Death is not created by God

TOPICS: Death is not part of God’s design – death is a consequence of the misuse of free will and the accumulation of lower energies – many people think death is inevitable – Jesus came to show how to avoid death through Christ consciousness – people’s karma becomes their teacher – death is a teacher – nothing is permanent that is separated from God – why bad things happen to good people – open your heart to unconditional love from God – become an open door for God’s love

Question: Beloved Jesus, I don’t understand the purpose of death in this realm. I don’t see how my lifestream would actually choose to come to a realm that has death and suffering. Especially a realm where the death and suffering is of someone I love. Why would God take a dog from me who meant everything to me? I don’t understand why he would allow this to happen… Taking him from me only makes me wish all the time that I had him back… just to take care of him and to continue to love him. Is my love not as important as yours? If I was to beg for a miracle from God, what would be the correct way and most effective way to ask? Do I ask that I am taken back in time to when my dog was alive? Or that his ashes are just magically turned back into life? Why wouldn’t God take someone who was doing harm to the world instead of an innocent lifestream who provides so much love? Why does God allow an evil murderer to live and not an innocent lifestream who meant everything to someone?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

My beloved friend, I feel your pain and sorrow. If you will make an effort to go beyond the outer sense of sorrow and the outer thoughts and questions and center in your heart, I will give you my true comfort flame that will consume your sorrow. However, this must be a personal experience that I cannot give you on this website. You must therefore choose to tune in to my heart by using the exercise given.

For now, let me attempt to answer your questions. Death was not actually created by God and it was not part of the original design for planet earth. As I explain throughout this website, God gave human beings free will. People chose to misuse their free will, and they descended into a lower state of consciousness in which they have lost contact with their spiritual source. They have lost contact with God.

After this loss of contact occurred, lifestreams misqualified the energies of God to such an extent that they altered every aspect of life on this planet. It is a law of God that you cannot ascend to the spiritual realm until you have balanced all misqualified energy you have generated in the matter universe. It is also a law of God that if you misqualify God’s energy, the stream of energy from your spiritual self will be reduced proportionally to your misuse of God’s light. Eventually, you can reach a critical mass so that the life of the physical body can no longer be sustained. This led to the situation where people’s bodies actually die instead of simply being raised in vibration as the lifestream ascends to the spiritual realm. Because lifestreams had not balanced the misqualified energy, their karma, before the death of the physical body, reincarnation became a necessity.

As a result of people’s misuse of God’s energy over many lifetimes, you now have a very complex situation on planet earth, a situation that is very far from God’s original design and intent. Death has now become a seemingly inevitable part of life on this planet. A big part of my mission was to show people that death does not have to be part of life. Death does not have to be inevitable because the lifestream can conquer death by following the path to individual Christhood and thereby ascending to the spiritual realm.

I hope you can understand that the conditions you currently see on this planet were not created by God and they are not what God wants for people. So it is not actually true that God took your dog away from you. Your dog was taken away as a result of a complicated karmic situation. However, if you look beyond such painful experiences, you realize that what has truly happened on planet earth is that people have lost contact with their spiritual teachers. Therefore, their own actions, when their misqualified energies return to them in the form of karma, have become the teacher.

One might say that death has also taken on the function of being a teacher. Death teaches people that nothing in this matter universe is permanent—when you have disconnected yourself from God. Therefore, people have the opportunity to use death as a stepping stone for building the determination to reach beyond the transitory matter realm and win the lifestream’s eternal life in the spiritual realm. Death also has the function of teaching people that they should not allow themselves to become emotionally attached to anything in this transitory realm, because everything in this realm can be taken away. Even their own physical life will eventually be taken away unless they raise their consciousness.

The complex karmic situations created on planet earth also explain why some seemingly good and innocent people experience severe calamities while other seemingly bad or evil people are allowed to live or even prosper. Again, this is not happening by God’s design or according to God’s intent. It is the outplaying of people’s choices in past lives and in their present lifetime. I know these insights will not do much to comfort you and heal your pain. Nevertheless, they might provide you with an understanding that will eventually help you let go of the pain.

You ask what is the correct way to pray for a miracle from God concerning the death of your dog. The best miracle you could pray for is the understanding and acceptance that God loves you unconditionally and that he is willing to give that love to you at any time. The reason you feel such sorrow over the loss of your dog is that your dog gave you unconditional love and your dog opened your heart so that you could feel unconditional love for the dog. It is the love, not so much the dog itself, that you truly miss.

However, all unconditional love truly comes from God. What you were feeling from your dog was God’s unconditional love streaming to you through your dog. What you felt for your dog was God’s unconditional love flowing through you to your dog.

If you would pray for a miracle of the opening of your heart, you would realize that the true miracle of life is the flow of God’s unconditional love through you. You would then realize that the flow of love does not depend on anything in this world, including your dog. So many people long to find the perfect spouse and they think that if only they found the right one, they would feel unconditional love. However, the key to feeling unconditional love is to open the door in your heart, whereby Gods unconditional love can stream through you.

An important part of my mission on earth was to show people that you can feel unconditional love for anyone and everyone. So I encourage you to pray to God to open your heart so that you can feel God’s unconditional love for all human beings and learn to express that unconditional love toward everyone.

The true opportunity you have when you experience the death of a loved one is to transcend your feelings for that particular person and expand them to all life. There are truly people who go through sorrow and learn to open their hearts so that the love of God can flow through them toward all life. Unfortunately, there are also many people who experience sorrow and go into a state of mind of blaming God for their loss.

This is the basic choice that people have in this world. Will you take a positive approach and open your heart to love, or will you take a negative approach and close your heart. When you close your heart, you will always find something in this imperfect world that can be used as a justification for shutting off God’s love. When you open your heart, you will always find something to love, and you will feel God’s love streaming through you.

The meaning of the “living dead”

TOPICS: Everything has a certain basic form of consciousness – inanimate matter does not have self-awareness – only beings with self-awareness can self-transcend – the Conscious You can do this – if Conscious You rebels against growth, it may abandon the soul vehicle – the divine spark or threefold flame – what it means that a person is one of the living dead and has no divine spark – how the divine spark can be rekindled –

Question: About the question about dark messages in music and advertising, part of the answer was that some people on this planet are empty shells and have no spark of light inside them. I thought that every living thing on this planet had the divine spark within them that they can tap into at any time?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

As we explain elsewhere, everything in the world of form is created from God’s substance. God’s substance is also God’s consciousness, and therefore everything in the world of form has the seed of Gods consciousness within it. Even a stone has a certain level of consciousness, and that is why I made the statement:

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. (Luke 19:40)

There is, however, a fundamental difference between inanimate matter and a lifestream that descends from the spiritual realm. Inanimate matter can actually reach a state of consciousness whereby it becomes aware that it is consciously outpicturing the perfection of God, but it cannot do so of its own accord. This is described in more detail in the discourse by the Presence of Infinite Light and Mother Mary.

The Conscious You has a higher level of consciousness that makes it self-aware and gives it the potential to be a co-creator with God. This gives the Conscious You the option to consciously and willfully change its state of consciousness and sense of identity. In other words, matter can only outpicture the matrix put upon it by a self-conscious being, whereas the Conscious You can deliberately choose which matrix it will outpicture. The Conscious You has the free will to take advantage of its potential or to deny its potential. It can choose to be more or less than it was created to be. It can choose to raise or lower its state of consciousness.

This power to self-transcend (up or down) is the very core of the Conscious You, because it springs from the I AM Presence’s desire for self-transcendence—which springs from God’s desire for self-transcendence. This is what some esoteric teachings describe as a divine spark, and it is a gift from God that is not found in matter or even in animals. We might say that the divine spark is part of the talents given to the Conscious You by God, as I explained in my parable about the talents (Matthew 25:14).

When you look at your 4-fold vehicle – what is also called your four lower bodies, your energy field or by some teachings the soul – the spiritual fire is located at the center of your energy field, at the same height as your physical heart but in the center of your chest. It is located in the energy center, or chakra, behind the heart chakra, LINK often called the secret chamber of the heart. If the Conscious You chooses to exercise its free will in harmony with the laws of God, it’s divine spark can gradually be expanded until you become a self-luminous being and can ascend to the spiritual realm.

As explained elsewhere, the divine spark has three aspects, namely love, wisdom and power. In order for the threefold flame to grow, you must balance these three aspects. In other words, you must exercise your power to create and your desire to express love in a way that is balanced by the wisdom of the Christ mind.

If you become unbalanced or deliberately violate the laws of God, the size and intensity of the threefold flame will gradually diminish. If you spend many lifetimes violating the laws of God, especially if you consciously and willfully rebel against self-transcendence, you can eventually reach such a low level of consciousness that the threefold flame becomes a point-like spark rather than a differentiated flame. One might say that the flame has gone out.

What can now happen is that the Conscious You looks at its situation and takes its rebellion against growth to the next level, where it simply refuses to use the 4-fold vehicle. The Conscious You literally abandons the soul vehicle that it has created through its own choices. At that point, the 4-fold vehicle or soul has literally died in a spiritual sense, because it has no ability to self-transcend. This does not mean that the soul will instantly be erased in the second death, but it does mean that the soul does not have the inner light that enables it to walk the path of Christhood. The soul will still have a certain time left, and it can manage to live on, not only for the lifetime of the physical body but even beyond. The reason why the soul is allowed to continue to exist is that the Conscious You can still choose to come back to the soul and start raising it back up the spiral staircase.

A spiritually dead soul cannot receive energy from the I AM Presence, because that energy has to come through the Conscious You. So the dead soul can sustain itself only by absorbing energy from its surroundings and by spending the energy stored in its own energy field. One might say that before the soul was abandoned by the Conscious You, it was constantly receiving money directly from the mint. After it is abandoned, the soul can spend whatever money is left in its cosmic bank account and whatever it gathers in the marketplace, but it cannot receive new money from the mint. It can spend the talents it has buried in the ground, but it cannot multiply them and receive more. Therefore, when the soul has been abandoned, a person is, from a spiritual perspective, one of the living dead.

It is possible that the soul’s divine spark can be rekindled. Yet this cannot be done by the soul itself. It must be done by the Conscious You deciding to abandon its rebellion and take responsibility for its own growth. As it does so, it will receive sufficient light from the I AM Presence and the ascended masters to rekindle the threefold flame. In other words, even the Conscious You cannot rekindle the divine spark of its own power. This must be done through an outer Savior that has a sufficient level of Christ consciousness to rekindle the divine spark. This is one of the deeper spiritual meanings behind my saying:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

I came to give life to those souls who had lost their divine spark yet were willing to abandon the dualistic mind and start the path toward Christ consciousness. How can the divine spark be rekindled? The Conscious You must voluntarily choose to accept the spiritual light of the Christ consciousness directly from me or another spiritual teacher. This is what I chose to symbolize at the last supper, and I talked about it in the following passage:

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. (John, Chapter 6)

The meaning is that unless you are willing to absorb the Christ consciousness that I offer you, your divine spark cannot be rekindled, and therefore you have no life in you. If your divine spark has not gone out, partaking of the Christ consciousness is still the key to increasing that spark and thereby winning your individual Christhood that is the only key to eternal life.

Do we have unlimited time to evolve?

TOPICS: God will not violate free will, so a lifestream can stay in evil indefinitely – some beings have deliberately rebelled against growth – the law makes sure they only have a limited time to remain in this sense of self – you cannot return to God through doing evil –

Question: Some teachings say that all is meant to evolve. Therefore, a being cannot stay in evil forever. And since a being is not limited in the amount of time it has to evolve, there is no need for a second death that can erase the soul.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

If you care to step back and take a look at the teaching, you will see that it is contradictory. When you recognize that a lifestream has free will, you realize that it can choose to stay in evil for an indefinite period of time. God does not want a lifestream to stay in evil forever. However, unless God was to violate the Law of Free Will, how could he prevent a lifestream from staying in a limited sense of identity? God cannot force the lifestream to evolve, because doing so would be a violation of the Law of Free Will. God has given lifestreams free will, and no force created by God will violate that free will.

Yet the Law of Free Will also states that you only have a certain amount of time to self-transcend. If you refuse to grow, your opportunity will be lost through your own free-will choosing. This is the only way that God can, without violating their free will, prevent lifestreams from being trapped forever.

As explained elsewhere,  there are intelligent beings who have deliberately chosen to rebel against God’s laws. These beings have chosen to embody a state of consciousness that is the antithesis of God’s law of growth. As Mother Mary explains, the material universe is created out of two complementary forces, namely the expanding and the contracting force. Mother Mary also explains that the beings who chose to rebel against the law of growth have perverted the contracting force and turned it into the force that most people call evil. However, this is not an inevitable part of God’s design. Absolute evil is not the opposite polarity of God good, as I explain elsewhere.

What human beings call evil is a force that is relative. In other words, it is not in opposition to God but only in opposition to the concept of good created through the dualistic mind. I explained this in some detail elsewhere.

The basic belief expressed in the teaching you mention is a belief that is found in some New Age circles and in some eastern religions. The problem with this belief is that if you take it to its logical extreme, it is completely fatalistic. It paints a picture of a universe in which God has created both good and evil, and in which what human beings call good will ultimately triumph over what they call evil.

The consequence of his view is that nothing really matters. This is a complete denial of free will and the importance of self-transcendence through your conscious choices. In reality, this is the very lie that the serpent used to tempt Eve in the Garden of Eden. It is embedded in the saying, “Thou shall not surely die.” In other words, it doesn’t really matter that you violate God’s commands because nothing really bad can happen. God has created a world in which good and evil are simply complementary, so you can do whatever you want, and in the end everything will turn out just fine. This is a very subtle lie that is very persuasive, but it is nevertheless completely wrong. It is truly the way that seems right unto a human, but the ends thereof are the ways of death.

The reality of life is that God has given lifestreams free will. By using that free will correctly, a lifestream can keep self-transcending until it actually becomes an individual Creator, which has the same powers as the God who created this universe. However, the only way to ascend to that level is to constantly choose to let go of any limited sense of identity that causes you to see yourself as being separated from or less than the fullness of God.

The lie promoted by Lucifer, Satan and all other lifestreams who deliberately rebelled against God, is that you can still return home to God by doing evil. They portray evil as the opposite polarity of God-good, meaning that even if you choose to rebel against God’s laws, you will still ultimately arrive at the same place. This is not true, and one important reason is, as explained by Mother Mary, that in order to reach this state of Godhood, you must be willing to be the servant of all. When you rebel against God’s law, you are doing the opposite of serving all life.

It is true that if you rebel against the laws of God, you will ultimately return to God. The energies that make up your separate self will be returned to their original state through the ritual of the second death. Do you see the fundamental difference? Yes, you will inevitably return to your starting point. The only question is whether you will return to your starting point as more than you were when you were created. Only by becoming more than you were created to be, can you fulfill the law of growth. The essence of evil is the refusal to self-transcend and become more. This is a denial of love, which is the basic force that caused God to create the universe, as explained in the following discourse.

Denying the second death

TOPICS: Most religions and science talk about a beginning – what has a beginning can also have an end – Conscious You can be reabsorbed into the Presence – energies of the soul can be repolarized –

Question: Some teachings deny that the soul can be extinguished in the second death. They say it is made from energy and energy cannot be destroyed. Is that correct?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

You say that energy cannot be extinguished. Yet virtually all religions talk about a beginning, and even modern science affirms this in the theory of the Big Bang. If something had a beginning, it follows logically that it can also have an end.

I am aware that scientists have formulated the first law of thermodynamics, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. Yet that law was formulated by human beings who look at life from inside the material universe. The law is correct in that there is no force in the material universe which can create or destroy energy. However, God is the creator of all that ever existed, including energy. Because God created energy, God can also extinguish that energy.

As I explain elsewhere, the core of your being is the Conscious You, which is pure awareness. As such it is not even made from energy, and thus it cannot be destroyed by anything in the material world. However, the Conscious You is an extension of the I AM Presence, and it can be reabsorbed into the Presence. The Conscious You does not become immortal until it goes through the ascension, and until then it can indeed be extinguished.

As I also explain, what most people call the soul is a vehicle made from the energies of the four levels of the material universe. And precisely because the soul is made from this lower energy, it is possible that the soul can also be extinguished.

Another principle you might want to consider is the idea that energy can be transformed into other forms of energy. If you make a beautiful ice sculpture and then heat the water until it turns into steam, you have transformed the water into another state, and in that state there is nothing left of the former ice sculpture. Likewise, a soul can be said to be a complex pattern of energy waves. It is the particular form of the energy waves that gives the soul its characteristics. Yet if the energy that makes up the soul is transformed into a higher vibration, the characteristics that gave the soul its individuality are extinguished. Therefore, the soul, as it was, is truly gone.

The core of a lifestream is its sense of identity. In reality, the Conscious You is a spiritual being, but in this world, it is what it sees itself as being. That is why the Conscious You can choose to rebel against the laws of God, meaning the laws of growth and constant self-transcendence, and thereby refuse to grow and transcend. This is what causes the Conscious You to create a separate self and become so firmly trapped in a limited sense of identity that it remains in that identity indefinitely.

When God gave lifestreams free will, it became possible that they could rebel against the law of growth and create a limited sense of identity that was in complete opposition to their true identity as spiritual beings who are truly individualizations of God. A lifestream has a right to create such a limited sense of identity, but it does not have the right to remain in that sense of limitation forever.

If the Law of Free Will had stood alone, a lifestream could have remained in a limited state forever. This would have meant that the consciousness of God, which God lovingly allowed to be embedded in the lifestream, would have been trapped there forever. This would not have been fair, neither to God nor to the lifestream. Therefore, the Law of Free Will was balanced against the Law of Self-transcendence. This law states that a lifestream cannot remain in a specific sense of identity indefinitely.

If you cannot remain in a limited sense of identity indefinitely, it follows logically that there must come a time when the lifestream has to “choose this day whom you will serve,” meaning that it has to transcend its limited sense of identity or cease to be. This fact is what made it necessary to create the ritual of the second death, whereby the energies that are trapped in a limited sense of identity can be set free. When the lifestream goes through the second death, the Conscious You is absorbed back into the I AM Presence. The Presence can create a new Conscious You based on the experiences it has gained, but the original one is gone as if it never existed.

All of the beliefs and energies that make up the 4-fold vehicle – what most people call the soul – are raised to a higher vibration, whereby the matrix of the soul is erased. One might say that God is not actually extinguishing itself. It is repolarizing its energies to their original purity.

Basic teachings on the second death

TOPICS: The connection between consciousness and energy – Conscious You can create based on a sense of connection or a sense of separation – if it creates from separation, the Conscious You creates a downward spiral – it is possible but difficult to extricate oneself from this spiral – fallen lifestreams have built a sense of beings as gods, who can define right and wrong – at some point, their opportunity comes to an end – what happens in the second death –

Question: I was confused about the soul having the second death, being erased for good. Energy cannot be erased—a soul is energy, so can you explain this more clearly?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Everything that has form is created from God’s substance, or God’s energy; what we call the Ma-ter light. God has created a continuum of vibrations, and you live in one pocket, namely what is called the material universe, or the physical octave. The material universe is created from energies that originated in the spiritual realm. These energies are lowered in vibration until they vibrate within the spectrum of frequencies that make up the material universe. Lower energies cannot affect higher energies.

When scientists say – in the first law of thermodynamics – that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, they are technically correct, but there is more to it. God has created all energy, and God can certainly destroy it. However, a being in a particular realm – such as the material universe – cannot create or destroy energy within that realm or from a higher realm.

What we now need to add is that all form is created from the energy of the Ma-ter light. However, a given form is created by a mental image being superimposed upon the Ma-ter light until it outpictures the form. So we now see that form is created FROM energy, but it is created BY consciousness.

As we explain elsewhere, the Conscious You is created in the spiritual realm. It has no form, no material substance, and that is why it cannot be destroyed or affected by any of the lower vibrations of the material realm. That is why we say it is “pure awareness.” In other words, the Conscious You is consciousness that is meant to co-create by superimposing mental images upon energy.

So when the Conscious You descends, it will start using energy to co-create form. The question now is how it qualifies those energies. Ideally, the Conscious You will form mental images based on a sense of being connected to something greater than itself and a desire to raise up everything it encounters. These mental images will then rise and become part of its causal body. The energies qualified by such images will also rise, and part of them will be stored in the causal body (building a positive momentum) and part of them will be multiplied by the I AM Presence and sent back to you. This will then increase your creative powers.

Now, the Conscious You can also decide to enter into what we call the consciousness of separation and duality. In order to do this, it must first create or accept a self-image as a separate being who is disconnected from its source. Once the Conscious You steps into such a separate self, it will now create mental images based on its sense of separation rather than its former sense of being connected to the whole. These images cannot rise to the causal body.

Furthermore, all energies qualified by such images cannot rise, and thus they will not be multiplied by the I AM presence. That is why your lifestream becomes a closed system, and you can eventually run out of all creative energy. Your only option then is to take energy from the material realm (as opposed to receiving it from the spiritual realm), which means you must take it from other people. You become an energy vampire.

So the question now becomes where these lower energies go—as science is correct that once you step into the separate self you cannot destroy the energies qualified through that sense of self? And the answer is that they begin to accumulate in what we might call the separate self or the lower self. This part of your being is what many spiritual teachings call the soul, because they do not have the concept of the Conscious You and they do not differentiate between consciousness and energy.

So the point is that as long as the Conscious You sees itself as a separate being, it cannot leave behind that sense of self, nor can it leave behind or transmute the energies qualified through that self. Yet this will mean that the Conscious You cannot ascend when the physical body dies, and that necessitates reincarnation.

Take note that what many teachings call karma is a combination of the mental images created through the separate self and the energies qualified through that self. The energies can be requalified through a somewhat mechanical process, but transcending the mental images requires a conscious process of you deciding to dismiss your former images and the decisions that caused them.

You now need to realize that the Conscious You is an extension of the I AM Presence, which is an extension of an ascended master, which is an extension of an even higher being, which ultimately is an extension of the Creator. There is only one mind, one consciousness, and every self-aware being is an extension of it, an individualization of it. The purpose of this individualization is that every spark of the Creator’s mind has the potential to grow in self-awareness until it reaches the same level of consciousness as the Creator. You then become a Creator, who can create your own world of form.

We might say that the Creator gives you a part of its own mind on loan. You have free will, so you can do with that what you want, and the Creator even allows itself to be trapped in a lower form, if that is what you desire to co-create. However, the Creator does not want to forever have part of its mind trapped in a lower form.

What can happen to the Conscious You is that it gradually becomes completely identified with the separate self it has created. Thus, it creates a downward spiral that becomes self-reinforcing. The Conscious You creates more and more mental images based on separation, and as long as it is looking at life through those images, the Conscious You is absolutely convinced that it is a separate being. In other words, the Conscious You sees through so many layers of illusions, that it can never really question its basic world view. Nor can it extricate itself from the separate self and experience itself as pure awareness. In the here and now, the Conscious You is who it thinks it is, who it sees itself as being.

The Conscious You also generates more and more lower energies, and they exert a magnetic pull on the separate self. So as long as the Conscious You identifies with the separate self, it will also feel this pull, and this will make it seem even more convincing that you are a separate being. It will also make it more difficult to experience pure awareness. The Conscious You is literally in a maelstrom of lower energies that pull it further and further down and also ties it to the collective downward spirals created on this planet by other lifestreams trapped in separation. Once such a downward spiral reaches a critical point, it becomes self-reinforcing because the Conscious You cannot stop it as long as it still identifies with the separate self.

As I said, the Conscious You is pure awareness, and it cannot be changed by any self or any energies in the material realm. What is changed is not the Conscious You  but its self-image. So the Conscious You can at any time choose to pull itself out of its separate self and again experience itself as pure awareness. Once it has this experience, it has a frame of reference for gradually deconstructing the separate self. However, the catch is that once the Conscious You has been trapped in a downward spiral, it can only extricate itself by admitting that the entire separate self it has created is an illusion. And if its separate self is based on pride, this can be very difficult to do, especially if the Conscious You has come to believe that it has created a benign and very sophisticated self—perhaps even a self that knows better than God how the universe should be run.

We have in other places talked about the effect of the duality consciousness, which makes you think that you have the capacity to be as a god on earth and define what is right and wrong based on your own vision. Thus, once you define a separate self as if it really has ultimate truth, it is difficult to extricate yourself from it, because you will have to admit that everything you have created – including the sense of superiority you have built – is a complete illusion that has nothing to do with the reality of God.

In our teaching about the spheres, you will see that some beings fell in a previous sphere, and they have continued to fall into this latest sphere. Thus, they have a very long momentum on denial and they are absolutely convinced that one day they will prove God wrong and be proven right. The Creator truly is very patient with such lifestreams, but as everything else in the world of form, there must come an end to their opportunity. And this is what we call the second death, in order to distinguish it from the “first” death, which is when the physical body dies and the lifestream reincarnates. The second death – which could be called the final death – is when the opportunity to reincarnate anywhere in the world of form comes to a permanent end.

In the second death, all of the misqualified energies created by that lifestream will be requalified and returned to their pure form. Yet they will be returned to the universal reservoir of energy and will not go to the causal body around the I AM Presence. The mental images created through the separate self will be erased. Yet this will happen through a special process. Instead of the Conscious You looking at the images and deciding to replace the decision behind them, the I AM Presence now does this. This means the learning process happens at the level of the Presence, so that some of the experiences can still be stored in the causal body.

In terms of the Conscious You, it is completely absorbed back into the I AM Presence, as if it had never existed. The I AM Presence can choose to send down another Conscious You based on its experiences, but it will not be the exact same as the previous one. Thus, we might say that in the second death, a specific lifestream is indeed erased or lost.

Are we immortal souls?

TOPICS: You are not immortal until you qualify for your ascension – to qualify, you must let the separate self die and attain Christhood – though the ascension, you become immortal –

Question: Are Human beings Immortal Souls?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

As explain elsewhere, the permanent part of your being is the spiritual self, or the I AM Presence. This is the part of you that was created by your spiritual parents, and it abides in the spiritual realm where it is above mortality.

What most people call the soul is the 4-fold vehicle that the Conscious You creates in order to express itself in the material realm and serve as a co-creator with God in that realm. As I explain in another answer,  the 4-fold vehicle cannot become immortal—you need to let it die gradually, until you attain Christhood and thereby come to accept that the Conscious You is an extension of the I AM Presence. With full Christhood, the Conscious You can ascend, and then it becomes immortal.

The lifestream now becomes a member of the ascended masters, and we are all immortal beings. This is the potential that every lifestream has, but the lifestream must win its ascension through making the choices that lead to Christ consciousness, instead of making choices that cause it to be trapped in a lower sense of identity.

The Conscious You has free will and therefore it has the potential to create its own sense of identity and its own sense of reality. This does not mean that the Conscious You can create a permanent reality that is outside of God. But it does mean that the Conscious You can create a sense of identity and reality that it believes is real and permanent. As long as the Conscious You clings to this imperfect sense of identity, and sees itself as separated from God or even in opposition to God, it cannot win its immortality.

Therefore, the vast majority of people on this planet are not immortal. I wish I could say that they were on the way to becoming immortal, but unfortunately that is far from being the case, as explained elsewhere. When I came to earth 2,000 years ago, it was to demonstrate that there is a viable path that leads to Christ consciousness and thereby to immortality. I came to set an example that all people could follow. Unfortunately, the very religion that claims to represent me on earth has turned me into an idol, put me on a pedestal and declared it to be blasphemy if anyone claims that they can follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

This is a perfect example of the kind of false reality and identity that human beings can create. Obviously, it is erroneous, and I can assure you that Christianity in its present form is quite mortal and simply cannot survive in the long run. It will quickly begin to deteriorate in this new millennium, unless it goes through a spiritual resurrection and is realigned with my true teachings.

When many people die in catastrophes

TOPICS: Four levels of the material realm – a lifestream goes where it has unresolved substance and beliefs – retreats of the masters –

Question: How does God deal with masses of souls dying in catastrophes, i.e. World Trade Center deaths, war, plane crashes, etc. Are these souls held in limbo for some time to adjust or are they given immediate attention by God, angels, etc.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

The material universe is simply the tip of the iceberg, and as you know, an iceberg has most of his mass under the surface of the water. Below what is the conscious awareness of most people, there are other realms. As explained elsewhere, there are four levels of the material realm, corresponding to four levels of your mind.

As I explain in more detail in another answer,  most people have certain beliefs and energies accumulated in their higher “bodies,” meaning the emotional, mental and identity levels. So where a specific person goes after the death of the physical body will depend on where it has the most unresolved substance:

  • A lifestream with many unresolved emotional beliefs and energies will be magnetized to the emotional realm.
  • A lifestream who is more intellectual will go to the mental realm.
  • A lifestream who is more spiritual will go to the identity realm.

The three other realms are not defined by the same parameters that defined the material realm. Thus the other realms can easily receive all of the lifestreams living on earth.

When a disaster happens, there is no need for lifestreams to be held in limbo. There are plenty of angels in the spiritual realm who can assist lifestreams and help them move on.

Some lifestreams do indeed go to as sort of holding area after death but that is because of their own choosing. These lifestreams feel they are not ready to move on and have a more direct contact with spiritual beings. Therefore they are allowed to remain in a stage where they can remain alone and reflect on their experience. Such lifestreams could heal much faster if they would allow us to help them, but once again we do not impose ourselves on the free will of the lifestream.

There is also a realm called Devachan,  and it serves to help more spiritual lifestreams move beyond unfulfilled wishes. Many people are also able to go to the retreats that we of the ascended masters have in the identity or etheric realm. Here they receive instructions and healing that prepares them for their next embodiment.

Why cremation is important

TOPICS: Not needed to put the body on ice before cremation – lifestream feel no pain from body after death – masters recommend cremation – easier for people to leave body behind – the physical body is not resurrected –

Question: When a person goes through the cremation process, is it necessary to put the body on ice beforehand, and does the lifestream/body feel any discomfort or pain in being cremated?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

There is no spiritual reason to put the body on ice before cremation. Obviously, there is a practical reason to do this. The lifestream separates from the body shortly after death, usually immediately after death, and therefore it feels no pain or discomfort from whatever happens to the physical body. So the lifestream does not feel any kind of discomfort from the cremation of the body.

However, let me state very clearly that we of the ascended masters strongly recommend that all bodies are cremated. The reason being that it decreases the risk that the lifestream will remain emotionally attached to the body and be unable to move into the light. Obviously, for spiritually-inclined lifestreams this is not a problem. Yet for lifestreams who are emotionally attached to the body, it is less likely that they will remain attached to the body after the body is cremated. Seeing the body cremated gives the lifestream a sense of finality and closure, a sense that it cannot go back and therefore it is time to move on.

There are certain cultures or religions who believe in the actual resurrection of a particular physical body, and this can cause lifestreams to remain attached to that body. This can make it more difficult for these lifestreams to enter the light and the spiritual realm. One example of this is the ancient Egyptian culture, in which bodies were mummified. Such a practice is strongly discouraged by the ascended masters.

Cremation, therefore, is a process which is important from a spiritual perspective. Obviously, it also has some important practical advantages, and therefore it would be highly beneficial if every deceased body was cremated.

Karma does not predestine everything, there is still room for individual choice

TOPICS: Overall force that directs human affairs, but this is not individual destiny – individual karma is a strong influence – karma does not predestine everything – it is possible to rise above your karma – people can choose to break old patterns – terrorist attacks are not predestined nor created by God – Spain’s karmic vulnerability – if everything was the result of karma, how could people ever be free? – raising your consciousness can prevent you from reaping your karma – always a way to improve life –

Question: Dear Jesus, today I received a question from my 17 year old daughter. It concerned the terrorist attack in Madrid and how some people got saved by Destiny, by missing the train and so on. She asked me if that was an act of Destiny and I answered that it was.

In that case, would being on that train and getting mutilated for life or die also be an act of Destiny? I answered that it probably was.
She then concluded that the bomb attacks must also be the workings of Destiny and maybe we could not blame the terrorists for carrying out that part of Destiny. I found it hard to agree with that but her reasoning was not lacking logic. I explained the dark forces and the consequences of free will but it did not really convince her. Could you please shed some Light on this issue.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

A very important question, which I wish I could have discussed in a context that did not involve such a horrendous loss of life.

Your daughter’s reasoning has a certain logic, and it is understandable that she feels this way. In fact, throughout the ages many people have accepted this form of logic. Yet I must tell you that it is not the highest understanding of the issue.

Let us first define what we mean, when we say destiny. The normal meaning of the word is that there is some force in the universe which predetermines certain events. There is a certain progression in the spiritual life of humankind. We of the ascended masters will release certain spiritual energies in order to gently force people to come up higher in consciousness. So one might say that there is a force of destiny which is seeking to help humankind rise to a higher level of consciousness. As part of that growth process, certain old patterns and beliefs must be shattered. Nevertheless, this force of destiny deals with the overall picture of what is happening in society. It does not in any way predestine people’s behavior or their responses to the situations they encounter in life. In other words, within the big picture of this form of destiny, there is much room for the free-will choices made by individuals.

As I explain on this website, every aspect of life on this planet is influenced by people’s choices, and therefore in one sense one might say that nothing is predetermined. However, people’s choices can be influenced by various factors. You cannot correctly understand the concept of predestination without considering the reality of karma and reincarnation, as I explain elsewhere. When you do understand karma, you realize that many of the situations that happen in life are the results of the choices people made in past lifetimes. These choices created an energy impulse that was sent out into the universe, and when that impulse comes back to people in a future lifetime, it can cause various calamities.

There is no question that in a situation like these terrorist bombings, karma is a very important factor. There are people who escaped these bombings because it was not their karma to be killed or maimed in this incident. There are people who did not escape because it was their karma from a past life to experience what they experienced in this incident. It is also true that karma is a strong influence on the terrorists who decided to commit these acts. They were conditioned to commit these acts through the karma they have created in past lives. However, it is very important to understand that karma does not predestine everything.

One of the reasons karma and reincarnation has been rejected by many people in the West is that most western people correctly realize that not everything in life is predetermined. In the East, most people do believe in karma and reincarnation but many of them have taken these teachings into an unfortunate extreme. Many eastern people do indeed believe that anything that happens to you is predetermined by your karma from past lives.

The unfortunate effect of this is that it is very easy to adopt a fatalistic attitude toward life. What is the point in trying to improve life if everything is predetermined by past karma? This is precisely the attitude many western people cannot accept, because they feel deeply that it is possible for people to improve life and change their destiny. Therefore, they feel that it does matter what you do in this life. This is a correct feeling but unfortunately it causes many western people to throw the baby out with the bath water and reject the entire concept of karma and reincarnation.

The reality is that karma will never override a person’s free will. Your karma from a past life will create certain conditions that will predispose you to make certain choices. For example, the terrorists who plotted these bombings have for many lifetimes been enveloped in the consciousness that the ends can justify the means. This has made it likely that they would be attracted to an extremist cause in this lifetime and that they would use that cause as an excuse for carrying on the patterns and momentums that they have been following for many lifetimes. Yet there is no guarantee that people will choose to continue such momentums. It is always possible that people can choose to break the pattern and take their life in a new direction. The determination to break old patterns is indeed the hope for any improvement in people’s personal lives and in society.

As I explain throughout this website, everything in this world revolves around the free will of human beings. God has given people free will, and therefore it has given up the control of every little detail that happens on earth. In other words, God had no control over the situation that led up to the terrorist bombings in Madrid. God did not want this to happen, and such attacks serve no purpose in God’s overall plan.

This situation was the outplaying of a combination of karma from past lives and the free-will choices made by people in this life. As I said, the karma from past lives can predispose a person to make certain choices. Yet the choices are not predetermined. People will always make a choice, and therefore they always have the option to break past momentums and take their life in a new, positive direction. They can always chose the high road over the low road. However, if people do not break past momentums, then karmic situations will inevitably outplay themselves, and this is what you saw in Madrid.

Obviously, this situation was precipitated by the choices made by the terrorists. Yet you cannot ignore the fact that the Spanish people also made certain choices that led to this situation. One choice is to allow themselves to be in a state of consciousness where they feel that they do not have to change their way of life in order to create a more just situation on a planetary scale. This is the same state of consciousness that led to the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001, as I comment on elsewhere.

In terms of the situation in Spain, let me say that there was indeed a national karma that contributed to this situation and made the nation vulnerable. That karma was built over many centuries through such events as the Inquisition, the treatment of Muslims in Spain, the conquest of the Americas and other violent events. However, this terrorist attack has in no way done away with the nation’s karma. There is indeed much more to come, and therefore it is extremely important that spiritual people in Spain make an effort to mitigate the return of karma that will still come upon their nation. The Violet Flame and Mother Mary’s rosaries are the most efficient tools for accomplishing this task.

Even though karma can be very exact, down to minute details, it is important to remember that karma does not predetermine everything. In every situation in life, there is room to change the outcome of events. For example, people always have the choice to raise their consciousness and tune in to their Christ selves. There were indeed people in Madrid who received inner warnings that caused them to miss the trains. There were also people who made the choice to go through life sleepwalking and without seeking to attune to their Christ selves. Such people did not receive warnings, and therefore they were killed or maimed in the attacks. In some cases, it was not people’s karma that they should be killed. However, because they did not make the choice to attune to their Christ selves they could not be warned. In other words, the fact that they were killed in this attack was not the result of choices made in a past lifetime. It was the result of choices made in this lifetime.

My point here is to help you understand that nothing is set in stone, nothing is predetermined. There is a certain force in the universe which seeks to help people grow. This force sets certain parameters for what happens on planet earth. There is also the force of karma, which sets much more detailed parameters of what is likely to happen in a person’s life. Yet even the law of karma does not predetermine every aspect of a person’s life. There is still plenty of room for free-will decisions that can change the course of a person’s lives and thereby avoid or mitigate certain karmic conditions. In other words, people’s choices can either mitigate calamities or bring such calamities upon themselves.

If everything was predetermined by your karma from past lives, there would be no room to make new karma or to mitigate karma. In that case, how could a person ever escape the wheel of rebirth? My point is that it is extremely important for people not to fall into a fatalistic state of mind. It is not correct to reason that nothing really matters because everything is predetermined, so there is no point in even trying to change your life or your society.

Everything is subject to the free will of human beings, and therefore everything matters. Every choice you make will either improve your life or make it worse. Doing nothing is likely to make life worse. I can assure you that it is quite possible for people to escape the calamities that are mandated by karmic conditions. God truly has no desire to punish human beings. So if people will learn their lessons and raise their state of consciousness, the ascended masters will often hold back certain karmic conditions that could have caused various calamities.

In fact, had we not done so, humankind would long ago have destroyed itself through the use of nuclear weapons. So the very fact that you are alive today proves that we are quite willing to remove people’s karma—if they are willing to raise their consciousness. That is indeed one of the most important messages I seek to get across on this website. One might say that destiny is an unstoppable force that drives life to be forever moving. However, people’s choices can determine the direction of the force of destiny, both on an individual and on a planetary scale.

So you might explain to your daughter that there was a certain force of karma that set up the situation that lead to the terrorist bombings. Yet if the Spanish people had made better choices, the bombings would have been averted. Therefore, the worst possible response to this situation would be to become passive or pacifistic and do nothing to prevent future calamities. For evil to triumph, it only takes that good people do nothing. Another unfortunate reaction would be to become militant and seek to fight fire with fire. The best possible response would be to become militant in a spiritual way and use spiritual fire to consume the karmic conditions that make the nation vulnerable to future calamities. Another important tool would be to enlighten people to the need to change course and become a more spiritual nation. This would include moving out of the Spanish nation’s Catholic past.

The concept of transmigration

TOPICS: Most people descended from above – some have evolved from below –

Question: What is the truth about transmigration? Has the soul to incarnate first in the plant and animal kingdom then it reaches a higher level then incarnates in a human body? Or the soul incarnates straight from the spiritual realm into a human body?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

The answer, my beloved, is all of the above. In the sense that the vast majority of people embodying on earth have descended directly from the spiritual realm into a human body, without going through the lower realms.

But as Maitreya explains in his book there is also an evolutionary force that brings all energy back towards its source. So there are people on earth today who have evolved from the lower realms including from the animal kingdom into the elemental kingdom and then into human beings. But again, the vast majority of lifestreams have descended from the spiritual realm.

You cannot balance karma by suffering or enduring

TOPICS: Must understand how your past affects your present – karma not fatalism – karma is not punishment but opportunity – make better decisions – you create your own suffering –

Question: I would seek a greater understanding from Jesus, regarding the karma my wife has taken on as she battles the mental illness described as bipolar or more formally known as Manic-Depression. I assume this karma involves me as well, for I have chosen to stay by her side through some very difficult times…. Many times feeling so helpless that I had no recourse but to turn my feelings over to God, and have faith that I would be given a higher understanding to the whys of this sometimes crippling illness has come into our family’s lives… we are tired…mentally, and emotionally… but thank God for the spirit…but there is something we are not getting here…I feel it but do not know what…

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

As I explain elsewhere, it is important for all modern spiritual seekers to understand the reality of reincarnation and karma. If you do not understand how your past affects your present, how can you overcome the past and build a better future? Yet it is equally important to have the correct understanding of karma, and it is especially important to avoid the trap of associating karma with inevitability or with punishment.

Some people have combined the fatalistic eastern teachings about karma with the idea of sacrifice or suffering as a payment for sin. Thus, they reason that if something bad happens to them, the reason must be bad karma made in a past life. And if they only endure the suffering, they will pay back their karma and will eventually be free. This is a dangerous fallacy that has caused many sincere spiritual seekers to prolong their suffering needlessly.

Everything in this universe has one purpose and one purpose only, namely to help you grow. God has no desire to punish you for your past mistakes, and thus it is extremely important to realize the truth that karma is not a form of punishment. Karma is an opportunity to grow, and it should always be approached as such. When you think about it, why would a loving God want you to suffer and how could suffering compensate for the mistakes of the past? God only wants you to leave behind those mistakes, so that you are free to come home to his kingdom.

You made karma by making imperfect decisions, and those decisions were the result of a limited state of consciousness. The decisions generated a certain amount of misqualified energy, and in order to restore balance to the universe the energy must be requalified to its original purity. Before you can permanently ascend to the spiritual realm, you must requalify all misqualified energy you have generated in all of your lifetimes. You must also resolve all dualistic beliefs in your psychology—the beliefs that cause you to misqualify energy. Until that happens, your karma – which incorporates both misqualified energy and unresolved psychology – will act as a rubber band that pulls your lifestream back to earth.

The return of a portion of your karma, therefore, represents an opportunity for your lifestream to be free. This has two elements, namely that you must transcend the state of consciousness that caused you to make the karma and that you must purify the energy.

Overcoming your former state of consciousness is often the most difficult because many people tend to hide from their responsibility to truly change themselves from within. They often focus on the mote in the eye of another rather than seeking the beam in their own eye. In fact, if people have transcended their former state of consciousness before the karma comes back, it will be very easy for them to purify the energy and avoid disruptions in their lives. One might even say that it is only when a person has shown no signs of working on transcending a given state of consciousness that the karma is returned with full force. This is done as a wake-up call to lifestreams who could not be reached in any other way. The returning karma is a last-ditch effort to awaken the lifestream to the need to work on a given flaw in the psyche.

Purifying the energy is a mechanical process that is not difficult to achieve, especially when you have transcended the former state of consciousness and therefore do not misqualify more energy. To transform impure energy, you simply need to invoke high-frequency spiritual energy from above so that it can raise the vibration of the impure energy. This can be done through spiritual rituals, as explained on the Transcendence Toolbox website. LINK Yet much can also be achieved by responding to the returning karma with a positive attitude, approaching it as an opportunity to grow and set things right.

Do you now see the potential for people making things harder for themselves? If they are not willing to transcend their former state of consciousness – and especially if they do not approach life as an opportunity for growth – it is likely that they will not see the returning karma as a wake-up call. They will resist the karma, perhaps seeing it as a punishment or in other ways reacting negatively, which easily becomes an excuse for not looking into their own psychology.

This will cause them so suffer, and by doing so they misqualify energy, which generates more karma and does nothing to purify the energy of the returning karma. Do you see my point? Two wrongs do not make a right. You cannot balance past karma by suffering as a result of the return of that karma. Doing so will only create more karma, which can become a self-reinforcing spiral that takes you further and further away from Christ consciousness.

My point for taking you through this line of reasoning is to show you that it is important never to reason that you have to endure a certain situation for an indefinite period of time because you have karma with a person. It is equally important to avoid the trap of thinking that by suffering you will eventually pay back your karma and be free to move on. On the contrary, you will only trap yourself more firmly in a limited state, often making more karma with the person with whom you have a karmic relationship. The purpose of any situation is to help you grow by transcending yourself. Therefore, do not seek to endure; seek to learn your lesson and move on in consciousness. There is no point in enduring a situation. The whole point is to learn your lesson.

Overcoming karma and psychology so you can fulfill your divine plan

TOPICS: Part of your mission is to balance karma – God wants you to rise above your past – karma is a stepping stone to freedom – you always did the best you could – your positive desire to take embodiment – you chose to embody in your present circumstances in order to grow – stop avoiding your karma and psychology

Question: Dear Jesus, Your answer on the question of marriage and divorce really resonated with me. Deep down most of us know these facts and it is only a matter of applying this knowledge in moments of crisis, which are the true moments of growth. For me, the next best teachers have been my children and I thank them for that.

My question is about karma, spiritual growth and the purpose of one’s return to this material plane. Is it possible to complete one’s mission on this plane, without solving most of one’s karma and clear away the blocks in one’s own psychology first? How can one become clearly aware about one’s true mission when so much information from so many previous existences have left their imprint on one’s subconscious mind?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Concerning the first question, the answer is “No!” The reason being that part of your mission in life is to balance your karma and overcome the blocks in your psychology. I understand that because of the heavy emphasis on sin in the Christian culture and because of the negative connotations of karma in many New Age and eastern cultures, many people look upon karma as being only a burden. Yet in reality your karma truly is not God’s punishment. Your karma is the result of choices you made in the past, and as I attempt to explain throughout this website, there really is no reason to feel guilty or fearful about your past choices.

Once you acknowledge that you have made choices that were not the highest possible – and then abandon the consciousness that caused you to make those choices – you have no reason to feel guilty. God does not want you to feel burdened by your past. God wants you to rise above your past so you can enter his kingdom—the quicker the better.

In reality, the choices you made in the past were expressions of the consciousness you had at the time. Therefore, one can say that you always did the best you could given your state of consciousness at the time. You have now transcended that state of consciousness. Therefore, there is no point in holding on to the past or feeling guilty about it.

Obviously, your past choices generated certain consequences, yet even that is not necessarily a negative. The positive way to look at your karma is that it is simply a stepping stone to your spiritual freedom. In the past, you made certain choices that created certain consequences. You made those choices because your lifestream needed to learn from seeing the consequences of those choices. Overcoming those consequences is the key to your lifestream’s liberation. And you do that by balancing the karma and overcoming the psychological blocks, whereby you can finally rise above your former state of consciousness.

In other words, it is important for spiritual seekers to look beyond the outer consciousness and tune in to the true desires of the lifestream. For a spiritually mature lifestream, karma is not seen as a burden or punishment. Karma is seen as an opportunity. The mature lifestream truly wants to overcome its karma because it knows that by facing its karma head-on and balancing that karma, it will win its immortality.

It is exactly the same with your psychological blocks. They are the results of choices you made in the past, and those choices were based on the state of consciousness you had at the time and the circumstances you faced at the time. So again, they were the best choices you could have made given your circumstances. Therefore, your lifestream truly wants to resolve the psychological blocks because doing so is the key to your immortality and spiritual freedom.

Your lifestream also knows that only by balancing its karma and overcoming its psychological blocks will it be able to fulfill the spiritual mission for which it came to earth in the first place. Only by removing the limitations that prevent you from being who you truly are, as above so below, will you be able to give the gift to planet earth that your I AM Presence desired to give and which caused it to send your lifestream to this planet.

Your I AM Presence had a positive desire of wanting to bring its unique spiritual flame into manifestation on earth, thereby making a contribution to the manifestation of God’s kingdom on this planet. Your lifestream simply cannot be fulfilled, and it cannot leave this planet, until that original desire has come to fruition. Yet for that to happen, your lifestream must balance all karma it has made on earth, and it must overcome all psychological blocks that prevents your lifestream from expressing your true spiritual flame.

So truly, it is important for a spiritually mature lifestream to adopt a positive attitude towards the two tasks of balancing karma and resolving psychology. It is not something that should be averted or postponed. It is something that should be met head-on and dealt with decisively so you can move on with your greatest love.

In fact, many spiritually mature lifestreams deliberately choose to embody in circumstances that will give them the maximum opportunity to balance karma as quickly as possible and that will force them to confront their psychological blocks so they can deal with them as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, once a lifestream is in a difficult situation, the lifestream sometimes forgets its original desire for choosing that situation.

Therefore, many spiritual people seek to avoid dealing with their karma and psychology. This is unfortunate, and it is important for spiritual seekers to overcome all tendency to postpone these tasks. Meet them head-on, and get them out of the way quickly so that you can get to the more fulfilling part of your spiritual mission.

Concerning the second question, this is not nearly as difficult as one might think. It is true that past lives have left certain imprints on your subconscious mind and your lifestream. Yet they have not limited your Christ self and I AM Presence. So by following the path to personal Christhood and expanding your conscious contact with your Christ self and I AM Presence, you can quickly learn to reach beyond the wounds or imprints from past lives. This will allow you to tune in to your true mission, which will make it far easier for you to resolve your psychology and karma so you can get on with that mission.

Is karma a false teaching?

TOPICS: You can indeed choose to change your sense of identity at any moment – until you do so consciously, your choices in the now will be affected by your sense of identity – you cannot walk away from misqualified energy – denying karma springs from an unwillingness to take responsibility for your choices – this means you cannot change those choices – the ego always denies accountability, and this shuts off the flow of love – only when you choose based on love will you avoid making karma – for some people a fear-based teaching is necessary for them to turn around – in today’s age, more and more people respond to a love-based teaching –

Question: Some teachings say that karma is just an illusion, because we create in the NOW. You are always free to create anything you want in the now, without being restricted by what you did in a past life. That is why we are kept from consciously remembering your past lives. Some even say that teaching son karma and the second death are fear-based and thus not from the real God, who is a God of unconditional love. They say all teachings that talk about an end to opportunity are false.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

This is a misunderstanding of the mechanical aspects of the material universe. What you do create in the now is your sense of identity, and you do recreate that every waking moment. Therefore, you can – theoretically – choose to change your sense of identity at any moment. However, even that can be difficult because your past choices have created psychological wounds in your 4-fold vehicle or soul. These wounds are caused by decisions you made, and until you consciously undo those decisions and replace them with better decisions, you will not be free of those choices. Therefore, you cannot change the sense of identity based on those choices.

The law of karma simply describes the mechanical aspects of how the material universe works. Your lifestream can survive only because it receives a stream of spiritual energy from your I AM Presence. If you qualify that energy with a vibration that is above a certain frequency, above a certain mark, the energy will become your treasure laid up in heaven. It will return to you multiplied, as explained in my parable about the talents.

If you qualify the energy below the critical mark, you miss the mark and commit what Christians have traditionally called a sin. The misqualified energy will be stored in your personal energy field and in the energy field of planet earth. Therefore, when you return to your next embodiment, you will be affected by that energy. You cannot permanently ascend to the spiritual realm until you have requalified all energy that you misqualified while in embodiment on earth. Likewise, you create a separate self by accepting dualistic illusions, and these will continue to affect your sense of self until you consciously transcend them. So it is simply not true that you can, at any moment, choose to walk away from your karma or any other aspect of your past.

The choices you made in your past have set the stage for who you are right now—the sense of self you have. You cannot simply choose to be someone else without going back and replacing the limiting decisions that you made in the past. And you will inevitably make choices in the now based on your sense of self.

I do not quite understand how one can recognize the reality of past lives but at the same time deny that your past lives have any influence on your present life. I think that if you look at the logical consequences of this view of reincarnation, you will see that is not quite consistent.

In fact, you might discover that is springs mainly from an unwillingness to take responsibility for your life and recognize that you can only improve your present and future circumstances by undoing the imperfect choices you made in the past. Most people who are unwilling to take responsibility for their lives choose to outright deny the reality of reincarnation. Yet some people have managed to create a new version of the concept of reincarnation, which allows them to recognize that they have had past lives but at the same time deny that those past lives have any influence on the present. I cannot quite follow the logic of this belief in reincarnation without karma. How can you have your cake and eat it too? How can you change a previous choice unless you recognize that you were the one who made that choice?

I am aware that many people have an attachment to avoiding the acceptance of personal responsibility, and this can cause them to deny karma. It would be beneficial for them to consider why they have this emotional attachment, and I think people would find that the cause is that a part of them does not want to acknowledge the reality of life, namely that you do not have forever to transcend your present sense of identity. This it the human ego, which does not want you to realize that your actions have consequences and because of that there will eventually come an end to opportunity. The ego does not want to acknowledge any finality because that would mean the death of the ego. The ego wants you to believe that you can keep doing what you are doing forever, that nothing you do will have negative consequences and that you can keep postponing the day when you choose whom you will serve. If you can identify the ego, that enemy within, and see that it is not truly a part of your lifestream, you can make tremendous progress.

You will then find that a new world of growth opportunities will open, and you will discover the true meaning of unconditional love. The concept of love that some teachings present is that nothing really matters because in the end everything will be fine. The truth about unconditional love is that everything matters, because every situation is an opportunity to grow – meaning that you let love flow – or to shut off the flow of love through you. It is true that many religious people, including many Christians, have used fear as an excuse for shutting off the flow of love through them. Yet many people have also used the fatalistic beliefs to put themselves into a state of spiritual indifference, which also shuts off the flow of love.

Divine love is unconditional, which does not mean that it accepts everything – good and evil – as being equally valid. When a human being allows the flow of unconditional love through him or her, that person has the discernment to see what is of God and what is not of God. The person uses that discernment to never accept a limited sense of identity and to never let any of the conditions in this world become an excuse for shutting off the flow of love. You express love no matter what conditions you face, but you never affirm any worldly condition as permanent or ultimately real. Therefore, your love can easily be the tough love that challenges someone to come up higher—as you saw me challenge the scribes and Pharisees.

The only right choice is to respond to every situation with love—as I told people 2,000 years ago. Any choice that is not made from love is what Christians call a sin. Unfortunately, most people on earth have chosen otherwise. Because of that, they have become trapped in a state of consciousness that makes it very difficult for them to respond to life with love.

The stark reality is that a substantial number of people are trapped in a downward spiral that only leads them further away from love. Such lifestreams cannot simply be turned around by a teaching on love, as explained elsewhere. In many cases they can be turned around only through a message that clearly spells out the consequences of what will happen if they keep going in the same direction. And for many lifestreams on this planet, their opportunity to turn themselves around is quickly coming to an end. If they do not turn around and start an upward spiral, they will go through the second death. If they do turn around and start walking the path of Christhood, their time can be extended even beyond their original allotment. God has great mercy on lifestreams who show a sincere desire to come home.

One of the dilemmas we face as spiritual teachers is that many lifestreams on earth are unreachable with a love-based spiritual message. They are so trapped in a fear-based state of mind that they can be reached only through a message that appeals to their fears. It is a sad fact that the concept of Hell has been necessary to turn some lifestreams around. Such lifestreams responded only when their fear of Hell outweighed the immediate advantages of continuing with their current actions.

Fortunately, we are today moving into an age in which more and more people respond to a love-based spiritual teaching, which is generally what you find on this website. However, it is still necessary to recognize that many people have been deeply affected by a fear-based message. And since one of my goals for my website LINK is to help people become free of the fear-based doctrines they have been given by orthodox Christianity, I will gladly comment on such beliefs when people ask.

Reincarnation as animals and nature spirits

TOPICS: Some animals have a nature spirit – animals have a group soul – some pets have a nature spirit that grows by interacting with humans – animals are lower life forms than humans – protect animals but do not become fanatical – nature spirits progress by serving humans – no excuse for cruelty – invoke light to protect animals

Question: Master Jesus: Do people inhabit animals after death? What about angels, is it possible that angels are disguised as animals sometimes? I have always loved animals all my life. Dogs, especially keep coming to my house. My husband, who is an avid hunter, is always wanting to get rid of them, even by cruel means. I feel I can’t successfully oppose his actions and would like to provide a sanctuary of sorts for animals. Is it correct to pray and invoke the presence of the Archangel Michael and his angels to protect the animals that wander onto our property.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

As explained elsewhere, people do not generally reincarnate as animals. Angels likewise do not generally disguise themselves as animals. However, what you are sensing is that many animals can indeed have a spiritual being, a spiritual presence, within them.

Many modern people look back at the fairy tales of the past as being just fantasy. It is, however, a fact that many people in ancient times had opened their spiritual sight and could see what has been called nature spirits or elemental beings. These are beings that serve to uphold and maintain the balance of nature. As everything on this earth, these nature spirits can be burdened by negative energy that is generated by human beings. When the burden becomes too great, you see the outpicturing of various natural disasters, such as violent storms, tornadoes or earthquakes.

As I explain throughout this website, everything is created from the consciousness of God, and therefore everything has a form of consciousness. Even a rock has a certain rudimentary form of consciousness. Living beings have a higher form of consciousness.
An animal does not have an individual soul as a human being does. However, many animals do have a nature spirit abiding within them, and this is what gives them a greater personality than other animals. This can especially be true for a pet which is greatly loved by a human being. When you love a pet, you can either attract a nature spirit to abide in that pet, or if the animal already has a nature spirit, you can enhance the spiritual growth of that spirit. Obviously, by mistreating the animal you can also hinder the spiritual growth of the spirit.

Many people have a great love for animals because they are spiritually sensitive and sense that some animals do indeed have a nature spirit. This is obviously the case for you. However, it is important to develop discernment.

Not all animals have a nature spirit. And even if they do, the nature and purpose of these spirits is to serve human beings. You might recall the following statement from the Bible, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:” (Genesis 1:28). This does not mean that human beings have the right to treat other forms of life any way they want. It does mean that in the hierarchical structure created by God, animals are lower life forms than human beings, and therefore animals can progress spiritually only by giving service to humans.

This gives rise to a very subtle distinction that can be difficult to understand with the human intellect. On one hand, I greatly honor the people who are sensitive to all forms of life. On the other hand, I do not wish to see these people take their sensitivity to the extreme and become fanatical. For example, you will see some animal rights activists who act as if the cause of animals was more important than the cause of human beings. In reality, this planet’s reason for being is to serve as a platform for the spiritual evolution of human lifestreams.

There is indeed a progression in all stages of life. Therefore, the nature spirits can progress to higher levels of consciousness. In fact, a nature spirit can progress to receive the divine spark that turns it into a lifestream. Some human beings currently embodied on planet earth did indeed start their spiritual evolution on this planet as nature spirits. That is why you find some people who have a great attunement to nature or to the earth mother.

The key to the progression of nature spirits is to serve human beings. This does actually mean that, given the current conditions on planet earth, nature spirits can indeed progress spiritually by providing food and other forms of service to human beings.

You see, one cannot necessarily reason that it is wrong for people to kill animals and use them for food, leather or other products. There will come a time when the spiritual growth of humankind has progressed to a level, where it will no longer be necessary to kill animals. Yet at the current level of spiritual development, a sensitive and humane use of animals is actually for the mutual benefit of both human beings and nature spirits.

In other words, there does not need to be a conflict between your sensitivity to animals and the fact that your husband is a hunter. He might simply have attuned his consciousness to the reality that it is currently permitted for human beings to hunt animals for food. However, your husband should realize that there is no excuse for treating animals cruelly. Killing an animal in a humane way is one thing, treating it with cruelty is something entirely different, and it is most certainly not in people’s own best interest to do so.

Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these my little ones, you have done it unto me. The universal Christ consciousness is found in all life, and therefore you should treat all life with basic respect and dignity.
There is a fundamental difference between hunting for food, killing your prey as quickly and humanely as possible, and hunting as a form of entertainment. It is never right to treat animals in a way that inflicts unnecessary cruelty and pain.

It is certainly correct to call for the spiritual protection of Archangel Michael upon animals. It would also be highly beneficial for people to call for the spiritual protection of the nature spirits and to use the Violet Flame to consume the burden of negative energy that humankind has imposed upon nature spirits. However, in the current situation the best thing you could possibly do to lighten the burden of the nature spirits is to give the decrees and invocations.

Confession does not guarantee freedom from sin or karma

TOPICS: An outer church cannot remove your sins – Holy Spirit is not automatic forgiveness – beneficial psychological effect – overcome guilt and sense of being unworthy – doesn’t work if you repeatedly sin – rise above sinful consciousness – psychological healing is necessary –

Question: Would you please comment on the nature and significance of giving confession?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

There is much confusion associated with the ritual of confession. Let me first state very clearly that the idea that an outer church can remove someone’s sins is a concept that encourages abuse. If you look at the history of the orthodox Church, you will see many examples of such abuse. Letters of absolvency being just one. (For a more detailed explanation, see the answer to the question about reincarnation).

It is true that I gave some of my disciples the power to redeem people’s sins through the Holy Spirit. However, the Holy Spirit bloweth where it listeth and cannot be controlled by human beings or organizations. I never said that anyone who confessed their sins to a church representative would automatically receive forgiveness of those sins.

As I have explained elsewhere, the vicarious atonement did not remove people’s sins or karma. When you commit an act that violates the laws of God, you automatically make karma. The confession of sins does not remove the person’s karma. The person will still have to balance that karma. However, the confession of sins can, if approached correctly, have a beneficial psychological effect.

We of the ascended masters do not desire to see anyone be burdened by guilt or the sense of being a sinner. We want people to let go of their past mistakes and to focus all of their energy and attention on climbing the spiritual path. To successfully climb the path, you must overcome the guilt that causes many people to feel that they are not worthy to approach God.

The essence of the spiritual path is that you come closer to God. If you feel that you are unworthy to approach God, then you cannot climb the path. For many people, the confession of sins can have the beneficial psychological effect of helping them leave behind guilt.

Unfortunately, the confession of sins can also have a negative effect. Some people faithfully go to confession every Sunday. They confess their sins, feel free of any guilt, and then joyfully commit the same sins next week. God’s mercy is infinite, and God’s forgiveness is instantaneous. However God’s forgiveness does not occur until you have forsaken the state of consciousness that causes you to sin.

If you review my Sermon on the Mount, you will see that I told people to rise above the consciousness that causes them to commit sinful acts. In today’s age, it is necessary to go one step further. People need to rise above the entire dualistic mind with all of its relativity and duality. What I am saying here is that a sin is forgiven at the moment you forsake the consciousness that causes you to violate God’s law (this forgiveness does not remove your karma). However, if you confess your sins without forsaking that consciousness, then it is naive to believe that your sin is forgiven.

The value of the ritual of confession is in direct proportion to the attitude with which people approach this ritual. If confessing a sinful act can help people overcome the consciousness that causes them to sin, then by all means go to confession. However, to fully overcome the lower consciousness, it is often necessary to go through a process of healing the psychological wounds that cause a person to remain attached to that state of consciousness.

Through this psychological healing, a person can come to a conscious recognition of why that state of consciousness is wrong. Through this recognition, a person can then make a conscious choice to abandon the state of consciousness.

For many people, the act of confessing a sin will not bring about the psychological healing. If people think that all they have to do is confess their sins, then the ritual of confession can actually hinder their spiritual growth. Obviously, I do not desire to see this happen to anyone. Therefore, I encourage people to sincerely strive for personal Christhood instead of thinking that the ritual confession will get them into heaven.

It would therefore be more effective to use the many tools we give for helping you overcome the past.

God’s grace, sin and karma

TOPICS: Forgiveness not free – Jesus not the only son of God – the Catholic church destroyed Jesus as an example – works and grace – Luther eliminated works, leaving only grace – you have to earn grace through your works – earth a schoolroom – through Christhood you do not make karma – grace removes karma when you transcend the old state of consciousness – karma is a teacher, not punishment – sin is separation from God – Jesus will not take people’s sins if they do not change their consciousness – you cannot hide anything from Jesus –

Question: Please clarify the role and the relation between God’s forgiveness and Karma. It seems that God’s forgiveness denies the work of Karma. God’s forgiveness is free and Karma is costly. How can both: God’s forgiveness and Karma work in harmony in the life of man?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Let me first comment on the idea that God’s forgiveness is free. Where did this idea come from? Well, it started when the newly formed Catholic Church – in the Nicene Creed – elevated me to the status of “the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Father before all ages. (God of God) light of light, true God of true God. Begotten not made, consubstantial to the Father, by whom all things were made.”

By elevating me above all other human beings, the Church destroyed me as an example, thereby aborting – as I explain throughout my website – the real purpose for my life and mission. I came to awaken all people to their potential to put on the mind of Christ and do the works that I did. Yet the Catholic Church completed the work begun by earlier church fathers of putting me beyond the reach of other people.

So if I could not serve as an example, why would people become Christians? Well, they would only do so if I could do something for them, and the church made this plausible by turning me into some all-powerful God who could do all the work for people and save them. The outcome was the concept that my blood on the cross provided the ultimate sacrifice that paid for all of humankind’s sins, past, present and future. As I explain elsewhere, this is a completely false idea.

Even though the Catholic Church committed a grave error – and truly committed blasphemy – by elevating me to the same status as God, it still maintained that salvation is won through both good works and grace. So even though the Church denies karma, there was at least an opening to the concept that your behavior has an impact on your salvation.

Yet when Martin Luther decided to correct some of the errors committed by the Catholic Church, he actually built on to those errors because while he took out some things added by the Catholic Church, he did not put back in what the Church had taken out of my original teachings—which did contain the concepts of karma and reincarnation. In his eagerness to remove what he saw as an overemphasis on good works, Luther’s only option was to reason that salvation is determined exclusively by grace and that you can do nothing to work out your own salvation.

Yet this also led to the convoluted idea that since you can’t do anything to earn grace, you really don’t have to do anything to earn it. Which is why many modern Christians have been brought up to believe that salvation is guaranteed when they declare me to be their Lord and Savior or are baptized into a Christian – preferably Lutheran – church.

In reality, grace is not free and thus there is no contradiction between grace/forgiveness and karma. The key insight that will resolve the enigma is that the material universe is a schoolroom in which you are meant to learn certain lessons that raise your awareness and self-awareness. You are meant to become a co-creator with God who has dominion over the earth, meaning that you can act in such a way that you do not make negative karma.

In order to build this mastery, you must experiment with your creative abilities, which includes free will. You have been given free will to do whatever you want with God’s energy, and you are constantly receiving light from your I AM Presence. Yet you are also responsible for what you do with that light, so if you use it for selfish purposes or to harm others, you make negative karma. You must pay back all karma before you can attain mastery and graduate from the schoolroom of earth.

Most people have had many lifetimes on this planet, and they have made a substantial amount of karma. A particular type of karma was made as a result of the person’s conscious self identifying with a certain state of consciousness. The main lesson you need to learn on earth is how to rise above the duality consciousness of the ego and put on the mind of Christ, in which you never violate God’s law. When you attain Christhood, you can live and act on earth without making karma.

The consequence is that in order to attain Christhood, you have to separate yourself from any state of consciousness built on duality and separation from God. Once you have risen above a certain type of consciousness, God has no desire to see you tied to that consciousness by having to deal with the karma made through that state of mind. Thus, God’s forgiveness and grace can relieve you of the remaining karma.

My point is that karma – what most Christians call sin – is not God’s punishment but is actually a teacher. It is meant to teach you that if you misuse the light of God, you reap what you have sown. When you sow the wind, you will reap the whirlwind. When you have risen above the state of consciousness that caused you to make a certain type of karma, you have learned your lesson, so what is the point of still having to deal with the karma? If you have truly forsaken the dualistic state of consciousness, you will learn nothing further from suffering the effects of karma, and that is why grace can take it away.

Contrary to what many people believe, God has no desire to punish you, no matter what sins you have committed. God simply wants you to return to its kingdom, for it is God’s good pleasure to give it to you. Yet before you can find the kingdom within you, you must rise above the consciousness of duality that causes you to see yourself as separated from what is already inside of you.

My point is that forgiveness or grace is not free. Regardless of what most Christians have been brought up to believe by the blind leaders of mainstream Christian churches, you will NOT receive God’s forgiveness of a certain type of sin until you have completely forsaken the consciousness that causes the sin. It is a complete illusion that I will indiscriminately pay back humankind’s sin. I am eternally committed to the law of God, and thus I will not take away someone’s sin or karma until that person has truly been spiritually reborn and thus will not repeat the actions that caused him or her to sin in the first place. How can you teach a person financial responsibility by paying off his debts without requiring a change in consciousness?

So you have to earn God’s forgiveness by doing what I told all Christians to do, namely remove the beam from their own eyes. Believing that they can ignore this commandment because I will indiscriminately pay back their sins is the worst form of hypocrisy I can imagine—at least for those who claim to be followers of Christ. Paying me lip-service without a true change of heart will bring no one closer to heaven.

Do people really think that what they hide in their hearts and subconscious minds is hidden from me? Do people think they can fool me by adopting the outer behavior of “good Christians” without truly changing their state of consciousness?

When will Christians wake up from this mass delusion? When will they pull the beam from their own eyes, so they can actually receive my grace?

Use your intuition and your common sense

TOPICS: Cannot choose to reincarnate any way you want – incarnation and reincarnation – karma makes it necessary to go back – free will and consequences – you cannot escape your sense of self – no choice without consequences – the cause of the fall – the way of the serpent and Lucifer – can remove suffering only by making better choices – past choices can limit future choices –

Question: Some channeled teachings say that after your physical death, you choose to return in any embodiment that you want to, not the same one or with the same consciousness. Can you please clarify?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

When evaluating a spiritual teaching, it is important that you use your intuition, and part of your intuition is common sense. In its pure form, common sense is the reasoning of your Christ self.

So when you read new ideas about reincarnation, it is prudent to compare them to the teachings on reincarnation that have been given in eastern religions for millennia and in western esoteric teachings for centuries. This should make it easy to see that the idea that you can choose to come back as anything you want is in direct opposition to virtually all other teachings on reincarnation found on this planet. One might reason that if you could choose whether you want to come back and how you want to come back, there seems to be little purpose for reincarnation.

It might be helpful to distinguish between incarnation and reincarnation. When your I AM Presence decided to create your lifestream, your lifestream’s first embodiment was an incarnation. Your I AM Presence can choose where and how your lifestream incarnates, although it often works with other spiritual beings to send a group of lifestreams down for a specific mission. After your lifestream makes its ascension and becomes an immortal spiritual being, it can choose to send a part of itself back down into embodiment. This is also an incarnation because not all of an ascended being comes into embodiment.

The central idea behind reincarnation is that you must come back into embodiment. When you descend into a physical body, you become subject to the law of action and reaction, also called the law of karma. This law states that you are responsible for how you use God’s energy, and if you misqualify a portion of energy, you are responsible for requalifying that energy by raising its vibration to its original purity. If you make karma here on earth, you will have to balance that karma on this planet. So if you have unbalanced karma when your physical body dies, you are not free to go anywhere you want. You will have a karmic tie that binds you to the earth until you have balanced the karma.

It is the karma that makes it necessary for you to come back, and therefore it is also the karma that determines what options you have for coming back. In other words, if you made karma with certain people, you will have to reembody with those same people in order to balance the karma. You cannot simply choose to avoid these people in your next lifetime. Likewise, if you made karma my making certain mistakes, you will have to come back into a situation where you have the opportunity to learn from those mistakes so that you can overcome the consciousness that caused you to make the mistakes. For example, if you misuse power in one lifetime, you might have to reembody in a situation where you are exposed to the misuse of power. If you could choose to walk away from your mistakes, how would you ever learn?

There are indeed some people who have several options for how they come back into a particular embodiment. In other words, they can choose from two or more options for exactly when and how they want to reembody. Yet most people only have a few options, and some indeed have only one opportunity to reembody. This is easy to understand when you know the reality of the Law of Free Will.

I am aware that there are a number of New Age teachings, especially some (but not all) of the channeled teachings from the mental realm, that contain the concept that nothing is done to a lifestream against its free will. However, the logical conclusion of this idea is that nothing you do really has any consequences and that you can pretty much do whatever you want and get away with it. This is contrary to the life-experience of most people, and indeed the material universe has a way of contradicting this belief.

I have to tell you that these teachings are incorrect, and by using common sense you can see why. As I explain throughout this website, the Law of Free Will is the ultimate law for this universe. Yet this law works in polarity with the Law of Action and Reaction, the law of karma. You will reap what you have sown, as most religions on this planet tell you.

In one sense, one can say that nothing will be done to you against your free will, but it has to be added that your own past choices can limit your present options. In other words, every choice you make creates consequences, and those consequences can limit the options that are available to you in the future. One aspect of this is the karma you generate, which can limit your options for when and how you come back into embodiment. Another aspect is that if you choose to give dark forces an inroad into your life, they will deliberately and maliciously manipulate your free will. It is true that no being in heaven will violate your free will, but God has created the Law of Action and Reaction to keep your free will in check.

One of the ideas I present on this website is that planet earth is a schoolroom. Your lifestream is here to learn how to use God’s energy. If you could do whatever you wanted and never have to face any consequences, how could you possibly learn anything? What would be the purpose of a universe where there are no rules and where a large number of spiritual beings could run around doing whatever they wanted without ever facing any consequences? Such a universe would simply be chaos, and it would not be sustainable. It would gradually deteriorate until it collapsed under its own weight.

The one thing you cannot escape is your state of consciousness. You are in a given state of consciousness because of choices you made, and you will carry that state of consciousness with you when the body dies. Unless you make an effort to raise your consciousness between embodiments – as all spiritually-minded lifestreams do – you will come back into embodiment with the same state of consciousness. This will cause you to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, and that is why so many problems seem like they have no solutions.

Consider the philosophical implications. The problem with some New Age ideas is that they disassociate choice from consequences, and this leads to a philosophical catch-22. The catch is: if there are no consequences, where is the choice? Say you are taking a walk, and you come to a fork in the road. If both roads led to the same place, it wouldn’t matter which path you took, so in essence you would not have a choice about where to go. You can have a choice only if the two roads lead to different places. You can make a choice only if you have at least two options and if they lead to different consequences.

The only way whereby you could have complete freedom to choose anything you want after your body dies – regardless of the choices you made during that lifetime – is if your actions don’t have consequences. Yet if your actions don’t have consequences, you essentially have no choice. This is one of the most subtle serpentine lies ever devised, and it was in fact the lie that caused the fall of Adam and Eve. The lie was that you could reach the same place, namely eternal life, by taking both the road offered by God and the road offered by the serpent. In other words, you could be saved by following the path taken by Lucifer and other fallen angels—the path of separation from God.

This simply is not true, and the proof is all around you. I think most spiritual people will realize that the many imperfect manifestations you see on earth simply could not exist in heaven. The logical conclusion is that these conditions are the result of choices that had undesirable consequences. Most people suffer greatly from these conditions, yet as I said, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?” (Matthew 6:27). In other words, people – even humanity as a whole – cannot simply get together and decide to instantly remove all suffering. The reason is that in order to remove suffering, you first have to remove the cause that created it. And suffering is the consequence of a limited state of consciousness.

People descended into that state of consciousness by making the choices to accept a number of serpentine lies that caused them to separate themselves from God and violate his laws. So the only way out of suffering is to systematically undo those choices and replace them with choices based on the truth of Christ. Change the cause, and you will automatically change the consequences.

The catch is that you cannot change your consciousness until you recognize that it needs to be changed. And how would you recognize that, unless the universe allowed you to experience the consequences of your current state of consciousness? It is precisely by experiencing the consequences of your imperfect choices that you gain the option of replacing them with better choices. Without consequences, you would remain in your present state of consciousness indefinitely, and that would be against the very principle of life itself, namely self-transcendence.

Let me be very direct. Any teaching that seeks to make you believe that you can do whatever you want – without having your present choices limit your future choices – is not a teaching that came from the ascended masters or any higher source. It could only have come from forces that deliberately seek to deceive you into thinking that you can do whatever you want. They do this because it can cause you to create consequences for yourself that will bind you to a state of consciousness which these forces can use to control you for an indefinite period of time.

This is not the way of the ascended masters, and therefore we do teach that your actions have consequences. We are here to help you see that your present choices can limit your future choices. We offer you the path to personal Christhood so you can learn to make right choices—meaning choices that don’t limit but enhance your creative expression. Spiritual freedom comes through the perfect vision of Christ. Freedom can never come from doing whatever you feel like at the moment with no regard for long-term consequences.

Will “none be left behind?”

TOPICS: Second death a consequence of free will – two options – any lifestream can be saved – masters never give up on a lifestream – everything will not be Okay, unless people choose life – salvation is internal event, a change of consciousness – life is perpetual self-transcendence –

Question: How can the expression “None will be left behind”, as expressed by various channelers and teachers, be reconciled with Jesus’ information about the possibility of the second death. Or can this not be reconciled and is the statement “None will be left behind” factually incorrect?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

You are correct that the expression “none will be left behind” cannot be reconciled with the possibility of the second death, and therefore the statement is factually incorrect. However, the second death is simply an inevitable consequence of the fact that every lifestream has free will.

As I explain throughout this website, the Law of Free Will is the basic law of this universe, but it exists in a polarity with the Law of Action and Reaction, the law of karma. So you have a right to choose anything you want, but you will inevitably reap what you have sown and experience the consequences of your choices.

One might say that if you look at the forest instead of the trees, you have two basic options from which to choose. You can choose the mind of Christ, whereby you see your lifestream as an extension of an immortal spiritual being and see that you have the potential to unite with your I AM Presence and thereby become an immortal spiritual being.

Or you can choose to deny your immortality and thereby enter into the consciousness of anti-christ. If you stay in this state of consciousness long enough, you will eventually reach the end of your opportunity, and thereby your lifestream will face the final choice of the second death. Yet as I explained elsewhere, no lifestream goes through the second death without choosing to do so.

This is why I said that I am come that all might have life, as opposed to the death consciousness in which most people are trapped—without seeing it, of course.

One might say that the expression “none will be left behind” can be interpreted to mean that every lifestream truly has the opportunity to come back home, if it chooses to do so. What I mean it is that there is a consciousness, even among many Christians, that certain people have committed such terrible sins that they could never be saved. The truth is that no matter what sins the lifestream has committed, in this life or in any past lives, the lifestream can always make the choice to turn around. The lifestream can choose that it is willing to leave behind the consciousness of anti-christ and walk the path that leads it to Christhood. And as long as the lifestream is on that path, and is willing to constantly transcend itself, that lifestream will not be left behind.

Another aspect is that the ascended masters never give up on a lifestream. We continue to approach every lifestream and offer them the upward path. That is indeed why the Bible describes how I descended to Hell in the three days prior to my resurrection. I did so to preach to the lifestreams who were stuck in the consciousness of Hell and offer them a way out. So one might say that none will be left behind, except those who choose to be left behind.

I am aware that in many New Age circles, there is a very subtle consciousness that in the end everything will be Okay, and therefore no lifestream will be left behind. This is very similar to the consciousness that exists in many fundamentalist Christian circles, where people believe that you will be saved simply by declaring that Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior.

The problem with this state of consciousness is that it denies the existence of free will, and it also makes people believe that there is no reason to truly make an effort to transcend yourself. After all, if none will be left behind or if Jesus will save me no matter what I have done, why make an effort to change my consciousness and come up higher?

The basic fact is that Christ consciousness means perpetual self-transcendence. Many people have an incomplete understanding of what it means to enter the kingdom of heaven. They think this is some kind of external event, whereby God, Jesus or an angel will suddenly appear and sweep them into a different place. As I attempt to explain on this website, the kingdom of heaven is a state of consciousness. So to enter the kingdom of heaven, you must transcend the state of consciousness that keeps you out of heaven, namely the consciousness of anti-christ.

My point is that if you allow any idea, any serpentine lie, to make you think that you no longer need to transcend yourself, then you have embraced the consciousness of anti-christ, and you have denied the consciousness of Christ. The key to entering the kingdom of heaven it that you constantly make the effort to willingly transcend your current state of consciousness. If you keep transcending your current state of consciousness, you will sooner or later cross the line and rise into the Christ consciousness that truly is the kingdom of heaven where you are. And only those who are in the Christ consciousness will not be left behind as the eternal cycles of our self-transcending God move on.

Reincarnation in the scriptures

TOPICS: The scriptures approved by the church fathers who banned reincarnation – early church changed the scriptures to fit doctrine – many people at Jesus’ time believed in reincarnation – Jesus’ disciples knew the reality of reincarnation – Do not seek to force Christians to accept reincarnation –

Question: Dear master Jesus and Kim, I have come to believe that you did in fact teach about reincarnation. When bringing up this topic with orthodox people they challenge me to show it to them in the scriptures. Honestly, in their defense, I cant find much to support this. Any insights where scriptures reflect or make reference to reincarnation? I feel any guidance from you would help me shed the light on the truth. thank you, truth seeker

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Of course there is no direct mention of reincarnation in the scriptures. The scriptures that you have today were approved by the very same church fathers who decided to ban reincarnation as heresy and to curse everyone who believed in it. Do you think they would have left any mention of the ideas they considered to be heresy? If you ask a scientific materialist whether there is any scientific proof of the existence of God, what kind of answer would you expect to get? That is much the same as asking an orthodox Christian if there is any proof in the scriptures of reincarnation. For 1,500 years orthodox Christianity has denied the reality of reincarnation, so how could there possibly be anything in the scriptures that contradicts a church doctrine?

Anyone who takes an objective look at historical records will see that the early church fathers were not afraid of adapting the scriptures to the doctrines they had decided represented either an infallible truth or the “truth” they wanted Christians to believe. This is simply historical fact , and no one can deny this if they are willing to take an objective look. I realize that most orthodox Christians are not willing to be objective about this, and therefore nothing you could possibly say – or nothing I could possibly say – would convince these people. Yet you might at least make them aware that the scriptures people have today are not necessarily a true reflection of what I actually taught 2,000 years ago.

In reality, there was never any direct mention of reincarnation in the four gospels that are known today. The simple reason being that at the time the gospels were written, reincarnation as a concept was known to virtually everybody. Several Jewish sects did in fact believe in reincarnation, so for these people there was no reason to mention reincarnation directly. And for the people who did not believe in reincarnation, there was no reason to mention it either.

Given the situation that existed when the four Gospels were written down, there was no particular advantage to mentioning reincarnation. Those who already believed in it, could see reincarnation in the Gospels. And those who did not believe in it, would overlook such hints and therefore not be offended.

The simple fact is that I never made reincarnation a major issue in my outer teachings. The reason was that most of the people who were open to my teachings already believed in reincarnation. For those who were not open, it was better that they started following other aspects of my teachings. This is in line with the fact that I taught the multitudes in parables and taught all things to my disciples (Mark 4:34). I can assure you that my disciples all knew the reality of reincarnation.

As you grow toward personal Christhood, you will gradually receive intuitive confirmation of the reality of reincarnation. For those who are far from attaining Christhood and not open to their Christ potential, reincarnation is not an essential concept. That is why many mainstream Christians in today’s world do not necessarily need to believe in reincarnation. If they are not ready to accept the idea that they have the potential to attain Christ consciousness, it makes little difference whether or not they believe in reincarnation.

However, in today’s world far more people are ready for the path to personal Christhood than was the case 2,000 years ago, as I explain elsewhere. For these people it is indeed important to have an understanding of reincarnation. Otherwise, you simply cannot resolve your relationship with God and make your peace with God. That is why I mention reincarnation in The Christ Is Born in You.

My point is that there is little gained by seeking to force Christians to accept reincarnation. There is no harm in mentioning it, but unless people seem to be open to the idea, you should not seek to force it upon them. Simply state your own beliefs and state why you have those beliefs without seeking to prove anything. You cannot prove anything to those who have closed their minds to the Living Truth that can be revealed only inside their hearts. You will see that even I could not convince the lawyers, the scribes, the Pharisees, the Sadducees or the temple priests of the Jewish religion to accept the living truth. Likewise, you cannot convince the lawyers, the scribes, the Pharisees, the Sadducees or the temple priests of today’s Christian religion to accept the Living Truth.

Yet for your consideration, here is an excerpt from the book The Secret Coming of Christ.

Was reincarnation ever part of Christianity?

We have already seen that the ongoing human power struggle, combined with the relativity of the dualistic mind, has caused things to be added to and subtracted from the Christian faith. It is a historical fact that the organizational structure, the doctrines and the rituals of modern Christianity were solidified and defined between 200 to 700 A.D. This was done primarily by a group of leaders called the church fathers.

These leaders removed a number of ideas from the Christian faith and banned some of them as heresy. They even sought to prevent people from thinking and talking about these ideas by declaring that anyone doing so would be anathema. Anathema means cursed. In other words, if you talked about ideas banned by the church, you would be cursed by the church authorities and therefore denied entry to heaven.

One of the ideas banned by the church fathers was the concept of the pre-existence of lifestreams. The idea was officially banned in A.D. 553 at the Second Council of Constantinople. The fact that the idea was so forcefully denounced by the church fathers shows that reincarnation had been present in early Christianity. If it wasn’t an issue, why make an all-out effort to ban the idea?

In reality, many of the early church fathers and theologians accepted reincarnation. Clement of Alexandria and Origen are just two well-known examples. Most Gnostics also believed in reincarnation. The first serious resistance to reincarnation came from the wife of the emperor Justinian. Her name was Theodora, and she did not like the idea that she could be punished in a future lifetime for what she did in this lifetime. She didn’t like that kind of personal accountability and used her influence to get the church to ban the idea.

The fact that reincarnation was taken out of Christianity opens the question of how it came to be part of early Christianity? If you take the inner approach to religion, the real question is whether Jesus was familiar with, or perhaps even taught, reincarnation. Currently, there is no proof that he did, but there are indications.

Archaeological finds, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, have shown that Jesus was affiliated with the Essene community at Qumran. The Essenes believed in reincarnation. So did many other sects in Palestine, and it is highly unlikely that Jesus would have been unfamiliar with the idea. Therefore, one might consider it significant that neither he nor the gospel writers denounced it, especially since there are two opportunities for doing so in the scriptures. Consider the following quote from Matthew, Chapter 17:

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

How could John the Baptist be Elias come again? John was born like any other child, so is seems that one possible explanation is that John was the reincarnation of Elias. Now, consider the following quote from John, Chapter 9:

1 And as [Jesus] passed by, he saw a man which was blind from [his] birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

This is a strange question to ask because if the man was born blind, how could he have sinned? I know some Christians say the man sinned in the womb, but can this explain the situation? The Old Testament law was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. So to have committed a sin severe enough to warrant blindness, one would assume that the man should have caused the blindness of another person. How could a child in the womb do this? Therefore, another possible explanation was that the man had sinned in a previous lifetime.

If Jesus was as negative toward the idea of reincarnation as many modern Christians, this would have been a good opportunity to correct his disciples. Obviously, there is no absolute proof that Jesus taught reincarnation. However, if you take the inner approach to religion, you don’t need an outer proof. You need an intuitive insight to determine whether reincarnation makes sense. Can the concept of reincarnation answer your questions, and can it accelerate your spiritual growth?
The answer is that reincarnation is a very efficient tool for overcoming the sense that you are a victim, that God is unjust and that there is nothing you can do about your situation. Reincarnation puts you in charge of your destiny and encourages you to take an active approach to salvation. In fact, if you don’t consider reincarnation, it is very difficult to overcome your anger against God and love him “with all thy heart, and with all thy lifestream, and with all thy mind.” And if you don’t love God wholeheartedly, how can you hope to enter his kingdom?

Only one embodiment

TOPICS: Two reasons for having only one embodiment –

Question: I came across a channeling where the channeled entity claims that it has only ever had one embodiment. Is that possible?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

It is possible to have only one embodiment on earth. Before the Fall, most spiritual beings had only one lifetime on earth before ascending.

After the Fall, certain rebellious souls were given the opportunity to embody on earth. Some of them misused their opportunity in such a way that they have bound themselves to the lower realms, and therefore they were unable to return to physical embodiment. When I descended to hell after my crucifixion, part of the purpose was to attempt to reach such souls and help them get back on a positive path to growth.

So having had only one embodiment on earth is not necessarily proof of spiritual attainment, but could be the proof of the opposite

How people make negative karma

TOPICS: You are responsible for your own actions; not those of others – you are responsible for your reactions to what others do to you – principle behind Golden Rule – how karmic spirals form – no one can escape their karma – complex karmic web – break the spiral through Golden Rule – no reason to punish, as God’s law will do that – do you want freedom or bondage? –

Question: Beloved Jesus, please tell more about how people make negative karma. For instance, can a person create karma if he listens to bad music against his will (indoors, where such music plays)? Or he is in a meeting with people, where they discus and introduce false ideas?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

As I explain in many places on this website, everything in this world is made from God’s energy. Human beings have the capacity to use God’s energy in various ways. This can be done through their actions, but also through their thoughts and feelings. You are ultimately responsible for what you do with God’s energy through your actions, thoughts and feelings. However, you are not responsible for what other people do to you.

So let us examine the situation where you are forced to listen to music against your desire. In that case, there is no way you can make karma by listening to the music. However, you can make karma if you respond to the music or to the situation in a negative way. In other words, if you become irritated or angry, then you will make karma because those feelings will misqualify the energy of God streaming through your consciousness.

Again, if you are exposed to false ideas you will not make karma by simply hearing such ideas. However, if you respond negatively to the ideas or to the people presenting them, you can make karma. Likewise, if you were to accept such ideas and live your life according to them, you could make karma.

In short, you cannot make karma for other people’s actions. You can make karma for your reaction to other people’s actions.

This is one of the major principles behind the Golden Rule, but unfortunately most Christians have not understood the profound principle behind this rule. You live in a world in which every human being has free will. You also live in a world that is very far removed from God’s original purity and intent. Therefore, you have many people who have descended into a very low state of consciousness in which they are completely self-centered and selfish. So when you enter this world, it is inevitable that you will be exposed to people who will treat you in a way that is not according to the laws of God.

When a person mistreats you, that person will automatically make karma. There is no way the person could ever escape the responsibility for that karma, although it might not come back to the person in the present lifetime. This is clearly described in the Bible in the saying that a man will reap what he has sown. It is also clearly stated that God will return all karma to a person, “Vengeance is mine saith the Lord, I will repay!”

Because people do not understand this, it often happens that when a person is mistreated by others, he or she either takes negative actions or enters into negative thoughts and feelings concerning the other person. This means that the second person has now made karma in the situation. So instead of a situation where one person violates the laws of God and makes karma, we have now have a snowball effect where the second person is tempted into also making karma.

This then can cause a downward spiral between two people that can continue to escalate for the rest of that lifetime and even over many lifetimes. This is what you see throughout the world, not only between individuals but also between groups of people, such as families communities, nations all races.

The world today is an incredible tangled web of karmic relationships between people. This web is extremely complex and presents numerous challenges for evolving lifestreams and for their spiritual teachers.

I came to set people free from this web of karmic entanglements, and I clearly realized that in order for people to be free, they had to somehow break the negative spiral of making more and more karma with each other. As the primary tool for breaking this endless cycle of karmic relationships, I gave the Golden Rule.

If someone comes up to you and slaps you across the face, that person has made karma. If you hit the person back or become angry or even fearful, you will also make karma. However, if you can remain completely non-attached and turn the other cheek, then you will not make karma from the situation. Thereby, you will set yourself free from any karmic spirals, and you can simply move on from the situation without having it weigh you down or pull you back.

Unfortunately, because my teachings on karma and reincarnation were removed from Christianity, most modern Christians have not understood the profound principle behind the Golden Rule. Therefore, they have not fully internalized the Golden Rule and that is why so many modern Christians find it difficult to follow this rule with the true spirit of non-attachment that comes from unconditional love.

Even if someone harms you severely, an understanding of karma will make you realize that the person can never escape responsibility for his actions. Therefore, you have absolutely no reason to seek to punish the person or to entertain negative thoughts or feelings towards the person. You can simply let go of the situation and lovingly allow God to return the person’s karma in due time. This sets you free to move on from the situation instead of entering into a negative spiral that can continue to build over many lifetimes, until you have created such a strong karmic tie to the person that you feel like you can never get away from him or her.

So the main motivation for following the Golden Rule is really whether you want your personal lifestream freedom or whether you want to remain in bondage to people who have harmed you in the past and perhaps are still harming you in the present. The only way to be free of such people is to fully internalize the Golden Rule and to turn the other cheek in unconditional love. This love becomes the person’s judgment and will ensure the return of the person’s karma.

Reincarnation and Jesus

TOPICS: The Catholic Church actively banned reincarnation as heresy – it was banned because it was part of early Christianity – why opposition to reincarnation? –  the ego rejects all accountability – cause and effect – political reasons for rejecting reincarnation – reincarnation helps people escape control of a power elite – religion used by the power elite – the Catholic church manipulated people to give land to the church –

Question: Did Jesus teach reincarnation?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

Let us begin by looking at the historical facts. Anyone who cares to dig into the historical records of the early church will see that between the third and the fifth century, the Roman Catholic church issued a number of documents that effectively banned the idea of reincarnation as heresy. This knowledge is available for anyone who cares to do a bit of research. In fact, some theologians are aware that the edict to ban reincarnation as heresy did not receive papal approval. Therefore, some argue that this edict is not official church doctrine. However, I do not desire to go into these arguments about the politicking of the church.

The fact that the church made a determined effort to ban reincarnation as heresy demonstrates that the concept of reincarnation was part of early Christianity. This is simply a historical fact which no one, at least no one who is willing to face reality, can deny.

If reincarnation was indeed part of early Christianity, then how could this idea possibly have been brought into the Christian faith? Is it possible that the idea was part of early Christianity because it was introduced by the very person who founded Christianity, namely myself?

Before I answer this question, let us consider why there is such opposition to the idea of reincarnation. As was the case with the idea of me being the only son of God, there is an inner and outer reason.

The inner reason for rejecting reincarnation is the dualistic mind and the ego’s complete refusal to take accountability for anything. As long as a person identifies with the dualistic mind, that person is constantly seeking for ways to justify his or her actions. This can be a rather difficult preposition.

You live in the universe that is guided by a natural law which modern science refers to as the law of cause and effect. In other words, you live in a universe where all of your actions have some form of consequences. Every religion found on this planet does, in one form or another, describe this universal law. The Bible is no exception, because it teaches that as a man sows, so will he also reap. I am sure you realize that this biblical statement also applies to women.

It is a fact of life that your actions produce consequences and that those consequences will affect you in some way. Therefore, when the dualistic mind seeks to justify a particular action, it has to find a way to deny or explain away the law of cause and effect. If you accept the idea that every act has consequences, then you simply cannot justify certain acts, because you realize that you cannot escape the consequences.

However, the dualistic mind does have a way out of this dilemma. Most people experience that they can indeed commit a wrong act and avoid suffering the consequences. If you commit a wrong act, and if no one finds out about it or can prove that the act was committed by you, then you can (seemingly) “get away with it.” The dualistic mind uses this common experience to make the argument that it is possible to commit a wrong act and escape the consequences of that act. In other words, if you are smart enough to avoid detection, then you can also avoid the consequences of your actions.

The dualistic mind thinks this is a perfectly logical and sound line of reasoning. Millions of lifestreams have been so consumed by the relativity of the dualistic mind that they seriously believed this line of reasoning. How does such a lifestream react when it is confronted with the idea of reincarnation?

The very essence of the idea of reincarnation is that you can never escape the consequences of your actions. You might be able to hide a wrong act from other human beings so that you do not suffer any consequences of that act in this lifetime. However, you can never hide anything from God, and therefore you will inevitably suffer the consequences of your actions. If you do not feel these consequences in this lifetime, you will feel them in a future lifetime.

Reincarnation and spirituality

TOPICS: Reincarnation is a very old concept – Jesus learned about reincarnation in the East – the man who was blind from birth – John the Baptist Elijah come again –

Question: Was Jesus familiar with the concept of reincarnation?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

This question might seem shocking to many orthodox Christians, yet I have a good reason for asking you to consider it. Let us begin with historical facts. The concept of reincarnation has been part of religious life on this planet for as far back as we have recorded history (and indeed much longer).

When I walked the earth, there were many groups and sects in Israel that believed in reincarnation. Recent archaeological discoveries have shown that I was affiliated with the Essene community at Quamram. The Essenes believed in reincarnation.

I have told you  that I traveled to the East and studied and practiced the religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. These religions teach reincarnation.

Therefore, I think even the most orthodox Christians should be able to accept the idea that Jesus Christ was indeed familiar with the concept of reincarnation.

Now, let us expand our question a bit and consider whether there any indications of reincarnation in the scriptures. Consider the passage that describes how I healed a man who was blind from birth. After the healing, my disciples asked me: “Who did sin, this man or his parents?”

Consider why my disciples would ask such a question? Obviously, my disciples must have believed that it was possible for this man to have brought his blindness upon himself. Yet, the man was born blind. When could he possibly have sinned? I know that some theologians reason that he must have sinned in the womb, but does that honestly make sense to you?

How the Divine Mother holds the immaculate concept

TOPICS: Embodying the mother – accepting the mother’s love – the Divine Mother loves you unconditionally because she sees you as part of herself – overcome the sense of being inadequate – your highest potential – perfection is an illusion – multiplying what you have is the key to transcending what you have – being MORE –

Question: My question is for Mother Mary or the Divine Mother. In the interest of fulfilling my Divine Plan, what is the best way for me to embody the Mother, the Divine Feminine?

Answer from ascended master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels:

To embody the Mother, to be the Mother in embodiment and to exemplify that for all people by exemplifying that Mother flame. Which then means that you must first learn to love yourself as the Mother already loves you and accept the Mother’s unconditional love for you, so that you cannot only feel, but express that love to all people. And thus, as always, begin by looking at what it might be in your own psychology, each one of you, that prevents you from accepting that the Divine Mother loves you unconditionally, each one of you unconditionally.

You must contemplate that whatever you think you might have done in this or a past life, nothing can take away the Divine Mother’s unconditional love for you—for the Divine Mother sees you as itself. I, Mother Mary, am one with the Divine Mother, and I see you as myself, each one of you, in the sense that I know you are all expressions of the Divine Mother, each having your unique God Flame, your unique talents and potential.

And thus, I hold that immaculate concept for you. And I will, if you give my rosaries, if you tune in to my heart, if you ask me for inner direction, I will help you see that immaculate concept for yourself, so that you can live up to your highest potential.

Which should not become a source of stress, as many of you tend to panic when you hear the words, “living up to your highest potential.” For it ties in with your upbringing in a material universe, where you have been brain-washed, so to speak, with the concept that you are not adequate, that you are not worthy, that there is something missing – that you are somehow deficient – and thus cannot live up to the supposed standard of perfection that is required for your entry into heaven.

You need to see that this is a complete fallacy. It is a creation of those who want to keep you under their control by keeping you from discovering the Kingdom of God within you. There is no external standard that you have to live up to in order to live up to your highest potential. But you have to be—be that highest potential in action and be at peace knowing that whatever you express when it comes from the heart, is your highest potential at this moment.

The concept that you have been programmed to believe in over many lifetimes is that there is some standard of perfection and that you are so far below it, that the gap is almost insurmountable. Yet holding the immaculate concept as I do, I do not have a standard of perfection for each one of you. For I know there is no standard of perfection that can be defined—for even the very concept of a standard of perfection is based on separation from the River of Life and thus springs from the duality consciousness and the ego and the false teachers of humankind.

Instead, I look at each one of you as you are right now, your total state of consciousness, your total state of being. And the immaculate concept I hold is that you take what you are right now, multiply the talents you have right now and therefore make the best of what you are and the situation you face. Thus, when multiplying those talents, you come up one step higher—and that, my beloved, is living up to your highest potential as it is right now. And then, as you come up that step, there is another step. But that step is again not millions of miles removed from you. It is just one doable step away.

And thus, the immaculate concept means holding the concept that you make the most of what is there – you make the most of what “IS” at any given moment – multiplying it, coming up higher. And therefore, you are constantly living up to your highest potential when you are willing to be MORE and express that MORE.

The husband is to be the head of the household?

TOPICS: Monotheism is an unbalanced approach to religion – masculine is I AM Presence, feminine is Conscious You – not ego in control –

Question: What is the spiritual significance of the Biblical edict that the husband is to be the head of the household? Could the wife be the main decision maker in the household instead, if it works out for both of them, or is there anything spiritually inappropriate in this?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

There is no spiritual significance to this whatsoever, my beloved. It is a product of what we have exposed in recent dictations – of the unbalanced approach to religion, that is the hallmark of monotheism—that raises up God as being exclusively a male figure. Thereby, using it as an excuse for men and the male ego putting women into a secondary position.

There is a symbolical significance—if you go beyond men and women and say that “man” represents the Spirit, and that “woman” represents matter in your own individual being. That would mean that your I AM Presence is the masculine aspect and your lower being the feminine polarity of that.

And thus, your Spirit is meant to be the master of your personal “household,” so that your conscious self is in attunement, in alignment, with your I AM Presence. And therefore takes command over your “house,” over your lower being, and brings that lower being into alignment with the purpose for which you came into embodiment—as a result of you choosing – you desiring – to express your God flame, your divine individuality, in raising up the material universe to be a permanent sphere in the realm of God.

The Divine Feminine role in the Golden Age

TOPICS: God has both masculine and feminine aspects – you cannot ascend by ignoring the feminine – the material universe was not created by the demiurge –

Question: I have a two part question for Mother Mary. Mother Mary, we enjoyed your fiery discourse earlier and I would like to know what your vision is if and when Christianity is restored, what is your vision of your role? As you’ve been idolized by the Catholic church, how would you like to be portrayed in a new Christianity? And what is your vision of the Divine Feminine in the Golden Age, being able to balance having the abundant life and also being a nurturing presence in the world?

Answer from ascended master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels:

My beloved heart, my vision is of course that the feminine aspect of God is restored to its proper place in the consciousness of the people, so that they realize that God has a masculine and a feminine aspect but that this does not detract from the oneness of God.

I desire to have all people realize that it is precisely the separation from oneness, caused by the duality consciousness, that has set up a separation between the masculine and feminine aspects of God and even men and women on earth. Thereby creating a conflict between men and women and leading to the unfortunate state, where for thousands of years the western world has been in the grips of a false religion that has ignored or even degraded the feminine aspect of God, raising up an idol of the masculine aspect of God.

For surely, as the Bible says, “I AM Alpha and Omega.” Thus you will know that you can only have the fullness of God when you have both the Alpha and the Omega. And so I desire – in a new Christianity – to be seen as the holder of the office of the Divine Mother for earth, thereby being the representative of the Divine Feminine for all people on this earth, not just Catholics.

Nevertheless, of course, in a new Christianity we do look to maintain some elements of the Christian tradition, and therefore I will still be known as Mother Mary, as Jesus will still be known under the name Jesus, and not some other fancy New Age name or some other spelling or what have you.

The Divine Feminine, my beloved, needs to be seen as the inseparable companion of the Divine Masculine, as the very element that completes the Divine Masculine. For without the Divine Feminine, there can truly be no transcendence, there can be no return to the source. It is not true that you can ignore the feminine and actually ascend to heaven.

Those who have ascended to heaven – be they masculine or feminine ascended masters – have ascended by achieving balance between the masculine and feminine aspects of their beings— that are truly representatives of spirit and matter. You will not ascend by ignoring matter, by degrading matter, by seeing matter as being only sinful or even as being evil.

For my beloved, the material universe was not created by the demiurge, by the devil or by a false god. The material universe was created by God to give an opportunity for growth to a great number of lifestreams. And they obtain that growth by attaining mastery over the material world and demonstrating that mastery in alignment with the higher vision of the spiritual aspects of their beings, so that they bring together the spirit and matter, so that they can be here below all that they are above.

For you see, my beloved, it is only when you attain that oneness of spirit and matter that you can ascend to the spiritual realm. For only then have you actually honored God and what God has done for you in giving you an expression of itself as a platform for your growth in the world of form.

Jesus’ opinion regarding the role of women

TOPICS: Jesus never said women were subordinate to men – Jesus came to challenge male-dominated culture – follow your heart; not religious leaders –

Question: A judge was just appointed to the Courts who has said that women are to be subordinate to men. This outraged me. I sent this to a friend who said yes, that is true, because Jesus said so. She also told me that my problem is that I don’t believe in the Bible. What is Master Jesus’ opinion regarding the role of women in this regard.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

You might ask your friend to show you the exact Bible passage where I supposedly said that women should be subordinate to men. You can find such statements in the Old Testament, which was heavily influenced by a male-dominated culture that did not originate with God, as I talk more about elsewhere. You can also find such statements in the writings of the apostles, but I challenge anyone to find a direct quote where I supposedly said do.

Your friend will find it difficult to find such a quote because there is none. I never said that women should be subordinate to men because men and women were created as equals. I talked more about this in another discourse.

Of course, Paul made certain statements that have been used by male religious leaders as a justification for suppressing women, but these statements did not come from me. They were an expression of the male-dominated culture in which Paul lived.

There is a fundamental difference between believing in what the Bible says and believing the Bible says something it does not. The problem is that so many things have been added to Christian doctrine and culture that were never my true teachings. That is why many Christian churches to this day perpetuate a male-dominated culture that was outdated 2,000 years ago and which I came to challenge.

Some Christians have created the belief that I said – or would have said – what they want to be true, and these people simply will not look at the facts and realize they have created an idol of me that is out of touch with reality. Simply follow my inner teachings, as you find them on my website and in your heart, and let the dead bury their dead.

Paul’s attitude toward women

TOPICS: Paul did not understand Jesus’ teachings on women – Christianity could have restored the role of women – male and female in a polarity – both sexes of equal importance –

Question: Dear Beloved Jesus: I’m confused. I understand Paul was Beloved Paul to you, but why did he seemingly feel indifferent to women by stating that women shouldn’t teach, should be quiet in church, and are subject to men’s rule, etc. Or is this really NOT what Paul taught but some more twisting of his teachings by the early so-called church? And if this isn’t the actual Pauline teaching, what is? Would the gnostic books of Paul be more accurate of his philosophy? I just want to know the truth.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

I loved all of my disciples with the love of Christ, which is unconditional. This means that I love all people regardless of their current limitations or faults. Yet my love is not blind, and I clearly see the limitations each person needs to overcome in order to grow spiritually.

It is indeed correct that Paul had an attitude toward women that was not in accordance with my attitude and my teachings. I have explained this in some detail in my discourse on my relationship with Mary Magdalene. I also mention my hope of restoring women to their rightful place as the spiritual equals of men. I have explained elsewhere that Paul’s attitude toward women was not in accordance with my highest hopes for Paul or my other disciples.

So I have no desire to make excuses for or explain away Paul’s attitude toward women. It was simply an expression of his time, and Paul’s attitude toward women was no worse or no better than the attitude of most men at the time. Again, this is not an excuse, it is simply a statement of fact.

It is indeed one of my great regrets that Christianity did not become a religion that would restore women to their rightful place, both in the family, in society, in churches and in the minds of both men and women. Yet the real problem here is that the path of individual Christhood was lost. When you attain Christhood, you naturally begin to look beyond any outer divisions as a result of gender, race, national origin or any of the many other artificial divisions and labels that spring from the relativity of the dualistic mind. These man-made divisions simply lose their importance, and a Christed being will honor women as being fully as worthy and important as men.

A Christed being will also accept that parts of the biblical story about the creation of women is incorrect. Women were not created as an afterthought, and women were not created out a man’s substance. These sections were simply added later by people in a male-dominated culture.

Male and female created he them (Genesis 5:2). The male and the female sex form a polarity similar to the Tai-Chi known in Taoism. One simply cannot exist without the other, and therefore one cannot be created without the other. Both sexes were created simultaneously and with equal value and importance in the eyes of God. That is indeed how they should be revered in the eyes of men and women.

Were women created before men?

TOPICS: Pure Being or the Allness – the Ma-ter light – masculine and feminine have always existed – the masculine started the process of creation – the original religion – religion after the fall – no need to worship God – worship springs from the duality consciousness –

Question: this is a question of a matter of what came first the chicken or the egg. God or whatever it is, if its anything. what is god other then everything. what is it female first then male. not saying that it was a woman or a man but the principle of it. meaning that it was feminine well passive or latent well in pralaya before it became masculine well active or manvantara.

like the book of dyzan says the the eternal mother slept before she unfolded. i know its poetic license taken by some very earnest seekers who settled on that as the best description.
why was the religion of the mother goddess the first on the planet?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

I would like to settle the age-old question about the chicken and the egg once and for all. The chicken came first.

Now let us move on to the more serious questions. The following discourse contains detailed teachings about how God created the universe. A brief summary is that God has an unmanifest aspect, which I like to call pure Being or the Allness. Another aspect of God is the creator, which is the actual origin of everything that was created in the world a form. To start creation, the Creator brings forth an element which can be molded into any conceivable form. This is what the Bible refers to in the saying, “Let there be light.” We generally call this the Ma-ter light.

As I explain, God the creator is the acting, or masculine, principle, whereas the Light of God is the receiving, or feminine, principle. So everything in the world of form is created out of the feminine aspect of God. That is why some religions say that everything was created from the Mother God or the Goddess, and that is why some religions worship God as a feminine deity.

The masculine and feminine aspects of God have always existed. Therefore, in a sense it is meaningless to talk about whether God was masculine before feminine or the other way around. These two principles, or aspects, are inseparable and it really doesn’t make sense to talk about one without the other.

The age-old question of what came first is really a product of the linear human consciousness which sees everything based on its own situation. Because human beings experience that their physical lives have a beginning and an end, they reason that everything else must also have a beginning and an end.

In terms of the world of form, one can say that everything was created out of the feminine principle, the feminine substance, of God. Therefore, everything in the world of form is created from God the Mother. However, everything was created by God the Father, so by its very nature creation began with the vision held in the mind of God the Father. It was the masculine aspect of God that started the process of creation. The feminine aspect of God took on whatever form was envisioned by the mind of God.

This is not to say that the feminine aspect of God does not have a mind, or consciousness. However, the feminine aspect lovingly allows the masculine aspect to act upon her and carries out the vision held by the masculine aspect. Creation was initiated by the masculine aspect of God and carried out by the feminine aspect of God. If you want to talk about beginning and end, you might say that creation started as an idea, as a vision, in the consciousness of the masculine aspect of God.

It is certainly viable to say that the eternal Mother slept before she unfolded because the feminine aspect of God has always existed as a principle. The Divine Mother did lay latent, inactive, until she was acted upon by the Divine Father.

I do not agree that the religion of the mother goddess was the first on the planet. When human beings first descended on this planet, they had not forgotten their spiritual origin. Therefore, they were fully aware of both God the Father and God the Mother, and they had an active relationship to both. The relationship that people had to their divine parents before the fall was very different, and therefore it would not be correct to say that people before the fall worshipped God or even had a religion as it is understood today.

As explained elsewhere, it was the feminine aspect of every lifestream that first fell into a lower state of consciousness. This happened because the feminine aspect of the lifestream started to take on the ways of the world instead of remaining true to its own masculine aspect, namely the spiritual self. As a result of the descent into a lower state of consciousness, lifestreams forgot their spiritual origin and therefore lost the direct experience of the masculine aspect of God.

Because lifestreams lived in a world created from the very substance of the feminine aspect of God, they could not completely forget this aspect of God. That is why many primitive cultures worshipped the feminine aspect of God in the form of the earth Mother, which they believed gave them life. It was only after humankind had, in a very slow ascent, risen to a higher state of consciousness that lifestreams again began to have a clear concept of the masculine aspect of God.

What has happened today is that many people, most notably in the West, have forgotten the feminine aspect of God and exclusively worship the masculine aspect of God. This is a typical example of how people, because of their spiritual immaturity and lack of balance, swing from one extreme to the other.

What will happen in the coming decades is that humankind will come to a greater recognition of the need to have an understanding of and a relationship to both the masculine and feminine aspects of God. The simple fact is that your spiritual life cannot be complete without having this healthy balance between the masculine and feminine aspects. This applies not only to how you see God but also to how you see yourself.

In terms of masculine and feminine, it is important to realize that this cannot be defined in a fixed way, as there are many such polarities. As I explained above, there is an unmanifest and a creative aspect of God. These two also form a polarity, where the Allness is the masculine aspect and the Creator God the feminine aspect. There is another polarity between your particular Creator and its own creation. You are part of the creation of your Creator, which means that for you the Creator is the masculine aspect and you are the feminine aspect. So in one sense, if you worship the Divine Mother, you are worshipping yourself.

Many of the religions that worship a mother goddess are as out of touch with reality as the monotheistic religions that worship a father god. They are based on the consciousness of separation, where you see yourself separated from the deity you are worshiping. The realistic way to look at yourself is that you are an expression of the Creator, and thus you are one with the Creator. There is only one mind, and your self-awareness is an individualization of that one mind but it can never be separated from the one. Your role in creation is to act as the extension of God on earth, whereby you become the Divine Mother in action. Thus, there is no point in worshiping either a masculine or a feminine god at a distance, because you are being both the masculine and feminine God in action.

There is of course a spiritual office, called the Office of the Divine Mother, which is held by Mother Mary. And naturally, that office deserves respect and veneration, as does any other spiritual office. Yet respecting a spiritual office is not the same as worshiping the being currently holding that office. So the bottom line is that the sense of having to worship a distant god – whether male or female – springs entirely from the duality consciousness, which sees a distinction between “self” and “other.” Breaking down this distinction is what the path to personal Christhood or enlightenment is all about.

Is God’s love unconditional?

TOPICS: God has been portrayed as exclusively male – Taoism – Tai Chi – the roles of masculine and feminine – God’s law is not a restriction – no variance in God’s laws – God’s laws ensure stability and growth – God the Mother seems unconditional – you punish yourself – descending to a lower state of consciousness – difference between God’s law and God’s love –

Question: Some teachers say that the love of God the Father is conditional, whereas the love of God the Mother is unconditional. Is that true? When a lifestream begins to walk back to God, will it experience the unconditional love from the Father, or will that love always be conditional?

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

From the highest viewpoint, the love of God is always unconditional. God has only one kind of love and that love is completely and utterly unconditional. You do not have to do anything to earn God’s love because your earned that love when God created you. You must remember that God created you in its image and likeness. If you are created in the image and likeness of God, how could there be conditions to God’s love?

However, it is understandable that from the viewpoint of the lifestream, one can experience a difference in the love that comes from God the Father, or the masculine aspect of God, and the love that comes from God the Mother, or the feminine aspect of God.

One of the main problems in this context is that for thousands of years most western religions have portrayed God as being exclusively masculine and have basically ignored the feminine aspect of God. At the same time, so many religions have portrayed God as an angry and judgmental God who is ready to punish any lifestream for the slightest transgression of his law. As I have explained elsewhere, this image of God is incorrect. God is not an angry and judgmental God. God is a God of love and that love is unconditional.

To fully understand this, we need to look at a teaching that has been most beautifully described in the religion of Taoism. The Taoist symbol of the Tai-Chi depicts two elements of creation, normally called the yin and the yang elements. These two elements illustrate how the entire world of form is created. The world of form is created by an interaction of two complementary forces. In this context, I will call these forces for the Father and the Mother, symbolizing the masculine aspect of God and the feminine aspect of God.

The Father is the masculine, or active, principle which acts upon the Mother, or passive, principle. The role of the Father is to initiate the creative process and also set parameters for how that process will unfold. In other words, the Father is the one who defines the principles, or laws, that will guide the unfoldment of the world of form.

Before creation began, God the Father envisioned the world that he wanted to create. God has unlimited imagination and can create anything he can imagine. However, to create something that has form, you must make a choice. You must choose which form you will manifest, and when you make that choice you exclude other potential forms. There is nothing mystical or abstract about this. This is simply a matter of the mechanics of creating anything. Once you choose one form, it will exclude other forms because a thing cannot be round and square at the same time.

The important point here is that God defined a certain set of principles, or laws, that would guide the unfoldment, or evolution, of this universe. It is quite possible to create a universe that has different principles, but for this particular universe God chose a certain set of principles. These principles became the Laws of God. Everything in the entire universe is based on these laws.

Some human beings, and some dark beings who have rebelled against God’s Law, seem to think that God’s law is somehow a restriction. This viewpoint is not correct, and it is based on an incomplete understanding of the mechanics of creation. God’s law simply ensures consistency and sustainability. If creation was not based on a set of consistent laws, it might actually self-destruct or gradually degrade instead of growing indefinitely.

Let us return to the two elements that make up creation. The Father defines a set of laws and principles. The Father begins the creative process, and in doing so the Father imposes a certain form on the passive substance, or energy, of the Mother. The Mother, being the passive or reactive substance, will take on whatever form is projected upon her by the Father.

When you look at this from an overall perspective, you will see that there truly is no difference between the love of the Father and the love of the Mother. They are both love, and that love is unconditional. However the Father and Mother are playing different roles in creation.

It is the Father’s role to impose or define the laws and principles that guide the unfoldment of this particular universe. To ensure consistency, and to prevent the universe from self-destruction, God must impose these laws without any kind of variance. God is no respecter of persons, meaning that God will not change his laws just because some human beings, or some non-material beings, want them to be different so they can do as they please.

When God started the creation of this universe, God made a promise to the beings who inhabit this universe. God made the promise that they would have a set of invariable principles upon which they could build their individuality and within which they could express their creativity without destroying themselves. God cannot break that promise. Therefore, the Father’s laws are completely invariable.

When you look at this from the perspective of an unenlightened lifestream, a lifestream who does not understand the mechanics of creation, it might seem as if God’s laws are setting restrictions. It might seem as if God is requiring his sons and daughters to obey his laws without question. It might seem as if God will punish those who do not follow his laws. Therefore, it might seem as if the Father’s love is conditional.

In reality, there is a difference between God’s law and God’s love. As I said, God’s law is simply meant to insure a stable evolution of the universe. God’s law is meant to ensure that his sons and daughters have a stable platform for their personal evolution. To ensure this, God’s law must be firm. However, God’s love is not contingent upon a lifestream obeying his laws.

The problem in this context is that human beings have a tendency to project their own human qualities upon God. They think that because they get angry with their own children, God will also be angry with his children. This is not the case. God has simply created a set of laws, which state that if you misuse energy, certain consequences will be the result. When you understand how God’s law works, you see that God is not punishing you for violating his laws. Got has simply created an impersonal law, which will return to you what you have sown. Therefore, in reality you are punishing yourself.

When people begin to become aware of the feminine aspect of God, they often feel that the Mother is more unconditional than the Father. Again, this is understandable because an unenlightened lifestream does not yet understand the true nature of God and creation. I earlier said that the Mother will take on whatever form is imposed upon her by the Father. The Bible states that the first act of creation was that God said, “Let there be light.” Light is created from the feminine aspect of God. Light is a substance that has no form in itself, but it has the potential to take on any form.

When God created the spiritual beings, who currently see themselves as human beings, God created them in his image. A lifestream is created to have the same creative abilities as God. Therefore, the lifestream of a human being has the potential to create the same way God does by imposing a specific form upon light, or upon the divine Mother.

The mother aspect of God is reactive. The mother aspect will take upon herself whatever form you impose upon her. In other words, the Mother will let you do whatever you want, and that is why human beings have created the misery and suffering currently found on planet earth. This does not mean that God the Mother wanted this misery and suffering. But it does mean that God the Mother, by her very nature, will allow human beings to impose any form upon her.

What you now see is that God the Father has defined a set of laws and principles that are completely invariable. At the same time, God the Mother will take upon herself any form that you impose upon her. When you look at this situation from the perspective of an unenlightened lifestream, it will seem as if the Mother is unconditional because she lets your do to her whatever you want. At the same time, it seems as if the Father is conditional because the Father will never let you get away with anything.

When you step back from this situation and look at it from the perspective of an enlightened lifestream, you see that the Father and the Mother God are simply playing their respective roles in creation. Both the Father and the Mother have an unconditional love for your lifestream. That love will not change or die even if you disobey the Father’s laws and impose imperfect images upon the Mother.

However, what will happen when you disobey God’s law is that you will use the energies of the Mother to create a prison for your lifestream, a prison of misqualified energy. By creating this prison, you gradually make it more difficult for you to see yourself as a son or daughter of God. You gradually descend into a lower state of consciousness where you lose all awareness of your divine source. You no longer realize who you are, or you can no longer accept who you are.

You have been given free will. The very fact that you can misuse the energies of the Mother, and create a reality in which you think you are separated from God, should prove to you that the Father’s love is unconditional. If the Father’s love was conditional, why would the Father allow you to disobey his laws? Why would he allow you to cut yourself off from your source?

So when a lifestream becomes enlightened, it will begin to realize the difference between God’s law and God’s love. It can then gradually begin to accept God’s love, and this acceptance of the perfect love will cast out all of the lifestream’s fears, these fears being the primary cause that makes the lifestream feel separated from its source.

A lifestream might go through a phase in which it finds it easier to accept unconditional love from the Mother aspect of God, such as through a feminine deity or ascended being. This is why some people find it easier to relate to Mother Mary or her eastern counterpart, the Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin. However, as a lifestream matures, it will gradually begin to connect with the Father God and accept the unconditional love of the Father. This will allow the lifestream to balance its own masculine and feminine qualities and thereby become whole.
