Question: Saint Germain, is there an opportunity to anchor the focus of the Flame of Freedom in Russia? What does that require?
Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Of course there is an opportunity to anchor the flame of freedom in Russia as there is in every nation but it is not an opportunity that is immediately likely to come about because it would actually take many different shifts in the consciousness of Russia.
You could say from a certain perspective that there would have to be more ascended master students giving invocations and decrees whether they are from this dispensation or another but this in itself will not do it. You could say there has to be more people embodied in Russia who reached a certain level of Christhood but this in itself will not do it. You could also say there needs to be the judgement of certain fallen beings who are embodied in Russia so they are no longer there but this in itself will not do it.
The really main requirement would be that there has to be a series of shifts in the collective consciousness, in the 80% of the general population in Russia. We have in our dictations that we have given in Russia over the years talked about some of these shifts. But there are other shifts and the main thing really would be that a certain critical mass of people in the general population of Russia would have to acquire some kind of attunement to the Flame of Freedom that they would have to realize that there is something called freedom and that it is valuable to have it.
The reality is that the majority of the people embodying in Russia have very little awareness, very little attunement with the Flame of Freedom. They don’t even see it as valuable. They certainly don’t see it, as you find people in America who would say “Give me liberty or give me death!” Now as I have said, I’m not necessarily encouraging that stand but nevertheless in Russia you don’t find enough people who see freedom as a right or as a goal that they want to attain. They are more focused on getting other things out of life, such as a comfortable material life or feeling secure or overcoming fear, having a society where they don’t need to be afraid of the authorities, which in a sense is also freedom.
It is just that they don’t see it as freedom. They see it in a negative way; that they want to get away from fear. They don’t see the positive; that they want to experience freedom. There is a very distinct difference between wanting to get away from something bad and wanting to get into something positive.
So it is indeed possible but I foresee that it will take some time before there will be even any purpose in anchoring the Flame of Freedom in Russia because what’s the purpose of anchoring a Flame? It is to help people tune into it but if there aren’t enough people who are willing to even tune into it then they don’t need to have an anchor for the Flame of Freedom there.

Question: Are there any indicators or signs of what level of consciousness we are at?

It is of course possible my beloved to set up many different indicators but a very simple one would be the degree of selfishness, the degree of self-centeredness that people have. Another indicator is that when you go towards Christhood and especially the higher levels of Christhood, your mind does become more and more neutral, more and more at peace.
You have less and less compulsions to do something in the world because you have less and less separate selves that are compelling you to do something or to react in certain ways. So you react less and less to conditions in the world. They do not disturb you, they do not define you. This doesn’t mean that you’re not doing things but you’re doing it from a state of mind of being at peace, being what we have called non-attached, being neutral instead of this compulsion that you have to do something about this. So these are good indicators to keep in mind.
You could come up with other indicators. Obviously you could set up an entire system but we just feel that this very easily gets people into a very intellectual and analytical frame of mind. It very easily gets them into a comparative frame of mind where they start comparing themselves to others or comparing themselves to each other, start setting up these cliques of people who feel they have reached a certain level as we have seen in previous ascended master organizations. We do not really feel like encouraging this.
Basically don’t worry about where other people are at in consciousness. Be concerned about yourself but as this messenger has said, there really comes a point where you go beyond the need to even consider where you are at, to even compare yourself to anything. You are just focused on expressing yourself at the level you are at and then moving towards higher levels and you’re not really concerned about putting a number on this or any other evaluation. In a sense you could say that’s when you know you’re at the higher levels because then you are more free to just be who you are and enjoy being in embodiment.

Question: Once you have ascended, do you still have free will or is free will connected to the ego?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Once you have ascended you TRULY have free will. Free will can never be connected to the ego because the egos will can never be free. Your will can never be free when it is colored by the ego.
This is of course where some fallen beings have come in with their reasoning that it is only by rebelling against God’s will that you gain truly free will. But this is a misunderstanding of the reality of free will because the very fact that you can rebel against what you think is God’s will, should demonstrate that you have a free will. Because, if God’s will was not setting you free then the moment you rebelled against God’s will, you should be obliterated.
The fact that the fallen beings can rebel against what they think is God’s will and not be obliterated should demonstrate that they DO have free will. Of course, the creator is not even seeing the fallen beings and is not seeing them rebelling against its will. The fallen beings are rebelling against the will of a god that is their own creation – again, a figment of their imagination.
It is important to understand that when you ascend, your will is free but it is not exercised as a separate being. You see yourself as a being who is one with all life. Therefore you are of course making choices within the context of that oneness so you’re not harming any part of life, including yourself, with your choices. This does not mean that your will is less free. It actually means that as you make choices in the ascended state, you are not creating consequences for yourself, karma that limit your options. Therefore, for each choice you make, you become more aware of oneness and therefore, your will becomes increasingly free.
Once you step into separation and start making choices from a separate self, your every choice will have a consequence that limits your options and therefore your will becomes less and less free. It is not so that your will is restricted in the ascended realm. It is simply that you have given up exercising your free will based on the illusion of separation and you are now making choices based on the reality of oneness. But this is a free choice you make and therefore it does not restrict your free will. You are simply deciding there are certain types of choices that I no longer want to make and that choice is actually entirely free. Once you are in separation, you are not making entirely free choices but once you step out of it again, your will becomes completely free.

Question: Do antidepressants affect the four lower bodies in a similar way to alcohol and other drugs? Do they lower the ability to have control over your mind?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
There are certainly some similarities but the field of antidepressants is of course quite vast and there are new antidepressants coming into use all of the time. You might say that there are different types of alcohol but they still have the same basic ingredient, namely alcohol, that affects the mind. The antidepressants is a much more varied field.
They do of course affect your four lower bodies so you don’t have the same degree of control over them. In a sense, you could say, that that is the outer purpose that people have because people take the antidepressants when they feel that they have a pain or a chaos, a stress in their emotional body, for example, that they cannot consciously stop. So, in a sense, they feel they have lost control over their emotional body, for example and they take the antidepressant in order to numb the emotional body to where they no longer feel they’re out of control but this of course doesn’t help you gain control over the emotional body, it just numbs it so that the problem isn’t as severe, it doesn’t solve the problem.
Now, there are of course psycho-pharmic drugs on the market that are beyond just antidepressants but have other uses. Some of these drugs are not so far away from what you call psychedelic drugs, in the sense that they can have a very severe negative impact on the mind in various ways.
Although, in the current situation, you could say that there’s a practical necessity to use some of these drugs for severe illnesses, it’s clear that in the long run, this is a very, very primitive approach to mental illness. It’s clear that there are much better approaches, some have even already been brought into the physical but others could be brought into the physical. It’s clear that, there are some mental illnesses where, as some people have even experienced, that the only real solution is spiritual protection. To protect yourself from dark forces that are constantly invading your mind.
Again, the psycho-pharmic drugs cannot stop the dark forces but they can numb your mind, so you are not so disturbed by it. In coming decades, there will be a much broader awareness about this. There will be a willingness to experiment even with the techniques you have today, decrees and invocations, because there will come a point where there will be therapists who will simply say: We have people who are suffering; we need to experiment to find something that works. It doesn’t matter what we think about it, whether we believe in it or not. The only matter is, does it help people? And if it does, then we can use it.
Regardless of whether we understand how it works or not, regardless of whether we agree with any philosophy behind it. If it works, we can use it. That is, of course, the hallmark of a true scientist. That is why you can see that some of the people who are focused on developing the drugs are not really true scientists. They are working for companies that are only concerned about making a profit, regardless of the effect this has on people. Behind this is, of course, the fallen beings who are seeking to develop drugs that can abort people’s Christhood, that can prevent people from reaching a certain state of Christhood, by numbing their minds.
There are fallen beings who would gladly have all human beings on Earth take antidepressants that were numbing their minds as you have already seen in some cases, for example, in America, where an entire town has been on Prozac or where an entire town has been given opiates that have caused various kinds of addictions. Clearly when you see this, you can recognize the footsteps of the fallen beings who have taken over the minds of seemingly well-meaning human beings and caused them to do these acts that truly can only be labeled as insane.

Question: I once saw a movie that gave the perspective that when a woman has a miscarriage it is not up to a person who is carrying the child whether the child will be born or not, if the soul of the child is not willing to incarnate to this world it can abort its physical process in the mother’s womb. Can the ascended masters comment on this topic? Is the miscarriage a result of the mother’s choice or is there more to know and how this relates to free will?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
A miscarriage can be caused by many factors. There can of course be a physical reason for this in the mother’s body, in the genes of the child, in the development of the child. It is possible for a mother to, especially if you have become pregnant and it was not a planned pregnancy, to actually cause a miscarriage by not wanting to have the child. Not necessary not wanting to have that specific child but not wanting to have a child or not wanting to have a child at that moment. So it is possible that the mothers choice can cause a miscarriage, this can even be subconscious where the mother isn’t willing to recognize her feelings about this, about being pregnant.
It is of course also possible that the child can choose that it does not want to be born after all. This can happen to some when they feel the density of the physical octave. It can happen when they feel the mother’s energy field, if they have for example, severe karma from past lives and an ongoing conflict with the mother. Once they come down into the foetus and sense the mother’s energy field they can decide they do not want to deal with this. Therefore they do not want to be born.
There can be other reasons as well where the child might feel the density of the physical octave or it might come to an awareness of certain difficulties it will face in the coming lifetime and it refuses to deal with it.
We have so far given you a somewhat idyllic picture of your divine plan where we have given a teaching on the divine plan for people who are spiritual and who are therefore willing to take responsibility for themselves and change themselves. For such spiritual people, it is so that you are willing to fulfil your divine plan even if it involves certain difficult situations because you realize this leads to growth and it also leads to what we have called the more creative phase of your divine plan. You are willing to go through that work phase of your divine plan in order to get to the creative phase.
But there are souls that are not as evolved as this. Where the main focus on their divine plan could be to balance karma and therefore they need to be together with certain people with whom they have karma from past lives in order to, so to speak, force themselves to deal with it. But there can be instances where these souls are not evolved enough that they are willing to stand by that decision once they start coming closer to embodiment and feeling the density of the physical octave. So a soul can make its divine plan from a higher level of conscious and it decides “yes I’m willing to face these difficulties and work through it” and then when it is actually faced with coming into the body, sensing the energies then it can decide, no I’m not willing to do this after all.
This is where again, free will in some cases need to be respected. You could say that free will in all cases need to be respected, so if the soul really decides I do not want to be born then that is respected. But there are of course cases where you could say that the soul has a lower will that it doesn’t want to deal with the difficulty but at the same time it has a higher will that says “I will do this” so the higher will overrides the lower.
I know this may seem somewhat obscure but it actually is so, that free will is the ultimate measure but the question of what is free will is where you can have certain concerns where you can say that when a soul experiences the density of the physical octave, it’s will isn’t free and therefore it doesn’t override what it planned in its divine plan. Many souls have decided to override that lower will, that outer personality, in order to force themselves to come into embodiment and deal with certain difficulties because they know it will lead to growth in the long run.

Question: Is the worst thing I can imagine now necessarily my original birth trauma?

No, not necessarily. Certainly it could be but the question would be what you mean with imagination? Is this something you’re imagining as a product of the mind that is created in the mind or are you tuning in to an actual memory from a past life?
If you are just imagining it, it can come from many different sources, including the fallen beings who are projecting something at you in order to scare you or in other ways get you to react. If you’re tuning in to an actual memory then your birth trauma would be the worst experience you could possibly tune into. The question would be, are you actually able to tune into it now or whether there are other traumas from your past that you need to erase before you are able to see that first trauma.
There can also be people who are simply not willing to go so deeply into their psychology. There can be people who have even followed the spiritual path for a while and have decided that they must have reached a certain level where they should be beyond having to look at anything in their own psychology or certainly anything very traumatic. In order to maintain that image of being advanced students or perhaps even teachers, they will deny the validity of the teachings on the birth trauma and refuse to look at it.

Question: Will the masters say more about why there is value in experiencing the self in separation? How does that help a being learn to be in oneness? How can that possibly help raise the whole?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
We have basically answered this question in our dictations during the conference where we said that it is necessary in an unascended sphere that some beings explore whatever can be done with free will. One of the things that can be done with free will is that you can express your free will as a separate being rather than a being who is connected to the greater whole.
This does not necessarily help raise the collective awareness on a planet like Earth, that people go into separation but when these experiences are processed by the I AM Presence and become part of the causal body then it can help an entire evolution of lifestreams realize what works and what doesn’t work, what they want to experience and what they don’t want to experience.
All of you who have children will know that children could not grow to become adults by being taught theoretically how to behave as a human being. You can tell your children that the stove is hot but if they don’t have an experience of what it means that something is hot, they are not going to believe you and they wouldn’t grow from doing it. So what we have explained is that growth, the progression, the raising of the consciousness has two aspects.
One is that you understand more and more and this is where we as the ascended masters can give you teachings that increase your understanding. The omega aspect is that you have to have a certain amount of experiences in order to grow. You have to experience what works and what doesn’t work and you can only have this by having an experience. That is why there is also value in going into separation and exploring what can happen.
That is also why we say that whatever happens on earth is like building a sand castle, no matter what terrible events from a certain perspective or what terrible events have happened on Earth, it can all be erased and the energy can be returned to its purer state. Nevertheless, people will have had certain experiences of what doesn’t work and those experiences are stored in the causal body and therefore become positive experiences that help the growth of the collective and the individual.
Now of course you can look at Earth and say how many times do you have to experience war to find out that this doesn’t work for you? And this is of course, is a questions to which there is no answer. It’s a rhetorical question.
Some people apparently have to experience it many, many times but this is again the outcome of free will where you have to say some life-streams need to experience this more times than others and how can you really judge what an individual life-stream should or shouldn’t experience. If you judge this then you are going into the fallen mindset where you think you know better than other people, what they should experience and how they should experience life. As ascended masters we are not in that business.

Question: Why are there ice ages on the Earth? And what are souls doing during this time when they can’t incarnate here?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
The ice ages are basically a way to erase the traces of a previous civilization. In some cases there have been previous civilizations who engaged in nuclear war and the only way to really erase the nuclear pollution in a relatively short time span is that the ice has this effect. It can to some degree absorb the radiation. It can also break down rocks into their smaller components so that they can more easily release the radiation.
It is not just a matter of nuclear radiation it can also be the energetic records that can even be stored in physical matter to some degree. It can also be a matter of giving a certain portion of land a certain time to, what we might call rest; where it can be freed of these records so that when it becomes habitable again, people can start without having the same energetic records that they had before. This means that a society or humankind as a whole can be given a clean white slate and start a new track instead of being so burdened or condemned by the past records to continue that track.
There are people in the world who have said that reincarnation can’t be a reality because 500 years ago there were far fewer people in embodiment, so where were all these souls? This is not really an argument against reincarnation because the reality is that, first of all, some souls can go to the astral plane, the emotional realm, some go to the mental realm, some go to the identity realm of Earth.
There are many souls that embody on other planets. It is not so that an unnatural planet is entirely isolated. There are usually two or three planets that are somewhat linked together even though they might be separated by great distances in the physical octave, so that souls from one planet can incarnate on another. This gives these souls an opportunity to grow before the planet becomes able to support greater numbers, a greater population.
It is of course very individual where souls go. It depends on their past history and their individual psychology and it’s a rather complex task for the Karmic Board to decide what to do in these situations. That’s why we very much prefer to avoid these cataclysmic events where an entire civilization breaks down and the population of a planet is reduced drastically in a short time span. We do everything we can to avoid it but obviously it cannot always be avoided due to the mechanics of free will and the absoluteness of free will.

Question: Would the masters please comment on the Do Not Resuscitate form, also known as a living will or Advanced Medical Directive, required by hospitals. What are the spiritual outcomes with requesting in advance that medical staff pull the plug on patients who are in a vegetative state?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Well, in a certain sense the hospitals are doing this to avoid lawsuits and protect themselves but they’re also doing it for other practical reasons such as cutting costs so they are not forced to keep patients alive.
From a spiritual perspective, it is actually simply one step in the evolution of society that you require people to become more conscious of the different possibilities that can happen. It is partly a consequence of the fact that medical technology has advanced to a point where it is possible to keep the body alive beyond what we might call the natural lifespan, if there is such a thing as a natural lifespan.
There are indeed cases where the soul has withdrawn from the body because the soul knew it was time to move on but doctors have used medical technology to keep the body artificially alive. If you keep the body artificially alive, it is very difficult for the soul to completely let go of the body. This can, for some people, mean that they cannot move into the light, they cannot move on in their normal cycles. They can in extreme cases end up becoming discarnate souls as a result of their bodies being kept artificially alive.
Now of course, there is nothing that can be said about this topic that can be applied to all people. There have of course been people who have been in a coma even for years and have woken up. There have been people who have reached a certain level of spiritual attainment where even though they were in a coma they could still hold a spiritual balance for the Earth because having a physical body in a coma still gave them an anchor point in the physical octave.
It is, as with many questions that come up in society, not possible to give a black-and-white answer and say this is the way it always is. It is perfectly in keeping with the raising of awareness that people begin to deal with these more complicated ethical and moral questions that previous generations didn’t face because the technology wasn’t there. Ultimately the only outcome of this is that people increase their intuition, their attunement, their Christ discernment so that they can decide.
This applies to the families who might have to decide for a person who was in a coma but it also applies of course to the people who before they are admitted to a hospital are asked to sign one of these forms. It requires them to have some kind of attunement and tune in.
I’m perfectly aware that at this point many of the people who are forced to sign such a release form do not have that attunement. Nevertheless you have to start somewhere to create a new track in the collective consciousness that can then help people gradually begin to have a debate about this, gradually begin to raise awareness so that people can think this through before they are standing there or lying there being admitted to the hospital; so they know how to deal with this or at least have had some time to decide what they are going to do individually.

Question: Why have the ascended masters stopped releasing rosaries and are now only releasing invocations?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
The reason that I started out using the term “rosaries” was that it was a terminology that many Christians were familiar with, especially many Catholics and also many ascended master students from previous organizations, so I decided to use that terminology. But there came a point where I decided that now it was time to appeal to a larger, a broader audience that was not so familiar with Christian terminology and therefore I used a more neutral term “invocations”.
Essentially, they do the same thing but I will say that obviously we again are going through a progressive phase where the invocations become more and more profound in terms of dealing with psychological topics. And also, in a certain sense become more powerful with these latest formats where we use the decrees that have 9 verses to a particular master and therefore can give these sections of 9 either four times or even more times in a single invocation.

Question: I feel that the dictations released by the masters in the last few years have changed. For example, they are focused on specific topics like addressing avatars only. They have become less inspiring and more specific to certain topics. Is it my perception filter or have the masters changed their approach?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
It is both, my beloved. We have changed our approach in the sense that we have decided to release these teachings specifically for avatars. It is obvious that there will be some previous students who feel that this doesn’t apply to them, either because they are not avatars or because they are not ready to deal with something as serious as the birth trauma.
There are people who are rejecting the “My Lives” book simply because they are not willing and not ready to go so deep into their psychology. They are afraid that they would be overwhelmed by the birth trauma. This is, of course why we have given all of these very gradual and very safe tools, so you can deal with the birth trauma without being overwhelmed by it. But if people do not believe this, then they can have as their only option is, to deny the validity of the book in order to justify to themselves why they don’t need to deal with the trauma.
If you are one of the original inhabitants of the earth you might very well feel that these teachings are not for you. But as we have also said, even the original inhabitants of the earth face the same problem. You have been exposed to the fallen beings, you have as a result of that, created certain separate selves and the process of getting rid of the separate self is the same for an avatar as for a dweller on earth. So really, the teachings doapply to all.
It’s clear that in a sense we have changed our approach because the main characteristic of the “My Lives” book is that previously we have attempted to adapt our teachings to specific groups of people that we deemed were ready for a particular teaching or a particular approach. With the “My Lives” book it is so to speak “throwing all caution to the wind”, as the popular saying goes. So we are saying, here we need to state a truth in a very straightforward, very fact-of-the-matter manner and then let people react to it as they want. This book is meant for such a large variety of people that you cannot be sensitive to individual groups. So we have to take a calculated risk that some will not be willing to make that shift.
In a sense you could say that we have decided to simply go to a higher level where we give a teaching that requires people to have attained a certain openness, a certain willingness to look at themselves. If you are not willing to look at yourself you might find it difficult to deal with these teachings. You might find them, as the question said “less inspiring” but you also need to consider that there comes these points in the process of progressive revelation where we have reached a certain plateau. We have given teachings for people who are at a lower level of consciousness anda certain level. We have given enough teachings that people can transcend that level and there really isn’t any point in continuing to give more and more detail because there’s already enough teaching that people can do what they need to do to transcend that level. They have what they need.
So then the question is: “do we then stop progressive revelation? Do we continue to give teachings for that level, giving more and more details?” Or do we simply say “now we have a messenger who is able to stretch his mind and step up to a higher level, so we will make use of this. If we lose some students in the process then we certainly can help a broader variety of students and therefore this is what we have to accept.” That is what we have done with these teachings – not only with the “My Lives” book but basically the teachings we have given over the last couple of years. It requires you to be more willing to look at yourself.
If you go back to previous ascended master’ organizations, you will see that many students there were so focused on decreeing to change the world that they essentially used this as an excuse for not looking at their own psychology. When we told them to look at their own psychology many people didn’t do it because they could justify this with “it was so important to decree on world conditions or various calamities might happen”.
As was just said, if you decide you’re going to fight the fallen beings, you can keep fighting this for many lifetimes. So if you decide that you have to decree to change world conditions and you don’t have time to look at your own psychology, you can also continue doing this for a very long time. And then it essentially is so that our teachings become an excuse for people not to look at their own psychology. This prevents them from making the progress theycould have made, the progress they wanted to make in their divine plans.

Question: What exactly does the process of healing wounds and traumas include? How do we heal the wounds from past lives? Do these wounds need to be raised consciously or is it possible to heal them without them being raised simply by recognizing similar situations in this embodiment and changing the decision? And how do I see and identify these wounds?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Well obviously my beloved, we have given the books on this. The “Healing Your Spiritual Traumas” book gives you practical tools and information on this that goes beyond what I can give in a brief answer. It is possible to heal certain wounds without having a conscious awareness of it but as was said in the question “having similar experiences in this life where you are changing the decision.”
However, when we talk about these very deep wounds that were created, for example if you came as an avatar to this planet and you received this very, very dramatic trauma in one of your first embodiments. Then it is necessary to see this consciously because you are probably not going to experience anything similar in this lifetime.
In terms of a separate self, again you need to see it consciously but the question is what can trigger that “seeing it consciously”? It isn’t always necessary to go back to when the separate self was created and see that situation where you created it. It is simply necessary to come to identify that there is a pattern in your psychology and you can see that this is not you, it is a separate entity, a separate self in your three higher bodies. When you see that you do not want to repeat this then you can let it go.
It is necessary to understand that a separate self will, in most cases project some kind of problem and that you cannot overcome the self by trying to solve the problem. You need to stop trying to solve it and just let the separate self go.
How do you know what kind of wounds you have? Well, in a sense you will know because you have lived with them all your life. It is of course possible that people can become so used to a wound that they are not really aware that it is a wound or not aware of what it is. That is why, again, we have given the teachings to help you tune in to see these wounds, to see these separate selves and we have also given you the exercises that will help you go through them. My exercise for going through the different gardens and going back to some situation in the past will help you tune in to these wounds from the past.

Question: You said in the “My Lives book” that active measures were taken to limit the size of the human population. Can you be more specific about what these measures are and what is the intent of their goals?
Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
The fallen beings and the power elite, whichever word you want to use have an awareness that most people don’t have and it isn’t out there in the scientific community. They have the awareness that what has often forced a change in the equation of society, the leadership equation of society, is the growth in the population. We have given the example before that the feudal societies of Europe lasted for several hundred years but there came a point where advances in medical technology, nutrition and hygeine meant that more children survived their early childhood.
This led to an increase in the population and once the population increased to a certain size then the feudal societies with their very strict distribution of wealth, their very unequal distribution of wealth could no longer support the population and before that, the people even though they lived very limited lives they could at least survive. Therefore they had been manipulated into a state where they didn’t rebel against the status quo. But once they were faced with starvation then they had to rebel or they had to move out – as some immigrated to America.
So you see that the fallen beings are quite aware that they can only set themselves up as the undisputed leaders when the population has a certain size and if the population grows beyond that size then they cannot have a situation where they have these very special privileges that are so much higher than the conditions of the average citizen. This has not just happened in the Middle Ages but throughout many previous civilizations. The fallen beings have always had a certain desire to limit the population to the number that they think they can control given the means of control they have in that particular society.
Obviously in today’s world the fallen beings have more tools for control than they had in the Middle Ages, both physical tools but especially for controlling the mind and therefore they can still feel that they have a certain degree of control over the planet even though the population has increased many times since the medieval age. Nevertheless they are still very afraid of a growth in the population and they are still seeking to limit the growth in the population but here they are up against the modern age, where you have a more widespread acceptance of certain, you might call them humane or humanistic ideas but they are really springing from the greater awareness of what we have called the essential or basic humanity.
These are, for example, that people are aware that it is not right that people starve to death, that they live as slaves and all of these kind of conditions. So it is much more difficult for the fallen beings today to limit the growth of the population. They are still trying in many subtle ways. Abortion is one aspect of limiting the growth of the population, they are still working against a cure of many diseases, that they do not want a breakthrough in the fight of certain diseases, they are also in many ways trying to resist progress, such as progress in agriculture, the ability to grow more food, more knowledge of nutrition. Again they are up against this raised awareness where they cannot do this in open ways, they have to do it in hidden ways, they have to try to manipulate and do it behind the scenes, behind the facade so to speak.
They do this in many ways in the sense that they have created various organizations that actually have the hidden purpose of resisting change, resisting growth. Of course there are other organizations that have the purpose of promoting growth and the fallen beings cannot always stop them. You will see that there came a certain point where and it happened at various times in various countries and parts of the world. But during the renaissance and after the renaissance when democracies started becoming more common there came a certain critical mass where the fallen beings could no longer hold back growth, they could not hold back development, they could only try to slow it down and restrict it and so that is what they are focused on now.
There are fallen beings who are aware that they have lost, that they are only seeking to extend the time they still have on Earth but they know they have lost the Earth as their exclusive domain where they have control over everything. There are of course some fallen beings who are then trying to create some kind of crisis, some kind of war that could set civilization back. There are even some fallen beings who would rather see the current civilization destroyed than having it run out of their control.
They will not be successful because too many spiritual people have raised their awareness, are doing the work, making decrees and invocations and other spiritual exercises and there is just a growing awareness that makes it impossible for them to stop my Golden Age. They can slow it down but they cannot stop it and they cannot stop the growth of the population either.
Of course they have tried in all kinds of ways, pollutants in the food, pollutants in the water, they have tried to create diseases, they have tried to manipulate the genetic material and do many things. In the past they have used genetic manipulation to limit the reproductive ability, they have attempted to do the same today but all of these measures will not stop the coming of the Golden Age.
We have gone beyond that critical mass. They can still slow it down and we may at some point give more expose’ on this but you need to know that the fallen beings are losing the game. Some of them are not aware of this, some of them are not willing to admit it but they are losing and certainly they will not be able to stop the growth of the population until it reaches that natural state that we have said before of the 10 billion people.
You could say that they are not really concerned about the size of the population, they are concerned about being able to control the population. So it is not so much that they want to limit the size of the population, they want to maintain control, they want to maintain this very unequal distribution of wealth that you see on the planet where as we have said even in the United States that more and more people have control over greater and greater portion of the wealth in society.
I have said before that the more developed nations are in a sense like the noble class of the Middle Ages who are consuming an inordinate amount of the resources available and thereby keeping the population in many third world countries in poverty and malnutrition and this of course is not sustainable. Because the people, not just the fallen beings, but because the people, in the developed nations have not been willing to reach out and help the other nations come up then population growth also has the function of forcing this issue to become more and more of a crisis where people in the Western nations cannot continue to ignore what is happening in other nations. This is, as we have said before, the reason for immigration. People are coming from, for example Africa to Europe because the nations of Europe have not used their affluence to go down and improve living conditions so people do not have to move out of the African countries.

Question: Are there any beings now that are precisely faking the vibrations of the Ascended Masters? For example, as it was described in “My Lives” when Jesus did not recognize the false teacher from the identity plane and how to discern and figure out that they are actually false teachers?
Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Yes my beloved, there are a quite a number of beings in the emotional, mental and identity realms who are seeking to present themselves as ascended masters or as being more highly involved than they are. How do you discern? Well there are certain outer signs and I have actually given some teachings on the website already on how you can recognize a false teacher. You can look for certain outer signs, if they are attempting to set themselves up as being superior to all others, if they are attempting to get followers that blindly follow them and blindly obey them then those are the signs of a false teacher.
But more (inwardly) the only real way to expose this is to develop your intuitive faculties as we have talked about many times so you can read vibration. You can actually come to a point where you can pick up a book in a bookstore, read a few lines or paragraphs and you can sense, this is not for me or this is not a higher teaching and this is the ultimate way to do this. Of course you can also say that if you have experienced the vibration of a genuine ascended master through our dictations, through various messengers then that can also give you a frame of reference.
It is a tricky thing to have discernment because as we have said, you have free will but your present level of consciousness limits the options you can see.
So you could say that a false teacher always has some hidden agenda, some selfish agenda. An ascended master needs nothing from you. We have no desire to manipulate you or to attach you to us or to a particular messenger or an organization but the false teachers always have some selfish desire; they want to get something from you. The thing is, if you have a separate self in you that has a certain kind of selfishness then you will not be able to recognize this in that teacher. You will not be able to recognize that the teacher has a selfish motive if you haven’t overcome it in yourself and that’s why discernment can be quite difficult and why many spiritual students, who are well meaning, over the years have been fooled by false teachers. You might say that the false teacher can manipulate you because you have a certain blind spot and you have the blind spot because there is a self in you that you haven’t seen. Therefore, you haven’t seen that this is a self-centered desire and therefore you cannot recognize the self-centeredness in the teacher.
But still, you can attain much by working on your intuition and of course working on the separate selves so that you can increase your discernment and you can certainly come to a point where you can even look at the picture of a spiritual teacher in embodiment, if it is a guru in embodiment and sense that this is not a genuine teacher or certainly not a teacher for you. You can pick up a book, you can read something on the Internet; it is not so difficult beloved, to develop the ability to sense when a teaching comes from the mental realm because that teaching is often very, very complicated, very, very complex. It basically is meant to give people the impression that if they can understand it or if at least they can think they can understand it then that means they are very advanced, they are more advanced than others.
You can also have some teachings that are very ambiguous, where you can read a sentence several times and you’re not sure exactly what is being said or what the intention is and those kinds of teachings can often attract people because when the teaching is ambiguous, it allows your ego to interpret the teaching anyway it wants. Many people can then use the teaching to validate what they want to believe and that is why there are certain beings in the mental realm who give these very ambiguous teachings where it is very difficult to understand exactly what the being means.
Of course, giving a spiritual teaching is inherently difficult because translating the spherical awareness of an ascended master into linear words is difficult. That is why you can see that if you look at ascended master teachings over time, we have been more obscure, more ambiguous in the past. It has been more difficult to understand exactly what was being said if you look at the past teachings. You will see that today we are attempting to be more and more direct, more and more precise, so that at least you are clear on what we are attempting to say but still, of course, we have the limitations of words.

Question: Jesus teaches about the gradual path of raising awareness, he also talks about the Kundalini process which should be progressive and slow. Spontaneous awakening can cause severe symptoms. Why do some people experience it spontaneously when they are not prepared for it? What do the masters recommend for such people?
Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Well, although this might be twisting words my beloved, there is no such a thing as a spontaneous awakening in the sense that all people have lived before and you may not have done anything in this lifetime to bring about your awakening but then surely you have done something in past lives that has brought you to the point where you could have an awakening in this lifetime.
Now there are of course people who have had what we might call a spontaneous awakening or kundalini rising that has been very disturbing to them. What is the purpose for that? In some cases there is not really a specific purpose for it, other than these people have, in a past lifetime, attempted to take heaven by force by using some kind of method or even black magic to force for example, the kundalini up or to force your spiritual growth in some way. This means that in the past life they didn’t have the breakthrough they wanted but then they have it in their next lifetime even though they have forgotten what they did before.
The only purpose for that is that then they need the experience of what can happen when you take heaven by force. The person might not have that experience in their conscious mind but at least they will be able to after this lifetime, deal with their spiritual guides and process the experience. Now there are also some people who have attempted to attain spiritual growth in a past life and reached a certain level.
Then they have decided that in this lifetime they would embody in circumstances where there was nothing that stimulates their spiritual growth. They had no spiritual training, no spiritual background; no spiritual guidance whatsoever and then suddenly, out of the blue so to speak, they have a spontaneous awakening or a very strong spiritual experience. Now the question is how to deal with this. In these cases the purpose might be that the people chose this because they wanted to show that even if you have grown up in a non-spiritual environment you can still actually make a shift and become a more spiritually aware person.
This messenger is aware that in Denmark there was a person who had grown up with parents who were denying any kind of spirituality, were very materialistic. She had educated herself as a journalist and had written articles that were fairly based on the materialistic view of life. Then one time she was visiting a church in Spain and she suddenly had an experience of seeing Jesus, as she could perceive me, next to her. This created such a dramatic shift in her consciousness; it took her years to deal with this. She actually had a kundalini rising that was very disturbing to her; she thought she was mentally ill but she ended up writing a book about this. It has so far had a positive effect on many people who have read it and have realized that it is actually possible to grow up in a very materialistic culture and environment but still make a shift and become more spiritually aware. This can be the case for some people.
There are of course also people who have had an awakening because it was in their divine plan to become spiritual teachers and so you can have some people who have written books and who are spiritual teachers and who, as they see it, had a spontaneous spiritual awakening. This is again a misunderstanding where they don’t realize that they surely did something in past lives to raise their consciousness to where they could have that “spontaneous awakening”.
This can have an unfortunate effect in some cases where they think that – they do not actually teach their students a gradual step by step process for attaining awakening. They are basically saying that there is nothing you can do to force a spiritual awakening; you just have to wait for it to happen. This of course is not very constructive for people because what if you don’t have a spiritual awakening in this lifetime, are you supposed to just sit around and be satisfied that you’re not awakened and hope that it will happen at some point?
Most people who are ready for spiritual growth will feel that it is more constructive to have a gradual path. There is a subtlety in the sense that there are some spiritual teachers who are actually denying the possibility of a spiritual path. They are saying that you cannot create a mechanical path that leads you to enlightenment. Some of these spiritual teachers have been fallen beings who simply want to discourage people from following the spiritual path. Some of them have not been fallen beings and they have actually had a point, seen from a certain perspective.
It is not possible to create a mechanical path where, if you follow certain steps, you are guaranteed to reach awakening or enlightenment or Christhood. We have said many times that the path is not automatic, it is not mechanical. Nevertheless, it is possible to create a path that leads you to higher states of consciousness as long as you do not follow it in a mechanical manner, as long as you realize the need to use and develop your intuitive faculties and to look beyond the outer teaching, to not be mechanical about the outer practice but to be open to having gradual smaller spiritual experiences that leads you towards greater and greater breakthroughs.
There are some people that have had this very dramatic experience that have caused a major breakthrough but for most people it is much more realistic and constructive to have a large number of smaller breakthroughs, smaller a-ha experiences, smaller mystical experiences that gradually leads you to higher levels of consciousness.
There are also some people who have attained spiritual growth to some degree in a past life but have then come into embodiment in this lifetime denying the possibility of spiritual growth. So you will see some people who have lived for some decades denying spiritual growth and suddenly they have this breakthrough because they had attained that level in a past life and even their denial wasn’t strong enough to suppress it. The purpose of that can again be to show that even if people are denying it, it is still possible to shift into a more spiritual awareness.
It is important for you to realize that the path is not mechanical but it is equally important for you to realize that the path is real and it does work if you do not approach it in a mechanical manner. It is not constructive for anyone to sit around and wait for a spontaneous awakening when there are so many teachings and tools already in the physical octave for how to walk a gradual systematic path.

Question: What is the meaning of the incarnation in which the probability of reaching Christ consciousness is close to zero? For example, people with Down Syndrome?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Well my beloved to be a little bit provocative, it is certainly not only people with Down Syndrome that have a zero probability of manifesting Christhood in this lifetime. In fact, you could say that more than 90 percent of the people embodying on this earth have a zero probability of manifesting Christhood in this lifetime simply because of their past momentums, their level of consciousness. Most people who are below the 48th level when they come into embodiment have a fairly small chance of manifesting Christhood in this lifetime.
So what you need to recognize is that there is a certain percentage and we have called it the top 10 percent who are more open-minded people. Whether they are into a spiritual teaching or not, they are more open and for these, it can be said they have a reasonable probability of manifesting Christhood in this lifetime. But for the other 90 percent, they have a fairly low probability and the lower you go on the scale of the 144 levels, the lower the probability becomes.
There are many, many people who are what you would consider normal people even some who are intelligent people, powerful people, some of the most powerful people on earth right now or seen throughout history may seem to be very sophisticated from a certain viewpoint but they have zero percent probability of attaining Christhood in this lifetime. What you realize here is that there are two different evolutions we are looking at as ascended masters. We are saying for example, here are people that have a potential to manifest Christhood, those we can seek to help in a certain way. We can actually seek to help them, of course, manifest Christhood in this lifetime. The other 90 percent, we’re not looking for how can we help them manifest Christhood in this lifetime. We are simply saying, “how can we help them make the most possible progress in this lifetime?”
This becomes a much more complicated scenario where basically you can say that everything that happens on earth has some potential to help raise consciousness. It can be raising the consciousness of one or several individuals or can be raising the collective consciousness or at least a certain group of people and so even people who have Down Syndrome, in some cases, they can actually grow from having an embodiment where their outer capabilities are so restricted because the soul can then focus on inner things. In some cases, it is not the person with Down Syndrome that grows but other people who are dealing with that person have an opportunity to grow in various ways.
You need to look at these nuances and see that there is always a potential for raising consciousness. You cannot say that if a person does not have the potential to manifest Christhood then that’s a wasted embodiment. Far from it. As long as the person has the potential to grow or that there’s a potential that other people can grow then of course it has a purpose.
In some cases it can be that while the person has very little opportunity to grow then the person might still indirectly advance by acting out certain things in a more and more extreme form which then brings the person closer to the point where it might have had enough of that experience. That is what you see with some fallen beings in embodiment and indeed some of these very powerful people. They need to act out this abuse of power in such an extreme way because there is at least an opportunity that it brings them closer to having had enough of it. Even if that person doesn’t wake up and have enough then perhaps the people who are exposed to their abuse of power will wake up and say, “we have had enough of this, we do not want this kind of leader anymore.”
So there’s always a purpose and it is not always easy to grasp this with the outer linear mind but I can assure you that if you will use your intuitive faculties, if you will do what we have said, overcome these separate selves that often have a very fixed image of the world then you will begin to feel that sense of purposefulness.

Question: What effect does the intellectual level have on the attainment of Christ consciousness? Do we all have the same intellectual capabilities but the differences only result from our blockages?
Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Part of Christ consciousness my beloved, is that you develop all of your four lower bodies. The physical body of course has the least influence on the Christ consciousness in one sense but of course, if your physical body is severely limited then it may be difficult for you to attain or express Christ consciousness.
So you need to have a certain level of development of the physical body in order to support the Christ consciousness and this is part of attaining mastery. But it is attained not by working with the physical body but working with three higher bodies.
Your emotional body also needs to evolve in order to be the Christ because you need to come to that point where you’re not driven by your emotions, you’re not controlled by your emotions. You don’t have these very reactionary selves. You don’t have this mechanism where you are seeking to change other people in order to avoid a negative feeling in yourself or for that matter, seeking to change other people because you think only if you get their love and attention will you feel happy.
Now the mental mind, of course, is part of this. In order to be able to express Christ consciousness in specific situations it is important and valid to develop your mental capacity. The problem however is that for many, many people, especially in the modern world which is so in love with the intellect, they think that it is possible to attain Christ consciousness by understanding enough intellectually, analytically. They actually think that Christ consciousness is a matter of having enough understanding and of course you could take my statement, “with all thy getting, get understanding” but nevertheless understanding goes beyond as I used it, goes beyond intellectual understanding.
You could say my beloved that there are many people in the modern world who for several lifetimes because this process has been going on for centuries, who for several lifetimes have been focused on developing their intellect and becoming what you call “intelligent” or “intellectual people” and so they have built a momentum on this.
Now they come to a point where they are open to the spiritual path and they find the spiritual path in one form or another and then they basically approach the spiritual path as was said in the previous question, as a mental game, a mental exercise. They are attempting to make spiritual progress by using their intellect to know and understand more and more, to categorize, to label, to create a system where you, for example, list characteristics for what it means to be a spiritually advanced person and then with your outer mind you strive to attain those characteristics and then you think this equates to spiritual growth.
Christ consciousness has been misunderstood by many spiritual students who are so focused in the mental mind, focused on the intellect and it can become a blind alley. You do see students who have studied spiritual teachings for 30 or 40 years and who are very knowledgeable from a linear intellectual perspective but who haven’t really shifted their consciousness very much, if at all. They know more and more but they haven’t really changed. They haven’t really risen to a higher level on the scale of the 144 levels and this is not what we desire to see. That is why we have given you so many tools that if you actually use these tools, it will be very difficult for you to remain focused on the intellect.
But you have some students that are so attached to the intellect that they have what we might call intellectual pride and they simply would not be able to even accept or grasp the teachings we have given through this messenger. They want something that is more mental, more intellectual and for such people there are teachings like that in the world. They are not given by the ascended masters but they are given by beings in the mental realm who have given some teachings that are very mental, are very intellectual and it is not that these teachings are necessarily given in a malicious way unless these beings in the mental realm present themselves as ascended masters, in which case you would call them impostors because they are not ascended masters if they’re in the mental realm.
But there are beings in the mental realm who are simply saying, “well we have a greater understanding of the universe than most people on earth and therefore we should give some teachings if we have the opportunity to give them through some kind of channel.” This could be said to have a certain legitimacy because it can help certain people.
Unfortunately however, we also see that some of the people who follow these very intellectual teachings only become more and more anchored in this intellectual pride and they even sometimes move on to what we might call spiritual pride, where they have a sense that they are more spiritually advanced than most other people on the planet. You have organizations where the people who are following that particular teaching feel that they are surely the most evolved, the most advanced, most sophisticated, spiritual students on the planet and we have, I trust, strongly encouraged you not to go into that blind alley because it really isn’t constructive for the potential that you have to rise to higher levels of consciousness in this embodiment.

Question: Could the masters give a deeper teaching about the non-existence of time and spiritual reality. We know that certain things happen chronologically, for example filling the newly created sphere with light. If time does not exist and everything is happening at the same time, how can we relate it to free will, which has the opportunity to realize the path to Christ consciousness or is it an opposite direction? From our terrestrial perspective this happens in particular time. How do the beings in the spiritual world feel the time that flows on earth?
Answer from the Ascended Master Gautma Buddha through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
My beloved I am the one who has said “time is not” which of course is a Koan. Surely time exists at some level. Surely the world is to some degree linear – there is a progression from one stage to the next. You might say that the entire world view we have given you is that the Creator starts by creating a void and then it creates a process whereby co-creators fill that void and that is an entirely linear process. So from that perspective you could say that if you look at time as a progression from one stage to the next, where one stage creates a certain manifestation that sets the foundation for further development which then happens at the next stage. If you look at time this way then certainly time exists.
What I wanted you or people in general to contemplate with the statement that “time is not”, is that time is not necessarily exactly the way that you currently see it with the consciousness that is ‘normal’ on earth. It is not quite as linear, as set in stone, as unavoidable, as unchangeable as you normally perceive it.
One aspect of this is the entire teaching we have given you on how to get rid of these separate selves and therefore heal your four lower bodies. We might say that at some point in the distant past you experienced a birth trauma and that moment is no longer there, that moment has moved on. You are now in a different time but you are carrying the birth trauma with you. You are still affected by it because the later moments, the moments that came after that birth trauma were given a certain direction by the birth trauma, so everything that came after builds on the birth trauma.
If you could not change time, if you could not change the past, if you didn’t have a time machine where you could go back in the past where you could resolve that birth trauma, how could you ever be free of it? You see that by the very moment that the Creator gave co-creators free will, in order to exercise their free will there had to be a linear progression which is what you call ‘time’ so that people could see, co-creators could see that when they project a certain image onto the matter light, after some time the matter light outpictures it as physical circumstances. Those physical circumstances do not just disappear after a split second but can exist for a period of what you call time.
In order to exercise free will there has to be time so that certain manifestations can be maintained. However in order to make sure that free will does not become a self-limiting system where you gradually create consequences for yourselves that you carry with you over time and they become so severe that pretty soon you have no options left, you have no free will. In order to avoid this scenario, time cannot go in just one direction. There has to be a way for you to go back and change the past. Two million years ago there might have been a physical situation where you were exposed to the birth trauma but the positive aspect of time is that time has moved on. That physical situation is no longer there.
That is a grace because (contrary to what science fiction writers want you to believe) you cannot build a physical machine that goes back to a physical situation that happened two million years ago and now you are physically back there and can make physical changes. This cannot be done. This will never be possible but what you can do is that you can create a time machine in your mind.
Mother Mary in her exercise where she takes you through the seven gardens back to the theatre where your birth trauma happened, she actually gave you such a time machine, so you can go back to the situation where the situation still exists. The situation does not exist in the physical but it does exist in your emotional, mental and identity bodies.
You can go back in a time machine through those bodies, dissolve the traces that are left there, the matrices, the limitations, the selves, whatever you want to call it – dissolve that and now you have changed your past even though time has moved on. You have changed your past. By getting rid of your primal self you are no longer the same person as you were when your very sense of identity and the way you thought about life and the way you felt about life was coloured by that primal self. You have become a new being in Christ.
So that is at least one level of why I say that “time is not” because time is not something that is a fixed quantity. Now in terms of free will there has always been a discussion both amongst spiritual people and among philosophers that for example, religious people will say; “if God is all knowing then God must know the end from the beginning. God must know what is going to be the ultimate outcome of the universe before he even started the process of creating the universe and if God knows everything that’s going to happen – how can a human being have free will?”
The answer to that is, that this is a flawed vision of God, a flawed image of God created by the fallen beings precisely to create this kind of confusion. God is not all-knowing in the sense that God knew exactly how everything was going to unfold. God knew certain overall things but not all of the details, so God has actually said, the Creator has said; “I’m giving you free will. I’m giving you the ability to surprise me”. So from a traditional viewpoint God is not all knowing.
You can even take materialists who say that; ‘everything is determined by laws of nature’. You had the old image that the world is like a big clock and if you knew everything about the initial conditions of how the world started then you could by knowing the laws of nature, determine exactly where the world will be at any point in the future. You could predict the future if you knew the initial conditions and the laws of nature.
But this is also completely incorrect because a materialistic view does not incorporate free will and does not incorporate the fact that the physical universe is just the effects of what is happening in the three higher bodies. Physical manifestation is a product of what is happening at the level of consciousness. Consciousness comes before the physical manifestation as we have said. So these views are simply incorrect. You do have free will.
What you do one minute from now is not known by God, is not determined by God, is not limited by God, nor is it limited by the laws of nature. You can say, look at a certain person, his psychological state, look at the separate selves he has and you can with very high probability predict what that person is going to do one minute from now. Nevertheless, over time you cannot know if that person chooses to change. Even if people don’t know anything about ascended master teachings they can still make the choice: “I’ve had enough of this kind of experience. Why am I doing this all over, over and over again? I’m going to choose to change. I’m going to stop this.”
Throughout history people have made these kind of choices and it is what has bought them forward personally and what has bought civilization forward. Once you understand the separate selves, you can remove those selves, you can let them die and then for each self you let die you can have a more, more free will. You have free will but you can only choose the options you can see and the options you can see right now depends on your entire four lower bodies, the separate selves, the colorings you have. Some of these separate selves will block out many options so you simply cannot see them and if you cannot see an option you cannot choose it.
Ultimately free will and awareness are very much tied together. You could say you always have free will to choose the options you can see at your present level of consciousness and you only have a will that is as free as what you can see. So definitely, free will is a reality and any philosophy, any thought system that denies free will or seeks to restrict free will by some factor over which you have no potential to take control, any such a system springs from the minds of the fallen beings. We are not saying that all people who promote such systems are fallen beings but the original ideas sprang from the minds of the fallen beings becasue their primary concern is not to limit the size of the population but to limit the choices that the population can make or rather that individuals can make. They want to limit your free will.

Question: This is a two-part question but I feel it’s the same, so I am going to try to bridge it together. This person is asking what is the deeper meaning behind chronic disease and also mystery illnesses like autoimmune diseases. They keep working on their psychology and healing the physical body but the problem keeps coming back. They never know when it will strike again and modern science has not been any help. It’s only been able to suppress the condition and that is relating to the autoimmune problem and that there’s very little information about what this person can do for themselves. They’d like to know, is there more that they can look at to know how to help them transcend this?

There are two concerns in these cases of chronic disease. One is that for some people it is really part of their divine plan that they live with this disease and demonstrate how to still live as constructive of a life as possible even with the disease because this can help other people realize that even if they cannot escape a certain condition, they can still live a somewhat constructive and happy or at least somewhat joyful life.
But for other people, they are meant to demonstrate that you can transcend the disease and the way to do this is of course, to go deeper and deeper into the psychology. Deeper and deeper, letting go of more and more of these selves, getting down to the primal self and letting that go.
Now, it’s clear that when it comes to any kind of a disease there is always more knowledge that can be revealed about it. Modern science has gotten to a certain understanding of some of these diseases and it cannot go beyond it, it seems. The reason they cannot go beyond it is of course that science is stuck in a materialistic paradigm where everything that is a physical effect has to have a physical explanation, a physical cause and when science or scientists decide to let go of this paradigm, they will find deeper causes, deeper explanations, deeper knowledge.
This will enable them, in some cases to help with this. But you need to recognize that there are some diseases where science will never discover a physical cure. But they will when they transcend the materialistic paradigm, discover a way to help people at the physical, emotional, mental and identify levels. This is where you can say this is no longer science as you define it today. It is where science begins to blend with mysticism or spirituality and you realize that everything is really a psycho-spiritual issue, a psycho-spiritual problem and has a psycho-spiritual solution.
What you can do on a personal level is use the teachings on how to deal with the separate selves and the primal self. Look at the selves that you have created in order to deal with the disease. Look beyond them. Look at your attitude to life on earth. Look at your attitude to the physical body and realize that you have separate selves that are reacting to the physical body, reacting to life on earth and then use our teachings to get rid of these separate selves. Then you will gradually have a stronger intuition so you can know, “should I live with this disease or should I continue to seek for ways, deeper and deeper psycho-spiritual healing, until I can transcend it?”.

Question: Can you shortly describe the lowest planet in our universe? How dense is matter and so on? Has anybody ascended from that planet? And will the masters comment on the total number of unnatural planets and how many of these are lower than earth? And are there any other planets that still have fallen beings embodying on them?
Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Yes my beloved it may be hard for some of you to believe but there are in fact planets that are lower than Earth in terms of the collective consciousness. Even planets that have a more dense form of matter where life is even more of a struggle than it is on earth. There are not many planets but of course many is a relative term. Just to give you some sense of proportion, more than 99% of the planets in your universe are natural planets. They are at various stages of development where some have higher and some have lower states of development but they are still natural planets in the sense that you do not have the conflicts, the warfare and some of the other manifestations that you see on Earth.
So more than 99% are natural planets. Less than 1% are unnatural planets and out of those, only a small fraction, less than 10%, are more dense than earth. So there are quite a number of unnatural planets that are actually at a higher level than Earth. This really is not information that is very relevant to you but I will indulge curiosity for once.
Your main concern is of course Earth, planet Earth. As one of you said this afternoon “I certainly don’t want to go to a planet that is more dense than Earth” and most of you will probably feel the same way and it is, of course, perfectly legitimate that if you have been on one unnatural planet you do not feel like going to any other unnatural planet. That is completely understandable and you will never be forced to do so unless of course, you fell into duality and went to the lowest state of consciousness allowed on earth and then even went lower so that the only option was to embody on one of the denser planets but that I trust, none of you desire to experience.
Really I would like to comment that you need to understand that there is a certain built in safety factor in the sense that as a planet lowers its collective consciousness matter becomes more dense and therefore it becomes more of a struggle to do anything. This is simply because, as you would say with children, that if children have a tendency to hurt themselves or other people you would probably take knives and other sharp instruments away from that child and make sure they only had soft toys with which they could create limited damage.
It’s the same thing here, that on a more dense planet there is a limit to how much damage you can do or at least it becomes more difficult. This can be put together with the fact that nuclear weapons have been developed on earth and you could say, “well how is that limiting the destructive capacity?” But as we have mentioned before, there are other concerns that can come in where we sometimes need to face the population of a planet with this capacity to destroy themselves in order to make them think how they can avoid using that capacity.
There are of course, certain planets where there is and has been ever more severe wars than you have seen on earth. There are planets that have been destroyed due to war and this is not something we desire to see repeated but again, there can be situations where you need to allow the inhabitants to destroy a planet because it can actually awaken some of them when they see these consequences that are far worse than they had actually imagined.

Question: How can we work, deal and separate ourselves from separate selves and spirits without turning it into a mental game?

A very good question as they say. It may indeed for some people be necessary to go through a phase where you do turn it into a mental game because there are certain selves you need to clear out of the way and it doesn’t really matter how you do it as long as you do it. But there can come a point if you have turned this into a mental game, there needs to come a point where you realize that it’s not you who has turned it into a mental game, it’s another separate self that has created a mental game out of getting rid of these more easily seen separate selves.
There may indeed for some people be a separate self that has turned the spiritual path into a mental game where you are constantly trying to raise yourself up, either compared to others or compared to some standard you have in your head and it can even be a competitive game.
This is again a self and it can be more difficult to see this but again we have given you these teachings where Jesus for example talked about your spiritual modus operandi, how you see yourself and how you see the path, how you see the masters and by working with this you can certainly come to see that it is a separate self that is playing this game. It is not actually you and then you can decide whether you have had enough of it or whether you want to continue to play this mental game for another 87 embodiments, if that’s your desire. I am not recommending it my beloved, I am just saying you have free will.
So if you let go of this mental game then this can be your last embodiment and that is what I would, for most of you, recommend. We have given teachings that not all of you are meant to ascend after this embodiment because you want to be part of manifesting Saint Germain’s Golden Age.

Question: How can I be free from my fear of not getting my emotional needs being met? I try to get love and attention but feel that I do not get enough.
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
YOU, are not feeling that you are not getting enough love and attention, you have a separate self that is projecting that you are not getting enough love and attention and this separate self can never get enough love and attention. The need of this separate self can never be fulfilled. It’s a black hole. No matter how much love and attention you put into it, it will not be filled up, so you need to recognize here that self exists, you need to use the tools and teachings we have given on how to overcome it and let it die.
Then you can begin to look at it from a different perspective and you can realize that really, in order to get enough love and attention, you can not get it from an outside source, you can not get it from other people. You can only get it from within yourself and your I Am Presence is perfectly capable of giving you enough love and attention when you no longer have that unfulfillable need.
This of course requires you to tune in to your I Am Presence and that requires you again to overcome the separate self but to also to cultivate putting your attention on your I Am Presence. You may have to overcome other separate selves as for example this messenger realized many years ago. He was not accepting himself and back then he didn’t have the teachings on the separate selves but he realized that in order for him to feel accepted, he needed to first accept himself. Which of course means overcoming the separate self that is projecting that you are not worthy to be accepted, you are not acceptable according to some standard.
This is what you need to look at and then you will find that it will come from inside yourself. You could basically say that when you are a mature spiritual student and I am not saying that new people on the path can’t understand this teaching but when you are a mature spiritual student you need to come to the point where you recognize that the only way to have your desires truly fulfilled, for example the desire for love and attention, is to get it from within yourself because in order to have good relationships with other people you can not approach them from a state of lack.
In other words most relationships in the world are based on both parties feeling a state of lack and hoping that the other person can fill that lack they feel in themselves. This is precisely why most relationships in the world are dysfunctional. When you come to a certain point on the spiritual path you need to realize that it is your responsibility to fill your basic emotional needs from inside yourself and when you do this you can start having relationships with other people that are not based on lack, that are not based on thinking that other people can fill the hole in yourself, that it is actually your responsibility to fill.
It is not that you actually fill the hole, you simply need to overcome the self that is blocking the love from your I Am Presence from flowing into your four lower bodies. Or you could even say that it is your self that prevents you from seeing that your I Am Presence is constantly showering you with love and attention. Then you can have relationships where you might actually get the love and attention that you craved but could never get before but you are not actually no longer needing it from other people and therefore you are not blaming the other person if he or she can not fill your needs.
When two people are at the point where they are not blaming each other, that is when their relationship can become an upward spiral instead of being this often a downward spiral where they become more and more dissatisfied with each other and more and more blaming toward each other.

Question: How is it possible for people who are sensitive to get along with people who are insensitive without creating conflicts?

By listening to the two dictations (link 1, link 2) I gave earlier today and truly internalizing these teachings. You can have a relationship with other people without conflict only if you are not trying to change those other people. If you are not having the intention with your outer mind that they should change because if you have that intention with your outer mind, that means that with your outer mind you are judging how those people should live and how they shouldn’t live, this will create conflict with other people.
This messenger has said that he has contact with people who are not interested in any form of spirituality but he interacts with them at that level, the level they are at and he doesn’t attempt to change them, he just actually gives them a sense that he accepts them unconditionally for who they are. This might in the long run change some of them but it is not something the messenger is even concerned about and if you can relate to people that way and that’s why again when you overcome your separate selves, you overcome this compulsion to change other people. Then you can have a peaceful relationship with them and this might very well inspire them to change when they experience that you have a different view of life which you can freely share where you’re not preaching to them, you’re not seeking to change them.
You’re not even concerned about whether they change or not because you accept they have a right to live the way they want, they have the right to grow at their level of consciousness. Of course you also have the right to say, “I don’t want to associate with those kind of people.” There are a certain kind of people that this messenger has decided he doesn’t want to associate with because he doesn’t enjoy it and you have the right to make the same decision. But again, when you overcome those separate selves then you can make that decision from a state of peace, not as a way to avoid dealing with people who might push your buttons because you have gotten rid of the buttons therefore you can very easily associate with these kind of people, you just choose not to.

Question: Can you please enlighten us, why are there people in the higher state of consciousness still willing to kill animals and other life forms to eat or use them in the world today where there are so many other alternatives? How can we contribute to create a better world if we are still willing to take life so easily from other life forms and be so insensitive towards elemental life?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
Let me first comment on elemental life. By killing animals for food, you’re not being insensitive to elemental life. You are actually allowing those elementals, who are created to manifest animals, to fulfill their service and thereby grow. You have to understand that planet Earth is right now at a certain level, the collective consciousness is at a certain level. There’s a certain density in the physical octave and therefore eating meat from animals is for most people necessary. There are people who have been vegetarians for years and have come to realize that they had actually damaged their health by forcing their bodies to adhere to a vegetarian diet and the fact of the matter is that in the current density of the planet it is difficult for a human body to gain all the nutrition it needs from plant food, from a plant based diet.
That is why you have animals whose digestive system and we might say, even their consciousness, the density of their bodies, is different. It can break down plant life into its nutritional components in a way that the human body cannot do. So by the human body consuming the animal body you can still get the nutrients that you cannot get directly from the plant food. You have to recognize here that even though this is not the ultimate condition on Earth and not the ideal condition on Earth, it is the current condition on Earth and we have to be practical realists and say that in the current condition most people need to eat meat, it is simply a practical reality.
What we have talked about earlier and what I talked about earlier in my dictation is that you can have this attitude on Earth and many spiritual people have it, that certain things should not be happening and you can have the attitude perhaps based on the philosophy of Buddhism of not harming any sentient being or any form of life. You can have this from past lives, that you should not be harming animals and you should therefore not being eating meat.
But you have to look at the bigger picture here and realize that you cannot simply decide, “If I’m not eating meat then I’m not harming animals” because you’re living in an environment that is a whole and the only way that you as a human being could avoid harming animals, my beloved, is to commit suicide. Because if you live in a house then where that house is now there could have been a field or a forest where animals could have been living. You also have to realize that planet Earth has a hierarchical structure and at the top of that hierarchical structure is human beings and that means that all other life forms on Earth ideally would serve human beings and facilitate the growth and the existence of human beings.
That’s why as I said, the elementals that are creating animals, it’s allowing them to perform their service, to eat meat. Of course, in a responsible manner and you do not want these animals to suffer needlessly or to be killed in brutal ways. But nevertheless this is, in the current situation, simply the practical reality. Now this doesn’t mean that you can’t make the decision as a spiritual person that “I do not want to eat meat.” There is nothing inherently wrong with this except you have to realize that for many people this could be dangerous to their health.
So as a spiritual person, you should first of all, attempt to attune to your body and if you get a clear intuitive sense that your body can function without eating meat then you can make the decision not to eat meat. But there are many spiritual people who have accepted some kind of idea, some kind of belief and then they have decided, “I’m not going to eat meat because…” whatever reason they have and then they have forced this belief upon their physical bodies and this is not actually helping your spiritual progress because it is in a sense, reinforcing the consciousness of separation.
You see my beloved when you start to overcome the consciousness of separation, you also overcome these negative attitudes that many spiritual people have to their physical bodies. You begin to become more attuned to your physical body and therefore, you can sense intuitively what does your physical body need in order to function at the optimal level as conditions are on Earth right now. And as I said if you get an intuitive sense that your body doesn’t need meat there is nothing wrong with choosing not to eat meat but make sure that you have a pure intuitive sense. You cannot have this pure intuitive sense if you have, with your outer mind, adopted a very strong belief that it is wrong to eat meat then you cannot tune into your body and sense what your body needs.
Again you see that there is a certain phase on the spiritual path. We could say that before people start on the spiritual path they are in much the same state of consciousness as the average person and the average person has a certain level of awareness. When you start the spiritual path you usually and often very quickly, switch to a higher level of awareness. You become more aware of many different things and this for many people means that they become more sensitive and that is why they often become open to these beliefs that are, what we have called black and white, that are very clear, decisive, “it’s wrong to do this, it’s wrong to do that.” That is again where many people become sensitive to this belief that “Oh, it’s not right to eat meat. It’s not right to kill animals. You shouldn’t do this, you shouldn’t do that” and this is, again, acceptable at a certain stage of the path.
But we are giving these teachings for people who are at a higher level or who are willing to come up to a higher level. Where you go beyond the black and white thinking and you reach a higher level of awareness where you see more nuances, you become open to the practical reality where you can say, “what does my body need in order to function?” and if you sense that your body needs meat, then you eat it and you don’t feel guilty about it.
Naturally my beloved you can attempt to buy meat where the animals are raised under the best possible conditions, where they are killed under the most “humane”, so to speak, conditions and of course there is no doubt, that there will come a point, there will come many points where society becomes more and more aware of the need to treat animals better. Of course there will come a point where people will not eat meat, where nobody or at least very few people on the planet will eat meat but that is going to happen in the somewhat distant future and it is not something that will happen, for most of you, in your lifetime.
Therefore again, you need to be a practical realist, you need to not have these very fixed beliefs about what you should or what you shouldn’t do. Because there comes that point where you need to look beyond such beliefs and be much more intuitive, much more attuned to your particular situation and your particular body and what it needs.

Question: How can I be free from the fear of not being good enough, the fear of being rejected and the need for approval by others.
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
By using the teachings we have given on the primal self and the other separate selves. It is a separate self in you that feels it is not good enough. You say; “I am not good enough” but that’s because you are identifying yourself with that self. So we have given you the tools and a procedure for gradually coming to separate yourself from that self. Coming to see it as a separate self, realizing that it is the separate self that has that feeling.
Now you have to understand here that the reason why these separate selves have power over you (or I could say us, when we are in embodiment) is that it is projecting that there is some kind of problem or some kind of condition that needs to be changed. In this case it is projecting that you are not good enough. So from a linear analytical perspective it would seem that in order to overcome the feeling, you have to either change the condition that makes you not good enough or you have to do something that proves it wrong.
So in other words you have to do something in order to solve the problem that the self projects. But the essential realization is that there is nothing you need to do to solve the problem that the self projects. In fact there is nothing you can do. You can never overcome the sense of being unworthy by trying to work within the boundaries defined by that separate self. The only way out, the absolutely only way out is to dis-identify yourself from the self, come to see it as a separate self and let it die without attempting to solve the problem.

Question: How can I deal with dishonesty in a close relationship and in general? When this happens I feel naive for trusting and end up feeling fooled and betrayed.
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2018.
You need to – as in all cases – look at yourself first and see why you feel you have to trust this individual that has proven over again that he or she cannot be trusted. Therefore you need to also look at why you feel you have to be in a close relationship with such a person. Is there something that makes you feel that you have to do it and what then would be the reason for it?
You also have to look at whether you have a separate self that relates to trusting other people and feeling betrayed when they are violating your trust. You have to look at if you come down on yourself, what you feel about having your trust misused and whether you feel obligated somehow to stay in a relationship even though the person is not trustworthy.
When you overcome these selves you can perhaps find a more direct way to deal with the other person and confront the person with the dishonesty and perhaps this can change the dynamic of the relationship, perhaps it cannot. If people are dishonest, they obviously have a very deep psychological issue and if they’re not willing to work on that issue your best option can be to simply move on from the relationship and leave that person behind.
But it is certainly valuable to first attempt if you can help the person overcome this tendency but in order to do this fully you have to first overcome in yourself your reactionary patterns to the situation. In other words, you need to overcome this tendency to want to change the other person in order to avoid a certain feeling in yourself. Then you can be neutral about it and then it will also be much easier for you to make a decision as to whether you want to stay in the relationship or not.

Question: What is the value of a Conscious You when it is destroyed in the Sacred Fire, like Lucifer in the My Lives book?

The Conscious You is simply a vehicle that the I AM Presence uses in order to experience an unascended sphere from the inside rather than from the outside and so as we have given various teachings before, the Conscious You when you ascend also is dissolved or merges back into the I AM Presence. It’s a process that can be difficult to describe in linear words because it isn’t linear. But the Conscious You has value as a vehicle for descending but it isn’t a permanent thing, it isn’t a separate thing, it isn’t a separate self.
I know these are subtle concepts and not necessarily easy to understand but you have to realize here that there is a certain tendency among some spiritual students that they want to reduce every spiritual concept to a linear concept that can be grasped with a linear analytical mind. The analytical mind as we have said is a valuable tool for some tasks but also has limitations, so the linear mind is of course suited for understanding and analyzing and categorizing the physical world, which is linear but it is not suited for understanding more subtle spiritual concepts.
That’s why you have to be very careful not to be so focused on the outer words that you shut off your intuitive faculties because truly to understand or grasp or experience the process you have to do this through an intuitive experience and we could in a sense say that understanding what happens with the Conscious You as you ascend is in a way meaningless because you will not grasp it until you experience it.
So when we have to reduce this to linear words we cannot truly avoid distorting the concept somewhat and bringing it to a level where it is open to various interpretations of how people interpret the words. And if you then focus on the words and if you then have different people interpret it differently and now they get in an argument about who has the right understanding then I have to say you have misunderstood the purpose of us giving the teaching. Our purpose is not really to make you understand with a linear mind but to actually transcend the linear mind and experience it in a more holistic intuitive manner, ultimately of course that final transcendence of the linear mind, which is called the ascension.

Question: Is there an Ascended Being who has been confronted with the second death? So has there been somebody who has ascended that’s gone through that experience and then turned around and walked the path back up to the ascension?

Questioner: so somebody who has been ascended, who is ascended now, that was confronted before they decided to walk the path to the ascension? And then began their path and then ascended.

My beloved, there have been beings who have fallen and confronted with the second death, decided to turn around and walk the path back and have now ascended. This happened both in the fourth sphere, in the fifth and in the sixth and it is in the process of happening in this sphere although no one has yet completed the process. So this is always possible.
Of course once you have ascended you do not fall because by ascending you give up the desire to exercise your free will as a separate being and instead you will decide to exercise it as a being who has that oneness with all life and with your I AM Presence.
