Question: Ascended masters have said that there is a need to express these higher ideas in a universal way. How do we approach this? Do we write something out of our minds or do we need to let our I AM Presence to speak through us? I tried to write something just on a blank page, but I realized there needs to be some kind of flow. Otherwise, the work does not go forward. Is it about finding our true voice, which would be the voice of our I AM Presences?
Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during a 2024 Deep Healing Retreat Conference in Tallinn, Estonia.
Well, it is neither this nor that. It is a combination. We give teachings from our level. What we desire to see happen is that you internalize these teachings and you express them from whatever level you are at. It is not necessary to come to some perfect state or some oneness with the I AM Presence so that it is the I AM Presence that is writing through you.
What is it we desire to see happen? It I s that you take the teachings that you can grasp because you are open to ascended masters and you step them down for people who are not open to ascended masters, but who can still take in the ideas. Your outer experience of growing up in a certain environment, being in a certain environment, having gone through certain issues in your psychology, in your outer life, whatever it may be, all of these things you have gone through. There are other people that are going through the same thing, but have not gone as far as you have. But the fact that you have gone through it means they can relate to you, whereas they cannot relate to us.
You can take two approaches to this. You can write based on your experience and background. Or you can be impersonal about it or write based on your experience, but in a more fictional way. Either way can work. You see many books out there where an author describes what situation they have gone through, their upbringing, and what process they have gone through to rise above it, at least somewhat. And this can be very helpful to people who are in the same situation. But you can also see examples of where a writer took his or her personal experience and turned it into a work of fiction that was not specific to them. It can even be a crime novel where the author writes based on his or her experiences of either being the victim of a crime or being in the police force, but it is a fictional story. And either way, it can be used to step down the teachings. And it may be that a book just contains a few ideas that we have given. It is not that you need to start with our ideas and make a list of what ascended master ideas you need to put in a book, and then you write from that list. Instead, you start with the experience and you just see where you might insert a few ideas that can help people. Not to know about ascended masters. We are not concerned about this. We do not need fame or fortune. We do not need ascended master books to become bestsellers. But we would like to see some books that contain a few ascended master ideas without mentioning where they come from. We would like to see some of those books become bestsellers.
There are authors today who are able to tune into us. They do not know it. They are not conscious of it, but they can receive a few ideas from us. And this is what you can all do as well. But do not start from our level and go down from there. Start at whatever story you want to tell, whatever audience you want to reach. Look at their situation and then see how certain ascended master ideas could be inserted in that story in order to help people.
There is always this tendency that spiritual people, not just ascended master students, but any kind of spiritual people, become so fixated on the need to convert other people to their teaching or their movement that they cannot step back and look for universal ideas. But this is not what we are asking you to do. We are asking you to step them down to a level where people can grasp them.
In a sense, you could say that what the messenger is doing with his YouTube videos is talking about his own experiences, the process he has gone through, and therefore, he is in a sense stepping this down for people. But he has been on the path for so long and he has risen so high above his beginning level that he is not really able to step it down because he cannot remember anymore how it was to be at the level of consciousness he was at when he was 18. And the same goes for some of you, but many of you are still in touch enough with what you have gone through, what other people are going through, that you can step it down further.
Basically, I would say do not analyze this with the linear mind. Do not overthink it. Try to just tune in. Writers always talk about inspiration, the muses. And yes, the muses are ultimately your I AM Presence or the ascended masters, but try to tune in. Where is there a story you can tell? And the story will not come from the Ascended Masters, but there will be certain ideas that come from us that can be inserted in the story.
It is like the messenger was talking to someone at lunch about this whole series of books, Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East, which many of you know, and for some it was your first spiritual book. And the idea was that in the late 1800s, early 1900s, there was this expedition of Western scientists that went to India and Tibet and traveled around and met these masters with a higher level of consciousness and the ability to dismantle their bodies and move their bodies and produce various phenomena. And then there was somebody who found out that the author of this had never actually been on such an expedition and there had not been an expedition and so forth. And some have used this to try to discredit the books. But you see, the whole idea of the expedition was a literary device. It was just to tell a story so that a few ideas could be inserted in there. What does it matter whether it was a true story or not?
When you free your mind from these constraints of this has to be this or it has to be that, you will get some inspiration and then there will be some flow. And then you write based on that. Some of you will be able to tune in to us. The book, “My Lives”, happened because the messenger had finished another book and he said, “Well, I have some time now. Is there anything you want me to do?” And he got the impulse to sit down at the computer and start writing. And without having any forethought, the whole book just flowed. But still that book is at a certain level where many people cannot grasp it. The teachings could be stepped down much more than that. It is individual for you to tune in and see what it might be for you. But do not feel the pressure that you have to do this. You need to tune into your Divine Plan. It may not be in your Divine Plan to be a writer. Do not force yourself. Do not ever force yourself with the outer mind, but instead step back from the outer mind. Tune in. If you cannot tune in because the outer mind interferes, then look for the separate selves that cause this interference. Let them go. Then you will be able to tune in.
