Question: A better understanding, please. How does the phrase: “Until all of us are free, none of us are free” promote oneness without denying that there is indeed a gradual path that everyone is at various places? It obviously doesn’t mean we can’t show any progress until everyone makes the same progress.

Well, the expression is actually that “No woman is free until all women are free”. The purpose of giving this statement is to help women in the more affluent, more developed countries develop a certain sense of solidarity with those women in less developed, less affluent countries who do not have the same opportunities. You realize that you cannot simply use your comfortable lifestyle and be content with this but that you need to use this as an opportunity to help those who are not yet at the same level.
This is actually promoting a sense of oneness because you realize that those who are more fortunate, it is part of their divine plans and is part of their higher desires to help those who are less fortunate. This is how all can progress, even though they do not necessarily progress at the same pace, or to the same level. But there does come a point on the spiritual path where you cannot actually make progress by only being focused on yourself and your own personal growth.
There are many, many people including ascended master students, who have followed a spiritual path for a time, and it has given them growth, but then they come to this dividing line and instead of focusing on what they can do for the whole, what they can do for others, what they can do for the Masters, they continue to see only that they can improve themselves and raise themselves. This causes them to stagnate. Some of them still feel they are growing but they are not truly growing. Some feel that they are expanding their understanding and they know more and more, but they are not really raising their consciousness. Others feel they are not growing, they become discouraged. They start criticizing their guru or the organization or their teaching, or they start looking for another one. But they are not moving forward because they are not willing to look beyond themselves and their own growth.
