Question: I want to ask Jesus what happens when a Christian prays to a saint who has not ascended yet but is on his way to making it? And what happens when a Christian prays to the saint who is considered by the church as such yet in fact is a fallen being like for example, Constantine?
Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 Easter Webinar.
Well if you pray to a saint who is not an ascended master, your prayers will have no effect. For that matter we have said before that ascended masters are not like the wish-fulfilling God that people project—that is a man-made image of God. Our role is not to fulfill your wishes. Our role is not if you pray for say you want to have more money, it is not our role to fulfill that. Our role is to help you grow in consciousness. If you are praying to help you grow in consciousness we will help you as you are able to hear it, but if you pray for specific physical things we are in many cases not able to help you because the law of free will, the law of karma and so forth must be allowed to outplay itself.
What happens if you pray to a saint who is recognized by the church but is actually a fallen being? Well unfortunately, you tie yourself to that fallen being. You create an energetic tie over your attention and you can tie yourself to that fallen being. Of course, your prayer will also have no effect. Of course, when you are praying to a saint who is not yet ascended you will also tie yourself to that being. Whatever you put your attention on when you go into a prayerful or reverent state of mind, you will create a tie, an energetic tie to those beings. And of course, if it is a fallen being it is definitely something that I do not recommend.
