There is no positive side of shame

Question: Question about what is the function of shame.  Shame of being spiritual among non spiritual people. How can you use the realization of shame for something positive?

Answer from Kim Michaels. This answer was given at a conference in Estonia in 2017.

Kim: I don’t think you can use it for something positive because you just need to transcend it. Shame is just one of the weapons used by the fallen beings. The masters talk about it in their dictations about how what they really want to accomplish is to make us feel we were wrong for coming here. And shame is a part of that. Also shame relates to how you feel about yourself, that there is something flawed or wrong about you. And so that’s why they want to keep us in that state of shame so we can’t get out of it and accept who we really are. The whole concept of original sin was designed to make people feel ashamed for just being alive, for just being humans. So you can have different levels of shame. Many Christians for example, feel that there is a certain shame related to their sexuality.  And so you should feel you might have sex, it’s hard to avoid but you should at least feel ashamed about it, then it’s not as bad. But there’s a deeper more existential shame that comes with this original sin idea, and that is that you should feel ashamed just for being human even though you didn’t create yourself a sinner. God supposedly created you, but you should still feel ashamed about it. It’s completely illogical so it really only has the function of holding us back on the path. And when we realize it’s one of the primary weapons of the fallen beings we can begin to do something about it but of course we need to recognize that at some point in the past we created a separate self that its function is like a computer program, its function is to make us feel ashamed especially for doing certain things but also another self just for being here, for being who we are. So I don’t see how you can turn it into a positive unless you become aware that it’s not the right feeling and then you develop that determination and that say, I’m going to get over this. I don’t want to be trapped in this anymore and I’m going to do whatever it takes to get over this.

Sound files webinar

The sound files for the Holland 2020 webinar are now on the subscribers website, in a folder named Women2020.

Webinar times and last call to sign up

For practical reasons, we will not be selling access to the webinar after midnight CEST Friday, May 29th, so if you are planning to attend but have not yet purchased the webinar, please do so before then.
Apparently there has been some confusion about the time difference, so I wanted to clear that up.
The times given for the webinar are based on the time in Copenhagen, Denmark, which is on central European summer time (CEST), which is UTC +2.
The easiest way to figure out the time difference between your location and CEST is to search for time zone converter, or use this link:
Enter your home town first, then enter Copenhagen and the program will give you the time for both locations so you can figure out the difference.
