End of the war in Ukraine in 2025?

Question: Dear Masters, could you please share whether there is a realistic possibility that the war in Ukraine may come to an end this year, or do the current conditions suggest that the fighting and missile attacks against civilians are likely to continue for years ahead?

Answer from the Ascended Master Saint Germain through Kim Michaels.  This answer was given during the 2026 Kazakhstan Conference.

Well, there is a possibility that it will end this year. But it is not a given. The fighting could continue beyond this year. But as it looks right now, it is unlikely that it will continue beyond 2027. Because the Russian economy has already entered a phase that has created a decline. And the decline is irreversible. But it can be delayed. And of course, the current government is doing everything they can to delay it. But the question is, will it be a slow, gradual decline, or will there be some bigger breaks in the economy? And if there is not a bigger break, then the fighting could go beyond 2026. There is also the state of the Russian military, which of course is also in a state of decline, regardless of the propaganda.

The question in Russia today is the same question you do have in many other countries throughout history. And it is that you have created a false hierarchy system, where information only goes down, but there is no feedback loop to send the information back up. The question really is: “Is there anybody in Russia who clearly sees the state of the economy? Is there anybody in Russia who clearly sees the state of the military?” There may not be anyone inside the military who sees every aspect of the military’s situation and problems. In fact, let me just say there is not. Likewise, there is nobody who is an expert on the economy or who is in the political field who clearly sees the state of the economy. Because the system is created so that instead of someone who understands and is in contact with the state of the economy giving information back up, you have someone at the top, someone named Putin, who dictates how the economy should be. And therefore, those who are closest to Putin do not want to give him information that contradicts his view that Russia is winning.

And therefore, nobody really wants to know, and nobody really bothers to find out. Because what would they do with the actual information when they cannot change what is coming from the top? This is the same that you see in North Korea, to some degree, high degree in China. You see it in Iran. You saw it in Hitler’s regime, under Stalin, in the Soviet Union. Nobody really wants to know reality. They want to maintain the official view, the propaganda, the rosy picture painted. Incidentally, much the same is going on in the Trump administration and much of the government apparatus under Trump. As always, that is why there is a decline. Because nobody wants to know what is going on, which means the problems keep accelerating and there will come a point where they get so severe that they cannot be denied. But you see, in a system like this, the problems can keep escalating for a long time without anyone realizing how bad it is. By the time someone realizes that there is a crisis, it is too late to stop it.
