Question: In a question-and-answer session during the 2023 Korea conference and webinar, Paul the Venetian essentially said: “People can ascend either by fulfilling certain basic requirements, i.e. mastering the seven rays, or by attaining greater mastery than the minimum requirements, i.e. mastering the seven rays and some of the secret rays. This, of course, has an impact on what you can do after you ascend.”
What are the options, including but not limited to specific assignments, and where can one go after one ascends by mastering the basic ascension requirements for earth? Are post-ascension assignments linked to the services that one provided on earth? For example, if one served as a scientist on earth, then would one likely serve in the field of science after one ascended from earth?
Answer from the Ascended Master Paul the Venetian through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 American webinar.
Well, you cannot give a general answer to this kind of question because it is individual what people do. What I wanted to introduce is the concept that the ascension is not simply the ascension. There was a previous dispensation where it was said that the main requirement for the ascension is to balance your karma, and that the dispensation were given where people could ascend with 51% of their karma balanced.
And what I wanted to show is that if you fulfill this minimum requirement, you are not ascending at the same level as someone who fulfills a higher requirement. To make it more graphic, we can say that if you ascend with 51% of your karma balanced, well, you have 49% of unbalanced karma. An ascended master does not have unbalanced karma. Therefore, it is not actually realistic, as was in the culture of this previous dispensation, that if somebody ascended with 51% of their karma, they became instantly an ascended master. You would actually have to spend time in the spiritual realm or the lower identity realm, the etheric realm, to balance the rest of your karma before you can really become an ascended master.
Now, there are also, of course, masters who have ascended and they instantly became ascended masters, because they had not only balanced their karma, but they had also fulfilled many of the more subtle requirements that we have talked about in this dispensation. First of all, doing what you came to earth to do, but also overcoming the sense that you were here to do something, fulfilling this very subtle resolution of the psychology that brought you here as an avatar.
There are certainly masters that have attained a greater mastery while they were still in embodiment. And this then means that after you are out of embodiment and you do not have to return to embodiment, you have more options for what you want to do in the ascended realm. There are certainly people who have worked in a certain field in perhaps many embodiments, including the last one, and they will continue to work in that field after they ascend, for example, in science or education or spirituality. There are ascended masters who choose to stay with earth and work with the people in that particular field, for example, science or education, whatever it may be. This is often the case, but not always, because as an ascended master, you may also choose that you want to focus on an entirely different field. And, of course, you can choose you do not want to work with earth. You might want to go work with a natural planet or you might move on to other realms.
There are a few ascended masters, newly ascended masters, who have attained the mastery before they ascended, whether it was from earth or another planet, including natural planets, who do not have to work with other planets. They can go on to serve in higher capacities. They can, for example, go and work in some of the highest spiritual retreats at the archangel level, at the Elohim level or some of the others like the Divine Director, God and Goddess Meru, the Sun, the Central Sun and other things. They are not directly working with unascended beings after they have ascended, but they are serving in some of these retreats. And this can serve as a preparation for where you can eventually even ascend to the next sphere. There are certainly ascended masters who have ascended to the sixth sphere as a result of ascending in this one. Not many, but there are some.
The higher attainment, the higher resolution of psychology you attain while you are in physical embodiment, the more options you have. The specifics of how this plays out are very individual because there are not really any general considerations that can be applied to ascended masters because when you have ascended, you are really free to choose what you want to do.
But it, of course, depends on your level of awareness and your consciousness. In other words, you cannot say that even after you ascend from earth, you have to work with unascended beings on earth. This is not a general rule, even though many ascended masters will choose to do so.
