Question: I know two people who have experienced being struck by lightning and who became clairvoyant, being able to see energies and getting information about people, etc. after that event. What happened to them and why?

Well, I know that many spiritual people have a desire to be clairvoyant and have their third eyes opened. But I definitely do not recommend that you go out on an open field during a thunderstorm hoping to be struck by lightning. I do not recommend that you enter a mental institution and ask to be given electroshock. I do not recommend that you electrocute yourself, of course.
There can be, of course, special circumstances where people go through such a transformation. You might know that a number of years ago there was a man in the United States called Dannion Brinkley who was struck by lightning. And it changed his life dramatically and he has written books about it and given many talks about this. This is something that can happen both for people’s personal growth, but also to help the collective growth. And what basically, you could say happens is that when you go through a dramatic event—it does not have to be being struck by lightning— people can be catapulted out of their normal approach to life, their normal worldview, the normal way of looking at life and they become more open to something else.
Now, you have to be very careful here and realize that even though people might have this greater openness or sensitivity, it does not mean that they have overcome their subconscious selves. Being clairvoyant does not mean that you are now at a certain level of the spiritual path. You can be struck by lightning at the 48th level. It does not mean you are catapulted to the 96th level. You may have a certain sensitivity or ability to see certain things, but you are still at the 48th level, you behave like a person at the 48th level, you interpret what you see through that level. And this is not in itself growth. It can lead to growth if it is used that way, but it is not an automatic growth path. It is much more constructive for an ascended master student to use our tools to focus on overcoming all of these selves, raising your consciousness. And then being content by realizing that whether or not you have any particular ability is a matter of what you put in your Divine Plan. So be at peace with it. Be at peace with your Divine Plan and decisions you made before you came into embodiment.
Do not lust after these things. Do not become like the people Jesus talked about that the violent seek to take the kingdom of God by force. You actually cannot take the kingdom of God by force, but you can take certain extra sensory perception or certain other abilities by force as the fallen beings, many fallen beings have attempted to do for a long time. This is what then becomes a form of black magic because it is not the result of genuine spiritual growth. And it means that these people are using it for selfish purposes in order to gain an advantage or to simply set themselves up as being superior or being special, being venerated, being even worshiped or obeyed by other people.
