(Not) enough time to fulfill your divine plan

Question: The masters have said that many of us in this dispensation are in our final embodiment on earth, of what is potentially our final embodiment. But if we are only at the 96th level of consciousness and some of us are well into the latter decades of this lifetime, then how would we be able to ascend the remaining levels between the 96th and 144th, express Christhood and do all of the things that we would have to do in the time we have left, in order to be ready to ascend at the end of this lifetime?

Well, you better get busy then, don’t you? Naturally I am trying to strike a lighter note here to avoid that you take our teachings and become frantic or obsessive-compulsive about it. We have seen this happen so many times in past dispensations, where people have become so concerned about all the things they think they have to do that they almost panic. They almost have a nervous breakdown because they create such a pressure for themselves.

But take care to look at what we have said. If you are an ascended master student and you are above a certain age, but it is part of your divine plan to ascend after this lifetime, then you would not have made this part of your divine plan unless it was an attainable goal. This means that if it was part of your divine plan to discover the teachings at a certain age, it is still possible for you to qualify for your ascension. You need to, of course, be diligent in applying the tools, resolving all of these separate selves, the birth trauma and so on. But if you are in the later stages of life there will not be so many outer things you have to do in your divine plan.

When you are at a certain age it is legitimate to not be so concerned about doing outer things but to focus on the transformation of your psychology as the most important steps you can take for the rest of this lifetime. But do not panic. If it is part of your divine plan you can make it. But even if you do not make it you can come back into another lifetime and make it then. There is no need to be in panic about your divine plan because your divine plan is based on a realistic assessment.

What you need to be careful about is that you do not allow your outer mind to create some standard or image for what you are supposed to achieve in order to ascend and project this upon the process because you cannot ascend through the outer mind and the expectations created by the outer mind. You need to be careful to study our teachings to work on these separate selves and dismiss them so you can get a stronger intuitive connection of what exactly it is you have to transcend, what exactly it is you have to do in order to attain maximum progress for the rest of this lifetime.

A handbook for teenagers

Question: Jesus, would you consider bringing out a book specifically geared for teenagers or young adults who are not aware of a spiritual side to life, but who still need answers to the problems they face, even if they do not realize that the answers come from you or another ascended master, like a handbook for teenagers?

Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 New Year’s webinar – Being a spiritual person in a chaotic world.

Well, certainly, I and other ascended masters would consider sponsoring or bringing forth the ideas for such a book, but we have no intention of doing it through this messenger. This messenger does not have any specific experience or expertise in working with teenagers. But there are, of course, ascended master students who have this experience.

You can consider that you could be the authors of this book, not that you take it as a dictation, but that you are inspired by us, use your experience, use other material in the field, and therefore, you are the instruments, you are the open doors for bringing forth such a book. It can also be done by people who are not aware of ascended masters, but certainly there are ascended master students who have this as part of their divine plan.

Do not idolize the messenger and think that only the messenger can bring forth something from the ascended masters. Many of you have this as part of your divine plan to take the teachings of the ascended masters, get direct inspiration from us, but also combine it with the expertise in your specific field of interest and bring forth a book or something else that can inspire other people.

Investing vs. speculating: What’s the difference?

Question: Could Saint Germain comment on his statement that in the golden age economy, money should not be used to make more money? Does this mean that loans should be interest-free? More generally, what kinds of investments are most aligned with the golden age? 

Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 New Year’s webinar – Being a spiritual person in a chaotic world.

It has been said by business people that the hardest thing to do is to make your first million dollars. Once you have your first million, the money will start making money by itself, even without you having to do work or put your attention on it and therefore the money accumulates, builds of itself. And this is the economy that the fallen beings have set up, where you can make money without performing work, bringing forth an invention or giving service to life. This is not multiplying the talents because you are not seeking to raise up life but only yourself by making money.

This has many ramifications, as one example, let us look at the stock market. Originally, the entire idea of a stock market was conceived for a way for a business to raise capital to expand the business without having to go to a bank and take a bank loan. The business creates certain pieces of paper that are shares in the business. They sell these to people and people buy these shares because they are hoping that when the business uses the money to expand it will make more money. In return for this, the business promises to pay the shareholders a certain dividend per share. The more shares people have, the more they will be paid out but the size of the dividend per share will depend on the amount of profit that the business makes. This is, even in the golden age, a legitimate investment. It is even legitimate for the people who buy the shares because they are helping the business expand and the business will produce a product or provide a service that then benefits the customers and so forth.

What the fallen beings have done is that they have created an artificial overlay on top of the stock market, where now they are trading stocks not based on the dividends that they expect to get but based on the assumption that the stock prices will go up, so in some future time they can sell the stocks for more than they paid for them.
This is speculation. Buying stocks in order to get the dividend is an investment. Buying stocks in order to sell them at a higher price regardless of the dividends paid by the company is speculation.

Now, speculation is and can only be a pyramid scheme. You look at the stock market. You can go back decades. You can see what level the New York Stock Exchange was at 50 years ago and what level it is at today. You can see that even though there have been some ups and downs, the general trend has been up. But ask yourself, how can stock prices continue to go up?

Well, there is only one way because there is continually new people who are entering the stock market and buying stock. And all of these people are part of this drive that they are not buying the stock because of the dividends that they can be paid out, they are buying the stock by speculation that the stock price will continue to increase, so one day the stocks will be worth more than they paid for them. And for some time now in America, it has been that people’s pension plans have been used to invest in the stock market in order to give people supposedly a bigger return. But this is a pyramid scheme and you know what is the basis of a pyramid scheme. As long as you can attract new people who are buying into the scheme, those at the top can continue to make money. But if you come to a point where you are not attracting new people, then the entire pyramid will collapse. And this is what can and at some point must happen to the stock market.

The same goes for other kinds of speculation, such as what you see now, the enormous speculation and profit taking in the energy market and in food and commodities. Consumers around the world are paying much more for energy, much more for basic necessities than they would be paying if there was not this speculation. This is not providing a service to life. This is a small elite taking advantage of the majority of the population. It obviously is not something that can continue in the golden age. The same thing could be said about loans and interest. In the golden age, there will not be banks that provide loans by creating money out of nothing and charging interest then offering this money created out of nothing. Instead there would be other ways to extend credit as a form of investment in society. For the growth of society, you can extend credit to individuals or businesses.

Basically, as I have said before, the guideline for the golden age economy is you provide a service by either providing a product, bringing forth an invention or new idea, or by serving other people in various ways. This can be something as simple as cutting their hair. You are not producing a product, you are not bringing forth any new invention but people cannot cut their own hair so you are providing a service and it is legitimate to make money on this. This is going to be the guideline for the golden age economy.

And these kind of investments that can only be done by people who already have money will simply be stopped by society because society will see that it is to the detriment of the population and the entire economy. It actually lowers the level of the entire economy. If you had not allowed the top 2% of the United States to accumulate more than 90% of the wealth, the US economy would have been at a much higher level where the average income, the average standard of living, would have been considerably higher than it is today.

Radiating into the collective consciousness vs. psychic projections

Question: Can the masters please comment on the difference between radiating into the collective consciousness and psychic projections?

Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 New Year’s webinar – Being a spiritual person in a chaotic world.

Well, there are different ways to describe this. A psychic projection can be seen as a projection that attempts to interfere with other people’s minds in order to influence their free will. You can have people and it can, for example, be family members, who are projecting certain emotions, certain thoughts and even a sense of identity into your mind, in order to cause you to identify yourself with a group or stay in the group. This will then be a psychic projection because the intention is to influence your mind, to limit your free will and keep you in a certain state of mind.

When we talk about radiating into the collective consciousness, we are not talking about influencing the choices people make. We are talking about giving them a choice, setting them free to make a choice that they cannot make now because there are certain things they cannot see. When we are radiating an idea and when you give invocations and decrees or listen to a dictation, we are not seeking to force people to make a given choice. We are seeking to radiate an idea that makes people see that they actually have certain options that they could not see before. This does not mean we are influencing what they choose but we are expanding the options they can see thereby giving them a more free choice. This is the simplest most basic way to explain it.

Moving away from family 

Question: I have a question to the masters, I live in the Middle East and part of being here is to always have contact and some relationship with the family. I felt free to at least, hopefully, finally move on from them totally, at least in the mind, after reading Mother Mary’s dictation: Cutting ties with your family members. Sometimes I feel stuck because my spouse is not growing and neither are my parents or siblings, only my daughter is growing and we share this together. Being with them sometimes feels like suffocating. They are not open to change and I also let go of any attachment to change them. They always project certain expectations at me and it is always about finding that balance to keep coexisting. Sometimes, I feel I want to be free and later in life move far away so I can be myself more freely even on the outer and not just the inner. I know that this should not be a fear-based decision but also maybe staying is also fear-based. I know there can be many right decisions but would appreciate any input on this situation.

Well, this of course, needs to be an individual decision. Many people are, of course, in a similar situation, not just in the Middle East. One of the challenges you face on the spiritual path is, as we have said, to raise your own consciousness above the collective consciousness and this is clearly manifest in your family relationships. Your family is constantly trying to pull you to stay at their level of consciousness because they do not want to change. How do you deal with this?

Well, again it must be an individual decision and it is perfectly true that it should not come from fear. It is also true that staying can very well be a fear-based decision because you fear what might happen if you move, how your family would react, how you would feel if you did not have the closeness with your family, if you suddenly were alone or with just a few people and did not have an extended family and you were in an unknown situation. The best you can do is use our tools and teachings on the separate selves. You can use these tools to identify what separate selves you have relating to your family but even going back to your birth trauma and realizing that many people after the birth trauma felt alone in a dangerous world. And over succeeding lifetimes you built this desire to always belong to some kind of group so you were not standing alone. And this is what is often the basis for these family ties where you feel attached to a family, may not be the same people but you have this self that feels that you can only be safe in a group.

When you bring these selves into the conscious awareness, look at them and let them die, then you will be more free to make a decision that is not fear-based. There are certainly a large number of spiritual people who have it as part of their divine plan to move to a different environment, not necessarily a different country but certainly move away from their family, so they have an opportunity to start over. It has been said by the Buddha that moving away from your home country is accomplishing half the dharma and even though this is not the case for everyone, there is some truth in it.

This messenger when he moved away from his family and moved to another country where he had no family, suddenly realized that nobody knew him, nobody had any expectations of him and he, therefore, had the freedom to remake himself based on what kind of person he wanted to be. This can certainly be an opportunity to start a new phase of your life, a new phase of your spiritual path. This is something you can consider but again you can best make the decisions when you look at the separate selves and dismiss them, often then you do not even have to make a decision with the outer mind. It just becomes obvious what is the next step for you to take.

What would Guru Ma do today? 

Question: I have a question for Guru Ma. In the Summit Lighthouse, you and so many of the dictations of the ascended masters implored us to give our decrees, lots of decree work. More and more decrees. Present dictations seem rather low-key when it comes to this. If you were in embodiment now and in a similar position as you were in in your last lifetime, what would you recommend your students do when it comes to daily decree work, especially in conjunction with the invocations that are done by the worldwide student body? Why is there such a more relaxed attitude in the giving of decrees today?

Answer from the Ascended Master Guru Ma through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 New Year’s webinar – Being a spiritual person in a chaotic world.

Well, it is actually quite an interesting question. If I was in embodiment today and in a similar situation, what would I do? It is interesting not only about decrees, but about many other things. If I was in embodiment today and I was the head of a fairly large spiritual organization, what would I do?

Well, you can take several approaches to this. You could go back and look at how I was as the leader of the Summit Lighthouse and you could say: “Surely Guru Ma would be the same kind of leader today. She would lead an organization the same way and have the same approach that she had back then.”

This is what many of the members of the Summit Lighthouse, the current members, would reason if they were faced with this question: “Surely everything would be back to the good old days where we knew what we had to do and everything was clear cut and there were rules for everything.”

But this is based on an assumption, is it not? Is it not based on the assumption that if I was still in embodiment today, I would not have grown in consciousness, I would not have progressed in consciousness in those more than 20 years since I became ill? Hopefully that would be a very unrealistic scenario. In fact, if you were to look at it realistically, you would see, as this messenger was actually aware while he was a member of the Summit Lighthouse, that I did progress in consciousness. I actually rose to a higher level of consciousness after the so-called shelter cycle, and that is why I attempted to set the organization on a different course. You could say that just because of my own progression in consciousness, I would do things differently in many ways than I did back then.

But the other aspect is, of course, that the earth has moved on, cycles have moved on, time has moved on. It is important to recognize that the Summit Lighthouse was the last organization, or dispensation, that could be sponsored by the ascended masters in the Piscean Age. This means that, as different masters have talked about before, there were various things that had to be done in a more extreme manner in order to help people, and in order to help the planet and the collective consciousness make the best possible transition from Pisces to Aquarius. This necessitated lots of decree work both for a number of individual people but also for the planet and the collective consciousness. You can certainly look back at how many people we had decreeing, sometimes over 3,000 for a summer conference, often up to 1,000 for other conferences, and they decreed for several hours, and you can certainly see that there were literally certain very dramatic events that were avoided because of this decree work.

You can also go back and say that there was a certain number of students who absolutely needed to give that amount of decrees in order to balance their karma. Basically, you can say that the Summit Lighthouse was an attempt to take what was unfulfilled, the initiations that were unfulfilled in Pisces, and compress them into just a few decades to give individual students who had not passed these initiations an opportunity, and to give the planet an opportunity, to make the transition into Aquarius in a better way. And the Summit Lighthouse had a major positive effect on this. There is no question about it.

But you also need to recognize, then, that we are now in the Aquarian Age, and therefore things have changed. You also need to recognize that this is a different dispensation. While there are a few people that have moved on from the Summit Lighthouse to this dispensation, the majority obviously have not and are not meant to. It was never the intention of the ascended masters that they would move on to this dispensation, for various reasons that I need not go into because people will misinterpret them in various ways.

But you now have a group of people who do not need to give so many decrees. And you could say: “What about the world, is there not a need?” Well, yes, there is always a need for decrees. But in the Aquarian Age, you need to balance this because you are now in the beginning stages of the Aquarian Age instead of being at the ending stages of the Piscean Age.

Even if we had thousands of people in this dispensation, we still would not require them to give as many decrees as the students in the Summit Lighthouse gave because it is not the focus right now for the ascended masters to avoid dramatic or calamitous events. The focus is on raising people or raising the collective consciousness. For some this will mean that they need to experience the hard knocks. That is the only thing that can awaken them. We do not want you to be a buffer zone between people and the hard knocks that can awaken them to take a new course because this will actually slow down the progression towards the Aquarian Age or the golden age.

Now you may say: “Is this not a contradiction?” Well, yes and no. You can always use the linear mind to take a single statement out of a teaching, take another statement out of another teaching, compare the two and say: “This sounds like a contradiction.” But it is not from a higher perspective. There is always a balance to be found. It is not that we do not want people to give decrees. It is not that we do not want to avoid certain events. But we do not want to avoid as many events in the Aquarian Age as we did in the end of Pisces because the consequences could have been more severe. For example, the consequences of a nuclear war would have been far more severe and far more long ranging than almost any other event you can imagine.

There is always a need to recognize that we of the ascended masters move on. You can go back, you can look at the I AM movement, and you can see that there was a different focus in the I AM movement than there was in the Summit Lighthouse. There were students from the I AM movement that heard about the Summit Lighthouse but rejected it because of those differences. They were not willing to step back and say: “Could there be a reason why the ascended masters have changed the focus? Is it because the ascended masters know more than we do?” But there were students who used the I AM teachings to get themselves into a frame of mind that they were the most advanced teachings on the planet. They had a grasp of the I AM teachings, and they did not need to step up to another level. And this, of course, is where we must respect free will.

But again, a certain dispensation is given for people at a certain level of consciousness. It can be no other way. Obviously, Gautama Buddha was perfectly aware of the teachings on non-duality in the 1980s. I would have been perfectly willing to take any dictation from him that would have talked about these issues. But the cycle was not there because this was not a teaching that really could be given in the Piscean Age. That is why you see that now these teachings are being given by various masters because they are needed, but also because this dispensation is meant to reach people who can actually grasp and make use of these teachings. There is no reason to give a teaching to a group of people that is higher than their level of consciousness so they cannot grasp it.

Again, this will be an unpopular teaching with some people who will think that they are the most advanced students and therefore there could not be a teaching that they could not grasp. But I did not say that this was because they were deficient in some way. It is because they do not need that teaching in order to reach their spiritual goals, whatever they may be. It is possible to ascend without knowing about duality and non-duality. It is possible to ascend with the teachings of the I Am Movement and with the teachings of the Summit Lighthouse.

But for those people who are at a level where they can grasp these teachings, well, they are the ones for which this dispensation is designed. If you come from a background of a previous dispensation, the Summit or others, and you become aware of this dispensation, you need to ask yourself why you even became aware of it, why you were willing to participate in it. And it is most likely because you are part of that mandala. I am in no way saying that all people in the Summit Lighthouse did not need the teachings on non-duality. There were many levels of consciousness of the people, and some were definitely ready to grasp this teaching and therefore they can benefit from moving on.

There are always, in any dispensation, levels of teachings, levels of students, and there are outer reasons for it. The important point is to not take one teaching and create a certain mental image and transfer that either to another dispensation or to the future, for the indefinite future. It is not constructive to say: “Well, this was said in the Summit Lighthouse in 1984, so if this was a true teaching coming from the ascended masters, it should be valid for all time to come.” Much of what was said in the Summit was timeless, but much of what was said was given specifically for the end of the Piscean Age. It does not mean that it is false, or false today, or that it is invalid today because there are still people in the Piscean consciousness. But it is not constructive that people who have moved on into the Aquarian consciousness become attached to some of these teachings. You can still benefit from studying the teachings, but you need to be careful not to take something that was said specifically for the Piscean Age and think that this should be valid today.

I know very well that one of the most difficult things for students of any spiritual movement is to move on. I saw how people from the I AM Movement came in contact with the Summit Lighthouse, perhaps came to a conference, and I saw how they struggled. I have seen, of course, how some people from the Summit have found this dispensation and have struggled with it. I have even seen those who have found other people who claim to be messengers who have taken over for Mark and myself and how they have struggled with this. I know it is always difficult to move on. I applaud those who have been willing to do so. I can only say if you are willing to move on, take my book, study it, internalize it, call to me, ask me to help you see if it is in your divine plan to move on. Do not decide with the outer mind. Get direction from within. I will give this to my previous students personally if they ask for it and if they open their minds so they are neutral and do not have a conscious or subconscious intent of getting a specific answer.

Mental images vs. direct experience 

Question: At a certain moment of our spiritual journey, we are faced with a need to get rid of all images that we have created about our identity, our masters, God and all our experiences. But this seems like a very hard task to accomplish. In fact, on one hand, we are so used to seeing ourselves, God, our masters, our experiences through the filters of our material bodies that we have been using for eons that it is an incredibly difficult task to let all those images go. But we know that until we manage to do it, we will stay in duality and cannot really unite with our I Am Presence, our masters, our true beings. But, on the other hand, how do we go up in our spiritual path? Is it not really by creating a new image of ourselves, our masters and so on? For instance, when we are attuned to our I Am Presence and feel the love coming from the core of our being and formulate the desire: “I want to be an instrument of love”, we are creating a new image of our identity. 

And if we are attuned to our masters and feel that the single-eyed vision that makes us grow is true freedom that is inseparable from unconditional love, are we not creating another image? But we know that all images create a separation, a filter that is still duality. 

How, truly, are we going to escape duality and ascend? What does it take to cancel the separation of the images? Is it the deep and absolute love of our I Am Presence that we can feel when we silence our analytical mind and just listen, and then at some moment, a quantum leap will happen, and we will need no more images between us and our true identity, our masters and God?

Answer from the Ascended Master Gautama Buddha through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 New Year’s webinar – Being a spiritual person in a chaotic world.

Well, as one possible way to deal with this paradox, which is a paradox that all of us have had to deal with, you can make a distinction between images and direct experience. What happens on the early stages of the spiritual path is that you find a spiritual teaching that talks about ascended masters, your I Am Presence, the possibility to ascend, and you, of course, look at that teaching through your present level of consciousness. You filter it through your present level. As a result of that, you superimpose certain images upon it. But these images come from the mind that is already blinded by separation and duality. They are images based on separation, and as long as you hold on to them, are attached to them, they will, of course, only reinforce the sense of separation, or at least keep you in separation.

What you can do is you engage in a path where you use decrees and invocations to transform the energies that are based on these images and that pull on your mind to accept and continue to accept the images. You can use our teachings to begin to question the images and realize, for example, that an ascended master is much more than any image. This is something that students in previous dispensations have not really paid much attention to. They have formulated a very, very fixed image of certain masters, for example, El Morya, and they were very reluctant to question it, which is why El Morya decided to change his name to Master More, to simply shock them and force them to deal with this, either reject it or accept it.

What is the alternative? Well, it is the teachings we have given about the Conscious You and your ability to step outside your four lower bodies and have some kind of intuitive mystical experience. This is a direct experience that is not filtered through your four lower bodies and images. The challenge after you have such an experience is that you do not superimpose the images upon it when you process or interpret the experience. In fact, you should strive not to interpret the experience and not to process it through your normal perception filter. You should be very careful not to let a mystical experience validate your present perception filter.

The question is, of course, how do you have such an experience? How do you free the Conscious You from its identification with the outer mind? Well, again, the only answer is to really walk the path, apply the tools and, as I said recently here, when you clear your emotional, mental and identity mind of the illusions and the energies, you will begin to see more clearly because there is not so much obstruction to experiencing directly your I Am Presence and the ascended masters.

It is true that as you walk the path, as you transcend a certain level of the path, you will create other images. We have said that you will have certain illusions with you until the 144th level. You always have a certain image because if you did not have a certain image of yourself in relation to earth, how would you relate to earth? How would you even stay in the physical body? There are certain images that you keep with you or, rather, you refine your images, and you always have certain images with you on the path. But this is just part of the path and something you need to accept. You can, of course, come to a point where, especially when you pass the initiation of the 96th level, where you less and less base those images on duality and separation and you refine the images. Not all images are dualistic. They are just a necessary vehicle for interacting with the material universe.

How to deal with sexual projections 

Question: Can I use the method Mother Mary mentioned in the answer of How to Break the Addiction to Sex to prevent myself from having unwanted wet dreams, nocturnal emissions, by preventing myself from allowing energy to go into my base chakra and build in intensity? If so, Mother Mary, could you explain more in detail the meaning of the words: “partly by decrees, partly by awareness, partly by willpower” in the answer: 

“You can come to a point where you learn to stop this fire before it even begins. You can stop yourself from allowing energy to go into yourself, from allowing energy to go into your base chakra, and build in intensity. You could do this partly by decrees, partly by awareness, partly by willpower, partly by when you feel this to direct your attention on something else, not allowing your attention to dwell on the topic of sex or related issues.”

Well, you can certainly use the teachings and the tools to deal with any issue related to sex or any issue related to addictions. It is, of course, important to give decrees for your spiritual protection and Astrea for cutting you free. It is also important to have a certain willpower where you simply decide: “I will not let these energies build up.”

It is also important for you to simply be aware that there are these external projections against your chakras and your desire body, your emotional body. By becoming aware of it, you can actually come to a point where you intuitively sense this. You can actually come to the point where you feel in your base chakra when there is a projection that stirs up your base chakra. And that is when you can then decide: “I will not allow this.” If it persists, you give decrees for protection and for cutting you free, and you visualize, for example, my image over your base chakra or take other measures.

Any issue related to addictions, and for that matter many other issues, have to do with the buildup of energy in your chakras until it becomes so intense that it pulls on or even overpowers your conscious mind. You can actually apply this to all of the chakras and come to that awareness where you sense when a chakra is receiving a projection or when there has been a gradual buildup in a chakra and therefore you can do something about this. Many of you could start with the solar plexus chakra and realize when it is stirred up and you are not feeling at peace. This is especially important after a difficult year like 2022 where there have been many impulses that have impinged upon your solar plexus chakras, seeking to take away your peace. But it applies certainly to all of the chakras.

Do we need to know our spiritual origin?

Question: Beloved masters, thank you for guiding our transcendence and for answering our questions. I would like to know how to know the beginnings of one’s embodiment after God initially created us. Which planet did one come from, whether one is an avatar or otherwise? If one was an original volunteer with Sanat Kumara’s mission on planet earth, did one need to attend Lord Maitreya’s school as preparation to come to earth from elsewhere? And if one left his school prematurely, could they have been a part of Sanat Kumara’s team and if and why did one leave?

Well, you need to appreciate here the fact that there are many different kinds of people on earth from many different backgrounds, therefore, it is impossible to give a general answer to such questions. They can only be resolved on an individual level by you using your intuition and getting guidance directly from within, from your Christ self, from your ascended teachers, from your I Am Presence.

But you need to also consider here, why do you want to know this? What difference would it make for your spiritual growth if you knew where you came from originally or what was the first planet on which you took embodiment? The important thing is to consider: “How do I move on from here? How do I take the next step? How do I qualify for my ascension and fulfill my divine plan?” There is plenty of time either in between embodiments, or after you ascend, to resolve such questions.

There are many, many spiritual students who become sometimes almost obsessed by resolving these kind of questions, and it is, quite frankly, often because they still have this desire to feel special compared to others. We have, in previous dispensations, seen how after we gave the teachings about Sanat Kumara and the people from Venus, there were certain people that became convinced that they were from Venus, for example because they had a certain hair color. And they became very prideful about this, and it actually held back their progress on the spiritual path. It is not so important to know whether you were in Maitreya’s mystery school or not, and what caused you to leave,

What is important is to intuitively sense what are the things you need to overcome in this lifetime. What are the challenges that you defined in your divine plan that you wanted to overcome in this lifetime, and then focus on resolving your psychology by using all of the tools. Now, if you take the books, especially Healing Your Spiritual Traumas, and use those tools, you might get insights about your past, your past lifetimes, where you came from. And you might not. Because if it is not important for you to know, then you will not get those insights. And then you need to simply accept that and say: “Well, there are so many other things to focus on that I will not spend my time and attention on this.”

Economic forecast 2023

Question: What is the probability that the US global economy will go through another collapse as has been spoken about in recent dictations? Right now, we seem to be in a recession caused by the central banks and inflation. Is there a current possibility that we could see a gradual shift in the economy rather than an all-out collapse?

Well, there is certainly a potential for a collapse. There is also a potential for a gradual change. It is not, of course, without thought that we have had you focus your Mother Mary 500 Vigil on the economy for so long and will continue to do so. There is currently around a 30% chance of a large-scale economic collapse, or at least a crisis similar in severity to the 2008 crisis. There is also a 30% chance of a gradual transition where any major crisis can be avoided, and then there are various scenarios in between with some gradual changes and some more severe crises.

This does not necessarily help you very much, but at least it gives you the impression that it is worthwhile for you to give these vigils on the economy because they have already had a positive effect and more can be achieved in the coming year. Naturally, war will be a big topic in 2023, but still, as we said for 2022, the underlying issue in the world is the economy and what will happen in the economy.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Question: The question is about the ascended master perspective on testosterone replacement therapy. It has become a very popular health treatment in the United States for men and sometimes women to begin TRT, testosterone replacement therapy. It is said that the average testosterone has dropped 50% since 1950 because of toxins and hormone disruptors in our environment. I recently started TRT and feel much better with increased muscle mass and better mood, sleep, etc. But I am a little hesitant to be on this for the rest of my life. I am curious to hear the ascended perspective on this treatment.

Well, you need to, of course, look at what has been said by the medical profession about this. It was developed to treat a specific medical condition, not to generally make you feel better or give you greater energy or vitality. You need to consult with your physician based on his evaluation of your health and especially the potential side effects. You will see easily that there are certain side effects that could potentially be serious. I recommend that you pay close attention to this. Use your intuition to see whether this is for you at all or how long you should stay on the treatment if you have entered it.

Obviously, there cannot be a general answer to this as it depends on your specific body’s condition. But I will say that the medical science currently is so focused on treating symptoms that again, they take, as Gautama Buddha mentioned, they isolate a certain phenomenon, a certain effect. They look for an isolated cause and then they attempt to treat that cause. And this is, of course, not the highest approach because the general drop in energy and vitality is not just caused by a lack of testosterone. It is caused by many factors. It can even be caused by psychological factors in many people when they reach a certain age.

There are many factors to consider here. It is not the highest approach to single out a certain single symptom and a single cause, and then attempt to treat this by interfering with some of these very subtle, intricate systems in the body. There is currently not enough understanding of how the hormonal system works and many other systems in the body, to really allow the medical profession to come up with treatments that do not have unintended side effects. There are known side effects to testosterone replacement, but there are also unknown side effects that science cannot even currently imagine because they do not look at the body or even the body-mind as a whole.

How to help your country of birth 

Question: I know the masters have given some teachings regarding Haiti in response to certain questions that were asked in the past. However, since Haiti’s situation continues to deteriorate, I was wondering how can I help? I was born and raised in Haiti and seeing the current situation is heartbreaking to say the least.

Well, as an individual, you need to recognize that there is a limit to what you can do against the collective consciousness. If the collective consciousness or a critical mass of people are not willing to transcend themselves, there is not that much you can do as an individual. But, of course, you need to tune into your divine plan and see whether it is in your divine plan to do something physically in the country by being in the country and taking part in the process that is happening, or whether it is more in your divine plan to stay away from there and potentially also make the calls.

The fact that you are born and raised somewhere does not necessarily mean that it is in your divine plan to work with that country. It can be that it was simply a place for you to be born and you are meant to take certain experiences from there but then move on to another country and apply those experiences there. But it could also be that it is part of your divine plan to do something. It can also be that it is part of your divine plan to do the only thing you really can do in many cases, which is to make the calls. Use our invocations and decrees to make calls for specific people or for the collective consciousness in general. You could even take one of the invocations that talk about world conditions and rewrite it to make specific calls for Haiti, in between the decrees to the masters. You could, of course, also attempt to find other spiritually minded people from Haiti and create some kind of decree vigil where you have the multiplication factor of more people.

More universal decrees? 

Question: Masters, is it possible to change decrees a bit to make them more universal? This means not mentioning the names of ascended masters but words like “life”. Would these decrees still invoke the light of the ascended masters or does the person have to call for the ascended masters or archangels by their names?

You can make decrees that are more universal and that will have some effect, but not the same effect as when you call to a specific master by name. There is a reason why we have given our decrees with the names of ascended masters because if people are not open to calling directly to ascended masters, they are not really in a level of consciousness where they can make maximum use of decrees and invocations.

You could create more easily, some invocations that are more universal and they could still have an effect because many of them address psychological conditions. Certainly, you could take some of the invocations that deal with psychology and make them more universal.

Challenges Facing Colombia

Question: Masters, what is the Colombian population (South America) ready to transcend right now?

Well, there are actually several things that are up for transformation in the collective consciousness of Colombia. First of all, there is the need for people to step up to a higher level of humanity and recognize, as we have said before, that there are some of these movements in South America where there are certain leaders that have been labeled as socialist or left wing but they actually have a higher level of humanity than the leaders on the right wing. This is not necessarily socialism, it is humanity.

Then there is, of course, the entire challenge of drugs that the economy has become so dependent on that there are many people who seriously doubt that the economy could survive without the cocaine trade. This is something that it is necessary for a critical mass of people to transcend. Where they realize that there is actually a way forward whereby Colombia could manifest a viable economy without the drug trade, and without the drug cartels influencing politics and the economy and other aspects of society. It is possible to get Colombia off the cocaine addiction in an economic sense, and this will be somewhat of a challenge, but it is a potential.

Then there is, of course, the general trend in all, or virtually all South American and Central American countries of transcending the Catholic Church, the Catholic mindset, and the Catholic influence on society, especially on politics and on the way people look at themselves. The Catholic Church, with the entire concept of sin, is a very significant factor in holding back growth in Central and South America because people feel unworthy—they feel they are sinners and this pacifies them and makes them powerless to make some of the changes that could be made if they were more willing to accept their self-worth and to stand up for their self-worth when their leaders are being abusive.

The Catholic Church is, of course, in the process of losing influence in some countries. There has been the exposure of sex scandals. There will be more of this in the coming years unless people voluntarily transcend the Catholic mindset. If they do not, then they will learn through the School of Hard Knocks as has already happened in some countries.

Can winning the World Cup change Argentina?

Question: Against the background of social and economic crisis and a profound division in our society, Argentina won the World Cup in Qatar, triggering an unprecedented unanimous feeling for a month. Was this unifying momentum used by the ascended masters to help raise the Argentinian collective consciousness?

Yes, of course. When there is an event like this, we always seek to work with it to raise the collective. But, of course, this depends on what people are willing to do. You often see in events like this that there is a certain euphoria because of this unprecedented thing, or in Argentina’s case not quite unprecedented thing, that happened. But you also see that when the honeymoon is over, so to speak, people are again faced with the daily problems and they are often not able to take the euphoria and transfer it to how they deal with the daily problems. It is not something that necessarily has a huge effect because it all depends on what people are willing to do with it. But there is always the potential that people can carry some of the enthusiasm over into other areas of society than just the sports, or whatever it may be, so that it can lead to a positive change.

In this case, there is a potential that Argentina or the collective consciousness in Argentina, could recognize that they do have a sense of worth. They are able to achieve something. The question is whether they can then transfer this and say: “Well, we must be able to achieve other things as well. It cannot just be about kicking a ball around on a field. We must have other abilities and we must activate and use them.” And this is, of course, not something that we can tell people directly but we can always hope that they see this, and at least some people see it and therefore it can become an upward trend.

How to work with young people 

Question: I feel that my divine plan is working with the youth and maybe more with girls. I want to teach classes about the creation of relationships with the opposite sex, about the creation of a mature family. Could teachers give me insights, what is the most important things to highlight for young people at this time? Now I have information and material about that mostly based on Catholic teachings, their collected researches and films.

Well, depending on the country you live in and the culture there and what is the dominant religion, you cannot, in most cases, bring forth ascended master teachings directly. At least you cannot state where they come from. You will have to try to take our teachings and make them more universal so that they do not require people to believe in ascended masters or believe in karma or reincarnation or these kind of things. In a Catholic country it will be difficult to make people believe in reincarnation, and certainly ascended masters.

You may have to adapt somewhat to the culture in which you live in but you need to find a way to describe it in universal terms, which really can be focused on the psychology. What is it that makes you function as an individual? It is the psychology, the resolution of psychology. What is it that makes people unable to function in society? It is their psychology. What is it that helps you have a mature relationship? It is also that you resolve your psychology, that you understand something about your partner’s psychology and can help the partner resolve his psychology. How do you become a mature parent? It is again, resolution of your psychology.

Many, many young people in today’s age are quite aware that their parents had difficult or unresolved psychology that affected their childhood in profound ways, and they have a desire to escape this and raise themselves above it and so this is the place to start. Look at where people are at, look at some of the dysfunctional patterns in relationships and then show people how they can learn to resolve the psychology behind it, so they can free themselves of what they saw in their parents’ generation.

Embodiment in a family with a lower level of consciousness

Question: If we reach a higher level of consciousness in a previous lifetime on earth can we voluntarily immerse in a lower state of consciousness within a certain family and nation so as to awaken from there and help elevate the collective mind?

Well, the short answer is yes, and it is in fact a rather common scenario. It can be for different reasons that you volunteer to do this. There are some times where you have karma with a certain person that is in a lower state of consciousness and therefore you want to embody with that person. In order to do this, you have to go down to a lower level of consciousness to even embody in that family. But when you do this, of course, you have an opportunity to more quickly rise back to the level of consciousness you had before.

There are also some times that you can have a desire to help a certain person. It can even be an attachment to help a certain person or group of people, and therefore you volunteer to go down to their level to show them there is an alternative and there is a path beyond their level.

It is not uncommon, in fact, in a certain sense you could say that anybody who has the potential to ascend after this lifetime will have reached a fairly high level of consciousness in their last embodiment, and in order to even come into embodiment in this lifetime, you had to be born in a family with a lower level of consciousness because there are not that many opportunities to be born in a family with a high level of consciousness.

There are many more people who have reached a higher level of consciousness in their last lifetime than there are families with a high level of consciousness. If it is in your divine plan to ascend, then most likely you have had to embody in a family with a lower level of consciousness. This also applies to some people whose choice it is to not ascend, but to embody again to help manifest the golden age.

Avatars and the resolution of the enigma of free will 

Question: The teachings have mentioned that we, as avatars, may have come here with a misunderstanding of free will or at least against the advice of our teachers in a higher realm. Yet there are also other teachings saying that avatars volunteered to embody as an act of service to humanity to give humanity a choice to follow the fallen beings or the avatars. Could the masters comment on these two seemingly different teachings?

Well, first of all, there are different groups of avatars who have come from different natural planets and they have had different reasons or motivations for coming to earth. But second of all, you need to realize that these two are not mutually incompatible, they are not mutually exclusive. You can volunteer, in your mind, to embody on a lower planet in order to hold a spiritual balance and give people an alternative to the fallen beings while you still have a certain misunderstanding of free will. This is, in fact, a very common scenario for most avatars who have come to earth.

Do not misunderstand this, we are not saying that you are not giving a service by embodying on earth. We are not saying that we do not want avatars to embody on earth as a counterbalance to the fallen beings. It is not necessarily that you embody on earth against the advice of your spiritual teachers, but that you did not grasp what your spiritual teachers were trying to tell you about free will and how it works itself out on an unnatural planet.

You understand that there are some avatars that did not grasp the significance of free will but wanted to embody here as a service. There are other avatars that had started grasping the significance of free will but they knew there was something they had not quite locked into. Part of their motivation for coming to earth was to learn, to grasp what they had not grasped. There are complex reasons for why an avatar comes to earth, and we have also said that you can have one reason in what is the equivalent of your conscious mind, but there can be deeper reasons that you are not quite seeing and that you then can come to see now, and which is the key to your ascension from an unnatural planet—that you come to see what you did not see on a natural planet and resolve what you did not resolve on a natural planet.

But there are certainly different groups of avatars on earth and we have started somewhere by giving some teachings and will eventually give more and more until we hopefully cover the entire spectrum.

Other golden ages of Saint Germain

Question: Saint Germain has said this is not his first golden age, that he had them on other planets. Is this Saint Germain’s field of endeavor as the master to embody on these lower planets and multiplying the seventh way to create a golden age?

It is not really my field of endeavor to embody on lower planets and not even my field to be on the seventh ray. In order to manifest the golden age you really have to use all seven rays, but ,of course, there is one primary ray and I have not always been on the seventh ray even on other planets. You have to be careful not to apply a linear view of this because there are many different considerations that come into play for why you or I or others decide to embody on specific planets.

The Women’s Movement in Iran (and other Islamic countries)

Question: Dear masters, a new protest movement started in Iran against the death of a young woman in police custody in September. The role of young people, especially young women, is very prominent in this movement, and the slogan, “Women, Life, Freedom” is vastly used by demonstrators. Although the government has resorted to violent repression as usual, they have not been very successful so far. How do you evaluate the future of this movement and the potential of a revolutionary change in Iran?

We have commented on the situation in Iran briefly, but I will give more perspective here. It is clear that when you look at history, when you look at the fact that we are in the transition phase to the golden age, Iran has to change as a country. There is no question whatsoever that in the golden age Islam will not be dominating Iran, or any other country for that matter, as the Catholic church will not be dominating any country. The question is how can this change come about?

What you have in Iran and several other Arab countries is that the fallen beings have managed to use either fallen beings in embodiment, or people in the fallen consciousness, to create this very repressive regime. And their excuse for doing this has been Islam or rather a completely unbalanced and distorted interpretation of the original teachings of Islam. This has led to this very, very severe repression of society that has held back the development of society for decades. Iran today is decades behind where it would have been if this had not happened, if such a repressive regime had not been there.

What happens in such regimes is that tension must continue to rise until there is a breaking point. It is the same as you see in a steam engine where you close the valve, the safety valve that lets out steam. The pressure can only keep building in the system. The question is, where is there some weakness in the system where there is a blowout, so that the pressure can be relieved.

Despite the fact that I use the word weakness, I do not thereby mean to imply that the protesters are a weakness in the system. What I mean is that there will come a point where those who are actually more open to change will be the ones who say: “No more, we cannot accept this anymore, now we need to do something.” And the reason for this is of course that a repressive system must become increasingly repressive. Which means, it drives certain people into a situation where they feel like they have no life to look forward to.

Many young people in these repressive regimes face unemployment, an uncertain future. They cannot see how they can actually build a reasonable material life for themselves. Of course, in all Islamic countries, women are the ones that are the most suppressed. And that is why, as Mother Mary has said, this is the decade of women. There is a great potential that not only in Iran but in other Arab countries, or Islamic countries, that women can drive a change.

Women can drive, I am not talking about a violent revolution, but actually a peaceful revolution that will cause these societies to change. It is a very unfortunate situation, from my perspective as an ascended master, that people are driven to the point where they say: “Well, I am going to protest, even if I lose my life on this.” It is unfortunate for the people who can lose their lives, but it is even unfortunate for the country, that it loses the resource of these young people, who are often some of the brightest that could actually manifest a better future for the country. Of course, the fallen beings, or those in the fallen consciousness, can never see this because they do not see people as a resource, they see them as a threat.

There is certainly a potential that this can grow and become a movement that your authorities cannot hold back. They cannot suppress it, they cannot kill or enslave or imprison all of the people who are willing to protest. I would much prefer that such a transition could happen peacefully, but as we have said several times, when people become unbalanced, they must act out their imbalance to such an extreme that it finally becomes obvious that this is not sustainable. The question is simply, what will it take, how long will it take, what kind of violence will it take, before even those who are in charge of the country can see that this cannot continue.

There is a potential, in this decade, that women can take initiatives in Islamic countries to improve their situation and have greater freedom from this oppression that they are subjected to by these patriarchal societies. It is clearly an unbalanced state that is unsustainable and incompatible with the golden age. If these countries are to enter the golden age anytime soon, only women can drive the change, because men cannot. There are, of course, some men who can. But in general, the initiative cannot come from men, it will come from women. Unfortunately, then, the men who are in charge might use violence to try to suppress this and that is why there is a potential that this could become a very chaotic situation. But I hope, of course always, that reason will prevail, but we shall see. Certainly, those of you who are ascended master students, and feel responsible for this, can make the calls for it. But then again, there are many issues in the world to make the calls for, so I will leave it to your individual discernment to feel what is in your divine plan

About taking steroids

Question: Can you tell me what happens at the level of the lower bodies when a person takes steroids and how does it affect the identity body?

You have to be careful here to make a distinction. I am not hereby saying that everything you do to the physical body has no effect on the higher bodies. But as a general rule, many of the things that affect the physical body do not directly affect the higher bodies. But there is, of course, a reason why people take steroids, drugs, alcohol, and other substances that are harmful to the body. And that is because they have some unresolved psychology in their emotional, mental and identity bodies.

Let us say you have a person who is a bodybuilder or an athlete and takes steroids in order to push the capabilities of the physical body. Why does the person have a need to do this? Often you will see that bodybuilders, for example, have low self-esteem or have an unbalanced relationship to their physical body, so they seek to compensate for this in a physical way by taking steroids.

But the real way to overcome this issue is, of course, to resolve the psychology. That means come to see the selves and let them die, the selves that are found in the emotional, mental and identity bodies. What is the distorted sense of identity you have that your physical body is so important that you have to use chemicals that are actually toxic to the body and will harm you later in life, in order to gain some temporary advantage?

You will see many bodybuilders, for example, who may have had a temporary advantage of fame and money and even becoming movie stars, or governors or whatever, but they have also damaged their heart to the point where they are likely to die before their natural lifespan, of heart disease. There is obviously some unresolved psychology behind this and I can only encourage people to look, to resolve that psychology, use the tools we have given, instead of using these artificial means to push the capabilities or the looks of the physical body.

Northern and southern lights

Question: I would like to know what from your perspective the phenomenon called the Aurora Australis polar lights means. Science explains that it results from disturbances in the magnetosphere, caused by the solar wind. But despite this, I feel that some high spiritual beings, in their fine luminous bodies, in which violet and emerald colors prevail, are behind them. May they be the angels of the violet and emerald flame? They create a dance of incredible beauty with their aura, and the highest frequency energies come from the earth to the magnetic poles, which purify and transform the distorted energies in all four realms of our planet. Am I sensational or is it a fantasy?

It is not a fantasy, but of course, there is a scientific explanation, as the scientists have given. It is incomplete, but nevertheless, it is not completely wrong either. Your sense that there are non-material beings including elementals behind this is correct.

I am not saying you should assign any unbalanced importance to this because there are, of course, many natural phenomena, in fact you could say with all natural phenomena, there are elementals or angels behind them.

The concept of Sophia 

Question: Who is behind Sophia of the early Christian Gnostics? Behind the cathedral of Saint Sophia in Kiev and Constantinople? Behind the icon painting of Sophia? Behind the sophology of the Russian Silver Age? Does Sophia exist as a spiritual being in the spiritual world? If so, what is its status?

Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2022 Ukraine Webinar.

Sophia, in the early Gnostic mystics, was a concept. It was not a person, it was not a spiritual being, it was the concept of what we have called the Wisdom of the Mother. In other words, the Feminine Wisdom of how the material universe works and how it was created, and how you can come to a greater awareness of how it works, so that you can improve your physical situation and further your spiritual growth.

Sophia was a concept. It was seen by, at least the two mystics who had fathomed this, as a state of consciousness, as an accumulated state of consciousness throughout the ages of the Wisdom of the Mother. Comparable, in a sense, to what we have said about the Holy Spirit, that it is the accumulated momentum of self-transcendence built over the ages. Later, of course, there were people who could not grasp its concept, who turned it into a being, a painting, who dedicated cathedrals to it, without understanding what it meant, as you see with much of Christianity and many other religions including the Tibetan Buddhism that Gautama just mentioned.

Finding the “right” partner

Question: I have a question that I have been waiting for an answer to all of my life. I hope the ascended masters will give me a broader understanding. The question is about virginity. All my life, I have intuitively felt that my future husband should be like me. But in my life, I have met men who have already had sexual relations, tried to seduce me into marrying them, and criticized me in every way for still being chaste. Still, I felt it was the demons of Mara who came to me and just tried to confuse me into breaking my vow of chastity before marriage. But they failed, and I walked away from such men, because I still believe that if I keep my innocence, I will surely meet a husband like me. I would like to know the opinion of the ascended masters on that. Will I meet someone like me, if I continue to resist mockery and condemnation from society in every possible way, and why do people react so negatively to people like me?

You have the old saying by Einstein, “if you keep doing the same thing, and expect different results, you are insane”. I am not saying you are insane, but I am saying that your approach is unbalanced. If you keep doing what you have been doing, you will end up never being married and therefore having to deal with that situation.

What you are doing is you are using your outer mind to impose some kind of criteria on yourself and your relationship. It is, in a sense, a self-sabotage syndrome. What you need to do is use our tools for psychological healing to find out why it is that there are separate selves in your being that do not want you to get married and therefore they are causing you to believe in this criterion that will block you from getting married.

I am not saying you should get married, that is a free-will decision. But right now, you are not making a free-will decision. You are allowing some separate selves to push you into an unbalanced reaction. When it comes to having a relationship, the ideal way to approach this is to use your intuition to sense when here is a person that it is in your divine plan to have a relationship with. But you cannot use your intuition unless you are neutral. And by imposing this demand, that your husband should be a virgin like you, you are not neutral, and therefore you cannot receive intuitive insights.

You are instead approaching the entire issue of relationships with your outer mind, and you are going around in circles, thereby being unable to tune in to your divine plan. It does not matter whether your husband is a virgin or not. What matters is, is he the person that you decided in your divine plan that you wanted to marry? But how will you know this if your outer mind is so fixated on this outer criterion?

How to free yourself from a codependent relationship 

Question: I ask the ascended masters to help me with a broader understanding of the following problem. My mother is an abusive person, and I have suffered from her attack on me, physically and emotionally, my whole life. All the other members of my family are entirely on her side, and no one even suspects my suffering because as a rule, abusers are believed by everyone around them, because they treat others differently. The ground for this woman’s hatred of me is my father. In her opinion, he abused her and broke her life. For some reason, I became to her a kind of enemy for life. Even though my mother also knows about the teachings of the ascended masters, she finds some arguments of her own there that I am still guilty of her broken life. She does not give me my share of the inheritance so that I can buy my place and get away from her. I am suffering psychologically very much because of all this family drama. Please, masters, tell me how to get out of this situation. Please help me see what I cannot see.

First of all, let me say that there are examples of people who are using our teachings to justify continuing their lifestyle of not wanting to take responsibility for themselves. If your mother is blaming you for your father’s abuse, she obviously has not taken responsibility for herself, and this means she is not really a serious ascended master student, or she would not do so.

What you can do is realize that the key to breaking free from your mother is not to receive your inheritance, buy your own place and move away from her. The key is in your psychology. You need to resolve what it is in your psychology that makes you think you cannot move away. What you are describing is a classical co-dependent relationship, where you have become dependent on your mother and therefore you think you cannot free yourself from her and the abuse. You can find psychological literature about co-dependent relationships, you can seek professional help, and I in fact encourage you to do so. But you can also use our tools about healing your spiritual traumas, resolving these separate selves, so that you can break free from this.

It is not a matter of physically moving away as much as psychologically moving away, so that even if your mother continues the behavior, it no longer affects you. We have given you the tools to accomplish this, but you have to be willing and have a strong determination to break free of this, which I realize is difficult when you are in a co-dependent relationship.

But in a sense, you can see, if you are willing, that your mother is projecting at you that she cannot change her life because of you. Yet at the same time you are projecting to your mother that you cannot change your life because of her. This is the classical co-dependent mechanics. You need to decide, do you want to break free, and then you need to do what is needed to break free. First of all, realize that it is not your mother who is preventing you from breaking free, it is a mechanism in your own psychology, the separate selves.

Discomfort during Mother Mary’s meditation 

Question: I have been practicing Mother Mary’s meditation to heal the birth trauma, from the book Healing Your Spiritual Traumas for over a year. While practicing this meditation, I feel discomfort, pain and inner tension after some time. Then I stop and pause for a while and then I continue again. I feel lighter than I did a year ago when I first started the meditation. Can you tell me if I am doing everything right?

You need to not lock your mind on giving one particular meditation or invocation. If you get the kind of reaction you are describing from giving a particular invocation or exercise, then do something else for a while. The reason for the discomfort is that there is something you have not seen. There is some separate self that you have not seen.

This is because either you are not capable of seeing it right now, or you are not willing to see it. You need to step back, do some of the other invocations and exercises, and look at the issue from a different angle, a different perspective. Then hopefully, over time, you will get to the bottom of the separate selves, see them for what they are, and let them die, so that you can move on.

What determines your next incarnation?

Question: Tibetan Buddhism says that the last thought before death determines the next incarnation. That seems a little inadequate to me. For example, a person has followed a spiritual path for many years, but before leaving his body he experiences intense fear of death. How would that affect his future incarnation?

Tibetan Buddhism has a number of elements that are typical of what we have called the outer path, the mechanical path. You can look at the fact that they have prayer wheels upon which prayers are written. Instead of reciting the wheels they spin the wheels and they think this balances your karma. They also have developed these ideas that you spend your entire lifetime preparing your mind for the moment of physical death so you can think the thoughts that will ensure the best possible incarnation.

You are, of course, perfectly right that it is not the last thought you think before your body dies but it is your overall state of consciousness that determines your next incarnation. All the progress you have made through this lifetime is what will determine where you magnetize yourself after you leave the body, and the progress you make in between embodiments will determine the situation that you come into in your next lifetime, if there is one.

It is very much, as we have explained over and over again, a matter of the resolution of your psychology. In Tibetan Buddhism, there is not much about resolving psychology. There is not in mainstream Christianity and most other mainstream religions. This is an indication of the fact that Tibetan Buddhism, despite the claims made, is in many ways completely out of touch with my original teachings and the teachings that we of the ascended masters are giving today.

Personal attacks against spiritual people

Question: I found the path in 2010. Since then, I have been constantly attacked by and taken blows from black magicians, non-harmonious people, relatives, and even those who follow the path, especially when they are in non-harmonious states. And just out of nowhere, there have been as many as a hundred blows and I am currently again exposed to the blow, most from our spiritual group says this does not happen to them. What is wrong with me?

This is one of these issues where there can be two main reasons for it, but they can of course be somewhat intertwined. When you increase your spiritual light, as you do when you walk the path, this light can agitate people in a lower state of consciousness. It is provocative to them. You can have people who have spiritual light walking down the street and someone they have never met before can come up and yell at them. I am not saying this happens to all people, but it can happen.

The other reason can be that you have some unresolved psychology where you are, without seeing this consciously, actually, in a sense, wanting these kinds of attacks because they have some significance to one of your separate selves. They prove something to a separate self. In other words, you have a drama in your subconscious mind that you are wanting people to affirm. You cannot go wrong by using our tools to uncover what might be the cause of this attitude you might have, and you can start by looking at your own reaction to these situations, and seeing not just the feelings, but the deeper thoughts behind it. What are the thoughts that come to you when you are exposed to something like this? What are your long-term thoughts about the situation? Then you can follow this by using our tools and come to see what separate selves you have that are determining your reaction.

Corruption in Ukraine

Question: In the former Soviet Union countries, for some people, breaking the law almost indicates that they have some superiority, despite all sorts of punishments. For these people, to tempt a person with a bribe is almost like winning in some competition. Many people are happy when they manage to break the law to solve some of their issues. What prospects do ordinary Ukrainians have, based on the given circumstances, to change their world view, to give up legal nihilism and the initiation of corruption?

 Question 2: I was born and live in Ukraine. I see massive corruption in this country and a significant gap between the authorities and the people. I know that in the Soviet Union, stealing was very much developed. People were stealing everywhere in the enterprises where they worked. I think corruption is not something unacceptable for the people of Ukraine. How can Ukraine get rid of the filter of perception in which theft is considered something normal and acceptable?

We have commented on this in our dictations, but I will say that again, it boils down to this: There needs to be a shift in awareness where people realize that when you are stealing or engaging in corruption, you are stealing from the whole, you are stealing from the collective. There needs to be that sense that: “We are in this together and that it is not just everyone who is out for himself or herself.” And this is something that has the potential to develop in a greater measure after the war, because this has been such a shocking experience for many people.

There can be this awareness that we are facing this task of rebuilding the nation. We cannot allow corruption, we cannot allow people to steal and we cannot even allow the oligarchs or other people high up in business to steal from the country and steal from the people. I am not saying this is an easy transition, but it is a possible transition that other nations have gone through.

The Experience of Oneness

Question: How do the experience of awakening, the realization of one’s true nature and the unity of All, which Eckhart Tolle, Ramana Maharshi and others experienced, relate to the 144 levels of consciousness? What are the reasons for this experience?

Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus Christ through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2022 Ukraine Webinar.

This is a difficult question to give a clear answer to, because there are various definitions out there of what it means to be enlightened. What we have explained is that when you come into embodiment on earth, you go through a process of taking on the various illusions that relate to each of the levels of consciousness from the 144th to the 48th level.

You could say in a simple way, as I just explained in another answer, that the process of spiritual growth is that you escape the illusion that you are a separate localized self and you attain a more spherical awareness of who you are. From this perspective, you could say that attaining enlightenment is rising towards a more and more spherical awareness, where you are not seeing yourself as a separate localized being. And there can come experiences where people have a breakthrough, and they have a direct experience of the connectedness of all life—that everything is connected in consciousness. You can have this not necessarily only at the 144th level. You can have it at lower levels as well – at least for a short period of time.

You could say that there is a process of growth that is linear. You go from the 48th to the 49th step, and from the 96th to the 97th and so on. This is a linear process. You are escaping certain illusions that make you see yourself as a localized, separate being. But we have also explained that the Conscious You is pure awareness. So theoretically, regardless of which level you are at among the 144th levels, the Conscious You has the ability, at any moment, to step outside of your current sense of self and experience a greater reality. You may not necessarily experience the highest reality, but you can step outside and recognize or have an experience of a higher reality. This possibility is always there. Of course, the lower you are on the levels of the 144th steps, the more difficult it is for the Conscious You to pull itself out of this. The higher you go, the easier it is to disengage from your normal sense of self and have this kind of experience.

At the lower levels you can have this experience for a short time and then you go back into your normal state of consciousness and then you have the task of dealing with that experience from that level of consciousness. How do you even process this experience and what do you do with it? That is why you will see that some mystics have had a spherical experience, a universal mystical experience, but they were firmly anchored in the Christian faith, for example. So, they have now come back, and after processing the experience, they have reasoned that the experience validated their Christian beliefs.

Of course, in many cases it did no such thing, but that was the only way that people’s outer minds could deal with the experience. That is why you have the terminology that you have: Christian mystics, Sufi mystics, Hindu mystics and so on. When you are truly universal – when you truly grasp the universality of your spherical experience, you see that it cannot be confined to any belief system on earth, and neither can you.

The reason for having the experience is, of course, that it helps people realize that there is something beyond their present level of consciousness and this can then serve as an inspiration for others if people choose to share their experience. This is essentially how humankind has progressed – that some people had an experience that pointed them beyond the normal level of consciousness in their society, and by sharing the experience and seeking to help other people have similar experiences, there has been this gradual progression, this gradual raising of the collective consciousness. To use one of Lanto’s concepts, where certain things have become obvious to more and more people.

And that is why you have so many democratic nations today, because certain things have become obvious. This is in a sense also an example of how the Conscious You steps outside of its normal state of consciousness and experiences that there is a higher reality, that there are certain rights that people have, and that no authority on earth should violate those rights. This is not an intellectual reasoning even though you can turn it into an intellectual reasoning. But it is an experience, and it is by people having this experience where they see something that is beyond what they could see before, and they experience the reality of it, so that it becomes obvious to them. This is how individual consciousness shifts. But as many people go through this, the collective consciousness shifts as well.
