person to learn that they had a twin flame who ascended centuries ago, are they destined then to walk without that twin flame during this lifetime and to walk with a soul mate instead?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

It is quite possible that a person’s twin flame has ascended, and in some cases that twin flame might have ascended centuries ago. In fact, many of the people who are consciously on the spiritual path, and who are making great efforts to raise their consciousness, are doing so precisely because their twin flames are already ascended. The ascended twin flame exerts a magnetic pull on the lifestream. This compels the lifestream to come up higher and to sacrifice many of the temptations on earth in order to regain union with the twin flame. So while it might seem like a loss that your twin flame is ascended, it can be a great advantage for a lifestream who is on the spiritual path.

Many people assume that the ideal love relationship can only be experienced between twin flames. In reality, that is not the case. There have been examples of people in embodiment who were married to their twin flames. However, if the two lifestreams had karma with each other, or if they had not resolved their psychology, the relationship was not necessarily a harmonious one. Being married to your twin flame does not guarantee that your relationship will be a fairy tale.

Every relationship requires commitment and work. First of all, it requires commitment from each partner to overcome the limitations in his or her psychology because such wounds stand in the way of a harmonious relationship. If you have this commitment, then you can experience a very high relationship with a soul mate. So I encourage people not to dream about a fairy-tale relationship with the twin flame, but to commit themselves to make the best of the relationship they have, whether it be with their twin flame or a soul mate.

Let me finally say that many love relationships on earth are not between soul mates. Many lifestreams are attracted to each other because they have karma with each other. At the deeper levels, the lifestreams have a strong desire to work out that karma. However, at the level of conscious awareness the lifestreams might not be aware of this commitment, and this can lead to many clashes between such lifestreams.

If you experience such a relationship, it is important to recognize the overall purpose for the relationship, namely the need to balance karma and to work out the kinks in your psychology that prevent you from moving on. The last thing you want to do in a karmic relationship is to make more karma with the person and refuse to learn your psychological lessons. If you strive to maintain harmony and strive to learn your lessons, you can balance the karma quickly. You will eventually either have a good relationship with the person, or you will be free to move on to a better relationship.

What I am basically saying here is that everything that happens to you contains within it an opportunity to grow. If you look for the hidden lesson and embrace the opportunity, you can make major progress on the spiritual path, and this will eventually open up for better outer conditions as well.

Do we have to like everybody?

Question: You say we must love everybody, but I was wondering because I’ve heard it said: “but you don’t have to like everybody”.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

When you love somebody with the unconditional love of God, you are setting that person free to be who he is, and in so doing you are setting yourself free to be who you are. When I say you must love everyone, I mean that you must love everyone with the unconditional love of God. That love is unconditional, meaning that it is above and beyond all human likes and dislikes.

When you truly embody the unconditional love of God, you no longer consider whether you like somebody. You simply express love to everyone you meet without expecting a particular response in return. When you no longer have human expectations, you have achieved spiritual freedom, the freedom that I demonstrated.

However, take note that unconditional love is not always soft. When I rebuked the lawyers, I did so with the unconditional love of God that simply would not allow them to remain stuck in their self-centered state of mind. Therefore, my challenge, given in the firmness of love instead of the inharmony of human anger, did give these lifestreams an opportunity to choose the Light of Christ over their self-imposed darkness.

Question 1: Hello Jesus- I am blessed to be able to contact you. Thank you. My question is about having to avoid ‘evil’ spirits (unclean spirits that can enter us if we do not fill ourselves with your spirit). It is written in the website that we must work on keeping our energy positive and avoid negative spirits that can drag us down. I see such people here in my office – filled with negativity, bad vibrations – should I avoid them? Or do I reach out to them and try and love them? maybe they are filled with negativity because they have never been loved? or are they evil spirits? how do I know the difference? I feel they are the ones who have been hurt and that I should reach out and love and help them to be healed.

Question 2: I try not to associate myself with people who have habits that I do not support, like excessive drinking, swearing etc. However I found that I wasn’t hanging out with a lot of people and was more likely to sit at home feeling sorry for myself. So is it better for me to protect myself and associate with such people or associate myself only with people who are spiritually minded?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

These are very important questions, and they are important for several reasons. One of the recurring themes on this website is that human beings have descended into a state of consciousness in which they are trapped in a dualistic view of the world. When you consider the topic of negative people and evil spirits with the dualistic mind, you tend to gravitate towards one of two extremes:

One extreme is the fear-based approach, causing you to feel that you should do everything possible to avoid people who are negative or who might possibly be influenced by evil spirits. This will inevitably cause you to become very judgmental, because you have to set up a standard for determining who is negative and who is not. That standard will inevitably be an expression of your fears and of your belief system. That is why you see so many mainstream Christians who become extremely judgmental toward those who do not live according to the ideal or standard defined by their particular church.
The opposite extreme is that you reason you simply have to love everyone or love everyone the same way. This means that you do not judge according to a human standard. Yet it also means that you do not discern according to a divine standard. This can easily cause you to open yourself up to people or forces that want to manipulate you in order to steal your spiritual light. Such forces are ultimately a bottomless pit and no amount of love will ever fill them up. So by giving them your love and light, you are simply wasting that light by casting your pearls before swine. Unfortunately, I see many people in the New Age movement who are taking this approach.

If you step back and look at both of these approaches, you will see that they spring from the same state of consciousness, namely a refusal to discern what is of God and what is not of God. Many Christians refuse to do this by clinging to outer doctrines. They think they don’t have to use their personal discernment because they just need to mechanically follow the doctrines and rules defined by their church. This is black-and-white thinking. Many New Age people also refuse to use their personal discernment because they think they should indiscriminately act loving toward everyone. This is gray thinking.

As I attempt to explain throughout this website, there is an alternative to going into any of these extremes. That alternative is to reach for the mind of Christ, which allows you to rise above the dualistic state of consciousness. An important aspect of the Christ mind is the ability to discern what is of God and what is not of God. When you do take the Christ perspective, you realize that it is impossible to give a general answer to the questions asked above. There are only individual answers because every human being is a unique individual.

My point being that you need to make a personal determination as to how and to what extent you will interact with negative people. Let me give you a few thoughts that might help you find your personal balance.

Thought 1.
The basic question of how to deal with negative people can be broken down into the following two questions:

Should I avoid negative people?
Should I give them love and thereby possibly help them overcome their negativity?

The answer to the first question depends mainly on who you are, or rather your level of spiritual maturity. If you have invoked a high degree of spiritual protection and you feel you can avoid taking in people’s negativity, then you don’t need to avoid negative people. If you have attained a clear sense of who you are and a clear sense of your self-worth, you can interact with negative people without having them affect your sense of identity and self-worth. If you have attained a high degree of Christ discernment, you can interact with negative people without falling prey to their subtle attempts to drag you into their negative spirals and control you.

So one might say that for each person there is a balance to be found. Your level of protection, self-worth and Christ discernment will determine what level of negative people you can interact with without being dragged down with them. And the bottom line here is that if you are to pull somebody else up, you simply cannot allow them to pull you down.

Concerning the second question, this depends largely on the other people. Some people have become so enveloped in negative energies or dark spirits that they cannot be helped by any human being. Only the power of the Holy Spirit has any chance of pulling these people out of their negativity, yet even the power of the Holy Spirit cannot work against people’s free will. So there truly are some people that you should not attempt to help unless you have a momentum on being an open door for the power of God to work through you. Such people cannot be helped by any amount of human love, kindness or sympathy. They will simply take your light and immediately misuse it to maintain or reinforce their negativity.

Yet it is also true that there are many people who have been emotionally hurt, and therefore they have become enveloped in a negative spiral. Such people can be helped by showing them love, although true Christ love is far more effective than any amount of human love.

You now see the basic balance that must be found. Your level of spiritual maturity determines what level of negative people you can deal with without being pulled down. Yet you also need to realize that there are some people who cannot be pulled up until they are willing to change their approach to life. Thought 2.
If you are interacting with negative persons in the hope of helping to pull them out of their negativity, you need to be able to withstand their attempts to pull you down. Many negative people will unconsciously try to pull everyone else down to their level. If you allow yourself to be pulled down, you have not helped that person, and you have created problems for yourself.

This is not an act of true Christ love. It might be an act of naive human love, but I encourage you to rise above that human love. There are simply too many people and forces in this world who will take advantage of human love and human sympathy. I can assure you that many true spiritual seekers have been fooled into allowing themselves to be dragged down out of a misguided sympathy for negative people, dark forces or even sympathy for the devil.

There is absolutely no reason to feel sympathy for dark forces or people who have allowed themselves to be possessed by such dark forces. You need to respect the Law of Free Will and accept that such people have a right to create a negative spiral around themselves. Yet you also need to respect your own free will and your right to stay out of their negative spirals. As a spiritual seeker, you have a right to build a positive spiral in your own life and to defended it against anyone or any force that seeks to pull you into a negative spiral.

Too many spiritual seekers have allowed themselves to feel – often through camouflaged pride – that they can change or save another person. Some people have spent a lifetime seeking to save another person, be it a spouse, friend or family member, only to realize that you cannot help those who are not willing to help themselves.

Thought 3.
I know I have thrown concepts at you that can seem utterly confusing. How do you know when to be loving and when not to be loving? Here is my suggestion. Avoid making any judgments about this with your outer mind. Observe your reactions to other people, and be on the lookout for the following reactions:

Sometimes you will feel a strong urge to do something for another person, but if you take a closer look, you will see that this urge comes from your emotional body. Resist that urge.
At other times you will meet a person, and your first impression is to avoid that person. Then your intellect starts arguing back and forth, and pretty soon you reason that it is Okay to interact with the person after all. Avoid falling into this trap of intellectualizing away your intuitive insights and first impressions.

I encourage you to strive for balance in all aspects of your life. In other words, avoid falling into any of the two extremes I described above. The way to do this is to follow your intuition instead of intellect and emotions. I give several techniques on the toolbox website for increasing your contact with your Christ self so that you can get more accurate intuitive insights. It is also important to maintain a strong spiritual protection because this will help you interact with negative people without being pulled down by their negativity.

You will probably realize that you already have a strong sense of intuition. If you did not, you simply would not have been open to the teachings on this website. So the bottom line here is to avoid having your emotional body or your mental body control your interactions with other people. Strive to rise above it and allow your Christ self to direct you concerning which people you should interact with and what form the interaction should take. If you always follow your intuition, you will never go completely wrong.

There will be cases where you try to help somebody and after a time you have to admit that your efforts did not bear fruit. However, this does not mean that you were wrong in trying. It simply means that no matter what you do, you cannot override their free will. Some people end up deciding that they will not be pulled out of their negativity. I can assure you that I know this as a spiritual teacher who for a very long time has been trying to help human beings rise above their own self-created negative spirals.

Thought 4.
When you interact with someone else from a consciousness of human sympathy or human love, you will notice that you are attached to the outcome of the interaction. So whenever you feel such an attachment, you need to be alert and realize that you have fallen below the level of Christ love. You then need to let go of the attachment by rising above it. It is non-constructive for spiritual seekers to become emotionally attached to negative people. This is an open invitation for dark forces to use such people to pull you away from your spiritual path.

You can use your emotional attachments to discover your personal vulnerabilities to dark forces. You can then use the tools on the toolbox website, or other appropriate tools, for healing your psychology to overcome these attachments and make faster progress on your path.

My point is that when you interact with negative people, it is extremely important to remain non-attached to them or their reactions to you. The more non-attached you can remain, the more you can become an instrument for the light and the love of God to help such people heal their emotional wounds and rise above negativity. The more you become attached, the more vulnerable you will become to being pulled down by their negativity, whereby you will only reinforce their negative outlook on life and make them even more anchored in a negative spiral.

What I am saying here is that it is human love that makes you feel attached, and this love will not pull people out of negativity. Only the perfect love that casts out all fear can do this, and when you are centered in divine love, you are non-attached. Divine love is unconditional, meaning that you will love others unconditionally. When you love others unconditionally, you are not attached to a specific reaction to your love, and therefore you cannot be pulled down by others.

Thought 5.
It is important to consider the fact that divine love is not the same as what most people see as love. Many people have the impression that if you are loving, you should always be soft, gentle and kind. This simply is not true. If someone has blinders on and is walking toward a cliff, it is not enough to gently ask the person to stop. You might have to yell, and if he still will not listen, you might have to rip the blinders from his eyes and point to the abyss.

This is what you saw me do numerous times when I challenged people 2,000 years ago. When I challenged the scribes, the Pharisees, the temple priest, the money changers and the lawyers, I was very firm and direct. Many people thought I was angry and that such behavior was not appropriate for the Messiah or a prophet. Yet, in reality, I was expressing the masculine aspect of divine love, which is very firm in not wanting someone to destroy themselves.

God’s love will not prevent you from destroying yourself if you really insist on doing so. Yet God’s love wants to make sure that before you make a self-destructive choice, you know exactly what you are doing and what the consequences are. In other words, God’s love will not let anyone destroy themselves without knowing what they are doing. If they do know and still insist on remaining in their negative spirals, then God will step back—as God’s representative did in the Garden of Eden.

Any true spiritual teacher will seek to enlighten people as to their options and the consequences of those options. And then the teacher will allow people to make their choices. If people choose to go against the advice of the teacher, then the consequences of their actions will be their new teacher.

My point is that when you interact with negative people, it can be necessary and appropriate to be very direct and firm in challenging their negative outlook on life. If you are not prepared to do this, it might be better for you to avoid such people and focus on building your contact with your Christ self. When you attain that contact, you can then allow your Christ self to challenge people’s negative beliefs through you.

In other words, no good can come from you using your human mind to challenge people’s beliefs. You should always let your Christ self work through you to accomplish this task. Do not allow yourself to become trapped in a spiral of human argumentation and conflict. Simply allow your Christ self to speak through you and state the truth. Then remain non-attached and allow people to respond to that truth as they see fit. If they consistently reject truth, then withdraw and allow them to reap the consequences of their free-will choices.

Thought 6.
Be aware that there are three basic reasons why people are trapped in negative spirals. One is ignorance, the second is habits and old momentums and the third is dark spirits. It is possible to help people overcome the first two problems by being gentle. You can seek to give them understanding and keep showing them kindness in order to demonstrate that there is a better way to live than by being trapped in negative spirals.

However, kindness will not work for people who are possessed by dark spirits. The only way to help such people is to help them become free of the dark spirits. Unfortunately, such people often are not open to being enlightened about their condition. Not many people in today’s world will respond positively if you tell them they are possessed by dark spirits. So what can you do?

Unless you have attained a high degree of Christhood, you should avoid dealing directly with dark spirits of any kind. They are likely to either steal your energy or direct negative energy or thoughts at you. So you can ask Archangel Michael to bind such spirits and cut the people free to make their own decisions without being overwhelmed by the dark spirits. The most efficient tool for this purpose is Archangel Michael’s Rosary. By giving this rosary for negative people for some time, you can cut them free from dark spirits, and this can make them more open to other approaches.

Yet be aware that no spiritual ritual will violate people’s free will. If people are not willing to let go of the dark spirits, Archangel Michael cannot take them. So there might come a point where you have to let these people go their ways and spend your energy and attention on people who are willing to grow. Allow your Christ self to show you when it is time to move on.

Question: Greetings, First thank you for this wonderful enlightening site. It is enhancing my spiritual awareness and spiritual growth. My question: I know it is my responsibility to forgive and pray for people who do harm to me, so is it spiritually acceptable to file charges against people who are discriminating and harassing one in the work place?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

An excellent question, which touches upon one of the central dilemmas of human existence and also gives me the opportunity to comment on a common misunderstanding of my call to turn the other cheek. Let me give you a teaching on how we of the ascended masters view such situations.

Let me first say that in any interaction between human beings, the concern of the ascended masters is always to give all parties involved the maximum opportunity for growth. We are not so much concerned about the specific outcome of a situation as we are concerned with the growth of all people involved with that situation. So with that in mind, let me comment on this situation and millions of similar situations that happen on a daily basis the world over. The essence of the situation is that one person is violating the Law of Love instead of doing unto others as he or she would have them do unto him or her. The question now becomes how the person who is at the receiving end of this action should respond to the situation.

Your first and foremost concern should be to avoid creating negative consequences for yourself. To achieve this goal, you need to follow my call to turn the other cheek. When you understand the true meaning of turning the other cheek, you see that it means that you respond to all situations with unconditional love. When you respond with this love, you can avoid falling into the trap of engaging in negative human feelings, such as the sense of being a victim, a feeling of fear, a feeling of anger or a desire for revenge. When you avert such feelings, the Prince of this world comes and has nothing in you. Therefore, you will not create negative consequences, meaning misqualified energy or karma, from the situation. You can actually go through the situation and maintain your purity and innocence without being stained by the actions of the other person. This prevents you from being dragged into a negative spiral that actually binds you to the person who is abusing you, instead of binding you to the Christ self within you.

That being said, it is essential to realize that turning the other cheek does not mean that you become a pacifist and passively allow other people to abuse you. This is a subtle point that has been misunderstood by many Christians, who do see the importance of responding to situations with love but who do not understand that divine love has two sides. As Mother Mary explains in her discourse, God has two aspects, namely the expanding force of the Father and the contracting force of the Mother.

When you turn the other cheek and avoid engaging in negative feelings, you are using the Mother aspect of divine love. This is the flame that empowers you to remain pure and nonattached in the face of any atrocity found in this world. Yet it is important for you to also use the more active flame of the divine Father. This is the flame that empowers you to take the appropriate action that will give both yourself and other people the best possible opportunity to grow from the situation.

When you understand the two aspects of divine love, you cannot allow the person who is abusing you to continue doing so, because you know that it will harm the person in the long run. So precisely out of unconditional love for the other person, you will spontaneously take action to stop the abuse. This is what you saw me do when I challenge the scribes , the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the temple priest and anyone else who promoted the fear-based approach to religion.

In your particular situation, I would recommend the following:

First look at yourself and make sure you are completely nonattached. If need be, use the Forgiveness Rosary to overcome all negative feelings towards the other person. Use Archangel Michael’s Rosary to protect yourself from any dark forces that might cause you to feel negative feelings or to feel as a victim.
When you are aware of the spiritual side of life, you have a unique opportunity to work on the situation by using the spiritual tools we give on the toolbox website. For example, I would recommend that you give Archangel Michael’s Rosary and specifically call for the binding of all dark spirits that are using the other person and getting that person to engage in unloving behavior. You should also call for the binding of the person’s anti-self that is preventing the person from seeing his or her behavior as wrong. You might also use Mother Mary’s invocations or the Violet Flame decrees to consume all karma you might have with that person. Let me give you a sense of co-measurement. If you feel any negative feelings towards the other person, then you either have certain blocks in your own psychology or you have karma with the other person from past lives. It would therefore be extremely prudent for you to resolve these blocks before you go any further.
When you have achieved non-attachment, gently but firmly make the other person aware that you consider his or her behavior unacceptable and that you would like it to stop. If the person responds positively and seems genuinely willing to stop the behavior, this might be enough. If the person does not seem genuine or responds negatively, calmly tell the person that you will alert the appropriate authorities in your company and if necessary file a suit for sexual harassment.
After you have talked to the person, go to the appropriate person in your company and make them aware of the situation without filing an official complaint. Simply give them the opportunity to grow by responding to the situation as they see fit. Make them aware that you have talked to the person and asked for the behavior to stop, and if it does stop, you have no desire to see further action. Yet give them the opportunity to take such action if the person harassing you has already done the same to others.
If the behavior does not stop, then go back to the authorities in your company and file an official complaint. Ask them to make sure that this behavior does not continue.
If the authorities of your company do nothing to stop the problematic behavior, then go back to them and say that unless the behavior is put to a stop, you will file a lawsuit.
If your company still does nothing to stop the behavior, then, and only then, go to the courts and file an official suit against the person harassing you and against the company that has done nothing to stop it.

You can adapt this gradual approach to most other situations. Yet be aware that in any situation that involves other people, you must always respect their free will. Therefore, you must do what is right to the best of your understanding, and then remain nonattached to the fruits of action. If people do not respond as you feel they should, do not engage in negative feelings. Instead, use the spiritual tools to call for their protection and enlightenment. If they do not change, call forth God’s judgment upon the situation.

If there is still no change, remain nonattached. In some cases, other people refuse all calls to change, but when you have taken appropriate action to give them the opportunity to change, you will come to a point where you have fulfilled your obligation to them. You might then feel like it is time to move on. When that happens, simply leave the situation behind you or leave behind all attachments to the situation or a specific outcome.

If you can remain nonattached, you will always grow from the situation, and if you grow, your experience of the situation will improve, even if the outer situation does not change. Yet when you change, you will often find that outer situations resolve themselves and you find you have risen to a higher level than before.

Can you see that by taking this gradual approach, you give all people involved the maximum opportunity to grow from the situation without falling into the trap of responding with anger or seeking revenge? First of all, you give yourself the opportunity to grow from the situation instead of allowing yourself to become a victim or seeking revenge. Whenever you feel attachments to a specific outcome of a situation, you know you have encountered one of the blocks to your personal Christhood. Therefore, use the opportunity to remove that block and take a giant leap toward being who you really are, instead of allowing the Prince of this world to define you through weak-minded people.

Let me say again that the key to personal Christhood is to respond to all situations with love. And the key to responding with love this to realize that love has two aspects. One is the Mother aspect that empowers you to turn the other cheek and remain nonattached. The other is the Father aspect that empowers you to take Christlike action, as opposed to the dualistic human action, to stop the situation and prevent it from escalating into a downward spiral for all involved.

I actually gave this teaching 2,000 years ago, but it was never fully recorded by the Gospel writers because they did not completely understand the teaching. And certain fragments that were recorded in the original scriptures were since distorted or edited out, so that Christians today have been given a one-sided view of my teachings on divine love. Therefore, so many Christians take a passive approach to life and believe they should turn the other cheek and allow an abusive situation to continue. On the other hand, many people respond to such situations with anger, instead of understanding that to truly turn the other cheek, you must be nonattached so that the Prince of this world has nothing in you.

I know that responding to all situations with love is a delicate balance and a great challenge for people who have grown up in today’s polarized world. Yet it is also a great opportunity for growth because it allows you to turn all situations into stepping stones on your path to personal Christhood.

Is it a sin to change your appearance, such as cosmetic procedures or dyeing hair?

Question: Is it a sin to cut or dye your hair? Or to remove body hair? (As the Sikhs teach.) What about cosmetic procedures? I’ve heard that every single thing about your appearance is the result of karma. Is this true? Some teachings say that the color black is evil and ties you to the astral plane, so are people with black hair evil? I think black hair is by far the most beautiful color hair. Does that mean I have some former association with the fallen ones? When I was 25, I dyed my naturally golden blonde hair black, and my grandma flipped out and said it was a sin to dye my hair black since God made me such a beautiful blonde. At the time I thought she was completely crazy and biased, but now I wonder. There seems to be such a strong bias towards blonde hair, is there a spiritual reason for that? Since lighter is better spiritually, (i.e., the path of light and dark, lighter as in higher vibrational frequency, etc.,) does it mean that lighter skin, hair and eyes have a higher vibrational frequency than darker ones? And is it okay to color your hair if it’s grey (as mine is now becoming)? I’m about to dye my hair again, but I don’t want to misqualify any more energy than I already have. Is it a sin to get liposuction if your body is completely unbalanced and disproportionate whether you are heavy or thin (as mine is)? Or a nose job if you have a hook nose or something extreme? Or breast implants if they don’t develop or someone has to get a mastectomy? I’m not talking about vain Heidi Montag-type stuff, but if it’s truly needed, is it OK? Or are you supposed to live with what you’ve got no matter how wretched?

In order to fully understand my answer, I recommend you study my discourse on the Way of Christ versus the way of anti-christ. In that discourse I make it clear that the entire concept of sin was created by the fallen beings who seek to control humankind.

What is the psychological effect of the concept of sin and judgment? It is to get you to focus your attention on an outer standard instead of focusing your attention on establishing or expanding the connection with your I AM Presence. The false teachers want you to think that you need an external frame of reference defined by them, defined in this world. What the true teachers want is for you to attain the internal frame of reference, so that you know from your Presence what is the right thing for you to do, situation by situation. The false teachers want you to decide what to do or not do based on their external, never-changing standard. The true teachers have no absolute or universal standard; we want each person to follow the inner directions from his or her I AM Presence or spiritual teacher.

The reason why the false teachers have been successful in getting people to accept the concept of sin is that it offers people a seemingly easy way out of making their own decisions. Once you accept that a certain church has an infallible teaching and standard, you no longer need to refer every decision to your I AM Presence. Thus, if I answered this question by saying the described activities are not sins, then some would reason that I am saying you can do whatever you want. Yet my answer is more subtle and more profound, for those who are willing to use their intuitive faculties.

Now consider an even more subtle psychological effect of the concept of sin. It causes you to become very focused on, very concerned about, what you do in this world. It causes you to focus on your actions instead of focusing on your state of consciousness. What I attempt to explain in the discourse is that it is not your actions that will determine whether you go to heaven; it is your state of consciousness.

Your actions are obviously the products of your state of consciousness. However, it is possible to willfully suppress certain actions without changing your consciousness. For example, many people have learned to suppress acts of violence, but they still feel angry at others. And many spiritual seekers have learned to always speak softly and kindly, but they have not dealt with the emotions in their subconscious minds. None of this will get you to the ascended state.

The attempt to secure salvation through actions/non-actions is an outcome of the false path to salvation, where the false teachers want you to believe that if you do what they define as right and don’t do what they define as wrong, then God will have to accept you into heaven. This is the illusion that if you can fool everyone on earth, you will also fool God. Nothing, of course, could be further from the truth. Nothing can be hidden from God’s representatives because nothing can be hidden from the Christ mind. God will not take you into his kingdom. You must raise your state of consciousness until you attain the very state of consciousness that IS the kingdom of heaven.

Do you see my point? Your actions will not get you into heaven, nor will they keep you out of heaven. The determining factor is your state of consciousness, the deeper reason why you do or don’t do certain actions. So the conclusion is that the things you describe here are not sins. It is not whether you do or don’t do them that matters; it is your state of consciousness that matters.

So, ideally you should make your decisions based on the inner direction from your I AM Presence. Yet until you get a clearer direction, I will offer you a “standard” for evaluating your behavior. It has several elements:

You have free will, but so has everyone else. If you violate other people’s free will, you are obviously stepping over a boundary. Yet doing something that only affects yourself is truly a matter of your choosing. So within a very wide range, you can make any choice you want. However, if you want to make maximum progress, you need to look at your choices and consider what they tell you about the underlying state of consciousness. Why did you feel compelled to make a certain choice, what were the arguments you used to justify that choice?
As I say in my discourse, the most important task for you is that you engage in a path that gradually helps dis-identify yourself from your current role. In other words, if you are making progress on the Way of Christ, you will experience that you are becoming less and less concerned about – attached to – the conditions of the material world. You will no longer allow such conditions to steal your attention away from the inner contact with your Presence. Thus, your main focus will shift from seeing the outer things as important in themselves, to seeing them only as means to an end. In other words, evaluate whether something increases or decreases the tension or balance in your life. Will doing or not doing something make you feel less attached to the world or more attached to the world? Does an activity take away your inner peace?
The task you have is to – when you have established a connection to your Presence – become an open door for the Presence to express itself in this world and fulfill your divine plan. Thus, you will do certain things because they help you fulfill your divine plan, not because you feel compelled to do them out of fear or vanity. This means that you don’t make decisions with the outer, analytical mind. You use your intuitive faculties and your decisions are based solely on an inner knowing—not intellectual or emotionally charged arguments. If you have to engage in internal or external arguments in order to justify doing something, then don’t do it.
Another concern is to always seek for balance in your life. This ties in with the foregoing points, but it has a separate element. How do you attain balance? By attaining a perspective that is outside your mental box and outside the collective mental box of humankind. In this respect, it will be helpful for you to contemplate the fact that God does not look at life the way human beings do. One of the most subtle psychological effects of the false path is that it tends to make people feel they are very important, even very important to God. Thus, people come to think that God is very concerned about them and every little thing they do. So you need to contemplate whether God really is concerned about you dyeing your hair or wearing make-up. Does the “salvation” of the universe really depend on you having black or blonde hair?

As you begin to contemplate these elements, you will begin to feel a shift in perspective. You will feel that the tension will start to evaporate, and you can then begin to make more relaxed – balanced – decisions, instead of thinking that what you do has some ultimate importance of deciding your personal fate or the fate of the universe. So with that in mind, let me comment on the topics you mention.

Cutting or dying your hair. Removing body hair. Using make-up.

As long as you are balanced about this, whatever you do will not hinder your spiritual growth. If you work in a professional environment, and you feel it is part of your divine plan to be there, then you can – if you feel this is right – adapt by wearing make-up or black clothes. But do so without being concerned about it. If you feel like cutting or dying your hair, do so without being concerned about it. Many women feel removing body hair makes them feel cleaner or purer. Again, this really is not an issue that you need to be concerned about. If you can do it peacefully, go ahead. If you feel a tension, then look at your psychology and find out why you feel the tension

Cosmetic procedures, such as liposuction, a nose job or breast implants.

In this case we are talking about medical procedures that carry a risk of physical danger or long-term complications. Thus, you need to carefully evaluate that risk before making a decision, and you should err on the side of caution. Liposuction is a violent procedure, and it would be far better – and produce permanent results – to work on your diet. The best way to reduce weight always has been to reduce the amount you eat and the amount of calories you eat. The vast majority of women should not – if they apply what I said above – feel a need for breast implants. Yet there could be cases where having implants would reduce the tension in your life and help you take your attention off the physical body. The same could be said for other procedures.

The bottom line is that if you feel tension or a compulsion to do something, then you need to look at your psychology. Why are you so concerned about your physical appearance? What do you fear would happen if your appearance was not up to a certain standard?

I realize many people have been mercilessly teased, ostracized or ridiculed because of their physical appearance since childhood. I understand that this can cause emotional trauma and low self-esteem. However, you could also look at it as an opportunity to discover any attachments you have and then permanently rise above them. Ask yourself why you chose to come into embodiment in a situation where you would be exposed to this? What did you want to learn from this situation? Was it perhaps to show others that you can be in this situation and yet rise above it and have a peaceful and fulfilling life? Was it to show that you can still be a loving and kind person even though you have been exposed to unkind actions from others? Then, get on with rising above it!

You may not be able to change your physical appearance or the reactions of other people. Yet the beginning of spiritual mastery is when you realize that no condition in the material world can ever have power over your Spirit. Thus, no condition can prevent you from changing yourself so that you are not bothered by material conditions.

Now for some of your other questions:

I’ve heard that every single thing about your appearance is the result of karma.

Every single thing related to your appearance is the result of some state of consciousness. Yet in many cases, it is not your consciousness but the collective consciousness of the group of people into which you have embodied. In some cases, you embody in a group because you share the same state of consciousness as the group. However, in other cases, people have volunteered to take on a certain consciousness in order to show the members of the group that they can rise above it.

The very density of the physical body and its propensity for disease is a product of the fact that humankind’s consciousness has been lowered far beyond the level at which the earth was created. All spiritual people are here to demonstrate that it is possible to raise your consciousness beyond the level of the lowest common denominator. Thus, don’t allow yourself to think that certain physical characteristics are a sign that you have done something wrong in the past. Instead, look at your consciousness and transcend your current level.

Some teachings say that the color black is evil and ties you to the astral plane

The color black is not evil. After the fall, black has become associated with what I in my discourse call “evil” or fallen beings. Inherently, there is nothing evil about black. When the Creator first created the void, there was no light in it, and thus it had no color—it was black. If you look into space on a starry night, empty space is black, but that does not mean space is evil.

It is, however, true that if you surround yourself with black, you can more easily attune your consciousness to the dark forces in the astral plane. Even psychologists have shown that people who are surrounded by black are more likely to develop depression. Yet this does not mean you should never wear black; only that I don’t recommend that you wear exclusively black. However, as you raise your consciousness and manifest non-attachment, you can wear black without opening yourself to the astral plane. So, again, there is no outer rule that can be applied universally.

I think black hair is by far the most beautiful color hair. Does that mean I have some former association with the fallen ones?

This is interpreting things too far. Your personal preference is often a product of inherited traits and cultural influences. There are many cultures where black is not considered evil, even some where people wear white when in mourning and black to celebrate life. It may have nothing to do with your past lives, or it may be caused by cultural influences in those past lives. Your I AM Presence has no personal preference for this or that color, and it really doesn’t matter which color you like better—as long as you are not attached to it.

… so are people with black hair evil? Since lighter is better spiritually, (i.e., the path of light and dark, lighter as in higher vibrational frequency, etc.,) does it mean that lighter skin, hair and eyes have a higher vibrational frequency than darker ones?

Human beings are more than their physical bodies; they are souls or lifestreams. Certainly, lifestreams embody in groups, but it is not correct to say that all people with black skin or all people with black hair are evil or are of a lower spiritual evolution. There are beings with high and low attainment in all groups, including people with blonde hair and fair skin. Not all blondes are good and not all blondes are dumb.

It is correct that in the etheric and in the spiritual realm, colors are more transparent and thus lighter. Yet this is simply a product of the difference in the density of the “matter” so that any form allows light to shine through it. A blue object can be as non-transparent as a black one. As I say in my discourse, the material universe was created at a certain level of density. There is nothing evil about this.

My point is that a color is simply a physical property, and there is nothing inherently evil or good about it. It is only the fallen consciousness that applies a value judgment to colors and thus ends up labeling one color as good and another as evil. Adolph Hitler obviously took this to the extreme, and we all know the result of this imbalanced reaction. Thus, I strongly encourage spiritual seekers to rise above any value judgment associated with the color of people’s skin or hair. In fact, I highly recommend you transcend all tendency to apply value judgments to both other people and yourself. This is what I attempted to explain 2,000 years ago when I said:

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. (Matthew 15:11)

Your state of consciousness is more important than your actions.

Or are you supposed to live with what you’ve got no matter how wretched?

This is an interesting question. In the Golden Age, more and more people will attain the awareness that the mind has power over matter. This will actually make it possible for people to change their physical appearance by using the power of the mind alone—at least within certain limits.

The shift in consciousness that will bring the Golden Age is precisely the acceptance that you don’t have to live with what you’ve got, including what you see on the planet as a whole. So the Golden Age will be manifest only if a critical mass of people adopt the consciousness that “We don’t have to live with the way things are and we have both the right and the power to change things.”

This shift in awareness has already begun, although so far it has been brought about mainly through technology. Nevertheless, it has started a shift in the collective consciousness, which opens people’s minds to the potential for changing things that only a generation ago would have been considered beyond human powers. Once people begin to realize that the mind is more powerful than technology, you will see rapid changes.

In that respect, even cosmetic surgery has had a beneficial effect, as has for example body building. I am not thereby saying that ascended master students should buy weights, start eating raw meat or slather their hairless bodies with oil. I am simply saying that any activity that challenges the belief that something cannot be changed, is actually – although sometimes in a somewhat bizarre way – having the effect of helping to open the collective consciousness to the potential for a Golden Age.

So, no, you are not supposed to simply live with what you’ve got. However, what you do in order to change what you’ve got should be subject to the considerations I have described here. And as always, I recommend you start by changing your mind before attempting to change anything else. Non-attachment is always a quality to cultivate.

Transcend a compartmentalized approach to health and nutrition

Question: In a recent dictation you told us that spirituality isn’t really limited to just religion, that spirituality can be in business, social agencies, even in nutrition. Other teachings say that the four attacks on the lower body were sugar, drugs, alcohol and nicotine. Do you have any tips on New Age nutrition, like eating beef, trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, any advanced tips on good health systems in general for us?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

The ultimate tip, so to speak, is to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. With that I mean that you seek first an entirely new approach to nutrition, where you do not have the approach that is so common in society today—that you see everything as compartmentalized, as separate. Where you think that if there is a particular problem in the body, then you have to find a cure that addresses just that particular problem. So you look for a particular kind of nutrition, or a particular medicine, or a particular natural remedy that will remove that problem.

Instead, you need to adopt a mindset, an attitude, that you are willing to change the totality of your consciousness away from duality into the Christ consciousness, the oneness of the Christ consciousness, where you see a oneness between who you are as a spiritual being and your physical body and your daily activities.

The Piscean age was often an age where people saw a separation between church and their daily lives. They went to church on Sunday, and they thought they had done all they needed to do to be in good standing with God, and then they could go out and have fun the rest of the week. This is not the kind of spirituality that will get you anywhere in the Aquarian age. Spirituality must be something you live in every aspect of your life, including business, including health, including nutrition.

So when you approach spirituality this way, you see that your body is an instrument that supports your spirit and your spirit’s expression in the material realm, including the fulfillment of your divine plan. And therefore, nutrition is a matter of giving the body what it needs in order to be the best possible instrument for your individual divine plan. And thus, you realize that if your body manifests some kind of imbalance or impurity, well then it is not a matter of finding some magical formula that can remove the symptom. It is a matter of looking in the mirror and saying, “Where is the imbalance in my consciousness, so that I can resolve it in consciousness first, and then everything else will fall into place.”

I am not saying you should ignore nutrition, I am saying that nutrition should be the natural consequence of your spirituality, rather than – as some New Age people have come to see it – that nutrition is the means to further your spirituality. For you can go on all the diets you want, you can go on all the cleansings you want, you can go on all the fasts you want, but they are not going to make you more spiritual if you are not willing to look at the beam in your own eye and shift your consciousness.

Then you are simply playing the game of pretending—as religious people have been pretending for so many thousands of years by going to church and thinking that that in itself was enough to get them to the Kingdom of heaven without changing their consciousness.

So what I am saying is, there is no magical form of nutrition. And you will see, especially in the New Age field, that many people will chase after this or that fad, waiting for the ultimate form of nutrition, whether it be this or that or the next thing. Or they believe that if they just avoid this kind of fat or that kind of fat or a third kind of fat, then they will somehow make it to the promised land.

But the promised land is a state of consciousness. And although the body can support your spiritual growth or detract from it, it is not the body that drives the growth, it is the spirit that must drive the body.

No spiritual power comes from a tattoo

Question: I have 6 tattoos, a dragon a cobra a panther a shark a mermaid and the Egyptian god anubis and my next one will be a fairie. Doesn’t one receive power from a tattoo. and is there a reason for what tattoo one gets. Subconsciously is there a deeper reason then the one explained for the meaning of a tattoo.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Contrary to what many people, including those who follow native spirituality, seem to think, one does not receive spiritual power from a tattoo. One might receive energy from a tattoo, but it is not spiritual energy.

Many of the things people do to adorn the physical body are actually showing a disrespect for the body temple. This includes tattoos, body piercing and even extreme use of make-up. Such practices originally sprang from a hatred of the Mother because it is the mother energy that is used to create the body temple.

Therefore, I highly recommend that people abstain from such practices. I realize that most young people in today’s world will ignore my recommendation. Yet I can assure you that defiling the body temple in any way, including the use of drugs, will not advance your spiritual growth. It will only slow down that growth, and for many people it can contribute to stopping that growth altogether.

There is a psychological reason for everything you do. You will be attracted to a tattoo that outpictures what is going on in your subconscious mind. Images have a very powerful impact on the mind, and throughout history images have been used to raise people’s consciousness or misused to control people’s consciousness.

In today’s world, images are misused more than at any time in the past. This is especially true for images of sex, death and any disharmonious image with jagged lines, asymmetrical forms and dark or clashing colors.

As I explain elsewhere, the world is created by images held in the universal Christ mind. On this planet, human beings have influenced God’s original creation, and this has been done in large part by the imperfect images people hold in their minds. Therefore, the forces that seek to disrupt God’s plan and enslave humankind have made skillful use of imperfect images to control people and cause them to co-create an imperfect world.

If you want to make maximum spiritual progress, you would do well to be very careful what type of images you allow entry into your mind. Your mind is your inner temple, so don’t bring anything into it that does not correspond to the level of spiritual consciousness you want to attain. Your body is your outer temple, so don’t do anything to it that would not support your spiritual growth.

The treatment of farm animals and eating meat

Question: Do you see any changes coming in the treatment of farm animals? They often suffer greatly at the slaughter houses and before. How do you feel about people eating meat?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

As humankind raises its consciousness, it is inevitable that there will be changes in the treatment of farm animals. What has happened currently is that animals have been reduced to pieces of property, to commodities. This is a reflection of the state of consciousness of a large portion of humankind who have reduced themselves to pieces of property, to commodities, in the name of profit and greed.

Nevertheless, this state of consciousness simply will not stand for the inevitable changes that are being brought forth by the release of light from the ascended masters. You will indeed see dramatic changes in this area within the next few decades.

As people continue to raise their consciousness, there will truly come a point where no human being will eat meat. Yet I also recognize that we are currently not at that level of collective consciousness. Therefore, it is currently acceptable and necessary for many people to eat meat, not only to gain physical strength but also to help them anchor themselves in the material realm.

Please do not misunderstand the following remarks. I am not saying that all spiritual seekers should eat meat. However, it is a fact that what is needed in the coming decades is that all truly spiritual people work diligently to bring about changes in the material world. Currently, many spiritual seekers are striving to attain a higher state of consciousness, and this often makes it difficult for them to deal with the material world or to bring about changes in this world. They are simply so absorbed in a spiritual state of consciousness that they cannot handle the challenges of the material world and therefore tend to withdraw from them.

However, there is a great need for these people to attain the balance of the Christ consciousness which allows them to maintain a spiritual state of consciousness while still working to bring about changes in the material world. This requires these people to be somewhat grounded in the material world, and eating moderate amounts of fish and fowl can help many people achieve this goal.

Once again, I am not here by making the statement that all spiritual seekers should eat meat. I am simply saying that for many people eating moderate amounts of meat would indeed help them fulfill their sacred labors of working to change the physical world for the better.

Eating meat

Question: Jesus: If when you were an Essene, you taught that it is wrong to eat animals, why are you now saying it is okay to eat meat in moderation. Didn’t you say, as recorded in the Holy Gospel of the Essene when you were an Essene that all meat eaters are in danger of damnation and going to hell? Wouldn’t the ideal thing be to eat raw vegan, which is food in the most natural state?

Compare the statement you are quoting to the official Gospels. I did actually say:

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. (Matthew 15:11)

This statement alone demonstrates that I was not primarily concerned with people’s physical diet but with their spiritual diet. That is still my primary concern.

You will also see from the Gospels that I did eat the Passover meal, which contains lamb. You will see that I multiplied the loaves and the fishes, and that I helped my disciples catch fish. So you can see that I was not a strict vegetarian, and I did not encourage my disciples to never eat meat of any kind.

However, 2,000 years ago most people did not eat very much meat. Their diet was primarily vegetarian because they simply could not afford to eat large amounts of meat. This has changed, and in today’s western society people can afford to eat large amounts of meat. As a result, most modern people eat far more meat than is advisable from a spiritual standpoint or even healthy from a physical standpoint. So I do encourage everyone to eat less meat.

However, I do not encourage any kind of extremism in diet. A person’s diet is a very individual matter. Therefore, you should always follow the directions from your Christ self and the signals from your body.

One of the themes on this website is that people have descended into a lower state of consciousness in which they are trapped by the relativity of the dualistic mind. This relativity often causes people to go from one relative extreme into the opposite extreme. In other words, a person might be awakened to the need for a healthy diet, but then take it too far into the extreme and use the outer will to follow a diet that is unbalanced or even unhealthy.

For example, I consider a raw food diet to be unsuited for most people because it is difficult to get sufficient variety in such a diet. To get variety, you need to include foods that can be eaten only when cooked.

I am not saying that no one should be on a raw food or vegan diet. I am saying that people should not be on such a diet for what I would call philosophical or outer reasons. In other words, the legitimate concern for minimizing the suffering of animals should not be the deciding factor in terms of selecting a vegetarian or raw food diet. What should be the primary concern is an intuitive insight that comes from the person’s Christ self. What I am saying here is that Christhood should be a greater concern than diet.

If you get an insight to be on a raw food or vegan diet, then by all means follow it. However, please recognize that not everyone will get the same insight. In other words, if you get the insight that it is right for you to be on a certain diet, please do not begin to believe that it is right for everyone. And please do not decide that you have to be on such a diet forever. Be sensitive to the signals from your body and your Christ self. Many people have forced themselves to be on a certain diet much longer than necessary, and in some cases they have damaged their bodies in the process.

I do agree that it would be better, both spiritually and for health reasons, to eat food that is as natural as possible. However, once again there is a balance to be found. There are many countries in the world where people eat food that is quite natural but nevertheless, because of a lower hygienic standard, filled with bacteria that make it unhealthy. However, the amount of chemicals used in many industrialized nations is clearly not right, and it jeopardizes both the spiritual and physical health of many people.

I predict that in the coming decades scientists will begin to realize that the amount of chemicals in the food poses an immense danger to public health. Therefore, I foresee that there will be major changes in the way industrialized nations grow, transport, preserve and prepare food.

Diet is a very individual matter. For some people it is right to follow a vegetarian diet, but for others this could actually be too extreme a diet for their current level of spiritual development. For some spiritually advanced people it could be counterproductive and prevent them from effectively fulfilling the work that they came here to do.

A raw food diet is an extreme form of diet that is suitable only for a very small number of people. Therefore, I do not recommend that people force themselves to follow such a diet. Once again, diet is a very individual matter. I highly recommend that people strengthen their intuition and use my technique for inner attunement so that they can get a feel for what is right for them before they decide to adopt any kind of extreme diet. For most people, it will be best to follow a very balanced diet with a good variety of foods.

I therefore recommend that people stay away from extremes, such as alcohol, caffeine, chemicals, refined sugars and red meats. Sweets give the body a chemical high, and when it wears off, the body craves more. This leads to an unbalanced state and in order to balance it, the body craves meat. So many people are caught in a treadmill of eating excess sweets that have an expanding effect (on the body and the mind) and then eating heavy meats that have a contracting effect. By cutting out the extremes, people can find a balance that is not only healthier for the body but also allows their minds to stay clearer and more focused.

As I explained elsewhere, there will come a time when the collective consciousness of humankind has grown to a level at which few people will eat meat. However, this condition is a long ways off, and therefore it is currently unavoidable, and even necessary, that a large part of humankind eats meat. So from an ideal perspective, one must say that it is wrong to eat meat. However, in the current conditions it would not be right for everyone to follow a vegetarian diet.

Oneness with unconditional joy

Question: Jesus, you said in a dictation from 2008 that nary a one of the billions of Christians on earth would associate your name with joy.

However, a google search for joy + “Jesus Christ” reveals over five million results, including testimonies and beliefs of famous Christians
such as Pascal, CS Lewis, and John Piper – all of whom clearly associated you with joy, especially in regards to their conversion
experiences. I understand that this is only a contradiction by outer reasoning, but as I am not yet ready to fully commit myself to the
inner path (due to an upbringing of fear-based fundamentalism), it might be helpful if you could help me work my way past this particular
outer stumbling block. I have known a few Christians who clearly manifested joy, and I think they would answer your question about
associating joy with your name in the affirmative. So, to my outer mind, either you are wrong, or I am misunderstanding something. I hope
it is the latter 🙂

Let me first commend you for being willing to study this website despite having had a fear-based fundamentalist upbringing. Let me also commend you for being willing to ask a question instead of making assumptions based on “outer reasoning.”

Let me begin by saying that if you study the scriptures, you will see that I had many, shall we say “verbal joustings” with the scribes and Pharisees. You will notice that nothing I said would convince them, for they were indeed not willing to look beyond their literal interpretations of the external word, the Torah. They had already decided ahead of time that I could not be right, and thus there was nothing I could say that could open their minds and hearts.

So even the Living Christ in embodiment cannot convince those who will only reason at the level of words, and who will not look beyond the outer words in order to open up to the WORD. Therefore, even the ascended Christ, speaking through an unascended messenger, cannot convince those who have already made up their minds and are not willing to even consider that there might be a higher understanding than what they see through the filter of their spiritual pride.

Indeed, many of the current fundamentalist preachers are the very scribes and Pharisees that opposed me 2,000 years ago, who have now reincarnated to claim they are the true representatives of Christ in today’s world. They would deny this, of course, and they have many clever interpretations to “prove” it, but I can read the Book of Life in which nothing is hidden.

My point is that if you look at a spiritual teaching and interpret it only at the level of words, you will find many contradictions. You will indeed be able to find contradictions – or what will seem like contradictions seen through a particular mental filter – on this website. Yet you can also find contradictions in the Bible and in many of the fundamentalist so-called literal interpretations. You can take virtually any teaching of sufficient complexity, and if you have decided that this particular teaching must be wrong, you will find contradictions or other means to prove it.

The reason being that any true spiritual teaching is given for people at different levels of consciousness. When this website was new, back in 2002, we addressed a certain level of consciousness, but today we address a much higher level of consciousness. Thus, you can indeed find seeming contradictions between the earlier teachings and what we give today—but only when you refuse to rise to the level of consciousness we address today.

However, what do you accomplish by labeling something as contradictions instead of looking for the deeper meaning that dissolves the contradictions? You actually reinforce your current mental box and thus refuse to follow the Living Christ when he appears to you and whispers in your ear, “What is that to thee, follow thou me.” This is, of course, your right, for the Law of Free Will gives you the right to have any experience possible on earth and to have it until you have had enough of it and want more.

So for those who want more, let me give you a few thoughts. First of all, let us look at what I actually said:

I AM the Real Jesus—not the fake Jesus that people have been worshiping for nigh 2,000 years, thinking that I need to be worshiped by human beings. Nay, why would I need to be worshiped, when I AM indeed an expression of the God Flame of unconditional, infinite, never-ending, inexhaustible Joy?

Now, how many of you – most of you having grown up in a Christian culture – would associate joy with the name “Jesus Christ?”

[Silence]

Apparently, none of you! [Laughter]

And it is quite understandable, my beloved, for I dare say that if you were to ask that question to the billions of Christians on this earth, nary a one of them would dare to answer in the affirmative.

You can interpret the expression “nary a one” in its strictest sense to mean no one, or you can interpret it more loosely to mean only a few. If you take all Christians and say the words “Jesus Christ” I can assure you that for the vast majority of them, “joy” would not be the first word that comes to their minds. The simple reason is that they have been brought up in a fear-based culture in which they have been taught that unless they declare me to be their lord and savior and follow the rules of their outer church, I will judge them and send them to hell.

I can read the hearts of all people on earth, and I can assure you that the vast majority of Christians have not transcended this fear-based approach, and thus they cannot approach me with true joy. Truly, some have gone beyond this, but I would say they are not what one normally calls Christians. As I explain on my website, I was not what most people today would call a Christian; I was a mystic and I desire all who follow my Way to become mystics. Can you truly say that Pascal, C. S. Lewis and even John Piper are Christians in a strict sense, or had they begun to cross the line and become mystics?

Why did they feel joy? Because they had had mystical experiences. When you have a mystical experience, it is possible to experience oneness with my Presence, and that Presence is indeed unconditional joy. So naturally, a person who has had this experience will know me as joy, which is gnosis. Yet gnosis is far beyond association, where you in your mind attach a concept to a topic. I truly wish all Christians would have mystical experiences and would come to know me directly in their hearts, and that is indeed part of my motivation for giving these new teachings. Yet we are not there yet.

Take note that in the quote above, I say “I AM indeed an expression of the God Flame of unconditional, infinite, never-ending, inexhaustible Joy.” Is this really what most people mean when they talk about or even feel joy? When a person has escaped a great calamity – such as the Chilean miners who were recently rescued – they often feel a certain elation that can be conceived as joy. But it is a joy that is in contrast to the dangers they have just escaped. Thus, it is a relative joy, a conditional joy and not the unconditional, infinite, never-ending, inexhaustible Joy that I AM.

Likewise, there are many people who experience a conversion experience and now feel they have escaped a terrible fate by being saved by Jesus (or rather, by the mental image of me they worship). Yet this is also a relative and conditional joy, and such people often feel this elation by comparing themselves to those who are not saved and thus are sure to burn in hell. Yet the question is how long this “joy” will last, and for most people it eventually burns out and leaves them feeling strained, causing them to put on a holy and cheerful appearance in order to hide their inner doubts.

This is NOT the joy that I came to bring to the world, yet fundamentalist Christianity is basically preaching it as a way to heaven. Do they really think that what might fool their fellow men will also fool me, and thus I will let them into the wedding feast without looking into their hearts? Hypocrites need not apply!

You will not enter heaven by feeling human, relative and conditional joy. You will enter heaven only by being willing to lose your life for the sake of coming into oneness with the unconditional joy that I AM. Thus, I would greatly appreciate people from a fundamentalist background who were able to demonstrate this higher joy to those who are still stuck on the broad way and have not discovered the narrow way of the true mystic, the true Christian. This, however, cannot be done by arguing with people at the level of words, but only by becoming the open door, whereby the Sun of my inexhaustible Joy can shine through you and awaken in people the inner longing for a direct encounter with my Presence.

Why do so many Christians refuse to consider that Jesus could be talking to humankind today?

Question from Kim: Jesus, I regularly get angry e-mails from Christians who accuse me of blasphemy for pretending to be you or who have other reasons for refusing to sincerely consider that you could be talking to us today—through this website or other means. They seem unwilling to consider that you could have something to say today that goes beyond what is in the Bible. What is the reason for this, given that one would think all who call themselves Christians would be open to hearing what you have to say?

There is only one reason: These people have adopted a man-made image – a graven image – of Christ and they refuse to compare it to the reality of who I AM.

Kim: That’s all you have to say about this?

Jesus: As I explain in Stop rejecting my gift to you, I gave humankind a gift 2,000 years ago:

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John, Chapter 14)

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John, Chapter 14)

The purpose of this gift is that people can get to know me – the Living Christ – within their own hearts, so they do not need to go through a church or doctrine outside themselves. Yet knowing the Living Christ in your heart makes it impossible for you to ignore the beam in your own eye, and thus knowing me means you have to change.

Those who are not willing to change must cling to a man-made image that I am a remote being, sitting in heaven without ever speaking directly to human beings. When people see a distance between themselves and me, they can insert a man-made image in that space. And this allows them to create the image that they are good Christians and that they can be saved without removing the beam – the ego – in their own eye. This is what I called the broad way that leads to destruction.

I could give a long discourse about this – as I have already done other places on this website – but the equation is simple:

For those who are willing to change, what I have said here will be enough to start the chain-reaction that will set them free to get to know me in their hearts.
For those who are NOT willing to change, no amount of words would make a difference. In fact, the more I say, the more they have to argue against.

Is Jesus Obsolete?

Question from Kim: Jesus, I have met many people who are open to the spiritual path, yet they think Jesus Christ is obsolete. Some of them have seen through the shortcomings of orthodox Christianity and think you have no real spiritual message. Others are open to the progression of spiritual ages and see you as the main spiritual teacher for the previous Age of Pisces. Yet because we have now moved into the Age of Aquarius, they think you are no longer needed. What would you say to such people?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

I fully understand why so many people reject me. I fully understand why so many people have given up on all religion because of their disappointment with orthodox Christianity. I fully understand why so many spiritual seekers and New Age people have given up on Christianity and reject anything related to Christianity. However, these people are throwing their own Christ children out with the dirty bath water of human power struggles. Regardless of how I have been portrayed by orthodox Christianity, the fact is that I am a universal spiritual teacher, and I have much to offer to the spiritual seekers of today.

It is important for all spiritual seekers to realize that there are certain cycles in the religious life, the spiritual evolution, of this planet. Each cycle, or age, lasts approximately 2,000 years, and during that time humankind is meant to grow to a new level of spiritual awareness. As an individual, you can gain a great advantage from understanding the current cycle and the opportunities for spiritual growth that it offers. This is especially true at this time because we are moving into a new cycle, the Age of Aquarius, that has unique opportunities for growth.

As you point out, many spiritually-minded people accept the progression of spiritual cycles and realize that I was the spiritual hierarch for the Age of Pisces. They also realize that I am not the spiritual hierarch for the next 2,000-year cycle of Aquarius. However, let me assure you that I am not done with planet earth, as expressed in the following quote, “I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). I still have much to offer to this planet, and people will clearly see this when they understand the progression of spiritual cycles.

Many spiritual seekers seem to have overlooked the fact that one spiritual cycle builds upon the previous cycle. The Age of Pisces was meant to set a solid foundation for the Age of Aquarius. Therefore, if you are a sincere spiritual seeker, it should be obvious that the key to moving into the consciousness of Aquarius is to fully understand and internalize the consciousness of Pisces. If you attempt to skip the consciousness of the previous age, it is like building a house without a foundation.

Many people realize that the Age of Aquarius is an age of freedom, yet what is the key to freedom? The true freedom that people are meant to attain in the new age is spiritual freedom and independence. People are meant to become spiritually self-sufficient so they no longer need an outer, dogmatic religion but can fulfill the following prophecy, “But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it” (Michah 4:4).

What is the key to spiritual freedom? I would hope I have made it clear that it is to rise above the separation of the dualistic mind and attain Christ consciousness. Only by becoming free from the dualistic extremes can you win true spiritual freedom. Therefore, you must go beyond the relative opposites that spring from the dualistic mind. One such extreme is the belief held by many Christians that you can be saved only be being a member of a Christian church. The opposite extreme is the belief held by many New Age people that you need to reject all organized religion and be a free agent, doing whatever feels good. Both of these extremes are based on a limited understanding of freedom.

The serpents of this world have found two main ways to pervert the concept of freedom. One is to seek to take freedom away through excessive control, and this is what you see outpictured in dogmatic religions and political tyrannies. The other way is to remove all restrictions and say that people can do whatever they want, as you see in some parts of the New Age movement and in some political philosophies. The problem with both approaches is that they deny the need for Christ discernment. One extreme says that people shouldn’t think on their own because the church or the state will think for them. The other extreme says that people shouldn’t think on their own because anything goes.

The key to freedom is to realize that because the universe will mirror back whatever you send out, you can be free only by being in harmony with the laws of God. Anything else will only hurt yourself and restrict your creative freedom. The true spiritual freedom that humanity is meant to attain in the Age of Aquarius can be obtained only through the Christ consciousness. And the way to manifest Christ consciousness is to discover and internalize my true teachings about the inner path to Christhood.

I realize that this inner path has been completely perverted and obscured by orthodox Christianity. Yet that is why I am now bringing forth new teachings to tell today’s spiritual seekers about the true path. The reason is that until you follow that path and attain some degree of personal Christhood, you simply cannot move into the consciousness of the Aquarian age.

So many spiritual seekers are sincere about bringing a new age of spirituality. If these people truly want to help bring in this golden age, they need to realize that the new age will not come until they themselves have learned the lessons they were meant to learn during the Age of Pisces. So many people are open to new spiritual teachings yet reject me as being outdated. Why not look for new teachings about my true message so that you can fully learn the lessons of the Age of Pisces and build a solid foundation for entering the consciousness of Aquarius?

The progression from one age to the next is not something that happens automatically when you reach a certain date. It is more than anything else a transformation in consciousness. Therefore, the earth will not move fully into the Age of Aquarius until a critical mass of people have manifested the Christ consciousness that they were meant to attain in the Age of Pisces. The problem right now is that this goal has not been met, and therefore the planet is currently in a precarious position. The earth is wobbling between two states of consciousness, and this could potentially lead to upheaval in nature and society, as we explain in Healing Mother Earth. Who will be willing to help us break this impasse?

Those who are willing must take a serious look at my true teachings. Because I was the main spiritual teacher sent to teach people about the path to Christhood, I am by no means obsolete in this age. In fact, most of the more mature spiritual seekers could make an immense contribution to the growth of humankind by internalizing the teachings I have given on my website. LINK If you look at the planet today, it should not be difficult to see that mainstream Christians are not likely to accept the teachings I give on my website. So my best hope for quickly raising the planet into the Aquarian consciousness is the many people who have already discovered the spiritual path in one form or another. I need these people to realize that the need of the hour is personal Christhood and that nothing else will do.

The golden age will not come until a critical mass of people manifest individual Christhood. As I mentioned elsewhere, there are currently 10,000 people on planet earth who have manifested a high degree of personal Christhood at inner levels. Unfortunately, the vast majority of these people do not consciously recognize their inner attainment, and therefore they do not dare to acknowledge and express it. There are also millions of people who have manifested a high degree of Christhood. These people could quickly make tremendous progress if they would consciously acknowledge their potential and be willing to engage in the path of expanding their Christhood.

Such people can be found in every walk of life. Many of them are found in traditional Christianity. Many of them are found in other religions. Many of them belong to no particular religion or subscribe to scientific materialism. And a substantial portion of them are found in the New Age movement. I need these people to quickly come to a conscious realization of who they are and why they are here. I am constantly trying to reach out to all of these people. However, I do believe that the most receptive people should be those who have already discovered the spiritual path.

Kim: Many Christians use this quote to argue that you are the only road to heaven, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). What is your response to that?

Jesus: My response is that the orthodox interpretation of this statement is incorrect. Membership of a Christian church will not automatically get you to heaven. Therefore, a more correct interpretation is to say that because I had attained oneness with the universal Christ mind, I was speaking on behalf of that mind. In other words, no one comes to the Father without putting on the mind of Christ. Nevertheless, the quote also has a deeper meaning.

When a spiritual age comes to a close, the spiritual hierarch for that age doesn’t simply vanish. Instead, he or she is promoted to a higher position, and I have indeed been given a spiritual office as the Savior or Planetary Christ for all human beings. The consequence is that in order to permanently ascend to the spiritual realm, a lifestream must pass through my spiritual office and my Sacred Heart. This has certain consequences.

Because of my office, I cannot allow lifestreams to enter the spiritual realm until they have attained Christ consciousness. Doing so would compromise my assignment from God. Again, this does not mean that a lifestream has to be a member of a Christian religion. But it does mean that the lifestream must choose to approach me and my office.

Therefore, a lifestream simply cannot enter heaven until it approaches me, and it cannot do so until it makes peace with me and everything I represent. That is another reason the teachings in the books and on my website are so crucial. There are currently millions of mature lifestreams who are being held back in their growth because they have come to accept a false image of me. These lifestreams could greatly speed up their progress by letting go of this image so they can accept me as a universal spiritual teacher, as their older brother, who is here to help them walk the path and attain Christ consciousness. I sincerely hope I can reach these lifestreams with my inner teachings. I am willing to make peace with every lifestream on earth. I hope every spiritual seeker is willing to make peace with me.

Is Jesus a gentle and loving teacher or a direct teacher?

Question: I have friends who say that the Jesus on your website is not the true Jesus. They say that Jesus Christ is the living symbol of unconditional love and immeasurable forgiveness. He is the One who always compassionately understands every human condition and accepts us all without conditions. Do you have any comment on that?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

In another answer, I talked about two different kinds of teachers, namely the direct type and the gentle type. I am fully aware that there is a widespread perception in the New Age and progressive Christian community that the ascended Jesus Christ, the real Jesus Christ, is a very gentle and loving teacher. Yet how did this perception come into being and how come so many sincere and open-minded spiritual seekers have come to believe in it?

If you take an unbiased look at the New Testament, even the Gospel of Thomas, you will see that there is no historical basis for seeing me as a gentle teacher. I was constantly challenging the scribes and Pharisees and often did so in a very direct – some will say harsh and judgmental – manner:

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44)

I also challenged my own disciples and exposed their illusions. I challenged the general Jewish attitude that they were God’s chosen people by reaching out to everyone the Jews considered outcasts. By telling people to turn the other cheek, I challenged the way just about every human being interacts with his or her fellow men. So based on the scriptures, one would have to say that the historical Jesus was a very direct teacher. The entire purpose of my mission was to challenge people’s illusions, and I did so with no restrictions whatsoever.

How come so many progressive spiritual seekers do not see this? Part of the reason is that they generally reject the official scriptures and say they were tainted by people’s mindset at the time. Thus, they use this as a justification for saying the scriptures paint an incorrect image of the real Jesus. Incidentally, it is correct, as I state throughout my website, LINK that the scriptures were affected by the mindset of the people who brought forth and received the scriptures—a fact I wish all Christians would acknowledge. However, it is not correct that the scriptures paint an entirely false image of me. I was truly a very direct teacher.

There are those who will say that even if I was a very direct teacher back then, I have now become entirely loving. They will base this partly on a number of false channelings, such as the Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ, a number of channelings by Sananda and by other beings who claim to be me. They will also base their image of a gentle Jesus on an unbalanced interpretation of certain otherwise valid teachings, such as A Course in Miracles.

The reality here is that – as a deliberate attempt to destroy the possibility that my true teachings can be resurrected in this age, as is the real purpose for my website – a group of false teachers (in and out of embodiment) have put forth a massive effort to create a false image of Jesus as a gentle teacher who is so loving that he tolerates every kind of human behavior. Many people have fallen for this because it allows their egos to justify that these people continue in their ways, thus justifying any kind of lifestyle or beliefs by the new, loving Jesus. This is true both in the New Age movement and in the potentially more progressive Christian movements.

In reality, this image of a loving and kind Jesus portrays me as having no personality or individuality. It essentially describes a non-person. Any spiritual teacher and even a messenger is allowed to express his or her true, spiritual identity – not to be confused with the human, ego-based identity – through his or her work. The reason is that as a spiritual seeker you must always be willing to look behind outer appearances – including the personality of the teacher – in order to reach for the Spirit of Truth. In fact, many genuine spiritual teachers deliberately portray a certain personality, even human flaws, as a way to quickly sort out the students who are not teachable because they are still focused on appearances.

However, how come even many mature and progressive spiritual seekers have accepted this false Jesus? The reason is that these people have risen above the black-and-white thinking. Thus, they clearly see that mainstream Christianity is still stuck in black-and-white thinking. These people see that Christianity has created a false Jesus, namely a black-and-white Jesus. The hellfire and brimstone preachers have portrayed me as one of their kind, as a judge who will send people to hell unless they blindly follow the dictates of the fundamentalist preachers.

What many spiritual seekers do not see is that the black-and-white image of Jesus represents one dualistic extreme. And the gentle and loving Jesus represents the opposite dualistic extreme. As I explain in the ego discourses, many of the more mature spiritual seekers have escaped the black-and-white extreme only to jump straight into the gray extreme. So where is the true Jesus to be found?

I am to be found only by following what the Buddha called the Middle Way, which is also the way I taught to my disciples. This is not a compromise between the two dualistic extremes, for it requires you to raise your consciousness and transcend both extremes. The ego thinks truth must be found in either one dualistic extreme, in the other extreme or somewhere in between. The Christ is above all dualistic viewpoints.

Every ascended being has risen above the human, dualistic state of consciousness, including human love. Human love is conditional and possessive. “In order to be worthy to receive my love, you have to live up to this and that condition.” Clearly, mainstream Christianity has portrayed me as a being with this kind of conditional love, with the conditions defined by the leaders of the Christian churches. This is a fallacy, but it is equally incorrect to jump to the opposite extreme, which says that unconditional love means that any human trait is acceptable.

In reality, I love every human being on earth, and I love every human being with a love that is completely without conditions. This means that there is absolutely nothing you could do to lose my love for you. No matter what mistakes you might have made or what beliefs, attitudes or actions you display, you are still worthy of my love. I love you regardless of who you see yourself as being right now.

However – and here comes the one thing that people in gray thinking fail to understand – the fact that I love YOU unconditionally does not mean that I love your imperfect beliefs, self-destructive attitudes and karma-making actions. In other words, I love the real you, your conscious self and true individuality. I do not love your ego and the human sense of identity that traps you below your highest potential. In other words, I love your container of self, but I do not necessarily love all the contents you have chosen to put into that container.

Precisely because my love for you is unconditional, I will not accept any conditions that keep you from being and expressing your highest potential and true individuality. Thus, I will constantly do everything in my power to help you rise above such limitations. And if you have developed an emotional attachment to some of your current beliefs, I will – if I think it constructive – be very direct in challenging those beliefs. In fact, because my love for you is unconditional, I am willing to run the risk that you will allow your ego to trick you into rejecting my attempts to free you, possibly even rejecting me and my directness, instead preferring the loving Jesus who does not challenge your ego. The fact is that accepting you without conditions is not the same as accepting you without discernment.

I could go on at great length, continuing to expound on this point, but I think that for those who are ready to come up higher, the point has been made and a word to the wise will be sufficient. Thus, the real question is: “Will you BE with me – the real Jesus Christ – or will you NOT be with me?”

The spiritual office of Savior

I have not embodied again, and I have not sent down a portion of my Being as a separate lifestream. The reason is that for the past 2,000 years I have held the spiritual office of Savior for this planet. I have therefore needed all of my attention focused on my spiritual activities. To use a popular expression, one might say that there simply isn’t enough of me to go around.

Question: Dear master Jesus/Kim, I am drawn to read your posts every day, it sustains me, but there is one thing I don’t quite comprehend. The way to salvation is to become the Christ. But why do you say JESUS Christ is the savior? To me, Jesus was a man who achieved christ consciousness, surely, but he is not to be confused with The Christ, a universal living being, is he?

NOTE: In particular, I refer to the following passage on this page:

“I am Jesus Christ. I am the being who is assigned by God to hold the office as Lord and Savior for every human being on earth”

Although this is moderated by:

“So many people think that by making a simple declaration of words they have accepted me as their Lord and Savior. This is not so.”

My point only is that it is not an historical human being who saves, surely, or even a very great lifestream, but the Christ Body alone. Jesus, Yeshua, Joshua ben Miriam… whatever appellation you prefer , … belongs to an historical archipelago – important, yes, but why can’t we leave behind this historical figure who is now confused with millennia of idolatry propagated by the Church? Can’t we leave behind the sandal wearing, ginger-bearded, long-haired cliché of sunday school and focus on the Christ? I mean, the real stupendous source and gateway to salvation? I was drawn to your site so I could get away from the idolatry surrounding this man who lived 2000 years ago, but that statement of yours seems to reinforce it.
Am I utterly confused.

An excellent question because its highlights the state of consciousness, the dilemma, in which many sincere spiritual seekers find themselves. It also highlights one of the main purposes behind the creation of my website.

I am well aware that so many sincere spiritual seekers have been brought up with a false image of me, an image that has been reinforced by orthodox churches over the past 2,000 years. I am also aware that in order for humankind to ascend to the next level of consciousness, a critical mass of people will have to leave behind this false image of Jesus Christ, and the entire consciousness of an outer Savior who is going to descend from the sky and whisk away all of their problems with one stroke of magic.

Yet it is precisely because of this awareness that I have decided to sponsor my website. It is my hope that I can inspire many sincere spiritual seekers to let go of the false image of Jesus without going into the opposite extreme of rejecting me and everything I stand for.

When people are trapped in the dualistic state of consciousness, they often tend to gravitate toward one of the polar opposites, one of the extremes. In other words, people’s viewpoints and behavior gradually become more and more extreme until they break under the strain and can no longer stand it. This has caused a number of lifestreams on this planet to take the orthodox Christian doctrines to the extreme in an honest attempt to follow me (for many this happened in prior lifetimes). These lifestreams finally got to a point where they realized that the mechanical or outer way of following Christian doctrines simply could not lead them to a higher state of consciousness.

In itself, this recognition is beneficial to the lifestream, because the lifestream now has the opportunity to get off the “way that seems right unto a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.” Unfortunately, as long as people are trapped in duality, they often tend to swing from one extreme to the opposite polarity. The result is that once people realize the fallacy of the orthodox Christian culture, they swing to the opposite extreme of rejecting everything related to Christianity and everything related to me. Thereby, they reject me as the true spiritual teacher that I am.

It is my sincere hope with my website that I can reach millions of spiritual seekers and help them see that there is an alternative to going from one extreme to the other. That alternative is to reach for the middle way of the Christ consciousness. The Christ consciousness is not a compromise between the to relative extremes. When you attain Christ consciousness, you transcend the relative extremes and the very consciousness that created them.

When you apply this to what we are talking about here, you will see that by taking the middle way, a spiritual seeker can indeed let go of the false image of Jesus promoted by orthodox Christianity without completely rejecting everything I stand for. You can therefore replace the false image of Christ with the reality of Christ. You can find part of that reality described on my website, but you can only gain the full reality through a direct inner experience whereby your Christ self and I will reveal that reality to you.

It is perfectly true that you can leave behind the “sandal wearing, ginger-bearded, long-haired cliché of sunday school” and focus on the universal Christ consciousness. As I explain throughout my website, it truly is the Christ consciousness that is the key to salvation. The problem is that the universal Christ consciousness cannot be expressed on planet earth. In order to be expressed on the earth, the universal Christ consciousness must become individualized. I was a spiritual teacher who came to demonstrate the individualization of the Christ consciousness. As I explain throughout my website, I was not the only person ever to have attained Christhood, and therefore there are certainly other spiritual teachers who can serve as examples for the path to Christhood.

Nevertheless, the important point here is that the spiritual path that has been offered by the ascended masters for many millennia is the path of the Master-disciple relationship, in the East called the Guru-chela relationship. It is a simple fact that as a spiritual seeker, you will make faster progress by finding a spiritual teacher who can serve as your example. This can be a person in embodiment or an ascended being.

The teacher becomes the open door whereby you can receive a portion of the universal Christ consciousness. And until you reach a critical mass of individual Christhood, you simply cannot receive the Christ consciousness in any other way. In other words, you cannot directly contact the universal Christ consciousness; you can receive the Christ light only in individualized form. In the beginning stages of your path, this can happen only through an external teacher, and when you reach a certain level of Christhood, it can happen through the internal teacher of your Christ self.

My purpose for my website is to offer people a more direct contact with me as an ascended being, so that they can quickly rise above the historical image of Jesus and tune in to the true spiritual being that I am today. Thereby, I can transfer a portion of my individualized Christ consciousness to them, as I did to my outer disciples 2,000 years ago. Those who will take advantage of this opportunity and use the tools I give to establish a personal contact with their Christ self and with me, can indeed experience a great acceleration of their spiritual growth. They can then become my inner disciples in this age.

If people are not able to free themselves from the false image of Jesus Christ, I have no problem with them finding another spiritual teacher—as long as it is a true teacher and not one of the many false gurus that peddle their wares in the marketplace. Many lifestreams on earth have a strong lifestream connection to another ascended master, and they should focus their attention on that master.

However, I do caution against the widespread belief among some New Age seekers that you do not need a teacher. The Master-disciple relationship goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden, and even beyond. It has been tested for so many thousands of years, and it has stood the test of time because it works. It is simply the most effective means to attain true spiritual progress. I talk more about this elsewhere.

It is important for all spiritual seekers to understand that the dark forces, the forces of anti Christ, have built a very elaborate culture on this planet that encourages people to rebel against their spiritual teachers and the entire concept of a spiritual authority. I caution all sincere spiritual seekers to avoid falling prey to these subtle lies that all spring from pride and that are specifically designed to appeal to the pride of the students, making them think that they can make it on their own without a spiritual teacher.

Finally, let me also say that you are correct that I am not the kind of outer savior that has been portrayed by orthodox Christianity. Yet it is true, as stated above, that I have been appointed the spiritual office of Savior for planet earth. Take note of the subtle difference between the statement “Jesus Christ is the Savior” and “Jesus Christ holds the spiritual office of Savior.” One implies that I will save you, whereas the other means that I hold an office as the main spiritual teacher assigned to teach you how to save yourself by internalizing the Christ consciousness.

It is God’s decree that I hold the office as Savior and that no one can enter the spiritual realm without going through my Sacred Heart, as I explain elsewhere. The consequence is that in order to enter the spiritual realm, a lifestream must make peace with me as a spiritual teacher. For the lifestreams who have been affected by the false image of Jesus Christ, this means that they must transcend that image.

Many lifestreams do this after the death of their physical bodies, yet for those who have found my website, why not take advantage of the opportunity to transcend this false image while you are still in embodiment? By doing so, you can make much faster progress over the rest of this lifetime. You will also feel that abandoning the false image of Christ and accepting the reality of Christ will be an incredible acceleration of your spiritual growth and your sense of peace of mind.

How can a person really find Jesus?

Question: If a person feels that they really believe in Jesus and can’t understand why God doesn’t talk to them, what would you tell them so that they could really find Jesus?

I would tell them to study the teachings on my website, so that they could come to understand the correct relationship between themselves and God. They would then realize that the only reason they feel separated from God and separated from me is that they have descended into a dualistic state of consciousness. They would realize that they have the option or walking a systematic path that will lead them back to the state of grace in which they have a direct connection to their Christ selves and through that connection a direct interaction with me and God.

I would especially recommend that they read the book The Christ Is Born in You and apply the tools I give in that book. That book was written specifically to help people heal their relationship with me and God, so that they can experience the oneness that is God’s gift to all life. Truly, no one can lose that gift, but people can temporarily close the door, so they do not realize that they have received the greatest gift of all, namely the gift of oneness with God.

I would also tell them to study my teachings on God’s unconditional love, so that they could realize that no matter who they are, what they believe or what mistakes they might have made, God still loves them with an unconditional love. And God is ever-ready to welcome them home whenever they raise their consciousness to the level that will enable them to accept and receive God’s love for their lifestreams.

Lord, Hierarch or Master

TOPICS: Jesus did not call himself “lord” – Jesus does not want us to fear him – Lord is a spiritual title – Lord of the Age of Pisces – Lord of the World – spiritual hierarchy moves on – we are part of that hierarchy and we are meant to hold certain spiritual offices – Jesus is not equal to God –

Question: Dear Jesus: Since you are my brother and not some idol as orthodoxy has taught us, are you still Lord or is in actuality Father-Mother God our Lord? Or since Saint Germain is the ascended master for this new age of Aquarius, is he Lord? I am confused once again as I feel like a little child who is for the first real time learning about the things of God. Please teach me!

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Let us first clarify the meaning of the word “Lord.” In reality, I never used the term Lord about myself. This was added by my disciples, and the unfortunate effect was that people came to see me as a ruler or owner.

If you read my comments on another question, you will see that the effect of many common forms of worship is to reinforce the fear-based approach to religion. It is so easy for people to see me as the owner or ruler over people and feel that they should swear allegiance to me or even fear me. This use of the word Lord has been greatly reinforced during the Middle Ages, when it became used for feudal rulers who had literal ownership over the people beneath them and therefore had absolute power over them.

As you will see from my teachings on this website, I have no desire to own anyone or to have absolute power over them. I have absolute respect for people’s free will, and I see them as my brothers and sisters. I have no desire to have people swear allegiance to me or have them obey me blindly. I desire to see people open their eyes and make contact with their Christ selves so that they can make enlightened decisions on their own. In other words, I have no desire to serve as an overlord and tell people what to believe and how to live their lives.

My point here is that if you use the term Lord the same way it has been used by many Christians over the past 2,000 years, then that truly is an inappropriate use of the word. The appropriate use of the word is to see the term Lord as a spiritual title. As I explain throughout this website, there is indeed a hierarchy of spiritual beings who serve to raise the people of earth to a higher state of consciousness. There are levels and ranks in this hierarchy, yet this should not be seen the same way as rank is perceived on earth.

It is quite simple to see that anytime someone wields outer power, it is because there is fear behind that power. If you have no fear, there is no reason to wield power in an outer sense. In other words, I have no desire to have power over people because I have no fear.

In the spiritual hierarchy, there are many different offices, and some of them can be labeled as Lord, Hierarch or Master. When this is understood as a spiritual title, and not as an earthly title that is based on outer power, it is correct to use the title. So if you have this understanding of the word Lord, then it is acceptable to call me Lord. I do hold an office as Savior, and this can also be called Lord. However, there are several spiritual offices that carry the title of Lord.

For example, as I explained in another discourse, there is a progression of spiritual ages. For each age there is a specific ascended being who becomes the hierarch, or Lord, for that age. I was, and I still am since time is more fluid than perceived by human beings, the Lord of the Age of Pisces. Saint Germain is the hierarch, or Lord, for the Age of Aquarius. Even though the astronomical age of Pisces has come to an end, an age represents a state of consciousness and this state of consciousness is by no means obsolete or outdated. Therefore, I am still Lord of a particular state of consciousness, and it is still appropriate to call me Lord. However, it is also appropriate to call Saint Germain Lord, given that he is the Lord for the present age and the state of consciousness represented by that age.

There is also a spiritual office called the “Lord of the World.” That office is currently held by the ascended being who was incarnated as Gautama Buddha. As cycles move on, I will occupy that office at some time in the future. There is an ongoing process whereby the chain of hierarchy moves on. A particular spiritual being will hold and office until another being is raised up to the level of consciousness where he or she can hold that office. The previous holder will then move on to a higher office, and in this way the entire chain of hierarchy moves forward.

It is important to realize that there are no impenetrable barriers in this spiritual hierarchy. The spiritual hierarchy includes human beings. All human beings have the potential to take up a place in the spiritual hierarchy that they were meant to have from the beginning. In other words, you were created to hold a place in the spiritual hierarchy. It is only because you have temporarily descended to a lower state of consciousness that you cannot currently hold and fulfill that office.

Yet as you climb the spiritual path, you will begin to fill your rightful place in hierarchy and then fill your spiritual office. Indeed, there are some people who are currently in embodiment who actually have the spiritual attainment and do hold a spiritual office. If you refer to my discourse on the levels of spiritual attainment, you will see that as people ascend to the level of being mystics, who are consciously seeking union with God, it is quite appropriate for them to begin to consider what might be their spiritual office. This will allow them to prepare for that office and possibly begin to fill that office while they are still in a physical body.

Let me end by saying that the term Lord should be seen as one office in the spiritual hierarchy but not as the ultimate office. The ultimate office in the chain of hierarchy belongs to the Creator. The term Lord has traditionally referred to a lower-ranking office and not to the ultimate ruler. However, some people have used the term Lord God to refer to the ultimate Lord and the term Lord Christ or Lord Michael to refer to a lower ranking office. My point here is that it is important not to make an idol out of a spiritual being holding the office of Lord.

As my beloved mother explains so beautifully in her discourse, I am not equal to God and I am not God in an ultimate sense. That is why I said, “Why callest thou me good, there is none good but God.” In other words, while it is appropriate to pay respect to the holder of a spiritual office, one should never begin to think that that being is as important as God. No ascended being would ever claim equality with God, although all ascended beings know their infinite worth and value, which is beyond comparison or competition.

Is Jesus frustrated?

Question: Does Jesus experience frustration?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Yes I do, although the feelings of an ascended being are not exactly the same as the feelings of and unascended being. Contrary to the idol that has been built by human beings, I was not without personality and individuality, as I explain elsewhere. If you read the scriptures with an open mind, you will see that I often expressed strong emotions, including frustration. The scriptures record several instances where I was frustrated with my disciples. I upbraided the cities. I challenged the religious authorities, and I was quite distraught in the garden of Gethsemane. My divine individuality is very passionate and compassionate, and as a result of that I experienced strong emotions while I was on earth.

Today, I still experience strong emotions, although as an ascended being my emotions are not self-centered. When you ascend, you overcome the selfishness and self-centeredness that is so characteristic of most people on earth. You will see that most people experience frustration when life doesn’t treat them the way they think they should be treated. In other words, they are frustrated when life doesn’t turn out the way they want it to go. They are frustrated when they can’t get their way. They feel that they have somehow been deprived of something that was their God-given right. It is all about them. For me, it is also all about them.

As an ascended being, I continuously experience situations where things do not go the way I would prefer to see them go. However, this is not in relation to my personal situation; it is in relation to what I would like to see happen to my unascended brothers and sisters.

I would like to see all of you qualify for eternal life, yet you continue to bind yourselves to a mortal sense of identity.

I would like to see all of you experience the abundant life on earth, yet you continue to limit yourselves through dualistic beliefs.

I would like to see all of you be free from your dualistic minds and human limitations, yet you continue to hang on to these imperfect conditions for dear life.

I would like to see all of you get to know my true teachings, as I give them on my website, yet the vast majority of Christians dare not look beyond the doctrines of the orthodox churches.

I would like to see all of you overcome all fear in your approach to religion, yet so many of you are afraid to look beyond the fear-based doctrines of a false church that has no part with me.

I would like to have all of you see me as an example to follow and walk the path to personal Christhood, yet most of you continue to deny the Christ within you.

It is not easy for an ascended being to know what could have been and still have to see all of the suffering, the limitations and the pain that is the daily reality for so many people on earth.

It is not easy to look at people repeat the same mistake over and over again—the same mistakes they have already repeated in many lifetimes.

It is not easy to see people continue to create consequences that lead to suffering, and then turn around and blame God for the fact that they reap what they have sown.

It is not easy to continually reach out a hand and offer people the key of knowledge, only to have people ignore it or deny their own potential.

It is not easy to watch people look everywhere outside themselves for salvation, despite the fact that I told them 2,000 years ago that the kingdom of God is within them.

Yet despite my strong desire to see all of you rise out of suffering, it is not a frustration that is centered on myself. It is a frustration that is centered on you.

How long oh Lord will they continue to waffle in their self-created Hell on earth?

How long before they will dare to believe my words, follow in my footsteps and do the works that I did, so that we can bring God’s kingdom to earth as that kingdom is already manifest above?

How long before they will dare to follow my true teachings instead of following the false teachings of the false pastors that preach in my name?

I can assure you that many of your ascended brothers and sisters experience a sense of frustration over the fact that there is still so much suffering on earth. If you would like to relieve all of us of that frustration, then walk the path of personal Christhood, so that you can be here below all that you are above. Work with your ascended brothers and sisters, so that we together can bring God’s kingdom to earth and end human suffering.

What would Jesus ask?

Question: If Jesus and I swapped places what question would he ask?

I would ask: Jesus, please show me what I need to overcome in my own psychology and what I need to change in my outer situation, so that I can manifest my Christhood as quickly as possible and help you bring God’s kingdom to earth?

The answer, of course, is that you need to walk the path to personal Christhood by using the knowledge and the tools we give on our websites. You can start by giving Archangel Michael Rosary and Mother Mary’s rosaries, or the decrees to the seven rays, making the call for the clearing of all dark forces from your personal life and from the earth. You can also use the tools for inner attunement, and as you continue to build attunement with your Christ self, you will be given the personal instructions you need in order to fulfill the role that your lifestream chose before you came into your present embodiment. You can then gradually learn how to be here below all that you are above.

Jesus on earth in the flesh

Question: Many people still believe that you will come to earth again in the flesh. Others say that your second coming is a metaphor for people attaining the Christ consciousness. Would you please comment on what the second coming actually means?

(NOTE: This answer has two parts. The following text is adapted from the book: “The Christ Is Born in You.” This book has further teachings on the second coming that are not included here. After the excerpts are comments that were given as a specific response to this question.)

I am aware that millions of sincere and devout Christians are looking forward to an event that they describe as the second coming of Christ. There are many different theories and beliefs about this second coming and what it might be like. However, most of them describe an event in which I will appear “in the flesh” and remove all darkness and imperfections from this planet. I will appear as the king, and I will bring God’s kingdom to earth.

I am Jesus Christ, and I must tell you the truth about this matter. I very much desire to see the second coming of Christ as a physical reality on this planet. I very much desire to see my Father’s kingdom manifest on earth. However, I must tell you frankly that the event envisioned by most Christians simply will not come to pass. Allow me to explain why.

Let us begin by considering the historical fact that shortly before the year 1,000 many Christians believed the second coming of Christ was imminent. People believed that I would appear physically and roll up the world as a scroll. It is an undeniable fact that these expectations did not become a reality. Likewise, shortly before the year 2,000 many Christians expected the second coming of Christ as the inauguration of the new millennium. This did not come to pass.

Based on these observations, I hope you will accept the simple fact that I will not suddenly appear and remove all darkness from this world. There are two good reasons why this event will not come to pass.

The outer reason is the law of free will. I have told you elsewhere on this site that humankind has created the current conditions on planet earth. Therefore, these conditions are the solemn responsibility of humankind. People must learn that they are responsible for their use and misuse of God’s energy. Therefore, God will not simply take away from them that which they have created in violation of his laws.

God has provided a way out, so that people can uncreate the darkness they have created in ignorance. However, people must do so consciously and willingly. Planet earth is a schoolroom for the lifestreams of human beings. If God or I were to suddenly remove all imperfections created by human beings, then how could people possibly learn the lesson of life?

When you accept the law of free will, it should not be difficult to see that the second coming of Christ, as envisioned by many Christians, would prevent people from learning the lesson of life. I am a spiritual teacher. I want to see people learn the lesson of life. I will go far in my attempts to help people learn this lesson. However, I will not at take away people’s opportunity to learn that lesson.

Let me now explain the inner reason why the second coming of Christ will not be as envisioned by many Christians. It is the deepest desire of both God and myself to see you and all other human beings walk the path of personal Christhood and eventually put on the fullness of that Christhood. God wants all of his sons and daughters to come home and join the wedding feast in his kingdom. However, you can come home only by putting on the wedding garment of personal Christhood.

The point I am making here is that if I were to appear on earth in some sort of physical manifestation, that appearance would actually make it more difficult for people to put on their personal Christhood. You might remember that I warned people about false appearances related to my second coming. I told you that if people say that the Christ has appeared here or there, you should not go there. Why did I make that statement? Because as long as you think the Christ is appearing somewhere outside of you, you cannot accept that the Christ is appearing inside of you.

What I am saying here is that the second coming of Christ is indeed a real event which I and my Father in heaven are looking forward to. However, the second coming of Christ is not an event whereby the Christ will appear in the form of the individual known as Jesus Christ. The second coming of Christ is an event whereby the universal Christ mind will appear in individualized form through those people who are willing to walk the path of personal Christhood. In other words, the second coming of Christ is an event whereby the Christ appears in you.

This idea of the second coming in you is not blasphemy. It is very much part of God’s plan. When I appeared as the sole representative of the universal Christ, the powers that be quickly killed me. I do not intend to see this happen again. Therefore, I want thousands of people to put on the fullness of their personal Christhood. When that happens, the powers on this planet simply cannot kill all of them (and therefore are likely to kill none). I also want millions of people to put on a high degree of personal Christhood, so that they can bring forth the living word that I am. When that happens, the powers that be simply cannot silence all of them.

Therefore, I am asking you to understand that I do not want the first coming of Christ (my personal embodiment) to become a roadblock that prevents the second coming of Christ (in you).

I am aware that for many Christians the fact about the second coming (as stated here) can seem shocking. However, if you will take the time to review the teachings about how the idea that I am the only son of God came to be official church doctrine, you will gain a different perspective on the second coming (See this question).

I also desire you to understand that I am first and foremost a spiritual teacher. I can assure you that my embodiment in Galilee was not an easy task. I faced many difficulties, and I must tell you that the crucifixion was not the most difficult challenge I faced. The most difficult challenge of all was dealing with the people who had completely closed their minds to the truth that I came to bring.

In the past 2,000 years, I have grown greatly is spiritual attainment. Still, the most difficult task I face is people who have completely closed their minds to my true message. Ironically, many of these people call themselves Christians, and they use interpretations of scripture to deny my true message. My true message is the same today as it was 2,000 years ago. My true message is the message of individual Christhood.

If you try to imagine what it would be like to go through the trials I faced in my embodiment, I think you will realize that it was quite a sacrifice. I made the sacrifice out of love. Because of my love for people, I have absolute respect for their free will. If someone chooses to reject my inner message, then I must bow in respect for that person’s free will.

However, I must also tell you that as a spiritual teacher I would like to see that my sacrifice was not made in vain. I would like to see my mission and my teaching bear fruit. I would like to feel that my coming to earth as a spiritual teacher has been a success.

What is the ultimate success of a spiritual teacher? It is that his students embody his message to such a degree that they do greater works than the teacher himself. The ultimate success of my mission would be that people would accept and live the truth in the statement: “He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works shall he do.”

If no one dares, for whatever reason, to embody this statement, then I have failed as a teacher.

If no one dares to put on their personal Christhood, then my mission has failed. I did not come to earth to turn people into good Christians. I came to earth to see people manifest the fullness of personal Christhood and to walk the earth in that Christhood. I do not want my followers to be simply good Christians. I want my followers to be Christs.

If you love me, keep my commandments.
If you love me, dare to follow in my footsteps.
If you love me, dare to let that mind be in you which was, and is, also in Christ Jesus.
If you love me, accept that when you put on your personal Christhood you can do the works that I did.

My beloved, these ideas are not blasphemy. These ideas are the living truth that I am, the living truth of God that I came to bring to this planet.

At this moment, I do not know if there is going to be a second coming of Christ on planet earth. God does not know if there is going to be a second coming. We do not know this because the second coming is an an event that is outside of our control. It is an event that depends on the free-will choices made by human beings in embodiment.

If there is to be a second coming, then someone must dare to put on personal Christhood. I do not need everyone to put on the fullness of their Christhood. But I do need millions of people to willingly and consciously make a sincere effort to manifest a high degree of Christhood.

If there is to be a second coming, then someone must dare to be the Christ in embodiment. My beloved heart, if you are reading these teachings that someone could be you.

The second coming – in the physical again?

Question: Regarding the second coming, are you returning in the physical again or is the second coming when I and others realize or own Christ Consciousness, therefore becoming Christs and doing what you have done and more?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

I have already given some teachings on this in the answer to another question, but I will give further teachings here.

If you by the expression “returning in the physical” mean that I will descend into a normal physical body, be born of a woman and grow to adult age, then the answer is a clear no. I will not take embodiment again.

I will, however, as I have been doing on a regular basis for the past 2,000 years, continue to appear to people in various ways. In some cases, I do appear in a body that to people seems like a regular physical body. You will note that when I appeared to Thomas and allowed him to feel my wounds that body was, at least to a person in Thomas’ state of consciousness, indistinguishable from a regular physical body.

You are right that the main element of the second coming is that many people will reach personal Christhood. My main message on my website LINK is that I came to be an example for all people to follow. If I am to be successful as a teacher, then people must dare to follow in my footsteps.

Another important consideration is that unless a person has attained some level of personal Christhood, he or she would not be able to recognize me even if I did appear in the physical. You will notice that many orthodox Christians have interpreted the passage “And then if any man shall say to you, lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not.” to mean that any appearance of Jesus Christ is a false appearance. Therefore, such people simply would not be able to recognize me or accept my Presence even if I did appear to them. Many of them would consider such an apparition as the work of the devil.

As I said many times 2,000 years ago, let those who have ears hear, let those who have eyes see. It takes a person with a certain degree of Christhood to recognize the living Christ. When I asked Peter, “Who do you say I am,” he answered “thou art the Christ” and I said that flesh and blood, meaning the lower state of consciousness, the dualistic mind, had not revealed that to him.

Unless you have attained some degree of Christhood, you will not be able to recognize the living Christ even if I appear physically before you. Likewise, you would not be able to recognize the living Christ if he spoke through one of your brothers or sisters. Therefore, blessed are those who recognize the living Christ hiding behind the words on my website.

The truth about original sin

Question: When will the WHOLE TRUTH about Original Sin be revealed to the general public? The traditional teaching is that “original sin” was a test of obedience. (At least that’s what the established organized religions have used to keep the masses behind a wall of fear.)

The whole truth will be revealed to the general public when the general public is ready to hear the whole truth. To fully understand original sin, you must accept the reality of reincarnation because only then can you realize that God has not made you responsible for the choices made by Adam and Eve. Your lifestream made choices that caused it to become separated from God, and therefore it is up to you to make the choices that will bring you back to union with God. No one can do this for you, not God, not the Son of God and not even the devil—although he claims that he can.

To accept the reality of this “do-it-yourself” salvation, lifestreams must be willing to take responsibility for themselves and for their own salvation. This was the essence of the message that I came to bring to this planet, namely that you made the choices that created your present situation and that you can rise above it by making better choices—choices based on the Christ mind.

Because people have free will, I cannot tell you when the general public will be ready to take responsibility for their situation and salvation. If Christianity had not taken a detour into a fear-based approach to religion, it would have happened centuries ago. As it is, it could be a while before the general population is ready to understand the whole truth about original sin.

You are quite right that many churches have used the concept of original sin, combined with a fear-based approach to religion, in order to trap people behind walls of fear. Such walls of fear obviously are not designed to spread the truth that I came to bring to this planet. They are designed to promote the power of a particular church organization and the elite running that organization. As I explained elsewhere, this was never the intent of the ascended masters.

The idea that original sin is a test of obedience is just one among many examples of how the dualistic mind will tie itself into knots in order to make “sense” out of a non-sensical belief. Everything revolves around free will. There was no original sin in the sense that human beings were not created as sinners or created to sin. Yet people sinned by entering the duality consciousness, and this can be said to be the original sin from which all other sins spring.

Once you have entered this self-centered state of consciousness, everything you do will misqualify God’s pure energy, and thus it can be said to be a sin. Many people sin by committing what they are convinced are good deeds. Yet they are done from a dualistic state of mind. Nothing you can do from the dualistic state of mind will get you to heaven.

No guaranteed salvation

Question: Hello Jesus, I have a question about your notion of “salvation,” which you say depends on a person’s ability to achieve Christ-consciousness during his/her life here on earth. What do you mean by “salvation”? If salvation means going to heaven (which I have thought of as just being our home in the Afterlife, a higher dimension) after the death of the physical body, doesn’t everyone have a chance to do this, no matter whether or not they accepted the spiritual world during life? Isn’t everybody saved if they choose God after death? Or, does “salvation” mean the final step of becoming one with God? Is this what heaven truly is, oneness with our Creator?

Also, does our Christ-consciousness develop throughout all of our reincarnations? Meaning, if I was just starting to become aware of the spiritual world in my last lifetime, then I would continue that process in the next lifetime?

There are two main ways to define salvation. If you read my discourse on the levels of spiritual development, you will see that some people are moving away from God and have entered a negative spiral. As I explain elsewhere, the lifestream was not created as an immortal being, and therefore it does not have an infinite amount of time in the material universe. If the lifestream continues to run away from God, its allotted time can eventually run out and the lifestream is then lost, meaning that it is erased in the second death.

When the lifestream does turn around and start the path that leads it back to God, then the lifestream has been saved in the lower sense of the word. If the lifestream is firmly anchored on the spiritual path and is committed to following that path, then it is quite possible that the lifestream will be granted an extension, even if its allotted time should run out. In other words, even if the lifestream has not fully balanced all of its karma before its allotted time runs out, a lifestream who is sincere about the spiritual path will not go through the second death but will be granted an extension.

One might say that when a lifestream makes a firm commitment to the spiritual path, it has been saved from the downward spiral. However, I must caution that many Christians are not correct when they say that by becoming members of a Christian religion and declaring me as their Lord and Savior they have been saved. It is not the outer actions but the inner commitment of the lifestream that counts. Some Christians do indeed have the sincerity and the commitment to growth that anchors them on the path to salvation. Yet others make the mistake of thinking outer actions and outer church affiliation will save them.

The higher meaning of the word salvation is that the lifestream permanently ascends to the spiritual realm. This is the process that I came to demonstrate through my resurrection and ascension. As you are aware, if the lifestream has not balanced its karma and fulfilled its reason for descending into the material universe, it will have to come back into another lifetime. This is the wheel of rebirth that is correctly described by many eastern religions, and this teaching was also part of early Christianity because I taught it to my disciples, as explained elsewhere. When the lifestream balances all karma and fulfills its purpose in the material world, it can permanently ascend to the spiritual realm. At that point, the lifestream becomes immortal and this is the highest meaning of the word salvation.

One might say that the turnaround of a lifestream is a temporary salvation because the lifestream could still decide to go backward on the path. After the lifestream wins its ascension, its salvation becomes permanent and it will no longer have to come back to the material realm (unless it chooses to do so for a specific purpose).

You ask whether salvation means going to heaven in the afterlife, yet as I have just explained a lifestream cannot permanently ascend to heaven until it has transcended the wheel of rebirth. You are, however, correct that many lifestreams do go to a higher realm between embodiments. If you read my discourse on the levels of the material universe, you will see that there are three other levels beyond the material realm. A lifestream can abide in one of these levels between embodiments. However, even in the spiritual realm (what most people call heaven) there are many levels, and some lifestreams do indeed go to some of the lower levels of the heaven world between embodiments. Obviously, this does not mean that the lifestreams can stay there permanently, because a lifestream will still have to descend into a new embodiment in order to win its permanent ascension.

You ask if everyone is saved if they choose God after death, and the answer is that they are not. The deciding factor is not what lifestreams do after death but what they do when they are still alive on this planet. It is here that your lifestream made the karma that jeopardized its salvation, and it is here that the lifestream must balance that karma. It is here that the lifestream made the imperfect choices that jeopardized its salvation, and it is here that the lifestream must make better choices.

This is not to say that the lifestream cannot study and resolve it psychology in between embodiments. Many lifestreams do indeed make spiritual progress between embodiments. Nevertheless, the lifestream cannot simply choose God and be saved. Most lifestreams have built a very complex psychology that springs from countless imperfect choices, and that psychology simply cannot be unraveled through one choice.

Christians are in error when they claim that anyone who declares Jesus Christ to be his or her Lord and Savior will automatically be saved. This simply will not work, and unfortunately the result is that many lifestreams go through a rude awakening when their bodies die and they discover that they are not saved even though they were Christians. This causes some lifestreams to become angry at God, angry at myself or angry at Christianity.

This is one of the main reasons that you see so many people in today’s world who are very negative toward religion and especially toward Christianity. They subconsciously sense that they were cheated by orthodox Christianity in a past life, and they blame me or God instead of realizing that the orthodox Christian doctrines were man-made and where never given by me. Obviously, this is because the lifestreams do not want to take responsibility for themselves, yet these are precisely the kind of lifestreams that are attracted to churches that promise an automatic salvation.

You are correct that Christ consciousness is something that the lifestream develops throughout its many lifetimes—that is, as long as the lifestream has turned around and started the path that leads back to God. If you have a lifetime in which you make spiritual progress, you will come into your next lifetime building upon that progress and any progress you have made in between embodiments. The reverse is also true. If you take steps backward on the spiritual path, your next lifetime will start at that lower level.

You say:

These words warm my heart. It has indeed never been my intention that people would use this website as a substitute for the direct inner communion with me or another member of the ascended masters. One of the main purposes behind this website is to show that it is possible for a human being to attain direct communion with the ascended masters. What one person has done, all people have the potential to do.

Obviously, this does not mean that everyone needs to write books or create websites or even share their communication with anyone else. It does, however, mean that every human being has the potential to attain communion with his or her Christ self and with a member of the ascended masters to whom that lifestream has a particular spiritual bond. Through this communion you can receive profound answers to your questions about spiritual matters and you can receive directions concerning practical matters that will relate to your personal situation and how you can use the challenges you face as a springboard for spiritual growth.

It is indeed my hope that all those who visit our websites and approach them in a sincere manner will sooner or later be raised to the recognition that they too can attain direct communion with us. Prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Mal 3:10 ). The blood of Christ does not take away sin

Question: I am confused!! I feel enlightened and like I am growing closer to my Christ consciousness until I go to church on Sunday with my husband. Then while in church I start having a lot of doubts and confusion about which is true and what is truth. I feel deep down in my spirit, i.e. consciousness that the things on this website and what I have been reading from the books by Kim and after listening to the CD that this is truth, but then when I go to church with my husband and they sing about the blood of Jesus, and there is power in the blood, and what can wash away my sins but the blood, I get so confused. I know that you say that your blood doesn’t wash our sins away, that we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling like your beloved Paul said, but I still feel like a traitor to somebody, either you or to my husband and/or the church.

Please straighten me out with the absolute truth about the blood, and also the Bible says that by your stripes we were healed. Is that true? And what exactly does that mean, too.

I have no desire to straighten you out in the sense that I do not want to tell you what to believe or not believe. Neither do I want to tell you which church to attend or not to attend. Those are choices you must make, and I want you to know that I do not condemn you no matter what choice you make. I love you regardless of your outer beliefs or outer church attendance. I only ask that you strive to make sure that your choices are based on love and not on fear.

In that respect, let me say that what you are going through is a very typical process for those who have been brought up in any orthodox religion, be it Christian or non-Christian. In the book The Secret Coming of Christ, I inspired Kim to write a detailed explanation of the fact that orthodox Christianity has fallen into a fear-based approach to religion. The book also explains that this approach is in direct opposition to the love-based approach taken by me.

What has happened to those who were brought up in or have participated in a fear-based religion is that they have spent many years ingesting a doctrine and a belief system based on fear. If you read Mother Mary’s discourse in which she introduces the East-West Rosary, you will see that she talks about certain spiritual poisons. Although she does not specifically mention fear, one might say that fear is the basic emotion that gives rise to all of the spiritual poisons described by Mother Mary. These poisons are specific manifestations of fear.

My point here is that fear is a spiritual poison. It is the spiritual equivalent of a chemical substance, such as nicotine. Therefore, fear can be as addictive on the spiritual level as nicotine is on the physical level. What I am telling you is that those people who have participated in a fear-based religion for many years have ingested the spiritual poison of fear, and many of them have literally become emotionally addicted to this poison.

You know that when people try to break a chemical addiction, they will go through a period where they have intense cravings for one more cigarette. They have withdrawal symptoms. This is because the body has adjusted to the poison, and it literally feels as if it cannot survive without the poison. Many people become addicted to the poison of fear that they have been fed through an orthodox, fear-based religion, and their emotions make them feel like they cannot survive, they cannot be saved, without the poison. You feel like you are incomplete and unwhole without the poison, and this also makes you feel that you are betraying your church when you seek to escape the magnetic pull of the poison of fear.

I realize this is a somewhat ominous picture. Yet I must tell you truly that many Christian churches have become so enveloped in fear that the people attending those churches are literally being attacked and in many cases controlled by demons of fear. Breaking free of such a church can be as difficult as breaking a chemical addiction. Therefore, it would be helpful for you to approach the situation as if you were trying to break free from an addiction. Determine whether you really want to break free from this and then plan a systematic course for moving away from a fear-based approach to religion. See my answer to a question about breaking an addiction.

It is quite possible that you can break away from the fear-based approach to religion and still go to church with your husband on Sunday. Nevertheless, this might be more difficult than staying away from the environment for a time, until you feel that you are anchored in a love-based approach to religion. When you are anchored in the love-based approach, you can go to any church without absorbing the vibration of fear that is being generated by that Church. Nevertheless, one might ask why you would want to be in such an environment? Yet that is a choice that you must make personally.

The absolute truth about the blood of Christ is that when I talked about the blood at the last supper, I was speaking metaphorically. The blood of Christ is a symbol for the stream of consciousness of the universal Christ mind.

On a personal, physical level, the blood is in subtle ways the carrier of consciousness. Therefore, by symbolically drinking the blood of Christ, you are absorbing my personal Christ consciousness and the consciousness of the universal Christ mind. This then becomes the spiritual leaven which can raise the whole loaf of your consciousness.

So yes, it is true that the blood of Christ, when it is understood as the consciousness of the universal Christ mind, is the key to salvation in the sense that it can wash away your sins. However, it also needs to be understood that the essence of sin is the lower state of consciousness that I talk about throughout my website. The blood of Christ can wash away your sins in the sense that it can transform your consciousness. This is seen by the fact that love and fear are incompatible emotions. When you allow yourself to fall into a state of fear, you cannot simultaneously feel love. When you accept the unconditional love of God, it will be the perfect love that casts out all your fears. Likewise, the blood, meaning the consciousness, of the universal Christ will wash away the sins of the dualistic mind.

What the blood of Christ will not do is wash away the effects of your actions, namely misqualified energy and personal karma. These must be resolved through your own efforts, and that is why you need to work out your salvation by being willing to make amends for your past actions and by transforming the negative energy produced by your fear-based thoughts and feelings.

One of the biggest problems or shortcomings in Christianity is that so many Christians have misunderstood the true meaning of the blood of Christ. Therefore, the concept of the blood of Christ has been mixed in with the old idea that blood sacrifice was necessary in order to appease God. You will see that in the Jewish religion sacrifices were seen as one of the main ways to wash away people’s sins. This idea goes all the way back to primitive religions who performed human sacrifices. It was moderated to become animal sacrifices, yet Christianity has created the idea that it was necessary with the ultimate human sacrifice, namely that of myself on the cross.

This is a fallacy. I understand that this started with certain remarks made by Paul, but they were given in order to get the Jews to give up the idea of animal sacrifice. Thus, the idea of sacrifice as payment for sins should have no place in a modern enlightened and love-based religion, which is what Christianity truly should be.

When I performed the ritual of the last supper, I had my disciples drink of a cup, which contained wine as a symbol of the blood of Christ. There was no way I would have had them drink my actual blood. We are talking symbolically, and my disciples understood that. If I had had the ability to anticipate how the human mind would misinterpret this idea and mix it in with the idea of blood sacrifice, I truly would have changed the ritual. Yet even I cannot predict how people will use or rather misuse their free will,

At the last supper, the blood of Christ, meaning my consciousness, was not poured out indiscriminately. It was contained in a cup and given only to those who were ready to receive it. This is an important principle. The blood of Christ, the consciousness of Christ, should not be given to the profane. It should not be given to the evil spirits of hell who will truly misuse that blood, that light, to commit evil deeds. So you now see that the consciousness of Christ can be misused if it is given to the profane. That is why I told my disciples not the cast their pearls before swine.

What has happened in Christianity is that the Jewish idea of blood sacrifice has been mixed in with the fact that my blood was spilled at the crucifixion. The problem of the misunderstanding of the blood of Christ begins with a mixture of the last supper and the spilling of my blood on the cross. What I did at the last supper was fundamentally different than what happened at the crucifixion.

At the last supper, my actual blood was not spilled. It was represented by the wine, yet even the wine was not poured on the ground. It was contained in a chalice, and as I have just explained in another discourse, that chalice is a whole mind and lifestream, which is able to hold the consciousness of the Christ mind.

At my crucifixion, my physical blood was spilled. Even though some of it was gathered by Joseph, much of it was spilled on the ground. Because blood is the carrier of consciousness, some of my personal Christ consciousness was actually spilled on the ground. That blood was like the pearls cast before swine, and the light in that blood was devoured by demons out of hell. These demons used that light to increase their control over human beings and to empower the people who crucified me. Therefore, the blood spilled at my crucifixion was actually used by dark forces to reinforce the persecution of Christians in an attempt to completely destroy my work on this planet and prevent the spread of Christianity as a new religion.

Let me make an absolutely clear statement here. The idea of blood sacrifice, whether it be of humans or of animals, never originated with God or with the ascended masters. Let me say that again. No being in heaven ever advocated blood sacrifice as a part of salvation or spiritual growth. Blood sacrifice has absolutely no positive effect on your spiritual growth.

Now, if the idea of blood sacrifice did not come from God, from where do you think it might have come? It came precisely from those who oppose God, namely the devil himself. You will see that even today certain satanic cults perform blood sacrifices, even human sacrifices. The reason is that when you spill the blood of the innocents, their consciousness, their spiritual light, is released through a violent action, and therefore it becomes available to dark forces who cannot absorb that light directly from Above.

Let me state clearly that any ritual that involves the spilling of blood is of satanic origin. The performance of blood sacrifice, even the blood sacrifice that was performed in the Jewish temple, was a satanic rite. That is one reason I overturned the tables of the money changers who were making money by selling the ingredients for satanic rites performed in the temple of God. The thieves were not just humans taking people’s money but also demons taking the light released in the rituals.

I must tell you that blood sacrifice does not necessarily take the form of a religious ritual. Any type of murder is a form of blood sacrifice, and it is often demons that trick people into murdering another person in order to steal that person’s life blood and spiritual light. This is also the reason dark forces are constantly seeking to entice people to go to war with one another and thereby spill the blood of the innocents on the battlefield.

Have I made my point here? The idea of blood sacrifice has no place whatsoever in the Christian religion. My crucifixion was not a blood sacrifice. My death on the cross was not necessary to wash away humankind’s sins, and my crucifixion truly did not have the effect of taking away human sins. This is a fallacy, and it was a fallacy from the very beginning. No truly Christian church should ever celebrate the spilling of my blood at the crucifixion, even if it happens through the seemingly innocent means of a song. Incidentally, that is why the movie The Passion causes people to lose their spiritual light by forcing them to focus on the spilling of my blood on the cross.

It is perfectly in order for Christian churches to celebrate the ritual of the last supper, the ritual of Holy Communion, but it should be understood that the blood of Christ is a symbol for the consciousness of the universal Christ mind. If you celebrate Holy Communion thinking that you are drinking my physical blood that was spilled at the crucifixion, you have misunderstood this ritual, and you are potentially misqualifying light and giving it to dark forces.

The concept that people were healed by my stripes is a figure of speech based on a misunderstanding of my true mission, a misunderstanding based on the idea that some kind of sacrifice is necessary for the remission of sins.

Yet there is a subtle truth here in the sense that when you make personal karma, you can balance some of that karma by experiencing what you did to another. In other words, if you kill another human being, you have violated God’s law. To make spiritual progress, you must learn the lesson that this was a violation of God’s law, and you must choose to abandon the consciousness that caused you to sin. It is quite possible that a lifestream can learn that lesson without having to be murdered. If it does so, it can balance the karma through spiritual means, such as the Violet Flame or service. In other words, God has no desire to punish you; God simply wants you to learn your lesson, balance the karma and rise to a higher state of consciousness.

Yet if a lifestream refuses to learn its lesson, then the karmic law will mandate that the person experiences what it has done to others. If you have killed another human being, you might need to be killed yourself in order to learn the lesson of how killing someone takes away their opportunity for spiritual growth in that lifetime. Going through this process can help balance some of the karma you incurred. This then is the idea which has been misunderstood by many, especially in the West, and which has been mixed in with the idea of blood sacrifice. This is what has led to the idea that blood sacrifice can compensate for your sins and wash away those sins.

The fallacy of this idea is that the blood sacrifice itself will not wash away your sins. Being killed as a result of having killed someone else will not automatically balance that karma. Only when you truly learn the spiritual lesson and abandon the consciousness that caused you to sin, will the karma be fully balanced. And if your lifestream hates the person who killed you, you might actually make more karma and start a negative karmic spiral.

Once again, this is a subtle illusion created and promoted by dark forces. They know that many people have a lifestream memory that when they have committed a wrong act, they need to compensate for that act. By creating the idea of blood sacrifice, the dark forces have managed to fool people into thinking that the sacrifice itself will compensate for the past sins. Thereby, many people have been fooled into giving light and life blood to the dark forces.

This especially occurs when a person believes in seeking revenge for crimes committed against him. This is what has caused feuds between families or nations, where people believe that if an enemy has killed a member of your family, you need to wash away that act by killing a member of the other family. This is a fallacy, and you have heard the saying that two wrongs do not make a right. Killing someone in revenge will not wash away the sin of the first murder. It will only double that sin. That is why I told people to forgive their enemies and to do so seventy times seven.

Jesus and the sins of the world

Question: What does it really mean that Jesus has taken upon himself the sins of the world?

The question of vicarious atonement has caused much confusion among Christians. I desire to set the record straight.

The only way to fully understand this concept is to understand the law of cause and effect, including the concepts of reincarnation and karma (see this answer). When the universe returns your karma to you, you will be burdened by that karma. Returning karma can manifest in many different ways, but all of these ways will be a burden to you. Your karma will often limit your ability to walk the spiritual path and raise your consciousness above the level of the dualistic mind.

When I came to earth 2,000 years ago, humankind was severely burdened by returning karma created in past ages. It became clear to me that people would have little chance of following my true teachings while they were so burdened by this karma. Therefore, I petitioned my Father in heaven to be allowed to bear humankind’s returning karma for the next 2,000 years. I was granted that petition, and therefore I have carried the burden of humankind’s karma for the past 2,000 years.

Bearing the burden of someone’s karma is not the same as permanently removing that karma. Therefore, it is not true to say that Jesus Christ has taken upon himself the sins, or the karma, of the world. I have given people a temporary reprieve from the burden of their karma. I have not given them a permanent escape from that karma.

When you consider the idea of vicarious atonement, as it is preached by some Christian churches, it is not difficult to see that there are certain aspects of this idea that simply do not make sense. First of all, we have the idea that I have taken upon myself not only the sins that were committed up until my embodiment as Jesus, but also all of the sins that could possibly be committed after that time.

How could I possibly take on sins that have not yet been committed? Because I am not caught up in the dualistic mind, I completely fail to see how anyone can make any sense out of such an idea. This would be giving humankind a blank check and allowing them to do whatever they wanted without ever having to face the consequences. How could people possibly learn from this?

I am a spiritual teacher. I desire to help human beings learn their lessons and to learn them as quickly as possible. However, the very essence of being a teacher is that you cannot learn someone’s lessons for them. It simply isn’t enough that I learn that human actions have consequences. You must learn that lesson for yourself, or the lesson will have no impact on your life.

The Law and the prophets

Question: What does it mean that Jesus came to fulfill the Law and the prophets?

I would like to explain the true meaning behind the statement that I came to fulfill the law and the prophets. I am aware that some Christians have used this statement to reason that the fulfillment of the tradition of the prophets, meaning the delivery of the word of God through an individual human being, came to an end with my ministry. I can understand why people would draw this conclusion, and I do not condemn anyone for believing this idea. Yet, I must tell you that the idea is incorrect.

When I referred to “the Law and the Prophets,” I referred to a specific period, a specific spiritual cycle, in earth’s history. That spiritual cycle began with the exodus from Egypt.

The spiritual teaching that served as a guiding rod for this cycle was the law of Moses. This law was given with the hope that by applying the law people would raise their consciousness. At the end of the spiritual cycle, people would be ready to receive a higher law. Therefore, the fulfillment of the cycle that I referred to as the law and the prophets was the bringing forth of the higher law that I did indeed bring forth in the Sermon on the Mount and other teachings. In other words, by fulfilling the law and the prophets, I initiated the next 2,000 year cycle. This did not mean that I came to bring an end to the delivery of the living word of God.

The delivery of the living word of God has been happening for as long as there have been people on this planet. As long as people are willing to raise their consciousness so that they can be the open door for the delivery of that word, the delivery of the living word of God will continue indefinitely. I had no intention whatsoever of putting a stop to the delivery of the living word. I think the proof should be the very fact that I continued to appear to my disciples after my resurrection.

I hope these words will not fall on deaf ears and that my followers, those who claim to be Christians, will open their minds and hearts to the living word of God as it is being delivered today and will be delivered in the future.

As I said to Saul on the road to Damascus, I now say to you: “Stop kicking against the pricks.”

The view of Jesus presented by Edgar Cayce

From Cayce’s perspective, Jesus is the Elder brother for all of humankind, deeply committed to assisting all lifestreams in reawakening to the awareness of their oneness with God. This Jesus is not interested in religious conversion, denominationalism, or even mighty personal accomplishments. Instead, He is simply interested in how we treat one another. With this in mind, even in the midst of our diversity as a human family, we share a common spiritual heritage. We are all Children of the same God. We are all part of the one spiritual Source. And, we are all destined to return to our Creator, our Mother/Father, our God.

There is much of value in the teachings of Edgar Cayce, and it is notable that he started out as a traditional Christian, yet was willing to open his mind to a higher understanding—an understanding that he received through a process that is an example of direct revelation.

I wish all Christians would go through the process of abandoning their existing beliefs and opening their minds to a higher understanding, as I talk more about in an important discourse. And truly, the life and teachings of Edgar Cayce can help people go through that process, as they have already done for many.

I would like to add to the quote you give that I am not “simply interested in how we treat one another.” My interests go beyond how people treat each other, as you will see from my website. Also, the goal is not only the return to God but to become co-creators with God.

Finally, I am not actually doing any work. I am simply being who I am, because I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. A sun is not working when it shines; it is simply being what it is!
