Changes in the energy sector

Question: The energy sector is on the brink of change because energy infrastructure needs to be transformed soon in order for it to be able to stand for example the huge loads from the quick charging power stations and keep providing electricity for everybody. For example 1 MWh station can consume as much energy that +- 1000 homes spend per year. Now the energy market has been fluctuating up and down and in those ups there has been really inhumane prices per kilowatt-hour for industry and homeowners.

The energy sector needs clearly to compensate with different battery storage technologies in order to smooth out the fluctuation prices or bring in new energy technologies. Why there seems to be resistance in energy monopoly corporations or lawmakers to transform the system even they see that it is a matter of time before the grid capacities begin to collapse because they can not anymore answer to the needs of electric vehicle revolution or the needs of the people.

How extreme the speculation in prices in energy market need to go before people are willing to say “thus far and not farther”!  Are we close to the shift where the lawmakers put forward change for more anti elitist energy sector and also systems that are harder to monopolize?

Well, there are many people who are able to see with the rational mind that there is a great need for changes in the energy sector. And strangely enough, this has been accelerated by the war in Ukraine and the pressure on the oil markets and gas markets resulting from the sanctions against Russia. This has made more people realize the need to create drastic changes in the energy sector. And there are certainly people who are beginning to realize that one of the major problems, as almost all people know from the oil crisis that has hit several times, is the monopolization of energy by countries or by large multinational corporations. There is definitely a growing awareness. There is definitely a growing willingness to counteract this. In fact, you see some countries who have already started doing this. But as usual, the United States is lagging behind other democratic nations because the United States is so heavily influenced by the financial elite, who are, of course, always trying to make a quick buck, as the saying goes, through speculation.

Now, we have talked about this before, that there is a great need for a willingness to stop speculation in all aspects of society. And we are indeed approaching the point where this will begin to break through. And more and more governments and lawmakers will see that it is their responsibility to prevent a small elite from speculating and thereby putting this unreasonable burden on the broad population. Exactly when it would happen is again up to free will, but we are definitely getting closer to a breakthrough in this area.
