Question: Many young people were killed and injured in the recent Swiss resort fire. How do I understand a lot of young people who suddenly die after having fun?

Well, there is not much to understand other than karma. Karma can work itself out in many different ways. One of them is a sudden unexpected death, even at a young age. I am not saying this is easy to understand. As I said, you cannot really understand this with the rational, linear mind, but what you can say is that part of the equation in a case like this and many other nightclub fires that have happened in the world in recent years is that many young people have gotten themselves into a state of mind where they believe that when you are having fun, when you are relaxing, when you are partying, anything goes.
But you see on an unnatural planet like earth, is that attitude really constructive or is it dangerous? You can see that there is a certain correlation between the consciousness of the people who designed and built and owned the nightclub and the people who were there.
“Ah, anything goes. Nothing is going to happen. We are just having fun. What do we care about fire codes and escape routes and this and that? It is all just good fun. It is all good, right?” But it is not all good on a planet like earth. And unfortunately. some people need to learn that through the School of Hard Knocks that can become very hard and therefore, seem very harsh, even unjust. But there is always a correlation between the people’s consciousness and a physical event. As we have said before, karma is really your unresolved psychology.
