Question: Do animals such as dogs, cats, horses and whales continue to be born on earth and reincarnate to grow in consciousness? I have heard that animals have collective souls, not individual souls. Have their collective souls ever ascended from earth? Where do the collective souls of animals really come from? Are their souls also originally from the ascended realms?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 Korean Conference.
Animals have a collective soul. This means that you cannot really say that they continue to be born and reincarnate and grow in consciousness as individuals. You can say there is an individual dog, but once that body dies, it just goes back into the collective soul. You cannot say that a dog reincarnates. You cannot, either, say that a collective soul ascends.
What can happen is that an animal can become individualized so that if you, for example, have a dog that has a close relationship with a human being then after the body dies that dog can become individualized as an elemental being and by serving in that capacity it can gradually work its way up, and even in some cases, reach the human level where it can incarnate as a human on earth. But this is not something that happens often and it is not so that all dogs will become individualized or all whales will become individualized. It is not the purpose at all that a group soul of an animal species would ascend, except you can say that there can come a point where the entire earth rises to a higher level so that there is no necessity for having these animals in physical form.
In terms of where collective souls come from, well, ultimately, they are created by the Elohim but they are created to perform a specific function on, for example, earth. It is not the same as where we have said that the ascended masters form your I AM Presence which sends an extension of itself as the Conscious You into embodiment. This is not what happens to these group souls. They are created just to perform a specific function. They are not created for the same purpose as your I AM Presence and the Conscious You.
