Question: The Jehovah’s Witnesses have predicted that 1914 would be a critical year based on some math they came up with in the Bible. I understand from the “My Lives…” book why 1914 was such a tumultuous year, but is there any validity to the math the Jehovah’s Witnesses came up with?
Answer from the Ascended Master Jesus through Kim Michaels. This answer was given during the 2024 Chicago Conference.
There is no validity to this. There really is no validity to this or many other people who have looked at the Bible and tried to come up with math or quotes or this or that. It is pure fantasy to think that you can look at the Bible as old of a text as it is, as it was created over so many lifetimes by so many different people, how it has been transcribed, there have been transcription errors, there have been translation errors, and now you take this book that was originally given in a completely different language, you look at it in English translation, and you try to come up with some code or math that supposedly says something about the future. It is simply a completely unrealistic scenario that I encourage spiritual people to not spend your time and energy and attention on. It is a fruitless endeavor.
The future is, as we have said so many times, not set in stone. It cannot be predicted, certainly not by something that was written down thousands of years ago. You know if you look at science, that classical physics believed the universe was deterministic, you know that quantum physics has shown that you cannot predict anything with certainty, you can only predict probabilities. What we have told you about free will validates the quantum mechanical view. You live in a probabilistic universe. Yes, you can look at certain trends that are happening right now, and you can say there is a certain probability that certain things will happen, but the further you go into the future, the lower the probability becomes that you can predict it, because it shifts all the time as the collective consciousness is shifting. And as you know from what the Buddha has mentioned about the interdependent originations, the consciousness is constantly shifting, and the entire equation shifts constantly.
That is why we have basically almost stopped giving any kind of prophecies, because everything is changing very, very quickly in these years. This is partly because we moved into the Aquarian Age, partly because so many people around the world are open to new ideas, even spiritual ideas, whether they know about ascended masters or not. Many people are seeking to work on their psychology, raise their consciousness, and the equation of the collective consciousness is shifting very, very quickly, and therefore, it is a fool’s errand to think you can predict anything. Even for us who can look at the situation right now, it is difficult to predict.
But to think that something that was written down by people in a completely different state of consciousness thousands of years ago, that this has some predictive power, is just simply a complete waste of your opportunity to be alive, because there are so many other things you could be focusing your attention on, and it can only be people who have given up all willingness to look at themselves, and to actually look at what is the message in the Bible, especially my teachings. As fragmented, as incomplete as they are, there are still messages that can be learned, but if you are trying to come up with something like this, you are demonstrating you are not a Christian. You are not in any way willing to look at my message and look at what it actually means. You have completely perverted my teachings, you have completely gone into a blind alley, and I am telling you, if anybody would ever listen to this, that you will deeply regret this after this lifetime, deeply regret it. Because I have seen so many people, not only Jehovah’s Witnesses, but others of these close-minded Christian groups who, when they go out of embodiment, and they see what they actually did, how they closed their minds, how they missed the opportunity, they have the deepest regret of this.
