Question: Some time ago, the ascended masters were saying that some of us may want to postpone our ascension after this lifetime in order to re-embody for the purpose of assisting Saint Germain to bring in the golden age. For many of us, after our experiences in this lifetime, I would not imagine it to be a very popular option. The masters have not said anything much about this in recent times, and the focus seems to be back again on us making our ascension. Can the masters comment some more about this option of continuing to re-embody on planet earth after we have reached the point that we have qualified for our ascension?
Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2026 American Webinar.
Well, actually the option is more popular than you might think, and we have mentioned this several times. You see, when you say that you do not think it is a popular option based on what we have experienced in this lifetime, it is because you still have certain subconscious selves you have not overcome that make you feel like this has been an unpleasant lifetime or difficult lifetime. But what is it that experiences your present lifetime this way? Is it the Conscious You or a subconscious self? Actually it is the self. You may be identified with that self, you are experiencing your life through that, through the coloring, the perception filter of that self. But in order to qualify for your ascension, you will have to dissolve and let that self die. And then your lifetime will no longer seem difficult, and therefore, it will not be a deterrent for having another lifetime.
What our focus is on is simple. You cannot postpone your ascension until you have qualified for it. And we would much rather have you qualify for your ascension in this lifetime and come into your next lifetime at that level than not qualifying and coming into your next lifetime at a lower level. Because when you come in having qualified for your ascension, you can of course get better service in terms of helping to manifest the golden age.
You see, whenever we give a teaching, there is always the possibility that some people, some students can take it too literally. And it is very difficult to give a complex teaching without simplifying it so we do not cover all scenarios. We have, for example, often talked about how you are on a natural planet, you have reached a high level of growth there, and you now decide you want to come to earth to do something here. And we have portrayed it that because you have not fully grasped free will, you have a somewhat distorted image of what you want to do here and how you will be received here and what will happen here. And it is true that you have to overcome that coloring, because otherwise you cannot qualify for your ascension, you cannot leave the earth if there is something that is unfinished.
But you see, it is one thing to have a personal goal that was not based on the highest understanding and that goal has not been fulfilled, so therefore, you feel you cannot leave. It is another to have a goal to support the ascended masters in raising up earth that is a genuine desire that is not colored. You see here what I am trying to explain. Most of us, when we came to earth as avatars, we had the genuine desire to help raise the earth, but it was colored by our personal way of looking at life and looking at ourselves, our desire to, for example, be the “prince on a white horse.” And what we need to do, what we are seeking to help you do, is overcome that coloring so you can reconnect to your genuine desire to help the ascended masters raise the earth, but also be in that neutral space where you can say: “Have I changed the way I look at that desire? Do I actually now want to ascend?” Because naturally you can also help us by ascending. It pulls up on the collective consciousness.
It is a matter of you resolving that coloring that you had when you came here, returning to a neutral space or going into a neutral space, where you can then decide, “Do I want to ascend? Do I want to stay and take another embodiment or perhaps several?” But you cannot make that decision until you are qualified for your ascension, and you cannot qualify for your ascension until you have overcome that particular view you had, which was also a sense of self that brought you to earth.
