Question: Ascended masters appear to possess expert knowledge in various technical subjects such as physics, mathematics, computer science and economics. Does one naturally gain access to the source of all knowledge as his spiritual consciousness develops or do ascended masters engage in the study of these subjects in the upper realm? If the former is true, technical knowledge naturally expanding alongside the growth of consciousness, would it be a more efficient use of time, while in embodiment, to devote oneself to reading invocations rather than researching academic subjects?
Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2024 New Year webinar.
An ascended master does study the topics that he or she wants to become an expert in, even after you ascend. What happens, of course, as you move closer to the ascension point and after you ascend is that it becomes easier for you to grasp and absorb knowledge. You can more easily integrate it, but you are still studying as an ascended master.
There are many newly ascended masters who do not, for example, go back and work with the earth for a time because they devote themselves to going on into the various institutions in the spiritual realm and studying a particular topic. Either because they want to understand the topic or because they want to help unascended beings with that topic. You do definitely have to study. Now, there are of course some of us, who did study a lot in our last embodiment and reached a certain proficiency and expertise in certain topics, which we could then very quickly build on.
It is not necessarily that, or rather it is not so that reaching a higher level of consciousness means that you have all knowledge. You have access to more knowledge, you can more easily absorb it and grasp it, but you have to study it, you have to apply yourself. We have never said that you become this perfect being after you ascend. We have always said, at least in this dispensation, that you are still growing in the ascended realm. This was also said in previous dispensations, although there was a tendency that the students had more of an idolatry of us and projected upon us that we naturally must have access to all knowledge.
But why do you think there are seven Chohans who are specialists on the seven rays? It is because we have studied and gained expertise on that ray and the topics that are relating to the ray. It does not mean that we do not all have a certain understanding of these topics, but certainly if I want to understand certain aspects of law, for example, I naturally contact Nada to gain her expertise and guidance. And so with all of us, we learn from each other, we help each other, we support each other.
In terms of what you should do, should you give invocations and decrees instead of studying academic knowledge? Absolutely not. Do a combination of both as you have time. And if you need to study in order to get a degree, then put aside the invocations and decrees that you need to do, in order to complete your studies. It is not black or white. Let us put it this way, if you have a specific area that you feel is important to you, then study that in the remainder of this embodiment, because it will make it easier for you to expand upon that either in between embodiments or after you ascend.
