Question: Can you comment on race relations in the United States of America?
Answer from the Ascended Master Mother Mary through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2025 USA Conference.
Well, this is obviously a very big and complex topic. But what I will say is this. There are no black people in heaven. There are no white people in heaven. There are no red or yellow or green or blue people in heaven. Because when you ascend, you transcend all of these characteristics. And that means that from an ascended master perspective, race does not in any way impair your ability to grow spiritually or your ability to do things on earth. Because what we see, of course, is the reality of reincarnation. You can have a lifestream who over many embodiments has built certain abilities, has acquired certain skills and abilities. And whether that lifestream takes embodiment in a white or black body does not matter. All have the same potential to grow. And that is, from our perspective, what is important.
Now, it is clear, of course, that most people do not see it that way. And certainly, when it comes to the inferiority superiority dynamic, there is a clear sense among white people that they are superior and clear sense among some black people that they are inferior. And this, of course, is something that needs to be transcended if America is to live up to its highest potential. There needs to come a point where it does not matter what color your skin has. All people are given equal opportunity to learn, to study, to grow, to get jobs, and all people are given equal opportunity to have positions in society. This, of course, will be a long process. Even right now, you see the struggle to create some kind of equal opportunity between men and women. It is a long-term process to overcome the racial issue. But the only remedy for it really is the raising of consciousness, the raising of what we have called the basic humanity, where you see beyond the outer characteristics such as sex or skin color and see the being behind, the being that inhabits the body, and you honor that being, and you honor that all beings were created of equal value by the Creator, and therefore, deserve equal opportunity and treatment in society.
What I would say, at an individual level, is that, if you are a spiritual person on the spiritual path, strive to overcome any cultural or racial programming, any subconscious selves, so you come to a point where your race, your skin color, your sex, your background, whatever, does not matter to you. You have transcended it, where it does not define you. This is just the body you have. But you are striving to express your highest potential, be an open door for your I AM Presence, the ascended masters, and you see that your race, your background, does not limit or define you. But it can in some cases give you a way to express something higher that is adapted to that background, because you know that background. But it may also be, for some of you, that it is in your Divine plan that you completely transcend your background and do something in society that has nothing to do with whether you are black or white or Asian or Native American. As you go into the levels of Christhood, all of these things fade away. They have no power over you. They do not define you. And there is actually an incredible value in having somebody who grew up in a minority, for example, African Americans, who are transcending that mindset, that cultural bias, and simply expressing themselves freely so as to demonstrate that race does not matter.
