North and South Korea relations in 2026

Question: Dear masters, since the Hanoi-U.S.-North Korea summit in 2019, relations between North and South Korea have remained in a prolonged period of tension. There have been mutual accusations, provocative actions, and missed opportunities for dialogue. Although a new government took office in South Korea in June 2025 and has expressed a willingness to reopen dialogue, there has been little visible progress so far. How do you foresee relations between North and South Korea unfolding in 2026? What can individuals and the collective do to help bring peace and the golden age to the Korean Peninsula?

Answer from the Ascended Master Saint-Germain through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2026 New Year Webinar.

Well, basically, it is only meaningful to answer this question for people in South Korea who are the only ones open to ascended master teachings, as people in North Korea would be persecuted by the regime for even considering our teachings. What you can do is basically continue to do what you have been doing, giving decrees and invocations for this specific issue. You can also work on the psychology, both on an individual level and collectively, based on what we have said before in our dictations, where it is clear that if there is to be a change in the relationship, South Korea must drive that change.

You can hold the vision and make the calls that your government will attempt a new way to deal with North Korea. However, how do I foresee it evolving in 2026? Well, in 2025, you will see that Kim Jong-un has continued what he has been doing for a long time, sort of flexing his muscles, making accusations, building missiles, and so forth. He is still trapped in the unbalanced use of power. In this year of wisdom, the ones who might switch would be the South Korean people and the government, where they would look at what have we done so far in our relations with North Korea? Is there something we have not tried, something we have not done that might be different? But you also need to be realistic and realize that there is a limit to what you can do in South Korea, because for Kim Jong-un, avoiding change is a matter of survival. If there was to be a real change in the relationship between North and South Korea, Kim Jong-un and the dynasty he comes from could not survive. It is based on confrontation. You need to recognize that the only way for the situation to really change is that this dynasty comes to an end and that a new form of leadership emerges in North Korea.

That is always a possibility, but it would take that a critical mass of people tuned into the Second Ray of wisdom and were willing to see, to neutrally evaluate, what are we doing? What are the consequences? Where will it go if we continue down this path of confrontation? If a critical mass would begin to question the regime, it could tip the scale so that Kim Jong-un could not stay in embodiment and the regime could fall. Not saying it will necessarily happen in 2026, but this is the most likely way that a change could happen on the Korean Peninsula, because as long as you have a dictator whose survival, or at least his perception of his survival, depends on upholding the division and the confrontation between North and South, what could the South do to change this, other than completely submit and offer Kim Jong-un to be the dictator of both North and South Korea, which is certainly not what the population of the South wants. It is not for that matter what Kim Jong-un would want, because he would know that even if this happened, the equation would change and his survival would be threatened.

You see, the situation is such that South Korea has limited options until things change in the North. But as we have explained, we are going into a 12-year cycle here, where dictators and dictatorships will be increasingly challenged, and it will be more and more difficult for them to hold on to power. It will be more and more difficult for them to exercise power in an unbalanced manner. You can make the calls that the Second Ray of Wisdom will awaken a critical mass of the North Korean people and even North Korean leaders to the consequences of North Korea’s current course and the ultimate disaster that will result from continuing on this course.
