Conception through rape and incest

Question: I currently live in a state where abortion is banned even in cases of rape and incest. Forcing a woman to give birth even in these situations seems cruel but at the same time as mentioned in other ascended master teachings there is also the opportunity of the lifestream to embody. Can the masters comment on this issue some more? Can they also comment on the various reasons why a lifestream would choose to embody in this way? Does the woman who undergoes this situation plan something like this before embodying as well? If so, what are the various reasons she would want to bring someone into this world in this way?

Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2023 American webinar.

Well, you cannot give a general answer to this question because there are always exceptions. There can be a few women who have it as part of their life plan, their Divine Plan, to be exposed to rape to become pregnant and to bring forth a child this way. This is then because they are wanting to force themselves to confront a certain psychological issue in themselves.

There can be various of these issues. But when you allow yourself to be violated it is because you have not been willing to stand up for yourself in past lives and you are wanting to force yourself to do it in this lifetime. There can also be the issue that you really want to force yourself to accept a child even if it is brought forth in this very difficult situation. You want to increase your tolerance, your forgiveness and even your ability to say: “Well, it is not the child’s fault that I was raped by the father and therefore I cannot let this affect the child”. These can be just some of the reasons why a few women choose this. But the vast majority of women who are victims of rape or incest, it is not something they deliberately plan. It is because they are not yet at the level of consciousness where they are really able to plan their next lifetime. They pretty much let their karmic circumstances outplay themselves. You have simply these karmic circumstances that manifests these kinds of situations.

What I am saying is that there are many people on earth who are not in detail planning their next embodiment, creating a Divine Plan, because they are not at a high enough level of awareness to do this. And this is what you would in a traditional way say it is the outplaying of karma, where it is simply the karma from past lives that materialized certain conditions in this lifetime. And then the people have to deal with it as best they can, which of course will be according to their level of consciousness.

Of course, talking about this issue, it is clear that in a democratic nation, it is simply cognitive dissonance to outlaw abortion in cases of rape and incest. You are, as a democratic country, saying that all people have rights and they have a right not to be forced. This means if they are forced by rape or incest, they should have the choice not to be forced to give birth to a child and perhaps be responsible for it for the rest of their lives. It is really inconsistent with the democratic ideals.

I know you can argue against this point endlessly, as some no doubt will do, but nevertheless, from the Christ perspective, if you are a democratic nation, well, then you must give people choice in situations like this where they are obviously forced. You can say as a democratic nation or democratic state: “Well, people are being told and taught what causes pregnancy, how to protect themselves against getting pregnant. If they do not take advantage of this and still get pregnant, then we can say they have exhausted their right to choose and therefore we have a right to forbid abortion as a means of prevention”. This is still consistent with democratic ideals. I am not saying that countries should do this. I am just saying this is at least consistent, whereas outlawing it in terms of rape and incest is not consistent with the democratic rights that people have.
