Jesus’ physical appearance was a reflection of his true teachings

TOPICS: Scholars don’t agree on anything – the disagreement about facts keeps people from forming a closed mental box – Jesus was not dark skinned – Jesus had a universal appearance –

Question: Though this question may not seem important to many because it is purely historical and not spiritual, though it can clear some misunderstanding arising from different views. What was your true skin color? Some say Jesus was born where there are no white-skinned people, others even insist he was of Arab descent, which is true.

Answer from ascended master Jesus through Kim Michaels:

If you care to study the discussions among historians and biblical scholars, you will discover an interesting phenomenon. There is absolutely no aspect of my life and mission about which there is universal agreement. No matter what you might say about me, there will be some who say it is not true. There are indeed some who say I did not exist as a historical figure.

While it might seem surprising to some, I am actually not unhappy with this state of affairs. It is not my desire to release to humankind a complete historical record of my life and mission in Galilee. The reason is that if such a complete record was given, people would quickly turn it into a graven image. They would use it to create a mental box and they would put me inside that mental box forever. Which means that their minds would now be closed to a higher understanding of who I really am, why I came back then and why I am here today.

Part of my mission was to show people that there is a true way to salvation, and this way goes beyond the mental boxes that people have created—the way that seems right unto a human. Therefore, the fact that there is so much disagreement about the historical facts, serves the function of keeping at least some people from solidifying their mental images of me. This actually helps open many people’s minds to a new understanding of my true teachings.

Let me make a very clear statement. Whatever image you could possibly create of me, whether it be the way I was 2,000 years ago or the way I am today, I will always be more than your image. You cannot capture me any more than you can capture a rainbow. If you keep running after the fleeting images of the rainbow, you will not find a pot of gold. You will one day realize that you have wasted your life running after phantoms instead of using your time to internalize my true teachings and thereby reach Christ consciousness.

Having said that, my skin color was lighter than the average Jew. My hair color was medium blond to dark blond, tinged with red. I did not have the typical facial features of a Jew or an Arab, and I was not of Arab descent. I had a physical appearance that was as universal or neutral when it comes to race as it is possible to get. My physical appearance was a reflection of my true teachings. They were as neutral when it comes to religion as it was possible to get at the time. Would that more people would look beyond the mental boxes of my teachings that have been created by orthodox Christianity and look for the true universal path that leads them to Christ consciousness instead of chasing the man-made rainbows.

Yet even my true universal teachings are but a rainbow compared to the Living Truth of God. Nevertheless, if you do chase that rainbow, you might one day find the pot of gold—but only if you look for it in the kingdom of God that is within you.
