Question: When I was young, I thought that ancient mythologies were just invented by humans. They try to explain the events in nature and they personalize them, give them names and invent different stories about them. But some mythologies are very famous. For example, the book about Greek mythology was obligatory reading at school. Who or what then were gods of ancient Sumer, Egypt, Greece? Were they very evolved beings from other earthly or non-earthly civilizations that incarnated on earth, some possibly even fallen beings? Some may be ascended masters now. I remember a dictation from the Ascended Master Pallas Athena. I know some people, especially from the younger generation, that are fascinated with so-called pagan gods and mythologies, like Slavic or Nordic mythologies, and they are convinced they are still very active gods. Who or what are then gods like Odin, Isis or Lady Freya?

Well, this is a complex question because these gods that have been revered throughout the ages come from a variety of backgrounds. You need to recognize, first of all, that since the creation of the earth, there have been ascended masters who assisted the lifestreams that embodied on earth. But after human beings lost contact with the ascended masters, there are a lot of spiritual teachings, religious teachings on earth that did not come from the ascended realm. You also need to recognize that even when people had contact with the ascended masters, we did not give just one particular teaching because we gave teachings for different groups of people who lived at that time separately because there was not the transportation and communication technology that you have today. We gave different teachings to different people in order to help them rise to higher levels of awareness. Then when people stepped into duality, it was much more difficult for us to give a pure teaching and that is why you have many different religions that are not purely from the ascended realm but they had some inspiration from the ascended realm that was then later distorted as for example also the Christian religion was later distorted.
But you also need to recognize that after the descent into duality, many groups of people could not contact the ascended masters but they could make contact with beings in the lower identity realm, the mental realm and even the emotional realm. And some groups of people received teachings from those realms where the beings in those realms created their own visions of gods. You have a very complex picture here where some of these religions that ancient groups of people received from the identity, mental and astral realm have survived at least in some form. There is some mythology that survives. And you also have to add more complexity to it that there were fallen beings that came to earth and brought with them their gods from where they came from before. These were not gods, they were fallen beings in the emotional, mental and identity realms. There was a fallen being that took physical embodiment but there were also fallen beings in the other realms.
And the fallen being in physical embodiment often venerated at least one being but often several beings in one of the other realms as a god-like figure. Several religions were created by the fallen beings or were brought to earth by the fallen beings. Now we have on top of this, to add even more complexity—I hope you are reaching a state of magnificent confusion—we have also explained that when human beings focus their attention on almost anything, they feed their energy and consciousness into it and they create this living entity, this beast, this collective self. When human beings focus on a particular image of God, they worship it, they venerate it, they sacrifice to it, whatever they do, they are actually creating an entity in the emotional, mental, identity realm or at least in one of those realms. You can say that there are some of these religions, or in fact you could say that most of them, there is a certain being that matches the description of Odin or Thor or this or that god known from other religions, from various religions.
And it has a certain energy, a certain awareness, it is not self-aware, it is not actually a god, of course, but it wants to perpetuate itself, so it wants people to worship it and do whatever people do. All I am trying to say here is that the image is very complex.
There are some of these ancient religions that have some names that have later been used by ascended masters. It does not mean you have to take this in a linear way, but there are cases of course where there was a being who grew to become an ascended master and therefore took on a name from some mythology. It does not necessarily mean that Pallas Athena was an actual god, but you understand that when you are an ascended master you can embody certain qualities and therefore you can take on a name that is known to people in the hope that the ascended master can assist these people. I do not want to go into a detailed description of all of this because it is way beyond what we can do here. It would fill several thick books if you were to explain it all and what is really the point of explaining it all when the important point is that you have a teaching now that helps you transcend the need for these lesser gods so you can ascend where you do not need a remote god, you do not need to worship a god because you have become an ascended being.
