Question: I know that Master MORE during the New Year webinar has said that the Philippines is an example of a nation who has a more balanced use of power in the previous year of 2025. However there are so many revelations of rampant corruption, especially in the Congress, where as much as 60 to 70% of the funds for projects are lost. The government is not able to prosecute these public officials and they are trying to bury the issue with the common people losing hope that these people will ever be held accountable. There is a lack of a violent uprising which is a good thing, but the ordinary Filipino feels this hopelessness and despair that corruption is so ingrained in the government that nothing will change as with previous scandals before. How can we bring these officials or make these officials accountable as well as give hope for a better future in our country?

Well, the very fact that people are becoming aware of the corruption is always the first step and it is a decisive step because corruption obviously thrives better when it is in the shadows, when it is not openly acknowledged even though everybody may know about it. But the fact that it is becoming more acknowledged means that there is hope for the future and that what will happen in the Philippines is what has already happened in many of the other more advanced democracies where gradually an awareness will begin to arise that a critical mass of the population will no longer accept corruption and then the politicians simply will have to change and they will change or a new breed of politician will come into power.
This has already happened. It is not like people can do anything decisive about it. As an ascended master student you can obviously make the calls for it, but it really is a growing awareness that is happening all over the world and you are simply part of that way and you are not as far behind as you might think. Of course I understand that most people will not change their sense of hopelessness until they see results, but the results will gradually be forthcoming in the Philippines and in many other nations. But of course it is a complex issue because you also have to find a way to pay public officials so they do not have to engage in corruption to survive in their jobs. But again other countries have done this. Many of the countries in Eastern Europe have overcome the systemic corruption that they inherited from communist times. When you look at this you can see that it can be done and just the fact that there is a growing awareness shows that you have already started the process.
