Question: I recently realized how many people, especially men, close themselves off from their emotional body. Instead of feeling the feelings, they are thinking how feelings feel like and they often externalize it. What is an effective way for how people can get access to their emotional body again?
Answer from the Ascended Master Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2021 Webinar for Russia – Overcoming the consciousness of Superiority and the Sense of Being Unwhole, Traumatized and Focused Outside Oneself.
There are many different forms of therapies or group sessions that people use to get more in touch with their emotions, but really it is not difficult to get in touch with your emotions if you are willing to experience them. It is correct that many, many people have been, so to speak, programmed to suppress their emotions— men more so than women of course, but still there are men who are willing to look at their emotions.
What it takes is, as we have talked about, that you overcome this fear of the emotions where you seek to suppress them because you are afraid of being overwhelmed by them, or you feel that they are so unpleasant you do not want to experience them.
You cannot resolve emotions unless you are willing to go into the emotion and see the belief behind them and you also really need to realize that emotions are not nearly as dangerous as you might think, that you can go into them and you are still surviving.
It is sort of the image that Gautama Buddha gave some time ago, that there is this dark master who is supposedly sitting in a castle and everybody at lower levels are afraid of confronting him, but if you disregarded all the warnings and walked into the castle you would see that there was nobody there.
It is the same with emotions. Once you have used our tools to transform the energy you can go into it and you can see that there is no unbearable emotion. It is just energy, it is just an emotion and you can stand there, almost like in the center of a hurricane, and be unaffected by it. Then you can look for the belief, resolve it, and free yourself from the entire spiral.
