Question: As someone training to be a social worker, a single mother who has accrued student loan debt in service of a calling to serve others, I find myself wondering about the broader arc of America’s future. My question is for Saint Germain. In his vision for the next cycle of America’s democracy and its role in service to the all, does he foresee structural reforms that would ease the financial burden placed on those who choose lives of public service?
Is there a future where the path of service is not also a path of financial sacrifice? And for those of us already carrying that weight, is there guidance on how to hold it with grace while trusting in what is coming?

Well, certainly you can see that there are other modern democracies who have found a different way to deal with this so that students do not have to accrue as much debt in order to pursue a higher education as they do in the United States. There are countries where education is free and people only have to take loans to pay their living expenses or they have to have jobs to do so. But certainly, I could envision a future where it would be said this would probably not happen in the United States first, but it would be said that if you commit yourself to public service, we will, of course, pay for your education so you can fulfill that role. You might then have to accept a slightly lower salary that you could make in the private industry, but if you do not have the student loan to pay back, there would not be that much difference.
This would be a wise move and it will become a necessary move in many of the modern democracies as the population is aging and there is more need of public servants who can help these older people with their various needs. This is certainly a possibility.
In terms of those who have already accrued debt: well, you need to, of course, be practical about this and take whatever measures you can take to pay back the debt or to seek whatever relief might become available in the future. Obviously, you could say that if you look at the dictation of Godfre about criminal enterprises exploiting the population, you can say that the rising cost of education plus the rising costs of interest on loans and student loans is a form of exploitation of people who are pursuing a higher education. You can also say the rising property prices are exploitation of people who cannot afford to buy a house when they have student loans to pay back. These are also things that will be addressed as we move closer to the golden age.
But this, of course, does not help you right now, I fully realize, and that is why you have to take whatever measures are practical for you in your current situation.
