Chocolate, cocoa and coffee

Question:  Masters, I read that in the Summit Lighthouse, the master said that coffee and chocolate were crops designed by lower beings. I would like to ask about the health impact of these foods, because I am a researcher in this field, and a common knowledge is that compounds that are contained in coffee, tea, and chocolate, called polyphenoids, show a positive impact on human health. I would like to ask, are polyphenoids good for human health? Is pure cocoa with no sugar added good for human health? Thank you.

Well, the question cannot really be answered in this general way that it is asked, because what does it mean that something is good for human health? There can certainly be compounds that have an effect on a specific aspect of human health, or on specific diseases, or specific bodily conditions. And you can say that there are many of the foods on earth that fall in this category. They have a specific impact on certain things. But you also know from medicine that something can have a positive impact on one condition, but have side effects, or even have a negative impact on other conditions.

However, what was said in the Summit Lighthouse was not primarily about the physical health, but more of the impact on your emotional, mental, and identity bodies, and your overall spiritual growth, where there is a tendency that chocolate, and coffee, and tea do not have a positive impact on your growth. I am not necessarily in this dispensation recommending that people abstain completely from these foods. We have preferred to leave this up to your individual discretion. There are some people for whom the impact is minimal, but there are others for which it would be beneficial for them to abstain from this. There is a need to tune into this individually through your intuition. But again, you can only do this if you put yourself in a neutral state of mind, and do not have a preconceived opinion about what the answer should be for you personally.
