CRISPR technology

Question: What is the ascended masters’ opinion on CRISPR* technology? Some people are taunting it as a save-all method of medicine for all diseases.

And “C-R-I-S-P-R, it stands for Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats, is a technology that research scientists use to selectively modify the DNA of living organisms. CRISPR was adapted for use in the laboratory from naturally occurring genome editing systems found in bacteria.”

Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 American webinar.

It is not a cure-all. It is not a save-all method because there is no such thing. There is no one method or one technology that will ever be able to cure all diseases. This is, of course, partly because the only way to cure diseases is to also work with the psychology because all diseases have a psychological component. This entire dream of finding this one mechanical means whereby you can cure all diseases is simply an unrealistic dream.

Now, this is not to say that I denounce the technology. There is value in researching various technologies. And there will in the golden age, be technologies that are beyond what people can even imagine today that will help heal disease. But in the golden age it will also be so that there will be a clear recognition of the connection between the psychology and physical diseases so that you will work with both aspects of the person, and therefore have a more holistic approach to this.

The unfortunate outcome of materialistic science is this mechanical, mechanistic approach where you think that everything can be reduced to certain laws. And if you know those laws, you can change any effect by changing the cause. And this just is not the case. It is a detour for science. It will later be seen as a detour for science. But this is not to say that mechanical science has not produced certain valuable technologies. And CRISPR is one of those technologies that has a potential to be used. But you might recall, if you are into gene technology, that there was a time where people thought that by mapping the human genome they would be able to cure all diseases and this turned out not to be the case. There will always be a limit to what you can achieve with this kind of technology.
