How to safely invest surplus savings?

Question: If the stock market is a pyramid scheme, are there any viable alternatives for retirement accounts to invest in? Are government bonds more spiritually acceptable? Are bonds perpetuating an unsustainable debt-based economy and yet another example of investors trying to make money out of money? At the personal level, how should a spiritual person invest excess savings to be used later in life? I’d love an answer that questions many of the core assumptions and misconceptions that people have about saving and investing.

Well this is of course a large topic, but I will give a few remarks here. If I was in embodiment and had a retirement plan or retirement scheme, I would not invest in the stock market. Certainly not in any of these hedge funds that are out there.

I might invest in very select stocks for companies that I believe are not overvalued, where the stock is not yet a subject of speculation, but where it is actually based on the earnings of the company and also whether that company is part of the more progressive trend of bringing the economy forward. Government bonds is acceptable as a traditional, more safe value for storing money. You can of course invest in gold, but this should not be seen as a way to make money, more as a way to preserve the value of the money. You can look for other investments that are not as risk-based, that are not clearly part of some financial scheme, but there are few such investments available at the moment. You would choose the safest options. It is clear they will not make as much money as some of the others have been doing for the last several decades. But if you have a stock market crash next week, then your savings could be severely compromised if they are invested in the stock market. And we have said before that part of this whole scheme to allow retirement funds to be used to invest in the stock market is so that the fallen beings can go to the government and say, look, you have to save the stock market because otherwise everybody is going to lose their retirement.

And then the government might feel forced to do this as they did in 2008. You might say that this entire thing of allowing pension funds to be invested in stocks is the insurance scheme of the fallen beings. Definitely I recommend other forms of more safe investments, more conservative, you might say, investments. There is of course also real estate, but again, there are many markets where real estate is so overvalued that it is actually a risky investment. But there will of course always be a need for people to have a place to live.
