Question: In Maitreya’s book it is stated, “a new co-creator has only a small portion of a spiritual being embedded, whereas an avatar has a greater portion, the size depending on the purpose for which it is created.” For what purposes do spiritual beings invest a greater portion of their own consciousness into a being descending as an avatar than into another being descending as a new co-creator? Can it be said that avatars are originally created for this purpose rather than becoming avatars later in the development of the lifestream?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2026 Kazakhstan Conference.
You need to recognize here that your view of the teaching is not quite where it needs to be. A new co-creator can be a being on a natural planet or an unnatural planet. But a new co-creator has only a certain portion of the spiritual being embedded within it, the spiritual being meaning both the I AM Presence and the ascended beings that created the I AM Presence, because the whole process is that as you multiply the talents given you will receive more. An avatar was not created as an avatar, an avatar was created as a new co-creator and gradually grew in attainment on a natural planet. And that is why more and more was invested in the avatar. We could say it this way: “Co-creators are created, avatars are made by self-transcendence.” You can say that: “Co-creators are created for different purposes depending on the planet they are created for”, because planets can be very different. But you cannot say that:” An avatar was created for a specific purpose”, because an avatar is a result of the development of the lifestream.
