Alpha, Omega and Christ perspective of creativity

Question: Dear Saint Germain, I recently discovered this self that feels very easily discouraged when it comes to expressing myself or bringing something forth. As soon as I realize that something is already available in a similar form in the material realm, or that someone else does share in a similar way, it feels pointless to even pursue this or express it. However, something in this still feels truthful. It might be the desire to bring something forth that does not exist yet. I would love to have a higher perspective on this.

Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 Easter Webinar.

You have to look at this from an Alpha and Omega perspective. What is creativity? Well, the Alpha aspect of creativity is that you bring forth something that has not been brought forth before. You tune in to the ascended realm, you tune in to an ascended master and you bring forth something that has not been brought forth on earth. This is the Alpha aspect of being creative.

But the Omega aspect is just as important. It is that you look at something that is already in existence and you see a better way to do it, and then, you improve it. You do not have to reinvent the wheel, but you can certainly create a better version of the wheel. You can say that the first wheel might have been a stone disc with a simple wooden axle hauling an ox cart, but look at the wheels used today in modern automobiles and motorcycles. There is an enormous amount of technology and knowledge and invention that is going into creating these wheels. If people had said: “Well, the old wheel is good enough. We do not need to improve upon it”, then, you could not have had modern automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes and all of these inventions.

There is always a need for both, but then, there is actually a third aspect of creativity. We might talk about an Alpha and an Omega, and then, there is the Christ perspective which balances the expanding and the contracting forces. And that is that there is always room for individual expression. You may say: “Yeah, people have been painting on a canvas for centuries. There is nothing new that could be brought forth. Anything new has already been done. Somebody has thought about it. Forget about painting.” But there is infinite room for individual expression. It does not have to be better than what somebody else came up with. It does not have to be original that nobody else has done anything similar. It just has to be an individual expression. And that still has value both for the one expressing it and for other people who might enjoy it. And, of course, this can be transferred to many other aspects of life.

Is there only one way to do things? You can always, as the saying goes, invent a better mousetrap. But it is not just a matter of a better mousetrap, it is a matter of the fact that there are different ways of doing things.

Now, we can take this discussion to the level of spiritual teachings. There is the old discussion of what is the superior spiritual teaching? Is there only one truth, and what is the highest spiritual teaching? We have said that what we are doing as ascended masters is progressive revelation. As part of progressive revelation, the alpha aspect of progressive revelation is that we are bringing forth some teachings that have never been released on earth before. But the omega aspect of progressive revelation is that we are expressing spiritual ideas in a form that is easier to grasp, that can be grasped by more people, so that we are spreading spiritual ideas out to a broader and broader audience. And the Christ perspective of this is that there is room for presenting spiritual ideas in individual ways.

You can say you are an ascended master student. You have an ascended master teaching that is brought forth directly from us. But you can take it and express it in your own way, in many various ways. When you are talking to people, you can write it, you can do a video, you can do all kinds of things. Where you are formulating the idea in your own words. And why is it important? Well, it can be important for your individual expression. You will actually grasp the teachings better when you do this. But it can also be important because the words that we use when we give a dictation will have an effect on some people and give them this breakthrough, this aha experience, where they suddenly see something based on the words we are using, but those words cannot reach all people. You come from a certain background. There is a certain amount of people that you resonate with, that resonate with you, so there is value in you expressing the teachings in your individual way because it might actually give those people an aha experience that they could not get from our direct, dictated words.

Again, is there any need to be discouraged by anything? Therefore, you need to, then, look around and look at yourself and say: “Why do I feel discouraged? What feels discouraged?” Well, it is always a separate self. And that separate self might have a desire to be “original”, to be special, because it can do something nobody else has done. And when it sees: “Oh, here I cannot be special, somebody else has already done it, then it becomes discouraged. But you do not become discouraged unless you are identified with that self. Use the tools and teachings, separate yourself from the self, see the illusion, let it die and get on with being creative.
