Question: Some rodents and insects, when they settle in a house, can carry diseases or cause damage by chewing on wires and other belongings. I realize that ultimately everything comes down to raising consciousness. Still my question is about the appropriate use of physical measures. The homeowner’s representative was expecting results from the humane methods I applied, like ultrasonic repellents. But when the issue did not resolve, he used poison. I could have stopped him, but I did not, understanding that the owner’s property could also be harmed. Now I am witnessing the rodents dying in pain and feel quite uneasy. In such a situation, what would be the wise course of action? If the rodents do not leave, can traps and poison be considered a balanced measure?

Well, you need to recognize here that earth is an unnatural planet. Therefore, you cannot adopt a universal measure that you should always be humane or non-harmful. There are certain Eastern teachings, including some Buddhic teachings, that talk about the need to be non-harmful to all forms of life. However, on an unnatural planet, this simply is not realistic. And therefore, there are some manifestations, as we have said, some animals and insects that are manifestations of a lower consciousness, an unbalanced consciousness, a dualistic state of consciousness. And in order to avoid them destroying something constructive, it is appropriate to use whatever physical means are available. You cannot let the fact that these rodents will die in pain stop you from doing something that will cause pain to humans.
As we have said before, humans are the highest evolutionary beings on earth. And therefore, when lower beings threaten humans, their health, their survival, it is appropriate to use whatever physical measures are available to stop this. We have also said that as we move further into the golden age, many of the current animal species, including all poisonous animals, many rodents, many insects, will become extinct because as the collective consciousness is raised, the consciousness that manifested these animals will no longer be found on the planet, and therefore, they will die out. Naturally, rodents are not going to be the first ones to die out, but still, the principle applies. So, you can feel at peace in using whatever practical methods are necessary in order to preserve something that is constructive. This does not mean that you cannot start by using the least harmful methods, but if they are not effective, then you need to be practical and use whatever measures are there.
