Question: Hi Jesus, I have a book called New Testament, rewritten through Jesus and the original authors, and the scribe wants to stay anonymous. Is this a valid teaching, where you and the authors of the New Testament Bible gave the scribe an updated version of your teachings? Many verses in this book resonated with me. I have never heard of this book. This book says that people who did not understand Jesus’ message changed Matthew 5.17 instead of: “I have come not to abolish the law but to fulfill it.” Matthew 5.17 should be: “I have come not to fulfill the law but to abolish it.” This actually makes sense to me because mechanical laws are for people who need guidance, who cannot access God’s love and the Kingdom of Heaven within. Should Matthew 5.17 really be that you came not to fulfill the law but to abolish it?

The book you mentioned was not sponsored by me or by those original authors because most of those original authors of the New Testament have not ascended. But nevertheless, you can say that the particular point you mentioned and certain other points in the book are valid enough. You can say that I came to abolish the Old Testament law and replace it with a higher law so that, for example, instead of an eye for an eye it became: Turn the other cheek, do unto others, forgive, and so forth. You can say that the formulation in the New Testament is the diplomatic version, for the Jews would not have been able to handle it if I had said I came to abolish the law. By saying fulfill, it seems more palatable, like the law is being taken to a higher level.
But, of course, if you look at the difference between turn the other cheek and an eye for an eye, well, there is really no way to connect the two. One does not lead to the other. An eye for an eye does not lead to turn the other cheek. It leads to everybody being blind, which, of course, they were in Old Testament times. It really is a matter of words here, a play on words. And we have given much deeper teachings through this messenger and previous dispensations that certainly are much more advanced than anything in this book that you mentioned.
