Question: I have been practicing Mother Mary’s meditation to heal the birth trauma, from the book Healing Your Spiritual Traumas for over a year. While practicing this meditation, I feel discomfort, pain and inner tension after some time. Then I stop and pause for a while and then I continue again. I feel lighter than I did a year ago when I first started the meditation. Can you tell me if I am doing everything right?

You need to not lock your mind on giving one particular meditation or invocation. If you get the kind of reaction you are describing from giving a particular invocation or exercise, then do something else for a while. The reason for the discomfort is that there is something you have not seen. There is some separate self that you have not seen.
This is because either you are not capable of seeing it right now, or you are not willing to see it. You need to step back, do some of the other invocations and exercises, and look at the issue from a different angle, a different perspective. Then hopefully, over time, you will get to the bottom of the separate selves, see them for what they are, and let them die, so that you can move on.
