Question: The “life” Jesus spoke of is continuous self-transcendence. This is the life the Living Christ bestows upon those who are incarnated. I participate in the body and life of the Living Christ, and I renounce all desire to confine my spirit within the mental box defined on earth. I choose life. There is no longer separation in our souls. I love the ideal geometric forms of my I AM Presence. As exemplified above, the words “life” and “soul” appear in the descriptions and decrees of the ascended masters, but they seem to have slightly different meanings in each instance. Could you please explain what they are primarily used for? Also, as exemplified, the term “geometrical forms” occasionally appears. While I understand geometric phenomena in the physical world, I have no idea what geometrical phenomena in the spiritual world mean. Could you explain?

If you look at our teachings given through this messenger alone, but also given in past dispensations, you will see that there is not necessarily a linear consistency in how we use specific words. “Soul”, “life”, “Living Christ”, “Christ”. We use them in slightly different ways depending on the context. On one hand, this can be confusing, but it is really mainly confusing if you use the linear mind to compare. But what we have explained is that we give a certain teaching for a certain group of people who are in a certain state of consciousness to help them grow.
In the beginning, for example, with this messenger, we used the word “soul”. Later, we have almost stopped using that word. We used it to give people something to connect to that they were familiar with, even though “soul” is a difficult word because so many different spiritual teachings talk about it in different ways. As we have explained, “soul” really means the four lower bodies, or rather the three higher bodies, emotional, mental and identity. That is the “soul vehicle”. But in previous ascended master organizations, the word “soul” was used as the totality of the incarnating lifestream. We portrayed it that the soul was created in the spiritual realm and descended into the physical body.
Now we portray that your I AM Presence is in the spiritual realm. It sends an extension of yourself, the Conscious You, and the Conscious You over time builds the contents of the identity, mental, and emotional bodies. And this is the soul that reincarnates, that you take with you from incarnation to incarnation.
This is a higher teaching that is more nuanced, where in previous dispensations, we used the word “soul” more the way it has been used in traditional religions, especially Christianity. The “Living Christ” can be used in a general term about ascended masters. We are the Living Christ, but we are also ascended. A more specific use related to earth is a person in embodiment who has attained a certain level of Christhood and therefore, becomes the Living Christ like Jesus was, but certainly other people have attained that level also. You can look at many different words where there is a certain evolution over time. But really, what you are doing is you are looking at the level of words, and you are seeking to understand it at the level of words with the linear mind. And as we have said many times, especially over these later years, we really want our students to go beyond the level of the words and experience our Presence directly. Then these inconsistencies will be resolved by your direct experience.
In terms of geometric shapes, certainly you have geometric shapes in the physical world. But what have we explained? Everything in the physical world is an expression of what is in the emotional, mental and identity realms. There are geometric shapes in the emotional realm, the mental realm, the identity realm, even in the spiritual. Geometric shapes is just that you have a pattern, a recognizable pattern, that is often repeated at various scales and levels. This is all we really mean with this. There is a certain recognizable pattern, an energetic pattern at the physical level, but it is really an expression of a pattern at the emotional level, which is an expression of a pattern at the mental, and so on.
